That thread no dey in anyway associated with FIFA so FIFA never adopt Bitcoin if not e for dey all over the news.

Na the thing be that. Maybe our brother Agbe deh mistake individual participation of FIFA officials for  that thread to represent the complete FIFA as an organization. But you don clear the matter for every body now.

I deh support Ukraine. Make FIFA just make sure say them carry that cup. Abeg before anybody come say I no know wetin deh sub say Ukraine no follow, I know all that. I don see where this kind thing happen before. For dream. The team no play but them win gold medal.
362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How are Online casino's and sports betting platforms coping? on: November 21, 2022, 07:49:17 AM
While I don't think the current economic situation is hitting casinos as hard as other kind of businesses.

It is expected that casinos will continue to do well whenever the economy is bad as people continue to gamble thinking it will bring them solution. World economies will never get good and buoyant for every body. There are those that will be left out. This is why casinos and gambling outfits will continue to exist. Every business that is not about putting money in other people's pockets will suffer whenever the economy gets bad. But not casinos. The only thing that can make casinos suffer is government policy.
363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Qatar bribed 8 players from Ecuador for the opening match on: November 21, 2022, 07:02:25 AM
Also, I think there is a very high probability that it is a fake news made to influence betting predictions. Legal investigation should be initiated against whoever made this claim.

There is always a little truth in every rumour. We should not conclude it is a fake news. FIFA should look into that accusation eventhough Qatar lost the opening match to those they were accused of attempting to bribe. I believe something went on there and should be investigated and not swept off like that. It will be really bad for Qatar if they are guilty of it. It is not enough to reject alcohol while you commit other immoral acts.
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WOW, WHY AM I SO HAPPY 😍 on: November 20, 2022, 10:23:50 PM
The bull run is here. ALTCOINS are going to blow up soon.. Happy to see some of my alts I bought on FAMEEX are just pumping. Matic and optimism just making me smile this morning

Do not be surprised when your altcoins start dumping because that is the nature of cryptocurrency. It is even happening right now and I guess your tokens are also affected. As for Matic, I want to hope it will continue to do well despite the bearish situation in the market. Matic has several new projects that are on queue for its chain and we shall see that effect on its market price soon.
365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important is fiat to Bitcoin? on: November 20, 2022, 09:17:39 PM
Lately, I've seen so many bitcoin holders speak so badly of fiat and how much they wouldn't want to associate themselves with fiat usage if possible,

That is not right. They do not have to force it to happen because that will mean they are fighting for bitcoin to remain relevant but are forcing fiat to die off. If things are seen that way it will be partiality, not just only with bitcoin but every other aspect of life. We have to allow this things happen naturally so we can pick the best among them.
366  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is the world turning into?? on: November 20, 2022, 07:18:59 PM
Not too long ago, I saw a video of a 12yr old girl on social media happily displaying her baby bump, and I was like WTF???

WTF really? That is child pregnancy. 12 yr old is still a minor. How is it even possible for a 12year old to get pregnant? I will like to read that story if you still have a link to where you read it. I hope it is not in Africa it happened because we have alot of teenage pregnancies. Some even abandon the babies once they put to bed but I haven't seen or heard of any that is that young. 12years is still a child.

368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How are Online casino's and sports betting platforms coping? on: November 20, 2022, 04:09:13 PM

People take to gambling when the economy becomes tough like we have everywhere in the country now. They think gambling creates more and easy chances of making money and they go patronising them.
Let's just hope that people don't think like that of using gambling to make money because it's really hard to do.

But this is the reason why people go into gambling and no one can deny it. They believe gambling will make them come into new wealth so they can have an easy life style with alot of women chasing them and enough booze to go round for them. Women love wealth, cars, wine, they love good material and flashy things. This is what money can do. And those who take to gambling to achieve that easy money do not often get lucky. Rather the little they have is taken away from them by the casinos through losses.
369  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Where would Twitter go after its takeover by Elon Musk ? on: November 20, 2022, 03:25:14 PM
When I anticipated Twitter's demise, I had not factored in the employees packing up their bags and leaving the company to rot now that they had to actually do work instead of being paid to chat. I can only assume this will accelerate the downfall.

