3481  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the best autmobile to buy at the moment? on: April 24, 2021, 11:53:15 AM
Hi there everyone, Im planning to buy a new car, my budget is 50k$ and I need It for personal use. Im was thinking about some coupe, convertable or some nice SUV. Any suggestions? Thank you!
 Grin Grin Grin

There is a lot of differences between a coupe and an SUV. How big is your family? How many people will you on average have in the car? I would pick the size so that everybody is comfortable. And instead of buying a completely new car I would choose one which is 6-12 months old, they are like new but a bit cheaper.

Online shopping is the best, online shopping saves you the stress, saves more of your time, also reduce the rate of robbery in the world, the only part of online shopping I didn't like  sometimes what you order is not what you got,and that has discourage alot of people from online shopping.

I don't like online shopping. It's the only form of shopping possible in my country for 6 months and I hate it. I miss going to the store and just look around. Shopping clothes online is terrible, everything looks awesome on pictures but when you get it at home and try it on its not that great anymore.

3484  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who’s more powerful? The players, Fans or Clubs on: April 24, 2021, 11:17:07 AM
Each of them plays a different role so it is not easy to say who is the most powerful.

The Players decide the outcome of the game depending on the skill they have. I'm not sure how players give profit to clubs but I think it's from sponsorships and their performance in tournaments.

The Clubs provide the salaries to the players. Without them, they can't just build a strong team they want without agreeing with the player that they want to recruit.

The Fans are the ones who make the players and the team popular. If they have more fans then they have higher engagement in different social media platforms attracting more sports enthusiast to become a fan.

I don't think that the Players have any power at all. If you don't perform as a player you will just be kicked off the team. It is your job to perform and they are paid millions each year. So if the trainers or fans notice that the player is not giving 100% each game, there will be a public outcry. There might be a few super stars who are able to fight back against the trainers and fans but overall the average player is just an employee. There is a lot of trading of players happening, so the pressure is definitely from the Fans and Trainers on the Players. And there is also tons of video analysis being down - so the trainers know exactly who is not giving 100%.
3485  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do in 2030? on: April 24, 2021, 10:58:56 AM
I would not like to work. I try to save some money at least $ 5000 a year and invest it now. But price of shares is too big. All markets are very high.
In 2030 I will work, but I will not depend on salary.

I hope it will be time without THIS FU***G QUARANTINE. And I can travel around the world paying only in bitcoins.

I understand you, hoping for the same. Saving each year is a good idea.

If there still will be corona around in 2030 we all will be doomed. The economy is hurting so much through corona, if this continues for another 8 years it willl be horrible.
3486  Economy / Economics / Re: Markets taking profit on: April 24, 2021, 09:53:01 AM
A few people may be wondering about the step drop of bitcoin price these last days. It is quite usual for it to move up and down, although lately it seems that movements are faster than usual.

Just take a wider look to understand:

NASDAQ 100, last month + 8%, last year +60%
S&P 500, last month +6.4%, last year +47%
Bitcoin, last month -4%, last year +639%

Since the start of the COVID (in practice) to now, most indexed have exceeded their average returns, not to mention bitcoin. A movement such as this is a consequence and it may still be followed by more falls without meaning anything other than a profit taking and some caution around the ATHs.

It is good to put the returns into perspective across different asset classes. I think we all know that bitcoins can't rise forever. Markets tend to follow cycles, there will always be an up and down phase. It remains to be seen if we are in a down phase at the moment. Taking profits is fine, but would you really sell your coins for 50,000 Usd when the price was close to 65,000 a week ago? A rally could happen suddenly again, I would keep my coins at the moment.
3487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All of a sudden they want to join crypto. on: April 23, 2021, 11:31:58 AM
People think cryptocurrency is a get-rich scheme and when they get burnt, they start yelling curses like little kids. My new policy is "get knowledge before investing", otherwise I won't move a finger, I equally stop helping people manage their portfolio, anyone who is serious enough will get the knowledge.

I agree, the number of investors in bitcoins is probably highly correlated to the price. The higher the bitcoin price the more investors are interested and would like to own some coins. And vice versa, once prices are falling investors become scared and sell too fast. Also once money is lost it is likely to avoid bitcoins in the future, while if we hear people making a lot of money, we want a part of the cake.
3488  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoins kill Central Banks? on: April 23, 2021, 11:20:50 AM
The answer is simple - no, bitcoin will not kill banks!
Why? Because governments will never allow an uncontrolled entity to replace a government-controlled, formal payment mechanism. The only thing that bitcoin, as a technology, can influence, is to push banks to use part of blockchain technologies in banking technologies.

This is the most plausible answer. At the moment governments hold all the power of the people. We are not ready for a regime change. But one day in the future this could happen. If enough people demand a change that the politicians need to react. While central banks who print money each year worked for many years, it doesn't mean it will be going to stay like this. We just need to work together to change the system.
3489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC price VS gambling on: April 23, 2021, 11:06:32 AM
and they want to chase their loses.

