3461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to find ICOs worth investing? on: February 22, 2022, 07:04:38 PM
Hello! Is it still worth to invest into ICOs? If so, how do I find the good ones? Any recommendations here ?Smiley
Personally, I think that the first thing that you will have to do is to look for a reliable platform where ICOs are being listed, and when you have gotten a good platform where the best airdrops are more likely to be listed, you can then get started from there, but that doesn’t mean that you are safe, you still have to be very selective.

The good thing about getting the right platform is that you will be getting the best and as well most of the ICOs you will find would be legit. After that you have to start properly going through any ICO you see, making sure that every thing about it is good before you sign up for it.
3462  Economy / Economics / Re: Your opinion on side jobs on: February 22, 2022, 01:06:27 PM
This is the benefit of a side job, apart from not hindering the main job, this can also be used as an option to get a bigger profit in this case, of course (salary money).
There are some that are sacrificed, such as time to play, for example, that time is indeed used to do the side job.
You have done something good, as long as it doesn't interfere with business and the main thing is a side job is a very good thing to do even though we do need sacrifices in the division of time we have
I basically did this way back in the day. I was a content writer in my own language for a company as a junior marketing analyst, I should have been titled content writer but they just gave me an analyst title while making me write. Sadly enough, I am not great at my native language and kept making silly grammar mistakes.

During that period I met with my current boss who was in crypto and he was looking for a content writer, looked like not a greatly difficult job, and offered me 2 times more than what I was making if I worked really hard. I couldn't reach that level because I couldn't write that much content, but instead of wearing a suit and going to work 1.5 hours going and 1.5 hours coming back, I stayed at home with my pyjamas and made enough money. Ever since that day, I have been full time crypto marketing person and loving every single day of it.

I have heard that Pep Guardiola is really eager to keep Raheem Sterling at the club by extending his contract. Because there are so many rumours like he can leave the club this summer if he doesn't get a new offer from his current club.
I expect City keep Sterling at the Etihad, he has been brilliant for them for a long time now and even if there have been periods of loss of form (which is normal), he is still an invaluable player overall. City got Grealish at the beginning of this season, and i kinda think that signing was in response to sterlings loss of form at the time and possibility of an exit, but Grealish has been far from good since signing for City, and that could thus give them double thoughts if to let Sterling go or not.
That depends a bit on the transfers they are aiming at, isn't it? We are forgetting but this was the club that made some fake deals to get themselves to financial fair play and that means they didn't just fake it, the owners literally lost money on those deals from their own pockets (or networks pockets basically) to make themselves look richer (the club) and that means they would be willing to do everything they can to get the biggest names.

City is doing awesome right now but believe me, they could do a lot better. They have so much money that, they could offer 200 million dollars to Mbappe, not that he would leave, he is going to Madrid if you ask me, but at the end of the day they have that kind of money and that matters a lot. If they get a star like that, then Sterling could be gone.
3464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 21, 2022, 08:15:38 PM
While I do understand that an all-star game has little to no defense at all, you can never discount the potential and skill of Steph Curry making 16 threes throughout the entire game.

What makes this more interesting is that he made all of those 3s in different types (e.g. off the dribble, corner, beyond the arc, catch and shoot, etc.). I mean he is just very exciting to watch and he literally changed on how players play the game of basketball. An open three-point to him is equitable to a lay-up- just effortless and easy.
This was something I talked with my friend, I mean yes there is less defence but he made some shots that were insane. First of all he was defended whenever he was around the three point line, not like he wasn't defended, and the ones that he didn't get too much defence were like a foot in the half court line, he shot from 40 feet multiple times. I just wish he scored that half court shot as well because that would be stupidly great.

Defence or no defence, that 16 made threes is something that is insane, hell even 27 threes taken is something that is unheard of, that alone is great and shows confidence. It was obvious that Curry would be out there dominating if you give him that flying zone availability.
3465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 20, 2022, 08:02:51 PM
Well, they paid a lot, but eventually the player is leaving the club, isn't it? And that also is happening the very next year.

Not much of a really good deal, is it? And obviously, they are not going to pay €200 million directly to a player, because they are not stupid…. Right???

