Questions like this depend on your investment timeframe, and how much risk you're willing to onboard. Without knowing these things it isn't something that can be answered cleanly.

Instead of looking at the individuals investment timeframes, you should be rather interested in the investment itself. As I see it, once you invest into something, it means you have forfeited your money and no longer should be eyeing the candle chart on a daily basis.

Cashing out is reserved for only when you have profits.

Everything else is just gambling.

I believe that such streamers have no place in our society. It is a pity that at present there is no real working tool to limit their advertising activities, which bring losses to gullible subscribers. Apparently, until we ourselves begin to protect the interests of society as a whole, such advertising activities cannot be eradicated.
While I have also a problem with streamers like that at the same time we must remember that no one but ourselves is going to care about our money and the way we use it, it is obvious that kind of advertising strategy is predatory but if it exists it is because it works, so people need to find a way to protect themselves and not fall victim of such advertising, and in a way this is very easy to do, do not rely in advertising which is so obvious about its nature, instead try to look for sources that are as objective as possible, and one of the best places to obtain information like that is our forum.

The predatory advertising strategies like that only work because nobody is currently calling them out on it. We should have an accusation subforum for predators just like we have a subforum for scammers (aka scam accusations).

Once people start calling them out on their behaivor, we will see a huge change. But until then, we are stuck trying to get to the naive youngsters before they do.

And this is like it can't be denied anymore. The fact that Crypto should be decentralized for a long time fading. It is not at the same time disappearing or being centralized. But the latest regulations are designated for companies related to Crypto.
And even the current global Exchange is also a target for certain state or party regulations.
The new regulations that are getting stricter are indeed aimed at companies engaged in crypto, which manage crypto assets. Currently, major exchanges have enforced mandatory KYC to find out who the crypto holder is, so that adherents of high privacy levels will be a little disturbed.
Global exchanges must follow the latest regulations provided in order to operate smoothly.
regulation is evolving, but crypto will still be a decentralized asset and will not be a fully centralized asset (even though the government is trying to regulate everything).

I think the newest developments in crypto (DAOs like Defi) are going to make it hard for the governments to regulate anything. And I think that is beautiful. No matter how
hard the government is trying to control us, we and our freedoms will always be out of reach.

I really hope it will stay that way.

You can start to analyze the top 100 coins lists to find what coin will be good for you as your investment because we can give the coin name lists but if you do not research, that will be a waste for you.
What we suggest can not always work for you so I think you need to search by yourself and determine how much money you can invest in each coin.
From that top 100 coins lists, I am sure you can find more than 5 good coins you can buy, especially if the price is still at a low price.
That needs time to find those coins but that is worth doing that.

Top 100? I would say more like no more than top 10. Most coins after top 10 are not even worth considering and are mostly trash. I also would not go for anything with low volume. But you can check out coinmarketcap for more detailled information on that.

Either way it will be a gamble. Just less risky for top 10 than coin nr. 99.
3565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake bets on: October 17, 2021, 04:10:14 PM
If I'm not wrong when you go with your own registered account, you need to pay taxes. For this reason many people prefer KYC free platforms. Most of the time these Kind of fake bets can be seen on the no KYC platforms. Until one is registered, they'll be provided with some small bonus requesting to complete KYC. These users at times suffer, as they won't be able to claim any issues. Fake bets were a way to make users do KYC, because users are now aware about the winning probabilities of different gambling platforms.

Well, I think it is quite obvious, that if a website is going to not follow the law and find shady ways to do business, then its obvious they will be doing more things which are not trustworthy.

KYC is a bit of a double edged sword. It protects both the website owners and the people putting their money into that website. So if something goes wrong, its easy to prove whos money it was and who took it.

But then again, not everyone likes paying taxes or giving away private data.

Please guys help me suggest coins to buy. I’m a student and I don’t really know much about crypto but I need the money for financial freedom and help my dad cover some of my school costs. Please guys.

Don't put money that you can't afford into something just because you hope to make a quick buck. Thats relying only on luck and in the short run will only worsen your current situation.

You should get a job and when you have spare money on the side, thats the money you use for investments. Everything else is going to put you in debt, at worst in a debt hole you will not easily come out of. Roll Eyes

try participating in bounties if you want to earn some coin.
3567  Economy / Economics / Re: When you sell is no longer "yours" on: October 16, 2021, 12:38:54 PM
Selling is and always will be for weak hands. How much money do you need to lose before you realise its worth hodling? Bitcoin itself has a deflationary nature even though it have wild price swings coming from the speculative side.