It's not because they just want to chase their loses. Those people who won big before like to experience it again so they will try to play over their limits. Others also don't want to cut their winning streak since why should they stopped if they are lucky.

That's a common situation already in gambling and even those professional ones are having a traits like that. For me, it's ok to play on limits as long as after doing gambling, they are in still on themselves without any changed towards their attitude.

I agree, having limits is important for gambling. We need to control our self's because we can't always be winning and especially during losing streaks is self control very important.

The recent drop in bitcoin price will make it more important to gamble with our coins. I feel more comfortable to gamble with bitcoins when prices are falling then when they are rising. With lower prices its more attractive to gamble because we can grow in value through gambling. Whereas when prices are rising we need to be careful to not lose money.
3490  Other / Politics & Society / Re: JOE BIDEN wants to DOUBLE your TAXES on BITCOIN gains! on: April 23, 2021, 10:42:46 AM
How many people using bitcoin are realizing net capital gains in excess of $1 million a year?

Probably not a lot. And if you had such kind of coins it would be better to spread out across multiple years. Or if it's really such huge amounts of money you could also make an offshore shell company in a tax haven. When getting few millions we can easily afford a fax consultant.
3491  Economy / Economics / Re: FINALLY ALL MONETARY AUTHORITIES IN THE WORLD WILL ADOPT BITCOIN on: April 23, 2021, 10:33:59 AM
The percentage of bitcoin users is growing all the time in all countries. The monetary authority's concern about the presence of bitcoin has turned into an opportunity for trust. For example, currently more than 35 percent of bitcoin circulation in America and in the next 10 years the percentage of funds invested or converted into bitcoin will be very significant.
This phenomenon will be absorbed by the majority of countries in the world to then take strategic steps through the regulation of their monetary authorities in accommodating the existence of bitcoin. This was created because bitcoin was able to guarantee equal trust without intervention so that it was considered fairer and safer.
And in the next 20 years bitcoin will become the single standard means of transaction in the world beyond the role of the US dollar, yuan, yen, euro and others. The creation of a world financial mechanism that is more efficient, easy, safe, equal and reliable.

That is quite interesting, as soon as bitcoin price is dropping a bit the authorities want to invest them self's. To be honest they probably just realised how much money can be made with bitcoins and want to get a piece of their own. Long term there is no way around bitcoins and it all comes down to at which you were able to buy your coins.
3492  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you know about the world famous tiger machili on: April 23, 2021, 10:24:55 AM
Machili is the famous tiger in the world-  The legendary tigress is a fearsome warrior know for daring expliots and as a mother of an incredible four litters of cubs. In her 19 years, machili attacked crocodiles, defened cubs from males, and manage to survive for years with one eye. She lost her cannine teeth and became this old predicament, because of her uniqueness she generated over $10 millions dollars to the park, she was love by many.

To be honest with you it's the first time i hear of her. I like tigers in general but never look at their names. Seen quite a few in Zoos around the world. In which Park waa she? 10 million is a lot of money to be generated by just one animal. She must have been magnificent.
3493  Economy / Economics / Re: "BTC not a currency per se but can be an alternative asset" China on: April 22, 2021, 06:44:48 PM
In an interesting turn of events, China's tone on BTC has "softened". Who was expecting this change in tone? Not me. Not after all the crack downs on exchanges or ICO bans and the works they are doing with their CBDC.

People's Bank of China deputy governor also said they will be looking to craft regulations to prevent speculations of BTC investments. They will most likely convene meetings with traditional companies that are interested.

How do you see this affect BTC and cryptocurrency in general?

Full story: https://www.cnbc.com/2021/04/19/china-calls-bitcoin-an-investment-alternative-marking-shift-in-tone.html

China usually has a strong stand towards currencies. The Yuan is still being controlled and doesn't trade freely. If China is trying to soften their opinion towards Bitcoin that is a good approach in my opinion. They noticed that there is no way around Bitcoins in the long run. Instead of fighting it, it's better to just try and regulate it. If you can't win the fight, then just join it. This might also be the first step towards the digital yuan and how you can buy it with BTCs.
3494  Other / Off-topic / Re: ⚽ The European Super League ( ESL) on: April 22, 2021, 06:23:54 PM
Even though i want the SUPER LEAGUE to be a success  for some reasons, however the negative effects cannot be over look. The proposal would have been better if the money involved is not that huge. And thanks to the SUPER LEAGUE ideal UEFA is able to change champions League from group stage to a real league now.