I think that time has come. Now PSG should accept the fact that they are going to face a big loss and have to let the player go.
99.99% that he leaves yes. And not next year, but this summer.
PSG already lost 200 million when they refused to sell him to Real Madrid. Now his contract is ending and they will not receive any compensation for his departure. It turns out that this year PSG paid 200 ++ (he still has a salary) million euros for the fact that Mbappe plays for them.
It is still a loss but not as big as you assume it is. I do not know the numbers and there is not an exact number for some of them but they did made some profit thanks to him as well. First of all you have to consider the jersey sales, Mbappe jerseys got sold this year, and that means they made some profit from having him this year, because those jersey sales are expensive and does bring in some money for the team.

Secondly they are going to end up being first in the league and win a lot of games and we can't exactly say how much of that was thanks to Mbappe, maybe all, maybe none, maybe somewhere in between and that means they made some profit from that.

We had fans going to stadium to watch him as well and we do not know that neither, they played in French cup and that is some extra as well and we do not know how many he won, and they are in UCL and who knows maybe win it? Maybe they won't but he helped there as well. So, we know that it wasn't zero, which makes it less than 200+ million lost.
3466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 20, 2022, 06:41:44 PM
Roma's draw I think is a reasonable result because we know Roma have not been consistent enough so far, but about Milan and Juventus I think these two teams can definitely win, especially about Milan. Just can't believe that Torino and Salernitana can provide a strong enough resistance to these favourites, Milan has a good chance to continue to collect full points because Inter, who are still playing less, are of course a very serious threat to Milan's position at the top. Likewise with Juventus, they are still not safe in their current position.
Roma getting a tie should be a danger bells ringing for Mourinho type of deal. I am not goign to hide or say anything but the reality is that I dislike Mourinho to begin with so I am a bit biased about this topic but I still believe that if you took Roma that was 7th and ended up as a team who is 7th again and getting a draw against Verona on a game this important than you should probably not be managing Roma and managing a much smaller team.

He is a great coach if you give him the exact roster type he wants. He doesn't even need super quality players, he just need players who are good enough on the roles he will give them, but if you give him players who are MUCH better but do not play the way he wants, then he is going to end up losing more games and that's his problem. Like a player who is 70/100 but amazing at "that" role, would play better for Mourinho than a player who is 90/100 but plays differently and not many teams could get those transfers.
3467  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to buy? on: February 20, 2022, 03:19:44 PM
long term is very suitable to make a purchase
for bitcoin at its current condition, because the price will strengthen again when the market returns to the green line, in this way we are able to get big profits in investing in bitcoin, many people take advantage of correction conditions to make purchases, depending on the readiness of the capital they have, because In fact, investment cannot be forced to be greater than the capital we have, but maximize profits so that they are in accordance with capital expenditures.
Right. indeed bitcoin investment in the long term always gives big profits. Imagine, the price of bitcoin continues to creep up over time. Even in 2021, the price of bitcoin set a new ATH record in the $68k price range. Therefore, when the bitcoin situation is in a bearish trend, it becomes an opportunity for us to buy and store Bitcoin before returning to the uptrend.
I know that the price will be 68k+ one day, I am not guessing, I know it will be from the bottom of my heart and if it doesn't then I would be super shocked. It means that buying at these prices and waiting however long I have to wait is a fine deal and it is not a big problem for me at all. Doesn't mean that I will get super rich right away, but I know that at the very least I will be able to profit from this a bit when I wait long enough.

To know that you will profit, if you wait, is good enough for me and I feel like anything that doesn't have a loss risk is a great deal and I do not feel like there could be a loss as long as you can wait long enough. Maybe I am wrong but I like to believe that I am right.
3468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 19, 2022, 08:58:46 PM
In the second half Juventus seemed to be playing defensively and some of Juventus' mainstay defenders did not play making the defense less than optimal because Turino in the second half continued to attack and also created several chances. Which finally Andrea Belotti was able to score a goal in the 62nd minute and change the score to 1-1 until the end of the match.
It's a shame that Paulo Dybala was the victim in the match against Turino and he was injured, and that's worrying considering Dybala is an important player to face Villarreal in the UCL later. And it has not been confirmed whether he will play or not and also several Juventus players who are still injured.
That's the thing about current Juventus, they are playing like they are not a big team and playing like a mid level team. A mid level team would get ahead and then try to stay back and not get scored, a big team ends up trying to score even more. You do not see City players go back on defense and try to keep a 1-0 score that way, you see them trying to score the second, even the third goal and never really back down.

