I'm for keeping the name of BOAT. Boats are sexy, most people want them if they can afford the upkeep. I think the price is down partially because a lot of alts are down. I've been supporting BOAT for about six months or more and it's often swung up and down, even when it was at a much lower range. A lot of alts have gone down and many of the big names from years ago haven't climbed back up since the ICO's starting happening. With the website and more vocal team, I don't think more drastic measures like a name change is necessary.

dev, is your token present on any exchange ?
You can trade it right now on WAVES DEX, which is found in the WAVES wallet. If anyone knows any progressive bands or individual musicians that have actual products, we would be willing to give them some of the tokens. After we are further along, and the token is held by more and more people, the desire for the value to increase should warrent it being on more exchanges. |

I love the website layout, colors, artwork and graphics but I distance myself from anything related to online piracy, and a lot of people are like me. Entrepreneurs who put out software, music and even movies are not your rich corporations. Just because the dev used pirate talk, I didn't get the sense he was encouraging that kind of digital behavior. Sea going pirates in real life, the ones who kidnap people and the like, are the pretty much everybody's scum of the earth. This is the kind of association that has held crypto back for so many years. All you really have to do to change it is to remove that one text line.

well according to my calculation its something like 0.03% a day, but i might be wrong, anyone else can estimate the daily reward in percentage?

I have 16179 coins, today I got 5.7, .6, and 5.8. so its around 20% per a year, this is low but still nice. i remember that in the old thread it says 3% - 5% per a stake which is really high. all in all i think its great coin however i wonder how many coins have circulated because there was a swap and how many will be circulated as it wil affect the market price. It's random staking percentage. I also got a few more smaller ones yesterday as well. |

Yep, the wallet code is there, so the coin could be revived. I can run a public node, so there could be at least one connection available, so chain could move. However the coin creation services are the core of the project, and someone should run them, so the project could survive. I never heard that expression before. Do you mean staking? Which expression do you mean..? "coin creation services"? That was the goal of this coin - people buys XCRE, then pay to devs for them to prepare now altcoins to launch. Devs do programming, fine-tune the new coin based on different existing codebases, then hand the code to the customer to launch and maintain the new coin. Thanks for explaining that. Well, I loved the name and design of the wallet, I think it also has a fairly high staking rate. |

I'd like to know why the developer, who also has plenty of money from RAIN, won't bother to get this listed elsewhere. I'm not going to fund exchanges for this coin knowing he has deep pockets from his other project. At this point I'm starting to feel like BOAT is just an afterthought.
Well Boat was the devs first project and RAIN came afterwards, I think the dev wasn't expecting RAIN to take off like it did and now RAIN most likely takes up all of his time. I do like to see Boat listed on Cryptopia and yes the dev should have the funds to at least get Boat listed on more exchanges because there was a huge pre-mine which now should cover the costs for listing on other exchanges. I read a lot of speculations about a 'pre-mine', I can be clear about this. A pre-mine doesn't have to mean anything yet until you sell it. And if you analyse the sellings of BOAT lately, the last weeks and the amount being mined then it seems plausible that the largest percentage could be sold by them, the miners. So the assumption that the dev must have enough funds to pay for example for Cryptopia, where the entrance fee is currently 7.5+ BTC BTC - $34.800 that is perhaps not even correct... The new website is basically finalized and I'm waiting for an update and confirmation of the dev.  When the website URL+block explorer is updated at Coinmarketcap I'm starting a promo campaign to boost attention and let the market cap grow steadily in the upcoming months. True however when Boat hit its peak not long ago the dev could of sold some of the premine coins and paid to get listed on Cryptopia as back then it was a lot cheaper then it is now. I even posted on here saying this but not sure if the dev did it or not. That is the whole idea of the premine as the dev even states this in the OP. Now it seems that it might be too late with Cryptopia as the listing fee is way too high and in my opinion is too much as the BTC will be better spent trying for Bittrex or other big exchanges. The good thing is Boat is already listed on Coinexchange which is now starting to be a big player in the exchanges as one of the biggest with daily volume, I believe even more then Cryptopia now. Indeed coinexchange.io is better than cryptopia, also have more daily volume. The problem of BOAT is not the exchanges, 2-3 exchanges are enough. I know few coins like XRB, BIS who didn't have exchanges for months/years. The problem is the lack of vision, involvement and developement of the project. I don't want to fud I'm a miner and a holder of this, but i don't see any activity in here from the dev. No marketing. No new feature. What is the purpose of this coin in the end? Maybe the dev can find some people and start making a team. He is only one guy running 2 projects. As far as we know. I think there may be less devs than what we think. Many of these dev accounts go missing after launching the coin. It may be there are a few organized business groups that launch some of these coins in an anonymous way. |

I am really sorry guys for not reading the topic (I am a little short on time) but do I need to download a new wallet? Mine is probably about 3/4 months old. I really like this project tho, I remember the Minecraft server rumours, new logo contests and all. Is there any progress on that, btw?

is the dev still earning so much 1337 ? ive red that big part goes too him.. why did i buy this  Bcouse i didnt know about bitcointalk Not sure about what you're saying about the dev. Remember, if you're mining it, then that coin can be sold for LTC and/or DOGE, because 1 Sat is more than what they are composed of. You might have a coin increase in value in DOGE or LTC when it seems it's just staying at 1 Sat BTC. So it's possible to sell 1337 that is being staked. Then hopefully you will trade with that profit on something that will also be profitable. |

What is a good pool to mine this? I don't like mining coins on pools that I'm not allowed to log in, but I remember ecoining was a major Peercoin pool.

You can get some bitcoin on the Binance exchange, they will handle the bitcoin gold process on your behalf and allocate the BTG to your account.

Yes, the person here named Noise is working on an upgrade that uses less resources, although this wallet doesn't use much compared to PiggyCoin, GrowthCoin and Bottlecaps, also great POS coins. |

Do you think that sell wall at 1140 is fake? Wouldn't it be great to be a billionaire and buy up good coins that others may be trying to manipulate? I really think if someone with some money did a real press PR campaign about staking wallets, good POS coins would skyrocket.

I asked for similar in a PM to the Dev, no response yet maybe someone from the community that is already staking can answer these questions. the more info we will have the more we can enter to this coin and help to promote it. It seems to be staking every day, 3-5% but there are also random rewards mentioned. A lot of Crypto devs today I think are tired of a lack of a big enough team working under them. But then I think that bounties should be given for support. Everything takes an emotional toll for better or worse, and maybe the dev is a little tired from all the work to get the new wallet out. thanks for the info mate, do you know how much coins are circulated? also how should i call the node file is it kangarobits2.conf or kangarobits.conf or something else? i couldn't find block explorer for this coin. anyway i will check this pos coin and if it is cool i`ll help to promote it among my club  I don't have any info on the amount of coins. I just booted up the wallet and it started to sync, which didn't take much time at all. |
