Lavrov stated that Russia has no intention to annex the South-Eastern territories, saying that would contradict Russia's interests: http://www.interfax.ru/russia/371105In the meantime, Iceland, Chernogorija, Albanija, Norway and Ukraine "are persuaded to" join EU sanctions against Russia, even though they are not EU members. http://1prime.ru/News/20140411/782491890.htmlThe sanctions are basically denying entry to some of the Russian and Crimean officials and robbing (sorry, freezing) their eventual assets in EU. I wonder, if Ukraine imposes sanctions, should they expect gas at all? Despite it, Russia can offer help to Ukraine on the following conditions: Constitutional reforms, elections, forming of a legitimate government with which talks can be conducted, acceptance of Crimea's decision and normalisation in the South-Eastern territories. http://ria.ru/politics/20140411/1003586970.html(Hmm... those territories were for a long time known as "South-Western", but history tends to play pranks.) Merkel (well, technically, Germany, though people there are not happy), decided to punish Russia by not selling it produce from Airbus for a total value of $973 million dollars. http://www.bfm.ru/news/254160?doctype=newsAlso, in a complete display of political schizophreny, EU confirmed that US, EU, Ukraine and Russia will conduct a summit on Ukraine in Geneve on the 17th of April: http://www.gazeta.ru/politics/news/2014/04/11/n_6077625.shtml

http://www.interfax.ru/world/371135Ukraine started moving its military hardware out of Crimea. Ship "Priluki" will go under its own steam. Two other support ships will be towed to Nikolaev. Four other ships prepare to leave under their own steam. Submarine "Zaporozh'je" already left and in Ukrainian jurisdiction. Ukraine had 70 ships in Crimea. Some of those cannot be transported and will be decommissioned and disassembled in Crimea. Ukraine also transporting out helicopter Ka-29 and plane MIG-29 on special trailers. Another plane will fly under its own power.

These guys are on serious drugs.
He should have studied Russian literature better, particularly Krylov's fables. "Mos'ka baring on elephant." Here's a picture to give you idea what I am talking about: It'll be interesting to watch the Russian army exterminating these idiots in a few days.
I don't think Czech or Russian people would be happy to fight each other, just like Ukrainians and Russians will ultimately not fight. We are both Slavs. Yes, there was that dark spot in the relation of our peoples during the Soviet period, but Czechs on the street don't see Russians as their enemies. The idiot tries to serve before his NATO masters as a court jester.

Oh.. got it. Right sector loonies sent in from Lvov. Seems like it. There was a similar incident at a vodka factory elsewhere in Ukraine. Like this line: Милиция, присутствовавшая на месте конфликта, в ситуацию не вмешивалась. Police were present during the conflict, but refrained from interfering.

Czech's president is off his rocker: http://www.rosbalt.ru/main/2014/04/11/1255954.htmlHe urges NATO secretary general Fog to conduct a pre-emptive scare action (I guess he means attack) against Russia so as to scare it away from thinking of interfering in Ukraine (and by his logic leaving the playing field in Ukraine open for NATO). One thing that he suggests is to march NATO troops into Ukraine (um, Ukraine is not in NATO, wouldn't that be an, I don't know, invasion? Oh, wait, they have the Yugoslavian precedent). As I said, he's off his rocker...

I am posting this as a separate topic, as he takes up a much wider range of problems with our world, than just the recent disinformation war, waged by the mainstream media. He covers the freedom of speech, human relations and banking system among other things. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzoptZ-u_aE

More precisely, journalist Ken Jebsen says that mass media distorts the information and brainwashing people. No one wants conflict with Russia in Germany, met media says that Germany wants a conflict. He says, the demonstration is "for" something, they are not demonstrating "against". You need not be against US and be for Russia, no. They demonstrate for peace, and not against something. He also says that he would love to interview Putin. Found his speech with English captions:http://youtu.be/xzoptZ-u_aEA very good speech. If only journalists like him could be heard. (A fun bit after 34:00)

Workers of Fish processing factory Yuzhnaja in Belgorod-Dnestrovsk (near Odessa) stormed and re-took their factory that was previously occupied by unknown people. The base of Berkut in Harkov. The banners on the gates read: "Berkut are our heroes" and "No to Facism. No to Junta. For the Customs Union (TS) and referendum"

More detailed explanation of the Ukrainian economic situation from President Putin: http://rt.com/business/putin-west-ukraine-help-948/ "The dramatic situation includes the fact that in the first quarter of this year [Ukraine] had the lowest gas prices, and even at those prices our Ukrainian partners stopped paying,” he said as April 7 was another due date for payment according to the current gas contract.
“Out of the $540 million owed, not a single dollar or ruble was paid. Absolutely nothing, zero," Putin said.

In the past four years, with all the discounts provided by Russia, Moscow claims to have subsidized Ukraine’s economy to the tune of $35.4 billion, coupled with a $3 billion loan tranche in December last year.

