Haven't really been keeping up with bitcointalk, what's been going on with these guys? IceDrill was supposed to be at 1Ph and now they're at 50Th/s? What % of hardware have these guys shipped, would you estimate?

Did you see the posts where a Hashfast employee was giving out fake names in sales calls to prospective customers and using the same phone number to make HashFast sales calls as they did to book appointments for their prostitution side business?  That tells you about everything you need to know.

I'm going to close orders for now ... no further orders will be accepted until the current ones are filled and stock is built back up.

I just shipped the last boards we had ready to roll. We're gonna finish out the run before opening orders again. It'll be at least a week, maybe more.

Just saw these on eBay...

Looks like someone is reselling or selling a clone of BitHack's design for $80 or $125 for a full kit!

Whelp, anyone hoping Bitmain would match the 1.1BTC price from AvalonShenzhen will be disappointed that won't likely happen now that they've cut and run with everyone's BTC.

Ha, is that the same Avalon that ripped a bunch of people off back in 2013 back for another shakedown?

If anyone is in need of a good hub I put my ten port up on eBay the other day I was running 10x Block Erupters off it with the stock power supply w/o issue.

I'm running this from a ware house so I have fitted a heat extractor for the room.
I am curious though do a lot of people run multiple units from home? As then I would see there be an issue with overloading your house supply?

Yeah, on the plus side if you have enough Ants you can turn off your furnace in the winter months.
366  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 4 x Antminer S1 on 2 Corsair PSU with uprated fans. on: February 14, 2014, 09:13:11 PM
I've had one of the stock fans fail.
Yes I had read they could cope with more then the 750 so they are within operating limits with the 4 ants.
I'm drawing 1680 Watts at the wall according to my monitor.

As they don't keep the ants cool enough even running at 190-200 gh they are only at about 34 with the new fans, I run two fans in case one cuts out, thus the ants don't cook them selves.
Also i'm not to sure how reliable they are, I've chosen a fan that I know is regularly used on servers and has a good reliability track record.

you have done a nice job on temp control!

But you are overloading your psu. and 1680 watts is not acceptable on a 15 amp 120 volt circuit for 24/7/365 work.

15 amp x 120 volt =1800 watts x 80 percent = 1440 watts

1680 on a 15 amp circuit = bad bad bad

and running your psu to redline is also bad  bad bad  bad.

I smell melting rubber bro!  but I really like the cooling ideas the rack is also nice

If you go back and read he says he is only powering two Ants off of each 750 PSU so I'm pretty sure his 1600 number is for 4x Ants and 2x PSUs plus a PSU to power the fans.

Hello  Wink

Limited S1 units will be in sotck soon.
Open sales on Feb 14th 11:00 pm BeiJing time, GMT +8.
Shipment within 48 hours after full payment.

sold out again Wink
all orders will be shipped out on Feb.16.

next batch of S1 units will be stock on Feb 15th, open sales on Feb 15th 11:00 pm BeiJing time, GMT +8.

Sold out my ass.
There were a hundred people here constantly refreshing and trying to order one and nobody got the chance to.

Will there really be more for sale tomorrow?
And if there is at what price?

Because ordering tomorrow doesn't get in our possession until Thursday (if we are lucky) but by then the difficulty has increased.
The same goes for the ones who supposedly ordered all of the machines today.

How are the Ants going to make ROI from now on?

Looks like the US Distributor still has some in stock https://www.112bit.com/

That hasn't been my experience.  The speed of the stock fans is controlled by Ant's controller board based on the reading from the on board temp sensor.  The stock fans never even run at top speed in my experience you can test this by unplugging the fan control cable and your fan will accelerate to top speed which is considerably higher than it's normal speed.

At any rate, it's your money but I don't see any reason to believe there is a benefit to this.
369  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 4 x Antminer S1 on 2 Corsair PSU with uprated fans. on: February 14, 2014, 05:43:45 PM
Operating at peak load I would expect a CX750 to draw 937 Watts at the wall or 1875 for two of them.

The 750Watt rating is power supplied to the attached devices and CX750's are rated to be 80% efficient so 750/.8 = 937.5 Watts at the wall when operating at peak load.

Why do you think these fans are better than the stock fans?
370  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: February 14, 2014, 04:54:14 PM
So are they clearing out inventory of the S1 for their next generation stuff?  Has there been any info posted on future products or if any are planned?
371  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (500 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: February 11, 2014, 08:14:13 PM
Check out the linked Google spreadsheet it looks like they have an order in for CoinTerra machines.  I take the lines about engaging a lawyer to mean they haven't been able to reach any agreement with HashFast yet.

To clarify, "Cointerra Stocks" are actual shares held of Cointerra and not machines.

