Hi,
Is there someone still working on earthcoin?
Please leave a message at bitcointalk
[ANN][EAC] EarthCoin - EAC v1.3.2 Now Available!
Thanks in advance
Best regards, Kevin

Thank you!
Your message has been received. We’ll get back to you shortly.

And now we wait... they'll get back to us shortly  Roll Eyes

Where are they going to do that?  They aren't using twitter much.  Maybe they should talk about being
bought out?  I really love how they created something but doesn't seem to be miner/marketplace driven.

So is all that money that was hacked stilled "trapped" somewhere or did it get released?
3483  Economy / Lending / Re: Need Loan Because I Can't Stop Buying ASICS on eBay on: November 19, 2016, 03:32:37 PM
Just another note, I bought an S1 with power supply with postage paid for $30 total, and just bought 5 GS orbs with power supply and cords postage paid for $30 total.

Deals can be had, gotta know how to search.   FUD always has its effect.

I needed a small loan because I haven't been doing the day job, so obsessed with BTC/Mining, and hopefully, soon to understand more about the Blockchain and all these things built on the ideas.
3484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [announce] Namecoin - a distributed naming system based on Bitcoin on: November 19, 2016, 01:31:21 PM
Call for developers for namecoin !!
Services over this tech are vital before further development could make sense by now.
Any news?

Shouldn't there be bounties for this?
3485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When is Gambling Like Investing on: November 19, 2016, 05:10:57 AM
I guess it's important to know when to stop when the stock/coin raises.  Pigs get fat but hogs get slaughtered.   In gambling, you don't have that choice.  You just lose.
3486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Good Altcoins Fail on: November 19, 2016, 04:25:13 AM
It's funny, there are hundreds of coins, and a lot of them with high market caps, and some like Curecoin and Namecoin that seem to have reason to exist, but you rarely find people defending the reason for them in these kinds of threads.  All the defense is in the announcement threads by the amount of energy keeping them going.   The only reason an altcoin needs for existence is sincere people wanting it to succeed for some reason, like Dash, Doge, Ethereum, Monero, there doesn't need to be some cosmic written-in-stone absolute worth of its existence except if people want it there.  Yes there are a lot of scams and naive teams but all the FUD in the world doesn't seem like it will slow all of them down. I understand the reason to focus on BTC alone, the rest seem unstable and a good way to lose money.  But the creativity and sense of ownership for the small teams of people that are sincere shouldn't be looked down on, especially if it creates income and employment.  If foolish people lose their money, they would probably lose it some other way anyway.  No sense in blaming the idea of altcoins in general.
3487  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mmpool.org - 1.5% fee DGM/PPS - tx fees/vardiff/merge mine/tor on: November 19, 2016, 02:42:06 AM
Hi, been mining to the pool on and off and had over the payout of .005 for DGM Estimated Round Payout, but I noticed it went down to .00499.  Can it go back up by itself without me mining or will it just keep doing down?

3488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Good Altcoins Fail on: November 19, 2016, 12:19:39 AM
at some point probably many devs realize that their time spent supporting/developing the coin doesn't pays of

They should agree to be bought out then, at the price the market will bear.

but who wants to buy a bunch of overvalued shitcoins that technically delivers nothing. if the price is crashing and there is no trading volume and buy support, we can easily say that, that coins is dead/dying.

Well, like Namecoin and others lesser, like Earthcoin, someone might want them.

3490  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [30+PH] Kano CKPool kano.is 0.9% PPLNS US,DE,SG,JP,NL on: November 18, 2016, 11:44:37 PM

I had to do some other things so stayed at another pool for a while.   I am using the username method now but I don't see where
on kano.is after I log in where I put my BTC address.   Smiley
It's under Account>Settings

Thanks. I didn't see it was giving me an invalid login because Chrome was feeding it my email address I used for the account.

Sorry if this was asked before but when a thread has 1049 pages, doing your homework can be a bit tiresome.  I even googled it and didn't find it.

