No. (I just launch downloaded wallet). Should I instead browse that link and to be sure my passphrase wouldn't fall in someone else hands? Consider me a completely imcompetent user who just installed desktop wallet, purchased some NXT and also bought some assets: that's all I'm able to do at the moment; cannot even get what "running a node" means. I just noticed there is a forging option in my wallet and would like to take advantage of it without risking my full stack and also without too much hassle if possible. Bought some NXT and decided to try forging but when was going to activate forging feature in the same pop up where I should type my passphrase I had this warning displayed " Your passphrase will be sent to the server! ".
What's the reason of it? Does it mean my passphrase is not sure on server?
Another question: whats' the minimum suggested amount of NXT I should hold to have a decent return from forging?
Which client version do you use? This warning comes when you try to forge on the remote node as to forge on remote node is not the safest way, as you need to sent passphrase to this node. IF you forge on your local node, there should be no warning. To forge, you need at least 1000 NXT, which has at least 1440 confirmations on the network. Where can I found information about how the fees are calculated for the Nxt data cloud? The Nxt wiki does not provide much information about the fee.
Is it calculated on the file size, isn't it? If so, what is charged for a 1kByte pile of data?

So ardor testnet is already on the horizon, I guess Ignis distribution is not far behind. Nxt assets will be continued in the ardor blockchain.
Yes, it will come any day from today to the end of March. Ignis distribution is in Q3 2017. As for assets, only asset issuers will decide, to move them to Ardor or to stay in Nxt. |

my nxt node won't start. i worked for weeks but today i had to restart the machine. and now my nxt server does not start again. the startup stops here: 2017-01-23 22:13:02 INFO: nxt.useStrongSecureRandom = "false" Any idea what to do? Thank you. edit: shutting down the server works..... although it did not start completely. and i am using 1.11.2 Post a few more last lines from the log. i did not do anything for the last 12 hours with the server. now it is running..... don't know why. Maybe the network connection was down? it was. thats why i had to reboot the machine. but afterwards the connection was fine. ist just don't know. do you know what the server ist doing at this point in the startup process. maybe this can take more than 30 minutes because i am using a raspi. Always wait longer when you see "INFO: nxt.useStrongSecureRandom = "false"", as raspi is not the fasted hardware. It will load server completely, just a little bit more patience  |

Never had a problem with my NXT 1.8.2 wallet on Windows.
Now it doesnt work well.
Every time I started my wallet,it opens,and then few minutes later it said-Blockchain download halted,no connection!
There is connection,no doubt.
Now it is 117 133 blocks away from complete download/sync.
How to sync it?

Download the NRS client. Check header on www.nxtforum.org for the latest version. How long does it take to sync? I downloaded NRS. Started -run-Windows batch file. It works but still walet not responding. If you are in Windows, you should run nxt.exe |

Can someone explain to me exactly what IGNIS will be and what it will do..I have been hearing about it being a child chain but how will we be able to get it? I am trading ARDOR as well on POLO to try to get some free from profits to hold long term. Ignis is the 1st Child Chain of ardor. You will get free IGNIS by holding NXT and keep your NXT on the main live date of Ardor. Ignis is used for the features on the Child chain. Ardor is for securing and forging. It is worth mentioning, that Ignis will have all features Nxt has now. |

wait, I have to have nxt to be able to transfer darcrus out? how can I have nxt if I just singed up for this shit nxt wallet only for darcrus? Cant they just take fee in darcrus??? Unbelievable.
So how can I transfer darcrus out of this goddamn wallet if I dont have any nxt tokens?
Darcrus is an asset on Nxt platform. And yes, you need at least 1 NXT to pay transaction fee to transfer Darcrus to another account. The same will be with Waves, you'll need some waves for transaction fees. |

my node is always 1 block behind the counter on https://nxtportal.org/monitor/. is this just because i am running my node an a raspberry? and the HW is to slow? or is this like this? Yes, raspi is not the fastest hardware, but no worries here, it will catch up with the blocks. There is nothing unusual. |

I think the bounties have already been sent for some I can see in my nxt wallet at mynxt.info that team sent me some darcrus tokens yestrday. The strange part is that the amount in my wallet says ZERO. The amount they SENT is a number though so that is fine.
I see number of confirmations is rising so I guess the transfer will be complete soon. How many confirmations are needed? It is almost 2000 confirmations.
In any case, darcrus have sent me tokens so thanks for that. I guess I just need to wait for them to appear in my wallet.
Install basic Nxt asset plugin, and you should see them. |

I have transfer 10 darcrus from wallet.mynxt.info to bittrex 30minuts ago, but until now have not been coming to bittrex  Just contact Bittrex support with your tx details and it will be resolved. |

Install official NRS wallet client from https://nxtforum.org/nrs-releases/nrs-v1-11-2/ This version works as proxy client, which means you can make transactions immediately after you login with your account, while blockchain is downloading in the background. For this client uses random public nodes, while signing happens locally and your passphprase never leaves your PC. 2. Create new account with this client. IMPORTANT 1: keep your passphrase safe, passphrase is everything you need in order to have a full control of your account. Also please note, that any typo error by entering passphrase (uppercase, extra space, etc) will open the new account or you'll get an error by doing any transaction. IMPORTANT 2: always double check, that your saved passphrase opens the same account ID. 3. Goto mynxt.info wallet, install "Nxt asset" basic plugin and transfer your DAR assets to the newly created account. 4. Go back to installed client, login with your new account. Here you can trade your DAR in built in Asset exchange or transfer them to Bittrex with a message. 5.