Interesting, so IceDrill is an investor in CoinTerra?  Is that a recent development?
372  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (500 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: February 11, 2014, 03:42:43 AM
We currently have in our possession 48 Sierras (most of them running under specs with roughly 35% of non working units running at total of roughly 48-54 Thash. We have an additional 34 Sierras to be plugged in and stabilized.

This statement has me confused...
  • Are you saying you actually have a total of 82 Sierras in your possession right now? -48 operational & 34 offline
  • "most running under spec", "about 35% non working units" ..I hate to argue semantics, but since 'most' = >50%, are you suggesting 35% are under spec, or that 35% are not running at all?
  • And even if all 48 Sierras are operational, 48-54Th is only marginally below spec with each unit clocking 1.2Th; How far below your anticipated spec are we for the units that are online?
  • Why are these additional 34 Sierras not running; were they received so recently you haven't had the chance to get them up yet, or are you waiting to stabilize the mine?
  • How many total units are you waiting for delivery of before the order with HF is considered fulfilled?

Further questions...
  • Since the average Joe IceDrill shareholder isn't privileged to know the details of the compensation received from HF, WHEN might that information be made available?
  • Hypothetically speaking, would IceDrill management ever consider dealing with another HW vendor going forward since HF is not only failing to deliver the full number of units in a timely manner, but also ~3+ months late and under spec?
  • Since it seems likely it will take over a year before investments can be paid back at .0016BTC per share (depending upon compensation conditions), are private investors still relegated to wait until public shares are paid back according to the terms of the original agreement, or has that item now been amended?

Most importantly...
  • What is the time frame that investors can hope to see the first wave of dividends?
...I'd imagine more definitive clarity on mine status and some actual dividends paid out may be good before the share trading platform is actually rolled out. Just a thought.

Thanks for your time and efforts DT & Will.

I'll close way off-color by saying, FUCK SCAMFAST IN THEIR FUCKING MOUTHS.

373  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: February 06, 2014, 04:13:34 PM

they certainly like a pre mine they do....

Who cares about so called "pre-mining" as long as they deliver in good working order on the date specified.  It isn't like if the things had just sat around they would be more valuable.  Pre-mining is only a problem in cases like BFL where they say they will deliver on date X and then end up delivering on X+Y because they were pre-mining  for Y days while not giving the customer any refund.
374  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: February 06, 2014, 12:08:57 AM

Interesting reading. Thanks, Pete (and good luck with your own lawsuit).

Also interesting is that the case was filed on Dec. 2nd 2013 and BFL has been aware of it since early Dec.  Also according to the court documents, they knew that their mailing address was wrong in early December which is why they weren't receiving notices when they were getting sued by that other guy in small claims court back in November.  Wasn't that one BFL guy in this thread throughout Dec. claiming he didn't know why they never heard about it?  He is either incredibly incompetent or a pathological liar.
375  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: February 05, 2014, 11:40:28 PM
Looks like BFL's shady behavior is finally catching up with them...

376  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CAMPBX ACH on: February 05, 2014, 11:24:35 PM
Anyone used the USPS Money Order withdrawal before?

Nope.  I'd be really interested to know if there are any caveats.  For example I was under the impression that a person could only purchase a maximum of 10k worth of money orders per day and $1,000 per money order.  If that is the case then CampBX is almost certainly limited to 10k * Number_of_Employees / day in total withdrawals.

377  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: February 05, 2014, 05:20:08 PM
shipping could be a nightmare come next week....

I hope they know what they are doing. Time will show.

Does that 750W even have 4 separate PCI-e connectors?

Yes. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341052

The CX750's have 4 PCIe connectors but they are doubled up on only 2 sets of wiring so if you plan to max out the power draw realistically you should be careful not to burn your wires.  A couple pages back there is a photo from someone who burned up the wires on their CX600 which has two connectors on one set of wires.
378  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 31, 2014, 06:51:22 PM

Any indication that is actually him and not just a guy with the same name or someone who thought it would be funny to make an account by that name?

Look at his post in the IceShill thread, it sure looks like he is informed about HF:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=269216.msg4858348#msg4858348

Yeah, I saw that.   A lot of the other posts from that account seem immature and unprofessional though seems like a bone headed move for the CEO of a company under so much scrutiny to be acting like that.

got coupons for 0.02BTC per machine in the last 1.9BTC batch!   A little bit smaller than the 0.2BTC coupons before Wink

Hahah.  Well that's better than a kick in the butt.

Let me know if anyone wants to donate/trade their .02 btc coupon to me.

Looks like Bitmain dropped the price to 1.45 btc per Antminer.  Just logged into their website.

Let the "butt hurt" whining begin!!  I'm sure there will be a lot of howling from those who just purchased.

Maybe I'm missing something obvious but, how do you use the coupons?

Edit: I was, there is a drop down menu on the checkout page that lets you select coupons.
