4201  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: [Choose the new Pywallet name] - Pywallet 2.1.6: manage your wallet on: November 22, 2013, 10:51:16 AM

Yes, put this as the passphrase:
Quote
I don't want to put a password on the recovered wallet and I know what can be the consequences.
(line 4883 in https://github.com/jackjack-jj/pywallet/blob/master/pywallet.py)
Tell me if it helps you recovering the coins

Hey !
That worked like a charm.
I just recovered several hundreds of millions of Infinitecoin, and over 1 million of Zetacoins.
That IFC wallet was 750Mb in size, recovered about 125k keys..
That was a long process, but what a relief !
Thanks a lot for your work ! If you want some IFC or ZET please post an addy. ;-)

By the way, how does WalletWizard sounds ? Can be WalletWiz or something.
Sounds good, sounds prety good IMO! I'll consider that!
Thanks a lot!
I will be honored if you name it that way. :-)

Franchement, merci beaucoup !! Quel soulagement ! :-D
4202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Colossuscoin- Traded on Cryptsy, Checkpoint Server Enabled. on: November 18, 2013, 11:14:01 AM
Hello everybody Smiley

I am happy to introduce altdice to the Colossuscoin community
It's a dice game pretty much like the early version of Satoshi Dice

http://col.altdice.net

To play, choose your favorite odds and send any amount to this address, anywhere from 500 COL to the max bet.
A number between 0 and 65535 will be picked up for you, based on your bet transaction ID.
If this number is below the number of the game, then you win your bet amount * Prize Multiplier paid out directly to your wallet.
If you lose, you get 0.001 COL back to your wallet.

The game requires 2 COL confirmations. 98% expected payout. 2% edge house.
Play max bet and win over 75 millions COL !

Have a try :-)
Send 500 COL to ohAhieph6aKw3F2heLw2fjij4eHcd1roJ => This is the 85% chance of winning game adress. It pays out x1.153 your bet amount to your wallet if you win.

I wish players the best of luck and to have a lot of fun at http://col.altdice.net :-)
4203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZET] Zetacoin - SHA256 coin - Pools up - Quick confirmations on: November 18, 2013, 11:06:02 AM

@yogg - maybe some instructions on the dice page for people who have't played this kind of game?

@kimosan :
Thank you very much for the explanations you provided about the game.
Yes, I will add a short explanation about how to play the game at the top of the page.
This is much needed.
4204  Economy / Economics / Re: Hedge against BitCoin collapse on: November 14, 2013, 11:33:08 PM
I am looking for the perfect edge against a bitcoin collapse. My biggest fear is selfish mining or some
other hack on the system. Not so much worried about bears, volatility and governments.

there

make a deposit and go short on BTC
4205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Colossuscoin- Traded on Cryptsy, Checkpoint Server Enabled. on: November 14, 2013, 12:40:03 PM
It's working fine for me.
I received some COL from cryptsy.
4206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZET] Zetacoin - SHA256 coin - Pools up - Quick confirmations on: November 13, 2013, 11:16:14 PM

http://zet.altdice.net

have a try Wink
send a few ZETs  to ZWNYpWw6vmzFtT8e5sQ6iWHXcAazTC2J6W (min 1, max 165k)
you have 80% chance of winning  x1.225 your bet amount !

I wish all players a lot of fun and the best of luck at altdice.net
4207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Colossuscoin- Traded on Cryptsy, Checkpoint Server Enabled. on: November 11, 2013, 06:30:07 PM
Col not syncing stuck at block 212072

Stuck at block 124072 right now.
Gets often stuck all the way at XXXX72
When I try close and reopen it, it keeps on downloading but once the download was complete I was still out of sync and didn't receive some coins from crypsty.

Ha, it moved to 125572.
I notice I see a lot of 72 at the end of the block count, when I'm "stuck".

126072 now ! \o/

Eventually we'll get there Cheesy

EDIT : Pause at 126572... It kinda sleeps every 500 blocks.
Can it be somehow related to checkpointing?
4208  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [Loan Request] Need funds to run altdice.net - Special conditions on: November 09, 2013, 06:44:21 PM
1.1K PXC received, this loan is closed, thanks. A new 50K PXC loan is established, TxID 710ea2085bd0e95a8783e21e154e066d664671efe7ea4eb998dda4b2e2600eae. Good luck!

Loan received ! I'm raising the stakes right now.
Thank you very much ! :-)

Which coins do you need right now?

