2501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goodbye Bitcoin... 253044 Unconfirmed trx and almost 10 days on: December 23, 2017, 07:39:47 AM
i don't think it will take a long time, it will be only a short time before the mempool is emptier again. because most people like you will either stop using bitcoin, sell and get out, move to cold storage and don't touch their bitcoin or move them to exchanges like coinbase and keep it there. and that means less transactions on chain and smaller mempool and lower fees again.

but it really sucks these days to use bitcoin. we need a solution and we need it ASAP.
Agree, December is very close to Christmas and new year I expect people to do many transactions to cash out their profit. So the highly unconfirmed transaction will normalize back in a few days. But That thing shows the fact Bitcoin is unsustainable, you know its really ridiculous with the current transaction fees and confirmation time.

it is not just December and Christmas, the current situation with the mempool is mainly because of the fact that price went up too fast so there has been a lot of FOMO buyers who have been making lots of withdrawals from exchanges which increased the count to 100k+ and then after a while price started falling and it continued to fall hard, which meant the same newbies started to panic and sell their coins which is practically lots of transactions being injected in the mempool which increase the count to 250k+
there is also always spam attacks in the mix which is at least 70,000 of them.

with all this drama ending and price finding its place, number of transactions will also decrease.
2502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what is the biggest risk that bitcoin is facing at present? on: December 23, 2017, 07:30:30 AM
there are a lot of risks that bitcoin is facing.
the most important one is losing the decentralization that it has because it is one of the main attributes of bitcoin and it needs to keep it in order to stay strong.
the other important one which is often forgotten these days and sometimes even by some bitcoin developers! is that bitcoin should be able to work as a currency and be able to compete with them at the same time. this requires reasonable fees and that requires scaling. sadly some people are only considering bitcoin as a "store of value" and unknowingly want to kill bitcoin by doing that.

2504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoCurrency market is crashing on: December 22, 2017, 02:01:03 PM
Is it good or bad, who knows.
well, it is good for bitcoin because it puts an end to all the FUD which has been calling bitcoin a bubble finally and for good after the panic dump ended and price started to rise eventually.

but it is bad for altcoins because yet again it proves that they are not stand alone and they get  dumped hard each time bitcoin has some kind of drop!

Quote
So it can be a good time to get in or maybe its time from when bitcoin starts to fall.

it is time to stay away and wait for the dump to end and as soon as it was ended, you jump in and buy up anything that looks good and has the potential of reversal and big rise.
2505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ENDING on: December 22, 2017, 01:53:49 PM
what could happen to BTC, does BTC will fall.?

new useless altcoins have been created for many years and they never have any effects on bitcoin. in fact as more forks like these are created, their effects on bitcoin becomes less and less because people will get used to it by then.

How forks will effect in bitcoin?
can give us more news about what fork will show this year

there are countless number of forks this year! if you are a trader you already have many of them in your account which you can dump and enjoy the free money. or trade them while they are pumped.
2506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: STOP SEND BTC TRANSACTION [URGENT) STOP JUST STOP on: December 22, 2017, 01:46:58 PM
you can not force people to stop using bitcoin, they are going to continue doing so. and the fees seems to not bother anyone since they are still sending lots of transactions with high fees. and it proves most people are only investors in bitcoin who are in a huge profit that a big fee doesn't even put a dent in the amount of profit they have made so they are easily moving coins around and possibly selling and buying more at the bottom while the Christmas discount lasts.

2507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Yobit is a scam exchange on: December 22, 2017, 01:38:35 PM
it is a well known fact that Yobit never runs majority of the wallets. the have always been like this and will be the same. you can not run an exchange with thousands of shitcoins listed and run every single wallet for every single one of them and also nobody wants them, people are just buying and dumping them on exchange never taking them out.

they have also always been the most shady exchange in existence, you should always avoid them as much as possible unless you have no other choice.
2508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ReddCoin the new Ethereum? on: December 21, 2017, 06:44:52 AM
yes it is in the sense that it is currently getting pumped big time exactly the same way ethereum was getting pumped and was profitable to invest in it at some point in the past during its ridiculously big pump.

