361  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Doubt] (Powered by bitcoin) Bookmakers accepting SUMO Wrestling stakes? on: May 03, 2014, 08:21:46 AM
How much are you looking to wager? Per bet? How often? Desired minimum / maximum limits?

If you can find a reputable book, cash, bitcoin, or whatever that has odds for sumo wrestling or any odd sport, I can accept your bets but the juice will be higher of course unless already really high. Like if the odds were -110 / -110 on the book you find sumo wrestling, best I could do would be -116/-116. If its -120/-120 on the book you find, I could do -120/-120 too.

If you would be wagering daily or multiple times a week, we could set up an escrow to hold 5 or 10x the maximum amount you plan on betting and settle weekly or whatever.

The above^^^ goes for anyone  Smiley I like the occasional gamble on crazy sports like Aussie Rules for example, so if you got a crazy sport let me know and I'll see what I can do.
That's an interesting offer, as long as escrow is used for each and every bet.

sumo wrestling does sound like something fun to bet on and watch.
Im pretty sure many of the sports sites would host that bet happily, where do you watch the matches ? got a link to a stream ?

Been a fan of sumo wrestling ever since watching blood sport (hehe i know, not accurate at all etc etc).
There used to be free streaming before.

But now we have only some "pay-per-view" as you can notice here:

363  Economy / Gambling / [Doubt] (Powered by bitcoin) Bookmakers accepting SUMO Wrestling stakes? on: May 02, 2014, 05:56:17 AM
Does anyone know or ever heard about some Bookmakers that accepts SUMO Wrestling wagers?

Couldn't find any nowadays, but I think it would be an interesting (bitcoin powered) gambling option...

BTW it's even hard to find traditional bookers with SUMO added as an alternative sport to bet.
364  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BTCJam - Peer to Peer Bitcoin Lending on: April 28, 2014, 07:15:49 AM
Ladies and Gentlemen,

As BTCJam is the long living P2P Bitcoin Lending service survivor, I think there's still few volume there.

So I suggested some implementations that might attract some more visitors, borrowers, lenders and increase the volume as well.

I've just added to their "Ideas and Feedback" section. Please vote for it: https://btcjam.uservoice.com/forums/175861-general/suggestions/5849774-add-the-option-collateral-requirements-borrower

[IDEA]

Quote
Add the option "Collateral Requirements". Borrower must supply collateral before receiving a loan.

Where:

# If option is chosen, Borrower must supply collateral before receiving a loan;

# Collateral must be in the form of other (liquid and high volume traded) cryptocurrencies e.g.: Litecoin, Peercoin and Namecoin (acording to www.coinmarketcap.com & www.btc-e.com);

# The amount of collateral will be (at least) the same (converted to BTC at that time) as borrower is asking for;

# BTCJam will escrow the collateral once sent by borrower as garantee;

# If all payments are "honored", BTCJam releases the collateral back to borrower;

# If the loan is defaulted, BTCJam uses the collateral to refund lenders;

Note #1: Borrowers that mark that option and apply for collateral requirements would get higher rating/score.

Note #2: Lenders would get lower risk while lending coins to those customers.

Note #3: demand and supply may increase as more garantees are offered.

Note #4: maybe in the future, small valuable items that can be shipped though the mail might be used as collateral and held as escrow - e.g. gold, silver, diamonds etc. Maybe even "Digital securities"; "Financial securities" (stocks, bonds, options, futures, etc. anything that can be transferred via one of the standard brokerages); "Gift cards" Gyft (gyft.com), Amazon, Target, Walmart, etc. "Digital property".
Those are just some hints in order to help enabling all kinds of collateral.

Warning: Paypal should never be used as collateral. Escrow can't even help, as paypal charge backs can come 6 months later!

Personal note: Collateral is a massive factor in loans nowadays and if that idea would be adopted someday, the rating/score system should change to reflect that.

Well, I do not think so.

Our friend Mr. Dabs did that lotto variation before. Search for "Low Hash Lotto" here.

We're trying to test different variations of it in order to test games that are not so -EV (negative expected value) for gamblers to play.

As said previously: this is just an experiment... Smiley

Well my 0.4 coins got stolen by someone else. FML.  I told the OP to have dooglus mediate this one (who is probably the most trusted person in bitcoin) but he sent them back to the hot wallet (which I said was a bad idea) where they were picked up by some random.

I'm done with this game now after this round and my current bid. I realize that even though I did mostly fuck up, it was extremely easy to right and simple customer support issues should be resolved correctly or else there's bound to be future issues which I personally don't want to deal with. But gl to anyone else.
I've contacted dooglus in order to find a way to solve your problem.

I think a nice website would really help the bets pickup....
Maybe in the future. We're just testing this idea in it's earlier stages.

Thanks for the suggestion.

That's what is stated above (FAQ). Although I'd rather treat it as an exception than take it as a general rule.

It makes things simpler and easier!  Wink

Bought them all but sent it from the wrong address and in bulk by mistake... 15ieHJ7eK5gJ5dfeZiWCz5bGkFJS52Pomy  is the address where they were meant to come from and I could have dooglus from just-dice verify this if you need to.
Exceptionally, I'll refund the last 2 transactions to their respective sent addresses.

Please read the FAQ section (OP) where it is written:

Quote
How is the refund policy?

Payments sent after the deadline will be refunded to the same original sent address (a tx fee of .0001 BTC will be deducted) after the draw.
P.s.: all sent amount different than the multiple of one entry ticket price (.1 BTC) will be considered as donation to the jackpot (not generating additional tickets) and won't be available for refund anymore.

[...]

I wanna buy two or more tickets. May I buy all of them in one single transaction?

I ask you not to do it in one transaction because it changes the hash calculation method. But if you (stubbornly) still do it, I'll have to add numbers to you transaction id hash in order to generate the tickets.

i.e.: you buy 5 tickets with one single transaction and you get a hash transaction of "TXID". Then I'll add the numbers of tickets bought by you after it.

TXID01; TXID02; TXID03; TXID04 and TXID05.

When hashing (draw): sha256sum(TXID00SECRET1SECRET2)

[Update]

Refund sent as stated before...

Thank you Dabs for posting additional detailed info.

For those new to this kind of Provably Fair game, take a look at Dabs own experiment.

The URL is posted right at the end of OP as reference.

Additional note: no one knows who the winner will be, but buying more tickets increase your winning probability for a specific round to get the pot!  Wink

Good luck for everybody!

I just figure it out now: Peerbet.org changed hands again.

That's interesting!

I wish Casinobitcoin's team brings back the golden ages of it once again!

Cheers!

I'm confused, is this confirmed set up in a way where the site operator cannot know who will win in the future?
It is set up in a way that:

1st: there's your Transaction ID hash that in no way I can predict what will it be.

2st: I have one secret that only I know which is and I do not reveal it to anyone before draw. You cannot predict it.

3rd: There's a (future) secret at "Little Bit at a Time" that you and I are unable to know before it is revealed (after the round is over here).

Those are the (unpredictable) processes in order to generate the final (unpredictable) hashes to pick a winner.

What happens if we don't get enough ticket buyers?
Do not bother! In that specific case all tickets bought will be refunded to the same original sent address (a tx fee of .0001 BTC will be deducted).