To say the truth, I would prefer any coin that is not yet supported by Altdice.
I can virtually add each and every coin, so any coin will do it.
I have a preference for coins with larger communities tho.
This way we can open the game to more and more communities, in the end. :-)

We are currently supporting 8 coins :
-Infinitecoin
-Zetacoin
-Worldcoin
-Crptogenic Bullion
-Franko
-Phoenixcoin
-Incakoin
-Netcoin

Why not Anoncoin, or Devcoin ?
By the way, the loan is not backed in BTC.
I mean if today you loan 0.2 BTC worth of Anoncoin, let's say it's 10000 ANC (it's an example). Well, I owe you 10000 ANC, and not 0.2BTC.
Just a point that seems important to me.
PM me if you want to discuss about details.
4209  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [Loan Request] Need funds to run altdice.net - Special conditions on: November 09, 2013, 05:05:20 PM
Repaid 1100 PXC to ghostlander
transaction : http://explorer.phoenixcoin.org/tx/956ea54be3c571d3c923c0c38b198ed4246b0b4aee6b99128e92d62289a9109c

I have bought a few PXC in order to increase stakes and enable a few more games. Players can now win over 5000 PXC per bet. I can therefore repay this loan.
The has not profited, we have a small loss. Instead of 50% profits, we arranged that 10% would be fine. That's why 1100.

ghostlander then offered a 50k loan.
This is a great opportunity to expand altdice, and raise stakes to offer larger bets to players.
The loan will take place with the same conditions :

ghostlander is entitled 50% profit during the whole loan time. Report are done twice a month, along with the profit payment.
No time limit.
Funds available upon request, but ghostlander won't be paid profits anymore once he retrieves 100% of his coins.

Ghostlander, please send 50k to PkZZMUufS3UQqC2J1DVWdL4jZ618EkHo3P if you agree.

Thank you very much for this great opportunity !
4210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] WorldCoin WDC | Coin of the Future | Instant Transactions | Launched on: November 08, 2013, 07:38:34 PM
I am happy to introduce wdc.altdice.net to the Worldcoin community.

This is a WDC dice game pretty much like early versions of Satoshi Dice. :-)

Come and play on :
http://wdc.altdice.net

Win over 1000 WDC per bet !
Expected global payout 98% - 2% house edge
Provably fair. (You can check for previous bets when the used secret phrase is released. You can search for a bet with the txid.)
Send 0.1 WDC back for every loss.
Keeps 0.1 WDC from any win to cover fees.
Min bet is 1 WDC for most of games (0.5 for the games with a higher payout)

You can click on the bets in the bet list to show more details about this bet.

4211  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: [Choose the new Pywallet name] - Pywallet 2.1.6: manage your wallet on: November 06, 2013, 05:02:48 PM
Hello !

Is there a way to get the output wallet.dat from --recover option without a passphrase ?

Ok, so basically what happened :
The power went out while the client was running, and when I try to start it again it says wallet corrupted.
I successfully recovered a wallet, then i copied it as wallet.dat and moved to the coin directory. I wiped the blockchain and download it again. While the blockchain was downloading the transaction appeared, even if there is no trace of addresses in the "'Receive" tab.

I found my balance again. It's allright but the passphrase I set at the begining of the operation (Enter the passphrase for the wallet that will contain all the recovered keys) doesn't seem to work.

What I did is to run the --recover option.
I got a recovered_wallet.dat, the client shows the correct balance with the wallet but it is locked with some passphrase that is different from the one I set during the recovery process.

I installed a new and clean VM, got only the corrupted wallet.dat file and pywallet on it, tried to recover again and set a single space as the passphrase, and I still can't unlock that wallet! "space" won't be the passphrase.
But I got everything in the corrupt wallet. I guess it's been badly written somewhere because of the shutdown and won't load properly.

It's a chance that the original wallet.dat was not encrypted. Maybe someday I'll retrieve these. Smiley

If anyone has any clue, any help is much appreciated. Thanks Smiley

By the way, how does WalletWizard sounds ? Can be WalletWiz or something.
4212  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [Loan Request] Need funds to run altdice.net - Special conditions on: October 31, 2013, 08:42:33 PM
Thanks for the information, I'll see if I can loan you anything.
Okay. I hope we can do some business in the future. Anyway keep updated on this thread. :-)
I want to loan altcoins more likely - there won't be any issues for exchange with BTC like this.

I know I asked for BTC first, but I considered only a one time massive loan at this time. It would allow to get better graphics and go high stakes with a few altcoins.
But I feel a lot of potential in Altdice, so I think this might be a way to get it done also. ^^

Anyway, I can ask these people from IncaKoin and Netcoin to post on this thread and also update the 1st post with their loans.
I'm a serious dude, I hate liars. I have been scammed too much in my life to scam anyone..
That's why the conditions are kind of weird. I can't promise a fixed %. Because I know I can't ! Why would I do so ? I'm transparent from start to finish. :-)
And I feel great this way, to say the truth. =)

Is there a minimum loan amount?

Well, yes and no.
No, because I can run a game with any amount of coin.
Yes, because I realised with PXC that it depends on the transaction fee. It is 0.1 with PXC. The game has to be profitable.
I can't offer bets as low as 0.1 PXC, because the game won't make any profit from these bets, since it sends a bit of a coin to indicate a loss.
If the fee to do this transaction is equal to the bet amount, there is no profit.
And because of the short amount in the game wallet, I can't enable high payout games.