but this won't last long, like last time RDD was pumped, this will also be temporary before it is dropped down again. so make sure you don't get caught under the dumping weight of the whales when they start selling.
2509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Without Ethereum Network, will all tokens be useless ? on: December 20, 2017, 08:08:15 AM
they are already useless.
there are hundreds of them and none of them are doing anything in real world. they are all virtual promises that were made during the ICO phase to raise more money and then do none of the promises at all.

and if ETH disappears nothing will change either. people will lose money and new ICOs will simply move to the next best platform such as Waves.
2510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens next with Atlcoin? on: December 20, 2017, 08:05:32 AM
this is true and i have probably said it a thousand times myself but there is no singular formula for all the movements ever. which means this is only true in most of the times, like 90% of the times this will happen. but in the rest 10% of times you will be surprised how things will defy this speculation.

the thing that i found out is that the remaining 10% are usually altcoins that are either too small to be affected by anything and they move on their own accord. or that altcoin which is defying this rule had something else going on. for example you can see bitcoin cash is getting pumped right now while other altcoins like LTC, ETH, XRP are dropping. and BCH has the pump going on, with Coinbase giving the coins away soon and the hype in social media.
2511  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin under attack. on: December 20, 2017, 07:20:54 AM
bitcoin is always under attack in the social media and other ways. that doesn't mean any drop that happens is because of these attacks.

in this case this current drop is because of a couple of things in my opinion
- the rise which was big and needed a correction. just like any other drop (correction) before it.
- the large number of newbies who have invested in bitcoin and are panicking each time they read something online and decide to dump
- the huge backlog that bitcoin has and it doesn't seem to be going down and has caused a huge fee
- the bitcoin cash pump and the social media campaign they have started by encouraging everyone to sell their bitcoin while they are buying it themselves.
2512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC VS. BCH quick help please on: December 20, 2017, 06:58:19 AM
Hi all, quick question, should I exchange all my BTC to BCH? YES OR NO? thanks for the help!!

it is your money, you should do with it whatever you choose to! we can't really tell you what to do with it.

but the real question is why did you choose BCH? other altcoins are also getting pumped the same way. for example bitcoin gold is also getting pumped today. it is already up nearly 60%
there are lots of others which are also getting pumped, such as ARK and Augur. each of them will also go up more than 100%!
2513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the huge drop in value - 15% as they say ? on: December 20, 2017, 06:52:07 AM
they are pumping bitcoin cash again and each time that happens they also dump bitcoin and nobody is complaining about it because you can short bitcoin while buy bitcoin cash and make a huge double profit in both markets while you know it will end soon and you go back to normal.

right now you can sell on top and buy back at the bottom and enjoy the bitcoin cash pump while it lasts. then buy back bitcoin at the bottom before the trend reversal happens.
it is a good market correction anyways. it make the market healthier in the end.
2514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2018 will be a true ALT pump! True or False? on: December 19, 2017, 07:24:34 AM
i can see how it can be true. the bitcoin growth has really been huge and that has introduced the whole concept and with it this rather big side-market to all the newcomers to bitcoin. most of them will seek out alternative coins and will start investing in them.
and with more newbies in the market and most of them desperate for making profit fast and getting rich over night, the pumpers will take advantage and the pumps can technically become so much bigger than previous years.

but i am afraid at the same time a big pump means a big dump too. you can see what happened to the altcoins when they got pumped big time this year. so many newbies lost a lot of money to this manipulating technique.
2515  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Convert your BTC to LTC/ETH ASAP on: December 19, 2017, 07:07:52 AM
it is one thing to have a different opinion and support an altcoin, but it is another thing to not understand a single thing about bitcoin and altcoins and then try to convince others with wrong statements!

Bitcoin is doomed. It runs off an outdated rudimentary system which requires way too much electricity. It's only a matter of time before it tanks due to a major technical issue. Switch to LITECOIN which is like bitcoin but better with all necessary improvements.
there is absolutely no improvement in LTC compared to bitcoin. they are EXACTLY the same, specially when you talk about electricity usage (although it has nothing to do with price and their future!!!). the things they changed in LTC didn't really improve it. it just made it different.

I realized how shitty bitcoin was last week when my 5k transaction took almost a day and a half to confirm (I still have no idea why).
yet another proof that you do not understand a thing about either one of these cryptocurrencies you so passionately are bag holding.