How long does it take for one's account to be registering in the CKPool?   My Kano.is account is also just about 2.5 hours old now.

I did everything that I understood it said, like creating a worker for each machine but I didn't seem to be getting any readings on pool interface, just in the text box area it said I was mining and getting shares and my hashrate.

I am pointing my antminers to http://stratum.kano.is:3333, using btc addresses with _worker1, _worker2  I didn't register anything else on the pool interface, usual sign-up log in procedures.

There appears to be an issue with the iphone application at the moment: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1344360.msg16877188#msg16877188

Sorry, I was reusing a post on the monitor thread.  This is just about first time user hookup in an Antminer s3....it seems to be registering but not with the website interface and not with other apps like the CKPool Monitor.  I've edited it to make it more appropriate.

Also from the front page, if you want to see user stats when you only register with a BTC address and not a username:

If you mine only with a bitcoin address you can view user and worker stats:
e.g.
http://www.kano.is/address.php?a=1KanoiBupPiZfkwqB7rfLXAzPnoTshAVmb
http://www.kano.is/worker.php?a=1KanoiBupPiZfkwqB7rfLXAzPnoTshAVmb_worker

Registering a username will allow you to see more details on the web site.

Maybe my problem yesterday was that I did both, I created a username, but didn't use that in my Antminer set-up.  I used
my BTC_workername.  But that doesn't make sense, unless you really can't use your BTC name if you have an account username also
set up.

It's the way it works...if you want to see the greater detail of your workers on the web site, mine with your username_worker.  If not, use your BTC address_worker and see your stats with links formatted like the links above.  Totally your choice but if you do use your username_worker, make sure you put your BTC address in your account for receiving payouts.  Welcome to Kano.is! Cheesy

3492  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you deposit from LTC address to Poloniex? on: November 18, 2016, 07:38:53 PM
Polo should show you a LTC wallet (you may have to generate it).
You will have to transwer from your wallet to "your" poloniex wallet.

I am on mobile now and I can't check the steps 100% ...

Thanks.  I just sent from the LTC wallet, with the Poloniex address.
3493  Economy / Trading Discussion / How do you deposit from LTC address to Poloniex? on: November 18, 2016, 07:31:39 PM
No one on the Poloniex trollbox could answer this question, probably because not a lot of miners at the time.  I have been mining LTC on a pool and deposited some to my address, it shows in my wallet, and now I want to buy another coin on Poloniex.  I go to https://poloniex.com/balances and try to deposit/withdraw but it doesn't work.  There has to be some other place where I can tell Poloniex my LTC address and authorize it to withdraw.   I guess I need to give it a private key, but I don't see this interface.
3494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When is Gambling Like Investing on: November 18, 2016, 12:04:43 PM
Gambling is risk seeking activity. While investors are usually seeking the best and safest projects, therefore minimizing and averting  the risk.
Face it - gamblers are no investors they are simply customers of gambling service which is usually designed to gain profits.

Op, you asked about theoretical side of gambling and math behind the games. Many bright people tried to find golden strategies and rules behind it.
And as we can see casinos are still standing strong. So if you think gambling might be a shortcut to become a millionaire - you are wrong.

I don't.  Most of them seem to get busted for something.
3495  Economy / Lending / Re: Need Loan Because I Can't Stop Buying ASICS on eBay on: November 18, 2016, 03:40:11 AM
I am talking like $25 in BTC as the ASICs I've been buying are not very expensive.
Something doesn't sound right here. 25$ ASICs? Those would seem not profitable mostly, with the huge jump in network hashrate and difficulty compared to before, when cheap ASICs were decent. What ASIC are you buying? Even an AntMiner S1 costs more than 25$, and I can't really think of other miners that are decent and as cheap as that.

You should reinvest you mining profits instead of asking for a loan, because you won't get it here.

