And I'm just wondering why bayrom is allow this witsie to continue to write on the site's official thread again?
I know it is not a self moderated thread but still.
It is polluting the efforts you are trying to achieve in appealing to potential customers to the site.
The user should be shamed to do this.

It would be better if baryom himself write about it in the thread. As I can see witsie is a newbie and baryom haven't even announced witsie as a member of his team. He can take a wrong turn if he is trying to impersonate as member of bitsler team. Anyone could be scammed.

So Baryom can you clear if witsie is a member of your team. Otherwise just give him a negative feedback for trying to impersonate as one of you.

Witsie is an ordinary member that got banned from bitsler because he posted a phishing link and did other bad stuffs in the chat room. He intends to spam this thread in the hope his accounts will be unbanned by admin. I reported him to moderator when he kept posting the phishing link here and I hope more people will do the same thing.

i did that too, yesterday morning (24 hours ago) and it seems like he was banned a couple of hours later. if you look at his account his signature was removed (sign of being banned). i wished they also removed the link too, but they still are there!
3482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is diversity in bitcoin client implementations a good or a bad thing? on: May 03, 2017, 07:01:08 AM
correct me if i am wrong but i believe using the world "bitcoin client implementations" is not what you really mean. "client" implies different nodes/wallets or any other project name but working on the same consensus. these implementations you named (e.g., Core, Classic, BTCd, Bcoin, Unlimited, XT) are not implementing bitcoin they are changing bitcoin.

so my answer is:
implementing the same consensus but with different names hence creating different clients is a good thing. being open source it helps people who don't understand one programming language (e.g. c++ that core uses) use another that they understand or feel more conformable with.

as for implementation of different consensus and "changing bitcoin" that is what classic, unlimited,... are doing. it is still a good thing but as long as there aren't more things in the background. shady things that can destroy bitcoin or cause irreparable damage, and in the end as long as they do a proper fork with an overwhelming majority meaning more than 90% support from miners, users, nodes, services,... that can be a good thing to move forward.
3483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why LTC Mooning on the exchanger? on: May 03, 2017, 06:46:03 AM
Litecoin has been headed for the moon for a while now and it has not yet stopped, the little dip that you saw in the past days is because bitcoin price went to the moon and is headed for $1500 and that always causes some dips in altcoins like Litecoin and everyone is looking for opportunities to buy cheap coins so they start dumping!

at this point anything below 0.03BTC is super cheap and based on what will happen in the next couple of months about SegWit and the lightning network we may even see 0.3BTC and more. the possibilities for price is not limited when LN starts.
3484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a good idea to start a new Indian Altcoin? on: May 03, 2017, 06:37:41 AM
nothing is stopping you or anyone else from starting a new altcoin based on anything, and it may very well be successful even.

but in my opinion the main aspect of a cryptocurrencies is the decentralization and being global and when you add a centralization like this (being based on India) then it is restricting the coin and its adoption. a cryptocurrency should be global without anything restricting even if it is only its name to one place or group of people.

besides country coins like this are usually made by the government, and i don't need to explain why that is bad Smiley
3485  Economy / Speculation / Re: $2000 anyone? on: May 03, 2017, 06:28:41 AM
I think it will be $2000 in 6 months or less..

From this point in time, i would say that your prediction is not just possible, but very probable.

Why? If you look at the charts on coinmarketcap.com you will see that the price has consistently increased over the past few months. Not just one big price hike and then a dump like 2013. There is a major difference between this year's pump which is way more sustainable, compared to the 2013 pump which happened basically overnight and the dump happened overnight as well.

But still, it is important that you don't take on a lot of risk. Maybe keep a portion of your savings in USD and the other portion in BTC.

$2000 has always been possible or probable or whatever Smiley
it is only a matter of time, and this year seems to be a good time for testing that price territory and actually breaking the $2000 resistance. but the problem has always been all these stops and prevention for rise. like ETF rejection then FUD about split and continuous manipulative dump and all the rest of the propaganda against bitcoin.
3486  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin To Soon Reach $1700 on: May 03, 2017, 06:15:24 AM
Bitcoin has officially breached the $1500 level in some exchanges and there seems to be no end yet on sight for the rise of its value.
there never was an end to bitcoin price rise! these prices we keep quoting and be happy about are ridiculously low for bitcoin. it should be worth $10,000 at least.

Quote
Some are predicting that it can hit the $1700 level many days from now but correction at that level can set in and there would some adjustments in value.

I am wondering what are the contributing factors for this continuing rally?  Please share your ideas for the enlightenment and guidance of some readers (including me).
if this rise is indeed because of ETF then it will continue rising up until the day SEC makes the decision (if anyone knows when it is please tell me). and if they approve it, then price will rocket to the moon, even possible to break $2000 but another rejection means another big correction back to possibly $1200 level.
3487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What makes the bitcoin price stronger in the market? on: May 02, 2017, 06:16:38 AM
if you want the short term reason for the rise i think it is mostly because of the news about ETF and SEC reconsidering it which is weird if you ask me since again ETF is not really a thing to want for bitcoin anyways but it seems to be effective.

but the long term reason for the overall rise of 150% to 200% rise annually is because bitcoin is still something that a lot of people want and want to invest in. it is the only cryptocurrency that you can trust in its future and be sure it is decentralized. also it is the only crypto-currency which you can use to buy stuff from anywhere that accepts it and that is growing every day with more adoption.
also lets not forget about Japan and Russia regulating bitcoin which was huge news.

