2461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Greececoin (GRCE) - LAUNCHED GET MINING! - NET HASH OVER 5GH!! *NEW* on: March 24, 2014, 09:53:00 AM
It does not look very good that the dev has spent 50,000 out of the premine!!!!
It was nested into multiple transactions, each transaction halving.
with smaller and smaller wallet balances.

At this point.... IDK.

I now know of several forum members who did work for the dev and didn't receive their bounties and haven't had their emails/pms replied to in days.
So those coins don't look like they've been sent for bounties  Angry
2462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 24, 2014, 09:46:43 AM
I wonder how this thread would have evolved if it wasn't opened in the alt coins section where all the little "devs" are defending their shit coins and where people who are really interested in real crypto development rarely enter.

+1

Social network distribution is probably the easiest to game, one can buy thousands of accounts.
2464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it bad luck or bad trading? on: March 24, 2014, 06:09:17 AM
bad trading imo, simply stay away from the overhyped flavor of the day coins, they are too much of a gamble.
2465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why does Max Keiser still have any credibility? on: March 24, 2014, 04:15:31 AM
his pump of quark was a big warning sign, and now after maxcoin he has zero credibility. raves on about the greedy bankers yet he himself is worse then them.
2466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 24, 2014, 01:51:50 AM
imo IPO's should be banned fullstop.
2467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin sCrypt | new Client v1.2 | NOW ON MINTPAL! on: March 24, 2014, 01:11:10 AM
seriously ?

and you guys have been bumping this super old shit last few weeks why ?
woudln't have anything to do with Scrypt asics looming now would it ?

utterly retarded bs .

One of the main factors here is voting to change the algo if asics becomes an issue, something the likes of ltc is unlikely to do, and of course btc will never do.
2468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Any Alt Coin Gain Widespread Acceptance before LTC? on: March 23, 2014, 11:04:14 PM
Well firstly this post is just an open invitation to people to post about the coins they are bagholders etc.

Its pretty obvious that ltc is by far the lead alt coin (even if a flavor of the day looks like its market cap exceeds ltc), and the most widely accepted.

2469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 23, 2014, 10:50:53 PM
DDOS and Hacking are not the answer. instead, we lobby the staff to ban releases in the alt section or even posting about the releases in the alt section. that eliminates the problem from this board. let the scammers release their coins somewhere else. we can all enjoy a better community as a result.

I think as posted earlier a great idea would be to ban newbie account from new coin ann, even make it having a decent period of say 6 month before you can make a new coin ann.
Allowing anon newbie account to ann new coins is basically an open invitation to scammers.
2470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 23, 2014, 10:47:10 PM
I sure am glad Franko made the 8 month cut, especially since it has actual markets in place i.e. services other than BE or Exchange.
The "8 month" is arbitrary nonsense. Probably, the OP registered or launched a coin 8 months ago

Something I agree on, a scams a scam whether its an older scam or a newer scam, should be no time limit on this.

Although granted there maybe a coin or 10 that started as a scam, that now the original dev is long gone and a whole new geniune dev and community has formed around it, so maybe thats why the OP put that period on it?
2471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 23, 2014, 10:29:08 PM
I don't agree with much thats posted in this thread, both pros and cons do make good points, but few can deny the alt section of btt has become loaded with scams and scammers.

This section is about alt cryptos and not about the fastest way to make fiat.
2472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Feathercoin Looking for Team Members. on: March 23, 2014, 02:49:16 PM
Work your ass off to inflate the value of coins held by other people... What a gig!

yes we know you find it better working your ass off to decrease the value of everyones coins by helping create the sea of shitcoins.

finally synced. I deleted the blockchain and downloaded it again.

that gets me in all sorts of mess for some reason with this coin (just tried), been down this road before only way to save it seems a fresh install on another system and copy paste my wallet.

Premine too big, scam listing on Cryptsy.

Added to the shitlist.

do you know what the premine is for? no scam listing to get it on cryptsy. research first before pointing the finger everywhere.
2476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ✠ The Official AltCoin WhiteList ➢ For Real Coins☆With Real Devs☆With Real Goals on: March 23, 2014, 09:14:36 AM
You're being far too liberal with your whitelist here.
Any premined coins should go on the blacklist, imo.

wasn't doge premined?
2477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: March 23, 2014, 09:10:51 AM
Anyone who supports the 50% premine on Greececoin is an idiot.

Go the thread here and repost the scam

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=516955.0

I have sooooooo many to add to the OP.

yes and strange (as I posted earlier) how its a coin for Greece yet it is in english (interpretations into chinese and hebrew)...hmmmm I'm guessin the dev knows very little about Greece.
2478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ✠ The Official AltCoin WhiteList ➢ For Real Coins☆With Real Devs☆With Real Goals on: March 23, 2014, 08:25:22 AM

Bitcoin scrypt - just a copy of bitcoin and litecoin. It does not offer any innovation at all. Just mocking the bitcoin algo.

Completely wrong I think you need to research bitcoin scrypt alittle more before blacklisting it. Its brave enough to do what Bitcoin Devs are too scared to do, change the algo to keep mining fairer.

bitcoin scrypt also meets all the criteria listed in the title  "For Real Coins☆With Real Devs☆With Real Goals " has all 3.

and in the opening statement you clearly state "A coin cannot be whitelisted or blacklisted just because of its name." hmmmm

Then give the reasoning, at some point I will research all of this too.

So you put it in the blacklist without even researching it....nice  Roll Eyes....sounds a tad like when they banned it here.

lmao my location is also listed in my profile  Grin, many here have my address and have meet up locally lol

Are you going to take part in a hashing pool intended to destroy a coin that has value and a lot of people are holding?

Cross my heart I won't take part in destroying anything of "value" Wink

I have before and absolutely assure you I will destroy shit coins and the more valuable, the warmer inside I feel.

My favorite coin to fork was Gamecoin.

That one really stung a lot of people.
