Theymos, can you add another infographic which I created a while ago to the above list? I tried to make a more graphical and intuitive inforgraphic to help people understand the system easily.

Posts like "Joined", "Interesting", "Support", or other simple one word are most likely regarded as a spam by mod, even if the thread required to post something as a condition for airdrop.

Interesting, it would be good to hear about your criteria to choose those 5 bounties. I am not against your choice, just interested in how you chose them.

Nice thread, the merit system was introduced less than 2 months ago and it is not easy for Newbies to understand it. I made an infographic about the forum for Newbies, hope it is useful:

Welcome to the forum, I would suggest you start from reading this thread Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0and read stickies in each section before you post something there.

I already put a table with signature features, if you want, I can make another table like the one you posted.
Your table is fine but one thing I noticed is that there is actually a limit for number of characters: Member: Links allowed. Max 4000 characters.I added your and the others infographics, updated links and update a new format!
Great, that would be helpful especially for Newbies.

Although I agree that we need more Merit sources, it can't necessarily be concluded from this. Many users * distributed Merits to their alt-accounts, and this should end when their initial free Merits dry up. * From the Top-merited users, recent merit, many users have red trust for Merit trading (from the first 10: 452: pitipawn, 283: RichDaniel, 251: saulzaents and 151: niknik1966), and many are suspected to have traded Merit (such as Chachacoin17). It's even more suspicious if they stop getting new Merit right after they've reached the rank requirement. Yes a certain percentage should be abuses, and I was trying to extract some rule to distinguish them. In addition to focusing on the transaction with precisely necessary amount for rank up, and red trust, the pitipawn's merit history provides another rule; almost all the threads s/he was merited are "(Deleted/Off-limits/Ignored)". I have no idea how easy that is to write a script to spot,
At this moment these rules are checked by human, maybe there is some nice way to code.

Updated. Please tell me what other informations you would like to see.
This is nice summary. It would be good to include some infographic of the system as well. Below is an infographic I created and posted here: To be fair, there are several infographic by other users ( paxmao's infographic, ibminer's infographic, 8Habits's infographic, JetSet11's infographic, zentdex's infographic, alia_armelle's infographic ) but in my infographic I tried to make the logic more graphical and intuitive. Also, it would be informative to include the following table by roslinpl: Lesson 1: Forum's signature styling rules RANK

Simple idea I think it is a good idea to list up your best posts you want people to see more at the Personal Text area, like mines in the left.
Advantages The list of best posts is very simple and has practical advantages from several point of view.
1. It reduces your time to advertise your best posts. I have seen many merit giving away threads, and indeed, after making good quality posts you are proud of, people spend a certain amount of time to advertise them. Advertisements are sometimes posted not only merit giving away threads, but also other threads. Clearly, this is the opposite direction of the original idea of the introduction of the merit system to reduce spam and to improve the average quality of posts. By listing up them at the Personal Text ara, you can save such advertisement time for learning crypto more from the forum.
2. You can get the best information more easily. When you find a good quality post, you may want to check that user's history to see his/her previous posts with the same good quality. If that user is listing up his/her best posts, it is much easier to obtain the best information that suits your preference.
3. It reduces merit sources' time to look for good quality posts. While I am not a merit source, I can imagine that they have been having huge efforts to look for good quality posts which deserve merits. The number of threads giving away merit also suggests that it is hard for them to find out good quality posts. If everyone put the list of best posts, it would reduce their time substantially and they can reach good quality posts more easily.
Why Personal Text area? Of course, since before the introduction of the merit system, some members have already been making use of their signature areas to show links to their best posts or website etc. In principle you can do the same thing, and put your list of best posts in the signature area with links. However, people like me who want to participate signature campaign may not list their best posts in the signature area.
So I think the Personal Text area is the best place to show the list.
Currently, at Personal Text area, you can write down 50 characters without link. In future it would be more useful if dev could enable link at the Personal Text area.