At least someone who likes the Super League here  Smiley The problem behind it is that they want to make a lot of money with it, while on the other side don't have any competition. Both Real Madrid and Barcelona are the two big teams who promoted the ESL a lot and surprisingly both of these football clubs have a huge debt. Creating a new league with new TV rights to being sold to Sky or some other network they would make a lot of money. I am pretty sure that the games would never be shown on ordinary satellite TV. Gladly the Fans were able to stop it.
3495  Other / Off-topic / Re: ❔ 💰 Anyone else find it hard to get merit?💰 ❔ on: April 22, 2021, 06:06:09 PM
I feel like I have been helpful and sharing insight but I have not yet aquired any merit.
I have read many posts about getting it, I just want to be able to share photos in my post.
anyone else share the same struggle?

I feel you brother, the new merit system is very difficult to rank up in. When I remember the good old days where you would just get a new rank by being active. Now with the new merit system it can take years to rank up. Some times I see people who post very long topics on the forum and only get 2-3 merits. This is quite sad. To be honest I think most of the merits are being given in the language sub forums. So people prefer to give merits to their people from their own countries.
3496  Economy / Economics / Re: First UK Bank Bans Businesses Accepting Bitcoin on: April 22, 2021, 06:00:24 PM
Came across this potentially damaging development for Bitcoin today:

https://capital.com/natwest-bans-business-cryptocurrency-transactions

NatWest, a relatively well known UK bank (out of roughly 20) has decided to ban any businesses from using its accounts for any Bitcoin related transactions. I wonder if this is a sign of things to come, if I remember correctly this bank has been caught up in a money laundering scandal in the recent past and maybe it is getting jittery - even if the general trend is towards opening up cryptocurrency related services. Banks can also be "on the hook" if companies using their facilities have not performed proper checks on their customers transactions and you could say there is a lot of hard to trace funds floating around. Do you think other banks will follow suit? If they do, will we see the Bitcoin price sink in future or can institutional money overcome these obstacles?

This is insane. Why are they doing it? Are they just afraid to lose out in the crypto war? To be honest we as consumers should not tolerate such behaviour from a bank. The bank is their to provide services to customers. Not ban services from them. What if all the crypto investors just switch to another bank? I think we have a lot of power as consumers and the banks should make services more crypto friendly.
3497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is best Altcoin to buy now on: April 22, 2021, 08:26:47 AM
Hello Guys how r you.can you give me some suggestion about which Altcoin is best to buy now ??
Give your opinion. Thanks

There are a lot of good alt coins to be bought right now. My all time favourite is still ETH. The price is quite high but it is such a strong coin that we should see new ATH soon. Another much talked about coin at the moment is DOGE coin. Some people say it is overvalued but it dropped recently 15% so maybe it is a good time to buy some soon. I would definitely keep checking the price for another drop to get involved.
3498  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading vs Investing (The major differences) on: April 22, 2021, 08:16:39 AM

When someone talks about trading I see it as an activity that you do daily (day trading), then when we talk about investment that’s the one I refer to as HODL. HODL is the investment here, because that’s pretty much what you are doing, you are investing when you HODL; when you hold, you put the money in a wallet and then keep it there till there is an increase which is the profit, and it can be for a year or more, and it can as well be less than that, it all depends on how the market moves when you invest that money. This image you have here explains everything properly and that’s just it, the difference between the two things; trading and investment.

I would make the same comparison between trading and investing. But sometimes it is hard to distinguish these two words. For example, you can be an active trader for weeks but when the prices drop you be uncomfortable to trade at the lower prices. So and trader could become and investor overnight. I think that a trader is someone who checks the prices multiple times each day, even if he is not trading his coins.
3499  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The sad truth about the virus covid19 on: April 22, 2021, 08:12:40 AM
I know many of you will find it difficult to believe this, the main reason for the outbreak of covid19 was for the world to have one central government, that was the plan of our world leaders, they didn't succeed because there where fighting where the sit of power will be at, Russia, China, USA, vaccines where made before the outbreak but was held by the world leaders, how many of us will support this one government agenda they are fighting for,I think there is alot of disadvantages in it.

I don't understand, you are saying that the vaccines were made before the covid outbreak? But why wait then 1 year until the vaccines are distributed. The pharma companies are making a lot of money with the vaccine. If they really had the formula to produce vaccines they would have done so much earlier. The most profit will the company make that is the first one to go on the market. There is a lot of competition between each company to sell the most vaccines.
3500  Other / Archival / Re: The difference between the Martingale system and One-Time-Bet on: April 22, 2021, 08:05:06 AM
In fact, many now use the Martingale system instead of doing one stroke of luck, and the strange thing is that it is also liable to lose the same "chance" if it plays one betting with all the amount, and the question here is, why do gamblers prefer this system to a single roll?

Personally I prefer to do a martingale strategy than just bet one time big. I remember the youtube video where a guy sold everything he had just to put it all on one bet at roulette. You must have balls of steel to do that. I think the majority of us prefer to follow a long term strategy so we can gamble more. If we just bet once and lose, everything is gone. The odds might be close to 50/50 but the variance is going to be huge with just one bet. Have you made a lot of profit with just rolling once?