So no, there is no minimum amount, since it allows to offer the highest payout bets, and regarding the stakes and the min transaction fee.
4213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] [PXC] Development Takeover on: October 31, 2013, 08:17:54 PM
Hello everybody Smiley

I am happy to introduce altdice to the PXC community
It's a dice game pretty much like the early version of Satoshi Dice

http://pxc.altdice.net

To play, send any amount between min bet and max bet to the address of your choice.
A number between 0 and 65535 will be selected, if this number is below the number of the game, then you win !
Your winnings are your bet amount * the Prize Multiplier.

The game is almost instant. 98% expected payout. 2% edge house.
Play max bet and win over 200 PXC!

Have a try :-)
Send 1 PXC to PuWgjtywJLZPuQ44JA98fharPwDgUfL1Kg => You have 85% chance to win this game. It pays out 1.153 your bet amount.

I wish you a lot of fun on Altdice.net !
4214  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [Loan Request] Need funds to run altdice.net - Special conditions on: October 31, 2013, 02:36:51 PM
How often will you be sending out the 50% investor profit, and how long do you expect it will take for the repayment of the principal?

I don't know. We can agree on the time frame. I already have 2 loans (for Netcoin and Incakoin). We do it every month. But I know this people for a while now, we talk on skype and they trust me. So yeah basically every month is fine for them.

I agreed with ghostlander via PM that I will keep him updated about how it goes every 2 weeks. It can be every week.

Then, about how long will the repayment take, I don't know. There is a lot of parameters like how the game does with a new type of coin, how much from the remaining 50% profit will go to loan repayment.. One thing is sure : I can always give hand the funds back upon request. :-)

I have to update the 1st post with the PXC loan details. PXC will be added to Altdice later today.

I must tell you that our next investment will be to do graphics. It can't be worse than it is now. I already have a graphist that'd do it for $1k. It's lame I can't afford that right now.

Feel free to ask me anything !
4215  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [Loan Request] Need funds to run altdice.net - Special conditions on: October 30, 2013, 10:01:36 PM
Ready to make an initial loan of 1K PXC for Altdice.net. Your conditions?

Thanks a lot !

Well, since I can't promise a fixed % during a period of time, it'll be done this way :

During the whole time of the loan, I give out 50% of the profits to investors. The profits are not repayments for the loan. This is the profit you make from loaning your coins. The remaining 50% will be used to expand the game, repay the loan and increase stakes.

After repayment of the principal, you won't receive profits anymore. See this like an easy way to get some extra coins in the long run. Smiley
I will give you back any amount upon request of that amount. I can always lower the stakes to never run out of coins.

There is no required amount, stakes are calculated accordingly to the wallet balance. With a high balance we can have high stakes, and therefore higher profits.

Here is my FXC address : PYY6rvCpSo2piviCCa8jfP84XPbSWyhHsL

I will keep you updated about how it goes on. You won't be disapointed.

http://cgb.altdice.net

Play max bet and win over 100 CGB !

Have a try :-)
Send 0.1 CGB to 5bom4GDngC31SSNawgeSVekdKbpGoSfKGC => You have 85% chance to win this game. It pays out 1.153 your bet amount.

4217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Infinitecoin - IFC | V1.8 Released! *Mandatory Upgrade, upgrade ASAP* on: October 07, 2013, 10:09:15 AM
I am happy to report that with Version 1.8 the diff retarget issue is finally fixed. I observed some attempts to drag the diff down by pushing hard the diff then suddenly remove the hash power and let the diff drop, unfortunately for them now, the attacker can never get the diff very low   Smiley

The diff retargets work perfectly now, happy mining!

Infinitecoin, infinite possibilities, and infinite opportunities!

Very happy to read that ! :-)
You did great work, fisheater. Thanks.

4219  Economy / Speculation / Re: My $145 resistance / silk road tinfoil hat conspiracy theory. on: October 02, 2013, 08:30:26 PM
Do you think this was an attempt to see how the BTC market will react while the US Gov shuts down, along with SR two days later ?
Would they do such tricks to see how "it reacts" ?

If some people can orchestrate such things as 911, they can plan to kill what could seemingly be the BTC backbone in my opinion.
Anyway I don't think $145 is strange. It was a good price for it at that time. Gold also stays in a tunnel for a while sometimes.
But I think US shutdown and SR seizure date are no coincidence.
4220  Economy / Speculation / Re: what will the price be of bitcoins in one week after take over of SR on: October 02, 2013, 07:06:37 PM
I think it can go above its previous price. There's resistance. If it recovers after this quick crash it shows that Bitcoin is kinda strong, in the end. And recovers quickly. It means that people want them. Don't forget, they're scarce. :-)

Once people get this it'll be more valuable than before this SR history..
