I have just seen there is a 2000 $ trade limit on bittrex. So nobody will sell big if it is the main exchange.

366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: March 05, 2016, 11:49:13 PM
People ask why there are not so many AMPs for sale on the exchanges.

Personally I bought AMPs some time back, and I do NOT intend to sell any of them at all.
I'm going to hold longtime, and wait till Synereo launches officially, as I believe those AMPs are currently extremely undervalued.

My wish/hope is that Synereo will be able to move people away from Facebook (who are getting rich from the users) and over to Synereo's social network, where users will be rewarded themselves for using the network.

Nobody wants to sell.

Why sell ? DECRED will have the same growth as BTC or ETH.
Even if some people don't believe in it, it is difficult to deny that the chances are high.

Hi guys,

The new development update by xnova (Robby) with a detailed roadmap is live: http://counterparty.io/news/development-update-enlarging-the-team-and-laying-out-our-roadmap/. You might want to check it out Smiley

The update covers that we've also added a new development team member.

Who or what is paying for this (very good) new member ?
Was there a new ressource lately ?

Ok.I can't give any details, but a major IT company (I mean M-A-J-O-R) is going to decide tonight if they will be using Decred as a way of giving and receiving payment for goods and services.Yes,some serious companies have started taking Decred seriously.
This is going to be big!
If it happens, you'll see it on the price, even before any official announcements.

This is going to be some crucial meeting!

Fingers crossed!

Is it surely because Satoshi himself is involved in Decred :-)

Didn't receive any coin from airdrop, so I had to buy, hopefully @ 0.0014 yesterday.
375  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Thanasis Collection Pack on: February 06, 2016, 03:59:02 PM
You are right, the results are very negative at the moment.

Few things to add yet :
- We saw a pike over 500$ last month. Each time a pump happens, the bots are catastrophic the months later. It was the same with best bots in early 2014.
- I don't know manual traders doing well in January on BTC. There are surely, but on alts instead.
- Statistically, it is higly likely to have a losing streak at any moment. Even the best and more profitable strategy will never prevent a losing streak, and with leverage the drawdown is always high.
- Many, many people rented the bot, and the bot is managing hundreds if not thousands of BTC. And only bitfinex, which is not the biggest market. That is the main problem for me. The crowd cant't win. Otherwise, where comes the money ?
- As a rule, don't rent a bot if you can't backtest on ANY EXCHANGE or PAIR ! It could be historically overtuned (even when honestly based on effective indicators) and you can't control and need to have confidence. I rented MSP as an option, not the main bot for my money !

It is obvious that Thanasis is a very good developper and has made open source and free bot for years. But the bot is overcrowed.
I am using another Thanasis bot (Strategy Composer) with basic indicators and it had unexpected good results (+30% after borrowing on okcoin.cn). The difference is nobody used it.
If tomorrow everybody chooses the second best bot on the market, the results will be catastrophic (even if every dev always answers that their bot can support many instances).

The conclusion stays the same : it is a very important loss, which will be very difficult to break-even, and nobody can tell which bot will perform best next month (trend, scalp, sideways...)
The choice to extend the subscription is personal or a money management strategy.

A possible answer :

Bitcoin and Altcoins generally don't have any fundamental value, or at least it is impossible to tell, whatever the technology behind. Warren Buffet even compared bitcoin's value to a check or a stamp.

On the otherside, archcoin is e a-stake and CEO knows how much the firm is worth. Even if it can be partly subjective, it is much more concrete than the last PnD value.
Hint : BTCarchitect just posted that the current value is one tenth of actual one.

380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PYC] Paycoin - Going to be hard forked soon! on: January 20, 2015, 09:21:48 AM

Josh Garza emailed me back and I am trying my best to discuss options.

Sadly, we lost the little leverage I thought we had.

I received a letter from the US trademark office denying my protest for Garza's PayCoin trademark stating that "first use" or "prior art" does not apply to trademarks.

So it appears Garza was right when he said the trademark was gonna be his.  Well, he said it was already his.  lol

At any rate, I also spoke with an expert at the trademark office as well and she told me exactly the same thing.

Prior art applies ONLY to patents, NOT trademarks so we have no case as far as the trademark office system is concerned.

At this point we can only hope for some goodwill from Mr. Garza.

Don't dump your coins out of desperation - if I cannot work out a buyout deal then we will relaunch and I will put together a dev team to relaunch a better coin, with more features and less dilution so everyone should be able to come out ahead, holding a Better coins worth more than what they had prior to Garza launching XPY, with the exception of the coin name, of course, which did nothing for the coin until Garza took his public.

If we don't have a case then anything devs do on this coin to fight Garza could result in a lawsuit when Garxa actually gets the trademark.  I would rather solve this the easy way if possible.

I hit Garza hard and fast initially, and frankly, I was an asshole cause I thought we had a clear cut case of prior art.

If anyone wants to file another protest with the trademark office to verify that what I am saying is true then please feel free to do so - it only takes about 10 minutes and you'll get a denial letter in a week.

Mr garza is speaking to me so that's a good sign.  I am hopeful something will be worked out, at least help the PYC community with developing and relaunching a revised [and improved] PYC replacement.

Best regards...

I am very very thankful for your work and lead but I think you are missing the point for once : Garza could be technically right on one element, but the overall operation "seems" to be a scam : A SEC investigation is even underway : https://coinfire.cf/2015/01/19/sec-investigation-of-gaw-miners-underway/

This PYC community of integrity is the first victim of the Paycoin 2 copycat and dont' want to collude with them by any means.