Quote
I also just doubled my money in the last 24 hrs.
you are just overly excited because (possibly for the first time) you participated in a pump in its early stages. but if you hang around a little while you can see "double your money in 24 hours" is something that happens every day.
example QTM went up more than twice in the past 24 hours.
2 days ago it was something else and before that another altcoin and so on...
2516  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Pump and Dump. How to make a profit? on: December 19, 2017, 06:59:35 AM
Actually there are any pump dump group but this is risky trading because pump dump is to fast. So for the better avoid this kind of group, will be more profitable and less risk trade with own reasearch and own analysis.

yes, it is too risky but if we can take the opportunity and prepare for the pump and dump then maybe we can make a profit too. it is difficult to avoid the pump and dump group because they can easily pump and dump the coin without delay and I think what we need is to be prepared and place our order sell so we can sell our coin at the high price. but personally, I prefer to research by myself without depending on the pump and dump groups and I can learn how to check and analyze the coins.

using a pump and dump group to tell you what to do is the last thing you need to think about doing, they are not there to help you make money. instead they are there to get your help to make money themselves.
it is always best if you can find the pumps yourself. and it may be impossible at first but you can get the hang of it in time. you just have to act quick, even better if you use some bots and automation to do the trades and set stop losses and watchers to keep looking for any possible dumps or short drops to buy in.
2517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash vs Bitcoin Gold on: December 19, 2017, 06:40:34 AM
Cash is mined by ASICs and gold is ASIC-resistant and was created to be mined by videocards (to be sure people have what to mine if ethereum moves to POS finally).

If Eth goes to POS EVER than Zcash will be king and other algorthims before Bitcoin gold.

That's possible. But anyway bitcoin gold was created to try to compete in this mining market.

And bitcoin cash was created to try to solve bitcoin's problems and compete with the one Smiley

actually bitcoin gold was created so that their developer can make more money quick and out of nowhere. they are the least competent developers of all times. everything is always behind schedule and other third parties did half the important things such as implementing replay protection!
that is why they premined BTG this much.

and bitcoin cash was created mainly to take over the "power" and control over bitcoin development. it was not really to solve anything and increasing the block size did not solve anything either. it just gives the illusion of no problem for a short time because nobody is still using BCH. the blocks are completely empty.
2518  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Jumps High This year on: December 19, 2017, 06:32:47 AM
you can always invest in bitcoin and be sure that your investment will give you profit in the long run.

BUT right now as you can see bitcoin has grown too much in only one year. most of it is perfectly understandable because we have had logical reasons for the rises so far. such as end of a 3 year long scaling debate, adoption of bitcoin on a massive scale by a couple of countries like Japan, and finally the last big news was the mainstream adoption of bitcoin in US.

but it is still riskier than normal to invest right now. so my advice is that if you chose to invest, do it with more care and keep your eyes on the price. you can also wait for a considerable drop like 30% before you start investing.
2519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BUY BITCOIN CASH NOW on: December 18, 2017, 07:50:09 AM
I HAVE GOT INSIDE INFORMATION
since you put it in all caps, i believe you Wink

Quote
This means it will shoot up in price so buy before it gets added
actually this means BCH price can fall hard even if it means temporary. because history proves than at times like this, when an exchange gives their users "free coins" of an airdrop or something similar, the first thing many of them will do is to sell them to get the "free money" and that can cause a drop.

i am actually expecting a BCH pump but not because of Coinbase thing, i say that will actually cause a big drop which may even be the launching pad for the BCH pump later. and the reason for the pump is the same as before: bitcoin has problems such as high fees!
2520  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will BTC's dominance of crypto market cap drop below 50%? on: December 18, 2017, 07:32:12 AM
When the bubble does burst (and I'm strongly of the opinion that it someday will -- don't ask me when), a bunch of money will flow into altcoins. That's why I'm furthering my proclamation of 2018 as Year of the Altcoin.

if we assume you are correct and there in fact is a bitcoin bubble and also we assume it is going to burst soon-ish then why do you think altcoins are going to rise?

you see, based on my experience and from what i have seen so far, every time bitcoin drops, altcoins also drop. so i guess the real question is "why do you think this will be different than other previous ones?"