Why would the reconsideration of the ETF by the SEC motivate a increase in the investment of Bitcoin, if nothing have changed since the first application was done? The Twins are just grabbing a last life line as part of a procedural appeal process, and I doubt if we will have a different outcome with the next decision.

I would much rather guess that the increase is linked to the higher adoption in Japan lately. ^smile^

beats me Smiley
and i am saying the same thing. SEC is going to reject their ass one more time most probably and nothing has changed and not much will change even if they accept it.
and yeah Japan and Russia adoption is a big thing that is affecting the price but it is not enough to push the price from $1200 to $1420 in short term. in my opinion this type of news is more like a slow adoption kind of thing that increases the overall price rise speed. but something like ETF is mostly hyped up and FOMO buying and can cause a $200-$300 rise in a week or so!
3488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC breaks $1400 barrier, altcoins going on the red on: May 02, 2017, 06:06:57 AM
Im looking at poloniex right now and all altcoins are going red. Meanwhile BTC keeps going up. Is this the end of the ongoing altcoin bubble? How high can BTC get? Will this all stop once SEC rejects the ETF approval or this pump goes beyond that?
it is very possible that SEC rejects ETF another time and price of bitcoin drops again!
but that doesn't necessarily mean anything can change with altcoins. one thing is a bit more sure, and that is the fact that ETH will drop harder, because they have been pumping for the past month and the bubble just gets bigger and with BTC ETF they started spreading some lies about ETH ETF and hyped the price up again, increasing the size of the bubble. at the very least i can say the price looks scary at this point and with each pump it gets even scarier because things become more unstable.

Quote
Anyway, might be a good idea to have some on Poloniex, if LTC goes below 0.01 I will get a good position there again, im not risking to buy above that. BTC may go parabolic to hit something ridiculously high and alts may drop to the floor.
oh man litecoin has been on a weird path once again, i am looking at the 2 hour charts of polo and the big dump looks ridiculous and then that big just after it is even more ridiculous!
i hope you bought at 0.0098BTC 12 hours ago

3490  Economy / Speculation / Re: sub 1000 gone forever on: May 02, 2017, 05:43:41 AM
It could be assuming Bitcoin will live forever.

I have a hypothetical situation for you. What if Bitfinex came out to be like MtGox or Cryptsy with the owner running away with all their customer's Bitcoins, would the price crash take it to $500?

i don't know why you are super insistent on bitfinex being gox these days, i think your last 200 or so comments were about Bitfinex and them turning into Gox! maybe you want a dip to buy back?

in any case worse case scenario is that SEC will reject ETF once again, price tanks like before.
then right as it is finding new floor (possible around $1200) bitfinex becomes insolvent and stops working, nobody has any money or coin there anymore since they all cashed out but the news starts hitting the market hard and price tanks again possible to $1000.
then as a final blow BU starts FUDing again and price tanks again like before this time down to $920 and momentarily testing the $8xx waters.

with this 3 major FUD coming after each other in a very hypothetical and impossible worse case scenario would be $890. Wink

and as i said before in answer to you and you forgot i repeat once again that MtGox had >75% of market volume and bitfinex has 9% in normal circumstances.

just came here to open a new topic just to see this one already exists Tongue
I am getting the same error, although it is not always happening so i though it may be some problem with "imgur.com" servers but on the other hand it seems persistent so maybe some trouble between forum IP communicating with those servers?!

also changed my photo link to postimg.org i got the error one more time but refreshing solved the problem.
3493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC dominance decreasing. on: May 01, 2017, 06:59:17 AM
please don't use any other words in place of "marketcap" and bitcoin's marketcap share is decreasing not its market dominance, market share, or any other words other people use these days.

bitcoin is still the dominant cryptocurrency:
market/price related:
- it has the highest price
- the highest volume
- the most number of exchanges
- the most number of traders
usage as a currency:
- it still has the most usage as a currency
- the most number of merchants and services accepting it as a payment and that is also growing
- the most number of users using it as a real currency to pay for stuff
others:
- the most number of nodes
- the highest security of network
- the most number of developers
- ... (i'll add more if my memory helped)

here is BitPay showing the growth in the number of transactions they process as a payment processor for many businesses:

it is 250,000 transactions as of 2016 of an amount about 200 million dollar monthly. and that is just a third party processing only a limited number of merchants that are using their service for bitcoin payments. this is not factoring in all the others receiving bitcoin directly.

and if that's not called dominance, i don't know what is!

