They are regulating crypto exchanges and block large amounts of cash, now I can only get enough money for one simple jumping round, if I try to cash out more, they will not allow me. if people could sell their Bitcoins, price wouldn't be $9878.
I take your point...But as price of crypto and BTC goes up..especially at this rapid pace as this year...the below is my problem...on moving crypto of any flavor or BTC to fiat/cash and as price accelerated upward and I hoard etc...It likely will get more weird.... My issue is more with IRS and tax man and capital gains etc. I mean BTC has gone up 11x this year. $11,000.00 BTC as I type this. Thus the issue is NOT exchanges, for me anyway and some of the oldsters into crypto, it is how much can I take out of my BTC hoard w/o getting creamed by 40% capital gains (if less then 1 year and 1 day) and 20% capital gains (if more than 1 year and 1 day). Also, as far as I'm aware....the tax rates are correct...but the money you get DOES up your gross tax bracket also ..thus you can add more %%% to the above the chart on your gross tax rate as you withdraw...so IRS etc is not big on windfall profits connected to windfall withdrawals as you can see the chart bases the % on your income. Thus you pop up your income by the withdrawals even using the above chart....and blamo...a bit more %%%'s added to the amount. (others better versed than myself in USA tax law 2017 ..hopefully, tax experts ..feel free to jump in..but how I think it works..in a gross/rough layman's kinda viewpoint) Windfall withdrawal of the massive amount of $$$ on any investment...is kinda frowned upon by the tax code. You are 'supposed' to make the kinda returns we have made in crypto and BTC over DECADES and then withdraw MODESTLY in our latter years.... thus my real issue is getting it out at above 35k w/o getting creamed by capital gains as a reflection of my income (still mining) oh well, worse reasons to bitch I guess then this, but that is my major problem..not exchange issues...(then again I'm practically a traitor on here and use Coinbase) This will be a problem for more than just me, and other oldsters to bitcoin and crypto in the coming years...if the price continues to go up in the manner most pundits and proponents of crypto and Bitcoin state now... Again not a bad problem to have, but if this all shakes out upward and onward..it will be a chokepoint on exchanging some of your crypto into $$$ well into the future. The only cautionary tale I might make on this is the group before in BTC and crypto up until say Jan 2017....we have seen a lot of FUD/drama/price dumps/etc and are still in the race the massive amount of newbies have not been 'bloodied' yet by such and are NOT In crypto for some of the reasons us oldsters are...mostly they are in for the $$$ IMHO, and not the protocol or replacement of traditional finance in some manner etc thus when there is a correction...of some kind FUD wise or otherwise or an exchange chokes again etc ...all this money from Jan 2017 that went into crypto could flow out just as fast (in the short term in my view) due to panic etc Bitcoin and crypto is an unregulated market..thus like the 1880's thru 1930's there will be the equivalent of bank runs and crashes etc...if you HODL it will be fine....but some of the new money and newbies coming in are gonna get bloodied by this yo/yo up/down/crash/fud/despair/fomo action....so proportionally a lot of newbies..but proportionally many of them are gonna panic like any other masses in any other fiat or bank crash prepare for it and Hodl after such happens, IMHO, after being bloodied....the will come back into the market wiser and in the long run..it will be good....but too many folks out there still learning and buying the press FUD on every downturn..it may take this mass of new folk this year into BTC and crypto a year to come to terms how fast stuff here can flip in price and perception from month to month....learning curves suck! anyway, what I'm planning on..if I'm wrong I will be pleasantly surprised...if I am right....I'll just ride it out as usual......but the new folk....they to shall learn like us pre-Jan 2017 folk.....it's a roller coaster...deal with it  Anyway, oldsters also need to prepare for this .....the swings may be major...newbies...well, there is a reason some of us in this for a bit have 'grey hairs' take the poll thanks brad |

Bitcoin will continue increasing in value, the demand and popularity will increase as well. Altcoins like etherum will get a slight increase in value too. Cryptocurrencies may be the most traded asset in the stock market. It will become more stable in the near future too. Yeah..this guy seems to be plugging their side pretty hard, hell, there are folk here, THAT ARE PROVEN TRUSTWORTHY DOING ESCROW that would likely if a miner showed up, would test it and if reasonably priced would then pay for it I mean win/win/win for the mnfg (or why start the thread) 1) going to trusted member (proves it exists) 2) testing it and independent review (gives you a mess of sales) 3) trusted member on here..sends you a check (or the unit back at your discretion) after review 4) Great Publicity and a link to future sales using this thread and review I mean it's too convenient that we got zip on these units....I still call SCAM.... when too many things line up on the mnfg favor, vs visibility of the product...it, IMHO, is most likely a scam! prove me wrong, would like to see more than just bitmain products in the world with easy access here in the states.... hell, sell me one, I have enough trust on bitcointalk built up (hell, throw a rock in this thread and you could make quite the killing later on units with just trusted members again, I call scam....too little risk on the mnfg's end....all the risk at the buyer's end later brad |