Prosecutor general Chaika told thepress in Simferopol that Russia sent to Interpol arrest warrant on terrorist and extremist charges for the leader of Right Sector Dmitrij Jarosh, Kryminform reports. And Interpol will ignore that. The current Secretary General is Ronald Noble, an American law enforcement officer. When Americans are the main fundraisers for Yarosh, why would they brand him as an extremist? You are in onto something: http://rt.com/politics/russia-sanctions-foreign-travel-840/“Without any reasons the US administration is refusing to recognize the reunification between Russia and Crimea that fully meets the international legal standards and the UN charter. It tries to make a routine practice out of hunting for Russian citizens in third countries with subsequent extradition and conviction in the USA, usually over dubious charges,” reads the statement posted on the Ministry’s web-site on Friday.

President Vladimir Putin says it was “strange” to learn of the US reaction on a Russian letter to the leaders of EU’s top gas-consuming nations, as it was in no way designed for Washington’s eyes.
...
“It’s a bit strange,” Putin said after Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov informed him of the US comments during a Russian Security Council meeting. “It’s strange, at any rate, as it’s bad to read other people’s letters. It wasn’t addressed to them, but the consumers of gas in Europe.”
...
“Handing out cakes at the Maidan isn’t enough to prevent the Ukrainian economy from plunging into complete chaos,” he said.
http://rt.com/news/putin-letter-us-ukraine-944/If I didn't know better, I'd say Putin is trolling US. Nice comment: Peter Anderson 11.04.2014 15:44
Putin has got a great sense of humor, he cuts through the Western hypocrisy with class. I think that is what the Western establishment hate about him. He is showing up all the western pseudo-intellectuals up for what they are.
The whole western establishment have entered the twilight zone. They want to hold onto the superiority by corrupting and dumbing down their own people, rather than by raising them up.

Berkut policemen in Harkov march under people's welcoming shouts of "Berkut! Berkut!" and "Glory to Berkut!" and " We (as in people) didn't disband (retire) you!". Just as victims of Stalin's repressions got their restoration after Stalin's death, the heroes of Berkut will yet receive their honour and restoration back once the Kiev junta is out.

This is serious. Resistance headquarters of the South-East put forth a 10-hour ultimatum to Lugansk regional government. The government must call in an extraordinary meeting of peoples deputies of Lugansk region with the aim to 1) Proclaim independent Lugans People's Republic; 2) Call for a referendum with two questions: 1. Are you for Lugansk People's Republic joining Russian Federation? 2. Are you for Lugansk People's Republic joining Ukraine? Conduct the referendum within 10 days. They also stated that they will surrender weapons to such authorities, that the citizens of Lugansk People's Republic will elect during the referendum.

Yes! Acting prime minister Yacenjuk urged the Ukrainian Parliament to introduce legal correction to make regional referendums legally possible.
I don't trust that liar Yatsenyuk. Why has he sent all those Armored Personnel Carriers and Main Battle Tanks to kill people in Donetsk? May be people in Kiev are stupid enough to trust him. This news item in English: http://rt.com/news/ukraine-protest-deadline-expires-856/The U-turn comes after Ukraine’s elite Alpha unit reportedly refused to obey an order to besiege protester-held buildings. At a session of law enforcement officials in Donetsk, one of the Alpha commanders said that he and his men are a force intended for rescuing hostages and fighting terrorism and will only act in accordance with the law, local media reported. Nice comment: Nigel Howard 11.04.2014 12:15
Good old-fashioned 'people power' stopped Yats and his criminal gang dead in their tracks. They knew there would be a bloodbath and his bosses in the west ordered him to refrain and make some jelly-belly statements about allowing regional referendums to take place. This is not just a strategic retreat but a recognition that there are really two Ukraines, one that seems to wink at the illegal junta and the other Ukraine, which wants out. Nothing the unshaven Yats, the US, EU, NATO or the stunningly beautiful Victoria Nuland, can really do to stop it either. That train has already left the station.

too bad they missed her ! Oh.. many more chances are forthcoming. If I was in the throwers place, I'd have used a stone instead of the shoe. A shoe bares more historic and political weight.

they must show the world they can defend themself against kiev dictator junta
But they don't have any Armoured personnel carriers or Main battle tanks to fight the Kiev regime. They only have sticks and Molotov cocktails. Don't know how they will be able to stand up against a well armed army. By hoping that the well-armed army consist for the most part of the same guys as they are, and that mothers and fathers of those boys in the army might well be on the barricades.

This was fun. This guy basically got called by a Ukrainian bank demanding rent payments on his mortgage. So the guy said, that when he signed the contract, he also singed an insurance, where one of the clauses states that insurance company pays his debt in full if he ends up in a war zone. According all official Ukrainian TV channels, Crimea is a war zone with Russian troops in it, so the bank should direct all the questions to the insurance company. The bank rep hang up and didn't call back. The guy thanks Ukrainian TV for his economic liberation from Ukraine.