You do not see this even from Inter or Milan from this league neither. So, it is really not a cool move by Juventus to give up that easily and try to keep the score at 1-0 for the remainder of the game. Shows a lack of confidence in the team and in the manager as well, if manager didn't give that order the players wouldn't have done that. Dybala is a greatly important player but by the looks of it him playing doesn't really change much for Juventus any more. Not because he is not great, but because they do not even utilize him enough.
3469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: February 19, 2022, 08:13:02 PM
Manchester United, Arsenal, West Ham, Wolves and Tottenham are the five teams battling for fourth place in the points table. I want to keep forward to West Ham, Manchester United and Arsenal. Because the Wolves' attack is weak and the Tottenham team has lost form again.
The point gap between these teams is not too much. The team that now wants to be fourth in the table must be consistent. As the competition is fierce, even if a team draws a match and loses 2 points, they will not be able to finish fourth in the table. Arsenal are now playing consistently, their chances of winning against Brentford are high.
That champions league ticket will be one of the most expensive ones as well. It required teams to make some decisions, and based on those decisions some transfers as well. I feel like we are going to see one of them at the fourth spot and then the rest of them will have some changes for sure, anyone of those four that did not became fourth will end up getting either the manager fired, or a big amount of changes in the roster as well.

This is EPL and if you are close enough then there must be a problem that made you lose out on that position and that's how people think at all times. Being 11th is ok, but being 5th means you could have been 4th and something was wrong.
3470  Economy / Economics / Re: Ukraine legalize bitcoin on: February 19, 2022, 07:16:46 PM
From what I understand from the previous posts, Bitcoin was already de facto legal in Ukraine. Now the parliament has made it de jure legal. I don't think that this really makes any difference on ground. If I am not wrong, Russia also recently adopted the same approach. We can argue that compared to nations such China (which have imposed a blanket ban on cryptocurrency), the approach from Ukraine is more conciliatory. And a few weeks ago India also adopted a similar approach after much debate.
That is sort of true. I mean it was definitely de facto legal, but in a world of governmental laws de facto legal means nothing for most big business', you can't just say "well let's start an exchange here and spend 10+ million dollars on it because it is de facto legal" and that would mean that you would spend money on a thing that is not illegal, but not really legal neither.

This is why it was de facto legal as in it wasn't a big deal for the regular citizen, but go ahead and try to make a business that earns a million dollars a month from crypto profits, that would have been hard to explain. So I could say it was "de facto legal to small investors" and wasn't great for big whales. Now it is great for everyone and that is the difference from what was and what is right now.
3471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: February 18, 2022, 09:05:02 PM
Sixers versus Nets finals, Suns vs Warriors finals, and then whoever out of the two of those four teams end up winning they go to NBA finals and face each other. That would be the ideal scenario for me. Suns vs Warriors because they are the two best teams from the west, but from the east I rather see nets vs Sixers (which is unlikely by the looks of it) because I think it would be a lot more fun to watch all the drama.

I know it is not going to be the best, I know people are expecting something like Bulls vs Heat because those are at the top but there is no drama there, it would be boring game that doesn't have any narrative to talk about in that case at all.
3472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: February 18, 2022, 04:45:01 PM
~snip

Indeed. But frankly speaking I didn't expect Lille to continue this season as they finished last season. I did however think the same of Inter Milan in the Serie A, but the situation in that league is more balanced than in Ligue 1. Beating PSG two years in a row over a whole season is quite the stretch. It would also have been seriously embarrassing for PSG. Now Lille is doing really bad although they still could make it to rank 3 if they really improve their game. But in the end who really cares given that PSG is 13 points ahead of the 2nd already...
Nobody expected them to be that great, they could have been something lower but at the same time I was expecting them to be at least good. There is a huge difference between "not going to win the league" to "they are going to be 10th in the league". I would have expected them to be second with a big point difference, like PSG is 13 points head of Marseille, and put Lille there instead of Marseille and you would have what I expected, or even be third or fourth and that would still be fine.