I'm imagining this 10 year flag where it drops back to nothing after government bans and then 10 years later it finally breaks 10,000 (or whatever ath was) again as we struggle to watch what is going on in decentralized exchanges and hand to hand transactions.
Imagine that either Tera did not buy enough bitcoin or sold too many, and the bearish-bullshit talk begins to wax, wane and spew from her mouths.... Sure you have these bearish tendencies, which can be reasonable, but frequently you are spewing out scenarios that are NOT in touch with real actual happenings an real actual events in order to spread FUD. guys, any news about new version of scrypt miner? Like L4 or something. Or L3+ the only thing for the next six months?
the next bitmain miner may be like the L3...it may NEVER hit the USA site for sale (or main page I should say) ..all the L3's were internal to China and bitmain's data hall..i got mine from www.eastshore.xyz...thus production units in mass to us may be TWO versions away and way after April 2018...imho. they are MAYBE filling their out of China data halls with new miners or L3+'s as we speak...for the next 4 months until march so I see NO lessening of difficulty...just all going into bitmain data halls so IMHO, BITMAIN will have to sell an L4+ or some kind of consumer product at much better specs or efficiency by April 2018....with difficulty rise (even with price rise) thus I'm just mining scrypt pow (ltc) like hell and holding on my already 7,500mh of scrypt-pow units and 2 dubious Bitmain D3's and a bakial 300mh cube all going to LTC anyway, how I see it since bitmain said it was doing data halls out of China (wise move on their part IMHO) but, the march units are a trap....as big a trap as the x11 d3 miners vs difficulty....the ratio of toasters hitting the world will be the same..just bitmain will keep them all thus you'd be better off holding LTC for the next pump then plunk down 1.5k usd for a march L3+ miner (almost 1.5years old in design at that point) that they can keep till april 10th before shipping too boot...and will by that time be creamed by bitmain data hall loading up the below was my 2nd attempt right after to get L3's from china....right around the time LTC was probably 5 bucks or so... remember bitmain is the company that TOOK MY UNITS PAID/STAMPED SHIPPED off the www.eastshore.xyz truck in the bitmain distribution center shipping parking lot...when LTC went from 4.15 to up to 50 bucks..this was direct from eastshore rep....who was beyond pissed off... ...also the L3+ orders I made a month later were held for 6 weeks also ...with firmware errors THAT BITMAIN FALSELY CLAIMED FOR THE HOLD OF EQUIPMENT (May 2018) yet the firmware arrived saying Jan 2018...so bitmain could mine them...6 weeks of mining at my end shot to hell on a bitmain '6 week hold' of my equip they could mine to try and stop seg witness on LTC bastards! They also raised difficulty on LTC by 1/3 and on their attempted run to 'stop' seg witness on litecoin....so that was icing on the scam too boot. thus the games bitmain can play until March 2018 are too epic for me to chance...just saying... I"m mining the stuff I've got and will look at equipment after April 2018.....if you think the price is gonna pump ...get the coin and hold...if you think the price is gonna dump... buy equip when the price is high for a hedge...then hold for the pump price pumping and using crypto to get equip now..is just silly imho...unless you really think prices of LTC and pow-scrypt are gonna dump and you need a hedge anyway, what do I know in 2013 as a btc newbie I drank the butterfly labs kool-aid.....so disregard all here that I type.....) you only put 1/3 down...they took PayPal...it is just after 90 days...when PayPal was no longer an issue (or your credit card) they suddenly HAD PROBLEMS... back in the day when I thought a credit card and PayPal would work for me i did do a dispute after 90 days with American Express and LOST but Amex sent me an invoice from alpha-tech that said PAID IN FULL er...I sent in a 2nd dispute and was called by fraud dept of Amex...because informed them it was a pre-order and I only paid 1/3 down AMEX rep was pissed YOU DO NOT LIE TO AMEX OR WILL BE SQUASHED! he said I was gonna get my (i think it was $600 bucks) back and they blacklisted them so dumb luck I got my money back but anyway, we had better protections in 2013 and 2014 in buying miners then you do now...now the only choice is crypto scam company or not! |