If they haven't been doing actual work then it wouldn't matter if they leave. Have you been reading too much of Elon's self-aggrandizing tweeterage? Now that's a person who needs to "chat" less and work more. Starting from figuring out how a company he paid $40 billion of OPM for actually functions.

Maybe Elon gets his inspiration from chatting. It was the same thing Trump did while he was president of the USA, always on Twitter chatting and alot of people thought he should not be chatting because he was president and as a president it was beneath him to do so. Now we know how those people were wrong. Old Joe who does not chat much can not outperform chatty Trump.
370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Qatar bribed 8 players from Ecuador for the opening match on: November 20, 2022, 12:35:31 PM
we can expect from this world cup to be the most corrupt event in the Soccer history.

It is going to be the most controversial world cup event held, not just corrupt. I said controversial because there are going to be more revelations on what the country does not want or what it wants FIFA to do more. Already we heard about the ban on alcohol at the world cup by Qatar. It feels it can do anything it wants because it has the ticket and the world cup starts today. Qatar knows FIFA can not back out now even when the conditions are not favourable to them.
371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to prevent cheating in a game on: November 19, 2022, 06:55:08 AM
I could remember back then as kids we get carried away in any game that we play due to the excitement we derive from the game, therefore we look for a way to cheat in other to win the game.

What you said there is typical playing games with friends and maybe with family members. I did it also as a teenager and it was purely for fun, especially with WHOT, dice, Ludo and other flip games. It is fun doing that but most times it did not involve money. With modern type of gambling and casinos, it will not be easy to cheat fellow players. Instead it is the casinos that can cheat players.
372  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Where would Twitter go after its takeover by Elon Musk ? on: November 19, 2022, 06:37:08 AM

What is happening at Twitter now is expected. You do not expect someone like Elon Musk to spend such a huge amount of cash on an app and not dictate what will happen there or fire some people, especially those who he felt prevented free press. Twitter will be in a better position with Elon running its control than it was. More changes are expected in time to come too.

It's almost inevitable for Elon Musk to be a dictator in some way. To be honest, I don't care whether dictatorship is good or not generally. As long as it does work in its own way, I have no problem. If all the changes have continued in a good way, Twitter will be great.

Whatever Elon Musk does with Twitter should not be seen as dictatorship. Anyone who feels that it is will only be hurting himself. It is his money and business and he should do whatever it takes to keep it going. If staff feel they are not happy with his decision they can leave on their own or get fired. There is no one that can put that type of cash on an investment and want to be soft with decisions. Businesses are not conducted like that or else it will collapse.
373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How are Online casino's and sports betting platforms coping? on: November 19, 2022, 04:20:15 AM
How do you think online casinos and sports betting platforms are adjusting to manage the situation?

People take to gambling when the economy becomes tough like we have everywhere in the country now. They think gambling creates more and easy chances of making money and they go patronising them. There are new casinos and gambling sites springing up everyday and I guess this present hardship helps their businesses.
374  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: November 18, 2022, 06:07:48 PM
I don't think, such thing will happen again come 2023, because the U.S government has given a sound warning to Nigeria leaders who used to come to their country to do business
Bros I beg no dey talk like say u no dey this country na USA won come stop this desperate politicians dem not to rig election, is like u dey forget say rigging of election na only wetin Nigeria don dey practice since no be free and fair election. USA just dey talk make e b say as world power them talk.

Even me too deh shocked when Zanab247 talk that thing say America go intervene for our election. That one no fit happen because America too know wetin sovereignty means. Except during war that they can rush in, without that every country deh respect the other sovereignty o. The highest thing weh America fit do na to send election observers and then write bad report if them think say e no go well free and fair. Our election na our own. We no supposed slack or rely on America or any foreign bodies to help us control bad leadership in Naija.
375  Other / Meta / Re: [CHARTS] Brief monthly overview of the local boards activity on: November 18, 2022, 09:52:09 AM
Reminder that communities marked with * (Pakistan, Nigerian, Bangladesh) don't have their own local boards yet, with the hope that will change soon.