However, they ended up with basically 10th place for now and that is showing us that they are not good at all. Winning the league is a big stretch but being better than 10th would have been what is expected from them.
3473  Economy / Economics / Re: Canada to freeze Freedom Convoy Protestors bank accounts... on: February 18, 2022, 10:25:16 AM
I don't think that it's going to stop th supporters though because I am pretty sure that they're going to find ways, remember that P2P is still an option in this situation and it's going to be difficult for the government of Canada to stop that, they'll going to eventually yield to this protesters because we know and they know who's right in this situation.
It is not about stopping supporters; it is about sending a message. Canada is basically saying they could do whatever they want, even go as further as blocking the right to get the money, there could be methods to get over this of course but that doesn't change a thing. Don't get me wrong, after seeing millions upon millions of people die from covid and a horrible few years period, I would prefer if these truckers get a vaccination, that would be better and I hardly disagree with them on their stance.

However, even if I disagree with them, I would not take their freedom away when it is about finances, their "freedom" to not get vaccinated could get people killed, but their freedom to get money wouldn't, it would hurt nobody at all.
3474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: February 17, 2022, 07:46:53 PM
Lille has been horrible this year after such a great year last season. They are playing Metz and I am guessing that they will have a win here. They need to recover a bit and this is definitely not enough obviously but the reality is that even in a situation where it is not enough with just one win they could jump as high as 5th place, 2 points difference between them and the fifth place.

Obviously some other teams between them will win and they won't be at fifth spot, but they will certainly jump up a few spots considering at least a few of them will have a loss or a draw. Metz is also bottom level team so it shouldn't really be a big problem for them.
3475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Advice on trends on: February 17, 2022, 07:20:22 PM
I think when we invest of course this is different from trading because their duration is longer than trades and I don't think there is a need to check every day when we talk about Investments because indeed we have targeted how long we will invest and checking every day this will only make our hearts happy you get shaky.
It's a different story if we trade because we do it for the short term so it's very natural to check every day so that we don't lose momentum
You can still check the prices if you are in long term holding mode. I do not think that I would see myself selling in the next decade, probably going to be in 203x years before I want to sell, obviously if something horrible happens and I need to cash out then I will cash out but until that moment I will probably keep it this way. In that situation, I am still checking every day, why? Because I like crypto, I like to be in the know and I want to know what happens when prices crash or when prices soar.

It didn't really make me super happy when it reached 68k+ levels, it didn't scare me when it went to under 35k levels neither, I just felt nothing at all. I mean sure a bit happy and a bit sad, but no more than like 2 seconds. So at the end of the day, it is not to make decisions, it is just to make sure that I am aware of what is going on in the market.
3476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When to know Bitcoin has reset? on: February 17, 2022, 06:54:19 PM
From a technical standpoint, it could be tied to a serious security hole that compromises bitcoin's integrity, causing users to lose faith in bitcoin as a secure alternative payment mechanism. Or perhaps it has something to do with more improved science/mathematics, rendering cryptography skewed which I think is very unlikely because many of bitcoin developer are constantly improving it.

It could also be a huge global war that has a detrimental impact on the economy and so much more. The point is that it's still a multibillion-dollar question that none of us can answer, especially now that bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general are so vast that they have significant applications in today's world. Not only that, many institutions have adopted bitcoin to the point where they are now purchasing it in large quantities.
Considering that we are in a blockchain world and we could always trust the blockchain that we are using or another blockchain to continue, the person who hacks into blockchain due to some flaw could continue down with that blockchain that everyone will ignore and we would move to another one.

You think it is impossible? Look at simply just bitcoin, we have legacy, we have segwit, we have bech32 type thing now, we have lightning network and these are all in bitcoin. Do not even get me started on altcoins, they have so much more. Obviously there will be small caps that get some hackers attention and eventually will not even be defender, but that is for small cap alts, not for bitcoin.
3477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why people keep "investing" money in shit/memecoins? Genuine question. on: February 17, 2022, 09:29:49 AM
shitcoin promises a higher ROI than bitcoin and that is what traps many people into being tempted to buy it Cheesy. I have some friends who keep telling me that meme coins will make him rich quick but so far he has never experienced that (he always loses), Bitcoin is always the best and most rational asset, unlike shitcoins or meme coins
Most of them promise nothing.