meanwhile all the altcoins with their huge supply of coin which is causing their marketcap to grow falsely are the same as before: they are only being used by traders to make more money from their pump and dump and 90% of the time not a single coin leaves the exchange wallet.
and there is not a single change in their usage as a currency, altcoins are just carrying the word "currency" in their name.
3494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why does every new tech require an ICO? Is it just the funding? on: May 01, 2017, 06:50:17 AM
ethereum is an upward movement (a price pump if you will) and because it is backed by gigantic whales it is making a lot of noise these days. and it always takes time for people to catch on what is happening behind the scene. now when something like this is going one, everybody wants in. in most altcoin cases it is about forking the altcoin and making a similar coin and hyping it up to make profit, but in case of eth since it is offering a way to connect your shitcoin to their platform it is making things easier for "altcoin makers" to have an easier way of doing what they always do: make a new altcoin and P&D for profit!

also all these ICOs are bought with (surprise surprise) ethereum and that is creating a fake demand for ETH which is also causing the price of it go up in a fake manner. so it is a win win situation for both sides. and the main purpose of ICO is what i said "to make money from your shitty project"
3495  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we makeing up time for the lost years between 2013 and now or pump & D on: May 01, 2017, 06:43:19 AM
I kinda feel on a weekly time frame, we are pumping a bit hard,
yeah when you look at short term it certainly looks like a rapid rise which you may even call a mini pump. but when you look at the longer period and also know about the history of what happened you can see this is nothing more than coming back to normal price.
and by history i mean recent history. when price was already at $1250+ and we were rising towards $1300 and the FUD about BU split started and then the panic selling came. that slowed things down. so considering $1250 was THE price, then after a couple of months we are at $1360 and that is no such a big rise in my opinion.

Are we catching up for the lost years, eg due for a 5 ~10K pump then fall back to 3K or something?
if we are to see such a big rise then we need a much faster rise than this!
3496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If BTC gets a Dump on: May 01, 2017, 06:35:50 AM
What will happen to all the altcoin if Bitcoin experiences a big dump? For example lets say BTC price goes under $500 or even $200, how it will affect the prices of altcoin? Will one or two top crypto currencies at marketcap like Ethereum, Litecoin or Dash will take over and become the number one crypto currency and have higher value than bitcoin? Or do all the altcoin also fall with bitcoin?

price of anything is simply based on supply and demand. however in short term this can change and price can go up and down due to temporary effects.

bitcoin has that demand and it is rising, so there is no reason for it to go down drastically like what you suggest and certainly any drop would be much smaller and for a short period of time. and demand for bitcoin is different types of demand since it is both an investment and a currency.

now this supply and demand rule exists for altcoins too. but the demand for altcoins is only one kind of demand and that is traders buying them to make profit short term from the pumps. this means these altcoins can not survive in long term as the history has proved many times with many altcoins.
although i should add that there are altcoins with real usages, such as Monero and Litecoin but that has always been small and that is the reason for these coins to live this long.
the fact of the matter is, many of these altcoins (like etehrum) are not even suitable to be used as a currency and have numerous problems that will only be intensified if they become more used.

Hi guys. Please tell me why I have not synchronized my wallet for 10 days? Only I have such a problem? I have my coins there and I can not send them anywhere without synchronization.

try asking it in their official forum at https://www.reddcointalk.org/ you may find better help there.
also if you don't want to sync and spend any time or your network cap, then download RDD-Electrum wallet (which is an SPV version of it just like Electrum for bitcoin) and import your private keys there and spend.
Electrum is light and doesn't need much syncing since it only downloads block_headers (it is a small file).

3498  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Any decent traders here? on: April 30, 2017, 06:55:52 AM
Are there any altcoin traders who actually make money on the long run?
What are your strategies, e.g. how do you know an altcoin is worth investing in?
yes there are many.
i have been making profit from early days. small amounts but still counts as profit.
you just have to start small and try to make better decisions each time you make a trade. and don't be afraid of losing money, instead lose small and learn why you lost that and try not to lose next time.
the only strategy in altcoin market is to learn about things that can cause a rise and that can only be learned from spending time around.

3499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [LTC] Litecoin Speculation on: April 30, 2017, 06:23:16 AM
I don't believe in the coin and don't see what all the hype is about.

Just stick to investments that you truly believe in and you will succeed.

In fact people investing in LTC are people believing BTC will crash

So yeah obviously it's a bad idea to invest in LTC xD
Especially when you see the amount exchanged! They're ridiculously low!!!

you are very mistaken my friend because there is no news nor any hype about LTC wanting to replace bitcoin. you are comparing LTC with shitcoins such as ethereum and dash that have always thrived on bashing bitcoin and claiming to be a replacement for it. and we all know none of these even come close to bitcoin.

and yeah the amount exchanged are ridiculously low. it was 702,000BTC=912,600,000 USD in the past month. so yeah it 912 million dollar traded only in poloniex and only in BTC/LTC market alone is ridiculously low.
3500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoin is the most undervalued right now? (list) on: April 30, 2017, 06:07:34 AM
it is good to see you have smaller coins also in your list instead of sticking to the old big coins that everyone already knows about!
and about the order of these and being undervalued i have to say, it is hard to come up with an order because some of these may surprise you out of nowhere and make a big move, and them being smaller means their upward move can be huge.

i would add the following to my list if i were you, but do some research on when to get in:
LTC, LSK, PIVX, ARK, FTC