And we expect the change to be sooner than its time. Those yet to be made local boards have busy activities and theymos should look into them, especially Nigeria. We have healthy discussions and topics going on in our local thread. We are a country that loves Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. Again, following up this monthly reports with the tables has made me know some of the members here and their countries of origins. Keep it up Rikafip.
376  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Where would Twitter go after its takeover by Elon Musk ? on: November 18, 2022, 09:30:20 AM
Elon Musk acquired Twitter about two weeks agao and Twitter has been All the news everywhere. His bold moves of firing a big portion of staff, changing major Twitter features and making more modifications are spurring waves of controversy. His supporters and adversaries are quite in fights. Where will Elon Musk lead Twitter ? Is Twitter heading to a wrong direction ?

What is happening at Twitter now is expected. You do not expect someone like Elon Musk to spend such a huge amount of cash on an app and not dictate what will happen there or fire some people, especially those who he felt prevented free press. Twitter will be in a better position with Elon running its control than it was. More changes are expected in time to come too.
377  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Slave soldiers? on: November 18, 2022, 07:31:24 AM
However I would like to ask you guys if you consider a forced conscript pretty much the same as a slave.

Every citizen has a civic duty to defend its country during wars, whether they are soldiers or not. Those who try to run away during wars are cowards. If you do not fight to defend the territory of your country against outsiders because you do not want to die, what about those who defend it and not get killed in the process? Not everybody dies during wars. If everyone runs away during wars who will be there to defend the country? Everyone who does not want to be conscripted during a war should be jailed. They are cowards who love comfort more than freedom. Conscription is not slavery.
378  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Ukraine win the war with NATO's covert assistance? on: November 18, 2022, 06:11:51 AM

This is a war and not a video game. Nobody wins when a war is involved. All the parties involved gets hurt one way or the other. Whether Ukraine joins NATO officially or not, the world knows that NATO countries have been aiding Ukraine in the war with Russia since it started. What I guess will happen now is that Russia is more likely to transfer its aggression to other countries and attack them with biological weapons. We are in for the worse now.
379  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: November 17, 2022, 07:54:36 PM
This election go rugged oh because manipulation go choke due some of the aspirants they desperate for that position people like Asiwaju wey talk say na him turn to rule

Pa Yekini Amoda Bola Tinubu sabi say Nigeria na cruise and nobody deh ready to tackle any corruption na him make am still deh struggle to enter Aso Rock. If not that one wetin concern man weh him hands and legs deh shake for election. Nothing about Tinubu weh deh genuine, from his fake name to schools he said he attended. Nothing at all.

God abeg  see faces and date of birth wey they put for them the thing no match at all, and if you look this matter now na from north na were problem they always they be that them they always they easy to manipulate due to high poverty make we see waiting go happen next year sha.

Na north all that one come from and na so them use am against Jonathan for 2015 election and Jonathan no fit talk. But wetin deh vex me be as no politician from other regions want probe and condemn that thing. All of them just deh keep quiet and things deh bad go.
380  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think Father's don't Love their children? on: November 17, 2022, 07:37:44 PM
Generally, women spend more time with their children in the family, while men work outside, the feeling in the children's heart is that whoever spends a long time with them will feel that whoever loves them more, and fathers are generally strict in life, and children may be afraid.

This is not true for all women. Some women stay more at work than they stay at home while there are men who work from home. These men spend more time with their children at home. Times have changed, and it is no longer women always staying at home while men go to work. Both sexes go to work now. Whichever parent stays at home should be a decision both of them should come together and make.

You are right but you will agree with me that 60% of women in the world today spend more time at home with their children than men because men are seen as the breadwinners in the family so they are always not seen at home with their children unlike the women who have more preferential treatment even at work than the men who may experience more late time in closing from their workplaces.

Do you have any statistics to back up your claim of the 60 percentage you have there or it is just another assumption of what you think is happening? Did you conduct any interview or survey to determine that? Even with the figure, I guess you are only referring to the underdeveloped nations because in first world countries there are no gender barriers. Everyone who can work earns and are breadwinners. This believe of women not  working was the case in Africa ten years ago when our mothers were called housewives. Today, it is not that way. Most women now have paid jobs they leave their homes to do. And most of these women are now breadwinners too.
