When the Core/Unlimited debate was at it's paroxysm, I figured out that if the BTC blockchain is forked, we should load as much collectibles as we can before the fork since the collectibles will contain the coins on several blockchains. Would they be more valuable ? Maybe |

Haha. First time I see this happening. There is a loooot of more interesting auctions violating the meaning of the word "increment" out there, you should focus on these first. (EDIT : like a yummy kialara 1BTC gold for a 0.2 BTC increment  ) What I meant is that the bid amount must be evenly divisible by 0.02, not necessarily to have all bids enumerated in 0.02 increments from 0 to whatever winning bid. (As for the 0.25 invalid bid, 0.25/0.02 = 12.5 ; 0.24 or 0.26 would have been considered a valid bid there) Let's stop playing on words and be serious, shall we ?  0.54BTC

If so, yes you can base your price on a hourly basis.
You can say that it will take x hours to complete this particular task, and payment is made accordingly to that.

I had a Coindice too, and asked someone to fix it. All went well, but the script got hacked anyway so ... I believe there is a backdoor that allows to empty wallets in it. Anyway, please check the threads about johny1976 (the original dev of Coindice/coinjack/etc..) : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=920645.0 (for exemple) A lot of script owners got their wallets emptied, and with johny missing now it makes me think of some scam to take some BTC from people. I advise you to be cautious with that script ! |

Yes, this. Also, I expect the Bitcoin world to go crazy if Satoshi even just spends his BTC. Not mentioning cashing out or anything. Bitcoin price is due to it's scarcity. What if all of a sudden, he stops holding this 1M BTC and that gets to the market. Price should decrease. If Satoshi is still alive and holds his coins, that means in my opinion that he believes in the success of his experiment. As soon as he starts moving his stash bitcoiners will panic. |

About your question why he didn't generate x coins for himself: he could have done a hefty premine, but since btc is open source, everybody would have been able to see the premine right there in his sourcecode...
Just a sidenote : What's the difference between a premine, an instamine, and Bitcoin ? Since that cryptocurrency scheme was coming out of nowhere, satoshi was the only one believing in it for some time, and was the only miner. Fact that it was open source is important, but to me bitcoin is an "instamined" coin. The "Insta" part during weeks, sure, but still ... |