I'm just in need of a short term loan and really not in much of one.  I had my prices too high in my buy and sell inventory and just lowered everything recently.   I really want to get more active in the marketplace section, offering things for Bitcoin.   I have my own methodology as far as mining and don't believe in sneering at small beginnings.  I have an S3, S1, and a bunch of GS Orbs.  I also like the trading of altcoins so it's fun to mine them and build a portfolio.

3496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When is Gambling Like Investing on: November 18, 2016, 03:19:33 AM
I'm not a fan of gambling by itself, but instead as a way of studying and learning about other things.  For instance, I'm sure that if elderly people kept playing card games, it would help keep their minds alert.  Studying poker involves studying human nature and probabilities.   There are other aspects like studying risk in gambling, which is like studying risk in investing.

Does anyone have any examples of how gambling is like investing?

I Think that Gambling is Like Investing When You Do Sports Betting Because in Sports Betting You Need to Use Your Skills Of Knowledge and Experience in Sports and Also You Need to Do Some Analysis in Sports Betting Before Putting a Bet On Any Event........
So I Think that Gambling is Like Investing in Sports Betting.........

That's still always possibly 50-50 odds unless one team is great and one isn't, so I think it's not like investing.  People do lose in investing, but it's said to only put a small amount of your money in riskier investments and stay long term with the good ones.
3497  Economy / Lending / Need Loan Because I Can't Stop Buying ASICS on eBay on: November 18, 2016, 02:39:53 AM
I am in need of a small loan because I am on my 9th ASIC purchase in less than two months.

You could just use one of the BTC to Paypal payment processors and buy straight from me on eBay:

http://www.ebay.ph/usr/paramind

I have the same account with 100% feedback going back to 1998.

Or, you could give me your offer in a PM.

Check my posting history here to see I'm always positive and supportive.

I am talking like $25 in BTC as the ASICs I've been buying are not very expensive.  The paramind account eBay
purchases would just to help out another miner.
3498  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day Trading Crypto- Currencies Is Dead... on: November 17, 2016, 08:03:06 PM
Is there any system where I can get a free email alert when an altcoin I own goes up to a certain level?
3499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Good Altcoins Fail on: November 17, 2016, 07:49:13 PM
I think Earthcoin looks good.

You're kidding, right? EAC was a pump & dump scheme from the start and its currently not being dumped, because majority of the coin is controlled by the Chinese. Let (for example) Poloniex list it and see what happens. Its market cap will drop from $1,24Mn to 0 faster than a bullet shot against a wall. Charts are not lying:

I am not kidding and don't want to be accused of giving credence to a pump and dump.  Just raising the question.  It's one coin you can mine on all the existing low end ASICs and make something that looks like a profit if the coin goes up a little in value.  Did the Chinese also create all these merchant websites?  Surely, someone was sincerely interested in this coin at one point http://getearthcoin.com/business-and-trade
When I see that, I really worry about the people at the top who are in control of the website, etc.  It's harder to do things in the world than people generally know.  I would more likely give someone the credit of simply caving from pressure than actually being a scammer, when the
background of the coin looks this good.

3500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Good Altcoins Fail on: November 17, 2016, 06:42:01 PM
because they have all tiny marketcap and too much premine, every coin with too much premine or high number of coin in the end of the few will fail nowadays, so do not compare it with bitcoin, it's not the same
Yeah i agree with this and i think also for low support and low marketing or promotion that is why  they are always fail to get more investors in their project.. right now if they are get it viral it they can push good like ethereum before because of marketing strategy and promises they are attracting people and investors to invest in their project.. before i heard ethereum in many forums and advertisement. so i think marketing is one of their needs because in some people or crypto holders are in other forum not only here in our forum..

Not sure the answer is in more investors as sweat equity is provided by miners and people who believe in the ideas behind the coin, like Earth coin might have had.  Sweat equity can do the programming, websites, and so on.  This is going on right now with Pascalcoin.  I don't know what the history is with the ICO and investment history of Earthcoin.