But whatever, I guess some people are just doomed to be poor from a lack of brainpower. But I am sure they will buy back in at the top. Only to sell again at the bottom.
Fine by me, that way, more fiat goes into bitcoin and raises its value for the smartest hodlers.
3568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: have you ever play or won from a crypto exchange lottery? on: October 16, 2021, 12:35:00 PM
Oh boy Roll Eyes I thought it was 57k cake. But alright I guess 500 bucks is 500 bucks. I still wouldnt buy lottery tickets for a chance at winning because its not really fun to me. What is the point in lotterys anyway? At least with gambling games its fun to play and gives you a satisfaction from winning. If pancakeswap wanted to show people how serious they are why don't they make the prizes a bit higher?

Grin
3571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba is worth the risk on: October 15, 2021, 08:48:12 AM

It amazes me how people can't see a literal pump and dump coin when they look at the chart. Shiba is basically a worse Dogecoin, which in itself is a pump and dump, from my subjective view.

Vitalik dumped the Shiba Inu that nobody thought he would dump. That just shows that even the founder of Ethereum has absolutely no respect for pump and dump coins like Shiba.

I would stay away and trade coins that have actual use and more thought behind it.
3572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the most popular bitcoin-only poker sites? on: October 15, 2021, 08:44:07 AM
I can't believe that there are people who really play online casinos.

There's a huge number of online casino players, especially during this pandemic where there are restrictions and gamblers couldn't go to physical casinos. It might not sound as loud as the traditional casinos but online casinos are actually providing convenience for most players. We're now in the modern days where we could find everything online.

I don't know. The marketing tactic or allure of physical casinos can't really be compared to online casinos. With physical casinos, you are using more of your senses. Its not just typing/clicking on your keyboard but so in some physical casinos you can see and touch your winnings.

It makes a big difference, psychologically. Its like that psychological thing where you spend more money online than you would if you had the physical cash in your hands. It just feels less real therefore, worth less.

Huh

3576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alt Coins to buy with 200$ on: October 14, 2021, 06:47:13 PM
I would suggest going on coinmarketcap and only checking out the top 10 (by market cap and trading volume). Don't put all your money into the same basket, though. An amazing looking altcoin may drop to nothing from one day to another. Look carefully at the community, what is going wrong, what they are doing right and historical data, so you can rule out pump and dump coins without any real use/need like doge. Kiss
3577  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Idee: neues Unterforum für Exchanges on: October 14, 2021, 06:43:35 PM

Grin
3578  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitvest is a scam on: October 14, 2021, 05:56:12 PM
Probably there's a reason for all of that? Bitvest is one of the most known gambling site here, probably you should post some proofs, screenshots and other evidences rather than just ranting here since we don't understand you at all but if you believed that they scam you the scam accusation section is always open for you https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0

You realise the avatar you have on right now at this moment, you are advertising for a known scammer? Yet you still choose to advertise for them. I wonder if you even believe your own writing on this forums.... Roll Eyes

Anyway, I wouldn't take advice on who to trust from people who willingly choose to support known scammers and liars. Although I do agree that anyone who wants to check out a project or website should do so in the scam accusation thread as well as at least a google search...
3579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have any real value? on: October 14, 2021, 05:47:41 PM
Well, if you absolutely need it to be backed by something physical, I would say the electricity that is produced and used for mining bitcoin is quite physical. Other than that, people have traded their fiat (which is supposedly backed by gold) in for bitcoin
Bitcoin is backed by the mining equipments - ASICs, the cost to set up and do maintenance for mining farms, power cost. They are real inputs to mine Bitcoin so the value of Bitcoin is real and backed by several real things physically.

Bitcoin is backed by the blockchain technology and its network is actually decentralized that makes it better than many other crypto blockchains.

That is exactly right! It's backed by physical things like mining equipment, electricity, fiat money, maintenance, and much more! I just don't understand when people claim that there is nothing backing Bitcoin.

Don't people understand the value of things, even if they aren't things you can touch with your own hands and see with your own eyes?

Once you put a value into something, like Bitcoin, the Bitcoin itselfs gains value... Lips sealed
3580  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We enter a new era of heavy regulations on: October 13, 2021, 06:06:54 PM
The next step of regulation as I see it, is whitelisting. Soon anyone who has a "dirty bitcoin", which isn't direcly tied to the kyc of an entity, might find themselves stuck, unable to sell it or trade with it.
However how exactly they can pull that off, remains to be seen. I kind of doubt that regulators will have that kind of control over decentralised apps and finance. At most they can only regulate the custodians and intermediarys.

This would maybe benefit poor countries or countries that refuse to bow down to the US. Perhaps your coins could still prove to be useable in their own cryptospaces.