It is the mindsetting of every investor that have been chasing meme coins that they'll have a faster and higher ROI.

Those who got in early in these meme coins, they're the only ones that can make a lot of money from it. But the rest, who just invested newly, they should accept the fact that it's quite hard for them to recover.
Unfortunately there were a few of them that did exactly this and that is why people are chasing after it. Like they see shiba, which is a useless shitcoin end up making people 10000x profits and all, so they want to do the same thing with others now.

There were few other smaller caps that turned people into millionaires instead of billionaires, and that is why people are chasing after finding the next one. We all know there will always be a few that make it and thousands that won't, so people throw money at thousands to hit just a few that will happen.

There may not be another memecoin that succeeds, but people will still throw money at all the new ones. The sad thing is, if you want to start, you could spend like 50k on creating and marketing a new project and probably get a few million dollars if you know what you are doing thanks to this hype.
3478  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction: Low was $34K or will be ~$25K on: February 16, 2022, 06:03:25 PM
there is no guarantee this price drop will be a big profit in the next week as the bear market is not showing any signs of ending. the possibility of bitcoin price reaching a lower point in the next few weeks is still very wide open.
Indeed, there is no guarantee to what extent the bitcoin price will fall but, if we look at the current bitcoin price movement, it is in an uptrend even though the buying and selling pressures are both strong, however, the bitcoin price is still able to stay in the $44k range. Therefore, I think Bitcoin will continue to advance in upward momentum towards its target price of $52k.
There is a "bit" of understanding where it will fall. I mean we all know it won't be 10 bucks right? I know it is a big example and that is not what we are talking about but if we all think that it won't be ten bucks then we all agree that there is a price where it won't fall. To me that is 20-25k range, I do not think that we will see anything under 25k dollars.

It means that you could make predictions based on that. Like when it was close to 30k recently, I calculated that it wouldn't be under 25k, it may have fallen to that but that is it. So, I bought as much as I could again and now I am in a bigger profit already. So it is easily predictable to think how much it will fall or won't fall.
3479  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc and future value on: February 16, 2022, 05:02:53 PM
The amount will be the same but the value will be changing any time , the volatility will tell you this so better to be ready? or forget what you are aiming.

having 1 bitcoin is more than enough investment for long term specially if you are looking for the next generation meaning to be granted to your love ones.

like what I am doing now, investing bitcoin for my children that they will treasure when time comes.
I would argue that if you have 1 bitcoin and you do nothing with them then it could be a bit of wrong as well. Even if you do not do anything big, just putting it on interest could be more than enough. That way you could turn your 1 bitcoin into 2 bitcoin for real, even while the price is going up.

I know that people do not trust everywhere, but you could check binance and see what coins and tokens they are promoting in the calculation and you could see how much you could make from their interest. I personally believe that we should not be really just simply holding if we have a lot of money, I mean sure if it is under 1k then you do not have to worry too much but if you have 1 bitcoin then you could make so much more with that in 20-30 years before you leave it to your children.
3480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: February 16, 2022, 03:48:08 PM
The loss to PSG is definitely going to bring doubts on moral to the Madrid team, and maybe if care is not taken, they may loose their next league game.
Consistency is all they need now in the league, and every game they play needs to be taken seriously bacause there is no hope in the champions league tittle.

I believe the league tittle is there own this season if they remain consistent.
If they lost in a regular fashion then I would totally understand. However, it was a dominating performance by PSG, they managed to win with a single goal on overtime which looks like Real played great but if you look at the possessions you will see that PSG actually had so many goal chances, I am not even talking about the missed penalty which happens time to time but all the other chances as well, they had so many chances but failed.

Real got lucky on this game, it could have easily been 3-0 type of game if PSG managed to score some of those chances. Real should have kept their wide spread system, if they did that then they would have at least tire PSG out by the end, but instead Ancelotti changed the system and tried something new in such an important game and of course it failed. It failed better than expected at least, could have been even worse.
