My deposit went in after about 50 mins and so did hundreds of others, your spouting crap.

Well there is also a bunch of us whose deposit didn't go through! Mine still does not even show up at all as pending and I think you would also be upset if you're deposit still didn't go through either!   So no, I don't think I'm spouting crap.

THE VTC PRICE HAS NOW GONE DOWN ON CRYPTSY AND THEY'VE SUCCESSFULLY SCREWED MANY PEOPLE OVER WHO WERE LOOKING TO EXIST AT A CERTAIN PRICE POINT AND HAD NO OPTION TO DO SO AT ANY EXCHANGE BECAUSE THESE JERKS FROZE THE VTC DEPOSITS.

THE ONLY WAY THEY WILL LEARN IS IF WE ALL CONTINUE TO EXPOSE WHAT THEY DID!!

Something to think about before dumping.

I have mined over 2000 LTC since May, and while I made a decent profit relative to my investment, I've been kicking myself for selling most of my 2000 LTC at prices that would make you laugh. Hey, $15,000 in extra income for a year sounds great on the one hand, but when it could have been $40,000 for six months of mining... well, I played it safe. Fine. VTC, I've got extra funds already and don't need to sell any time soon. Coinedup looks like this for the past ten days, and the only reason it took that long to determine value was likely due to the (needed) client update and implementation of KGW.

Holding my VTC for at least four more months before selling. By then, I ought to have in the neighborhood of 4000 VTC if things go as planned. And if VTC ends up hitting 0.05-0.10 BTC (which is my hope), that's a lot of money. :-D

learn from old timers!

Words of wisdom!  Made a mistake by initially selling half of my VTC today but when I realized, price was skyrocketing, I was luckily able to repurchase almost half of what I sold at a loss, but well worth it.  I now still have close to 75% of what I originally purchased and I intend to hold hold hold!

FOR ALL OF US THAT GOT SCREWED OVER BY CRYPTSY FREEZING OUR VTC,  I started this thread:

Please continue to post in it as this is the only way to bring attention to the entire CryptoCurrency community of what these guys are doing!!
366  Economy / Trading Discussion / BEWARE OF CRYPTSY MANIPULATING NEW COINS- VERTCOIN SCREWJOB!! on: February 05, 2014, 08:08:45 AM
I am starting this thread in order to expose the unethical conduct in which Cryptsy chose to conduct themselves today right after the introduction of Vertcoin on their exchange (as the price was rapidly rising). It appears as if they intentionally started freezing everyone's VTC deposits so that they could artificially manipulate the price of this coin and allow a "select" few to dump it as it continued rising.   In the process, they screwed many VTC holders including myself by freezing up our deposits and thus stopping us from conducting any trading. Additionally, many of us initially tested our deposits by sending small amounts of VTC into the VTC wallet which all apparently made it through WITHIN MINUTES and only after we attempted to deposit the rest of the balance, did they freeze our VTS. As of this moment (10 HOURS), our deposits have STILL HAVE NOT made it into our VTC Wallets in Cryptsy.   Angry Angry

As a result of this, I WILL NOT BE CONDUCTING ANY MORE TRADING at Cryptsy. I am also quite active in the NYC Bitcoin community and will do MY EVERY BEST to bring this unethical behavior to public light and dissuade everyone I know from trading there.

I urge everyone to do the same and BOYCOTT these scam artists and AVOID using their exchange like the plague!

Please Please continue to post if you've been screwed over by Cryptsy!!!!  This is the only way to bring attention to the entire CryptoCurrency community of what these scam artists pulled off today!
367  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptsy and daytrading?? on: February 05, 2014, 07:45:44 AM
I would avoid Cryptsy, they just conducted a huge scam and screwed many Vertcoin holders by intentionally holding their deposits.
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VTC] Vertcoin - Adaptive N-factor in Scrypt - No more ASICs on: February 05, 2014, 07:38:01 AM
Sold enough to recoup my initial investment plus a little more and now holding the rest.  It's definitely going to go up.  It just needs time.

Luckily, I only transferred half of my VTC to Cryptsy, (aways anticipating the worst) and it looks like it paid off.  At the very least, I'm able to control the half I left in Coinedup.  There was definitely something fishy going on because I sent 1 VTC to test it first and that went through within minutes and only when I sent the rest of the half, it never showed up.

369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VTC] Vertcoin - Adaptive N-factor in Scrypt - No more ASICs on: February 05, 2014, 06:55:58 AM
When are we gonna get our coins on craptsy?  Huh

I think there is something wrong with Cryptsy. I sent 3 VTC  before 6 hours ago, and nothing on my wallet there. I checked my Cryptsy VTC deposit wallet on http://explorer.vertcoin.org and someone move my coins 30 minutes after my deposit to Cryptsy to another wallet. What is this? Theft?  Angry

A lot of us are having the same problem, you are not the only one.

Cryptsy is fucking with the wallets, manipulating the amount of coins in game

There doing it on purpose so that they can let the price rise.  By holding people's deposits, there stopping people from dumping, and thus allowing other Cryptsy traders to buy the coin and letting the price rise, but yet allowing "select" people to dump.   Just underscores the shadiness.

Its been 2 hours already and my VTC deposit is not even in pending on cryptsy... is this normal?

Yeah it's not showing here either, even after 11 confirmations. I'm not worried though since I've just put them on Cryptsy to free up some space from my HDD and have got no intention to sell for now. Cheesy

This moron just selling his own coins on own exchange. Don't bother. When it's dumped, your deposites will be there.

Question is, WILL it ever be dumped?
What would you say about LTC? Was it dumped at all?
Price skyrocketed from 2 to 4, and then within few days to 50+... then kinda slowly, mostly because of China bans, fell to 20 ranges.. ok, but it is still 10x more than it was like while ago.. so it seems to me, on lite coin there was not really any big dump.. and this can replicate here as well..
Price still can rise pretty hardly..
Look at the hashrate.. its rising as hell..

That's a good question- have the Chinese gotten involved in buying Vert yet?   If and when they do, we can expect another significant rise just like with Doge.

Who owns the 1.5 million coins? My guess is that there were a couple of miners who pulled out thousands of coins in the beginning, just like every other coin. Top 100 richest ~50%

I really don't have a clue, but looking at page 23, 4 days after launch, I find:

"Selling 2800vtc. 0.45 btc. Pm me. Faster."

followed by:

"WTS 2000 VTC @ 0.4 BTC"

"WTS 5k VRT
pm me with the offers."

Say what you want to say, but that really turns me off. Although, this coin does seem like a step in the right direction.

It was going for less than that a week ago.  They were not kidding when they said the world of crypto is extremely volatile!

Looks like the mass dumping has now begun which may be a good opportunity to look at buying again after that wave is over  Smiley