I don't need the crypto or mining I'm doing to retire 'in the lovely lifestyle that I have now....on Dec 31st, 2017 I pull the trigger (got to keep the health insurance until Jan 1st, 2018 don't ya know from the job before the change. (job is gonna freak on notice Friday) thus, the main question from them...with crypto as a 'backstop' was how will I handle it when it goes Tulips? Alas, almost got them to newbie status...so close! thus still freaked out about BTC and crypto FUD......so they are still not on board...getting any....themselves....at this time progress though....by tulips...they see it dumping to 2-3k, so hey I will take what I can get...not going completely to zero eventually, FOMO, will wear everyone down to getting crypto...especially if ETF's ever come to pass... |

Even though the price of Bitcoin has seen significant increases since this campaign had started, we have not lowered our payment rates at all. However, the time has now come to make (albeit minor) adjustments to their structure. Starting with the next round (Week 10), the rates have changed as follows:
Member: 0.004 BTC -> 0.0035 BTC.
Full Member: 0.008 BTC -> 0.007 BTC.
Senior Member: 0.015 BTC -> 0.015 BTC.
Hero/Legendary Member: 0.0225 BTC -> 0.021 BTC.
As a result, this has also opened up another slot in the Hero/Legendary range. Therefore, Searing has been promoted to that slot. BillCoin has been promoted to a Senior Member slot, and Trofo has been promoted to a Full Member slot. We now have a member slot empty for the upcoming week. All these changes are already visible in the campaign sheet for Week 10.
I hope that everyone understands. If you do not find this change acceptable, you can leave the campaign on the next Tuesday ~23 PM UTC (forum time) to avoid losing your payment for this week.

As for the downside/lowering of rates...as expected though....signature campaigns have always adjusted to BTC price increases up and down (unless funded months in advance...that is damn rare now in 2017!) I can't believe that Bitmain is waiting until March to release the next batch of L3+. I wonder if it's some kind of mistake. I was hoping to pick up a couple more with these coupons floating around. I guess since they don't have to kill any competition in the scrypt market like the X11 they don't have to flood the market or maybe they know something we don't know and they're loading up their own farms. 4 months is a really long lead time.
No they will do what they did with D3 miners that destroyed our profits. We purchased the miners they mined with them for 4 damn months killed the coin and value and than released them on us after the chance to ROI was gone. They now plan to do the same damn thing with the L3+! If you buy this batch your probably pissing away your money because they are going to be mining with the hardware you paid for making all the damn money! Bitmain has already said they are going to invest in data halls in the USA.....So, IMHO, all that production for the next 4 months that would have been toaster city out to us..is now going to them....likely about 200,000 units if they kept the same pace...again, imho...NO WQY have they stopped or will stop production..so these units have to go someplace... So the difficulty will continue to rise, like they are still tossing batches out every two weeks, heck, perhaps faster, so they will drive up the difficulty and mine like hell...but now ALL that production goes directly to them ..in the new data halls.. Jihan Wu of Bitmain...is making the same bet I did a couple months ago...LTC is gonna double or triple from the $50 it was a couple months ago..I'm mining all LTC.... with BTC above 8k usd I have a hard time NOT seeing $150 to $300 buck LTC. He is gonna do the same with all these miners, from those months, safely in the USA, away from China Gov't.....and mine like myself...'balls to the wall. So it is a trap the MARCH unit for the price vs what difficulty will be by then.....these march units will make little if no sense like the D3's..again my view. Also, they state that the March batch does not have to be delivered until April 10th...thus if LTC HAS tripled by then, he could mine your machines a month more before he sends them to you ...or has to curb shipping new units to himself and out to you, rather than the data hall from the taking of BCH and his BCH bet at $200 BCH and having 90% or more equip of many flavors x11, scrypt-pow, sha-256 ...I expect individually and the company...Jihan Wu of Bitmain has made 1 Billion Dollars for himself and his firm this year easy! bitman: evil done right! tm bitmain |

I just figured out I have to wait until Dec 31st, 2017 to retire.....need to keep health insurance until my individual health insurance plan starts on 1/1/2018. Duh. Kinda obvious. So Gasp! I will have to work an EXTRA 2 WEEKS! (the horror!) Ack! Anway, have more time to line stuff up, I guess...but yeah...going w/o health insurance for 2 weeks before the other plan kicks in could be bad. (duh!) Anyway, I will just have to work thru this mentally that it will be 2x as long as I expected to be an escaped wage slave (tips: can be sent to the btc address on my profile here on bitcointalk...to repair the obvious mental scarring of 2 more weeks of work before retirement....I know it is going to be hell to endure....but I shall attempt to be strong!) lol brad |

Well tallking to the CPA lady..today...lining some stuff up on solo 401k place (not her) and other thoughts
as a result....looking at stuff to tell her ...I see that my crypto had doubled in value since July 2017! (this is all my crypto not just BTC)
also looked at Oct 2015 my crypto was worth 2.12% of what I have now.....mostly due to pump since 2015....
