361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Coming next week-- the world's first handheld Bitcoin device, the Ellet! on: June 17, 2012, 06:05:05 PM
uh ohhhhh...

That watch looks like an Ipod nano, the ones they have wristbands for..

Thats fugly, just like the ipod nano watches no one wants.....  I pray that isnt it..   Undecided

Im really really disappointed if this is it..

I really hate to be negative on this, I had high hopes, but this is ugly as hell..

If it isnt a high tech usb stick, or a creditcard design, I cant see everyone flocking to a watch, I dont wear watches, as many others dont.
Specially when my cell phone IS my watch..

I dont wanna be a fashionable bitcoiner, I want to be a functional bitcoiner..

Watches are for fashion.. plain and simple..

Sending money to virtex.., No online method that a bank provides is allowed..

MUST be cash, presented to a teller..

From their announcements:

June 15, 2012, 11:04 a.m. - No longer accepting RBC Online Transfers

We will no longer accept RBC to RBC online transfers due to the potential for fraud/identity theft. All RBC deposits must be made in person with cash or wire transfer. This is not to be confused with online bill payments which we still do accept.

lol

That wasnt in their email.. but ya, clearly on the annoucements..

Hmmmmmm..... Their email contradicts their announcements

I thought they didnt like those..

I stand corrected..

or direct deposit to your account.

You are referring to withdrawing from CA Virtex and direct deposit to your bank, right?  (even if it is TD, or whatever)

Withdrawing is the same.. deposited like it always has been done..

Unfortunate they no longer support online transfers to fund CAD accounts.

The only change with online transfers is RBC to RBC is no longer allowed.  If you are verified you can still do online bill payment, or have them do a direct withdraw from your account, or direct deposit to your account.  To me it looks like they just removed their most risky money movement method, and added a bunch of cool new features.  Now if only they could get bitinstant attached....

Incorrect..

No online method from your bank is allowed..

You must speak with a teller, and give them cash to send to their new accounts..

This is because of identity theft, and using a bank account that does not belong to you..

Cash, in person...  at the bank...

Virtex states this in their recent email.. and trust me when I say this is how it is..

"We no longer accept any form of online transfers to our bank accounts due to the potential for fraud/identity theft. All cash deposits must be made in person or by wire transfer. If a deposit is received through any kind of online customer to customer transfer, it will be rejected and returned to the account holder."

What happened to the video?  It says the submitter shut down his YouTube channel…or something like that.  Man, this video was awesome.  I wanted to post it to Facebook.  When the book of bitcoin history is written, RawDog needs to get his own chapter.  Man, this has to be the funniest video I've seen in a long, long time.

Goto his Sir rawdog videos, and the one with the Stockholm syndrome one is the one I think everyone is laughing at..

Im watching it now.. this guy is a redneck loser..   very funny..

The attaching a thumbdrive to his hip..   loved that comment.. because people dont have wallets with cash in it..
372  Economy / Speculation / Re: Rally!!!!! on: June 15, 2012, 11:39:54 PM
The strength of this rally is surprising me. It's insane! Madness. I love it.

To be honest though I do think that around $7 we will start building resistance that will at least temporarily slow down the momentum of the rally.

However I wouldn't bet much on anything right now. It's quite challenging to predict what will happen. One thing I can almost guarantee, there will be more volatility.

Rally is over, technomage had an opinion.. Cheesy
