1241  Economy / Speculation / Re: your long position on: January 25, 2012, 05:17:22 PM
no this dip is so that everyone can jump on the Bitcoinica long train at 5.75, then stagnate with * till another player dumps, then we go lower and repeat.

This is ridiculous now..

This lemming run to the cliffs has to stop...

We are all being stopped at the cliffs edge by a thin layer of saran wrap, all it takes is one fat lemming to break it.. then we go down..

And at the starfish side, the open plains of green, the great wall of Zhou.

1243  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] LIF.A, LIF.B, LIF.CX, and LIF.M on: January 25, 2012, 01:32:19 AM
Gee, the guy took a flyer and has abandoned his Funds, has ripped everyone's money off, and is not communicating at all with anyone publicly or privately.

So placing a sell order is going to help, exactly how? The only thing that might accomplish is suckering some neophyte investor into thinking they have a bargain. They will buy it and find out it is so much bullshit. This is one of the major flaws of the GLBSE, that dead and/or abandoned and/or criminal issues stay up forever and there is no proactive process to remove the rip-offs. Calling Peter Lambert out in the venue that has the most exposure is a far better bet, at least it gets more people noticing that he is a scammer, and while I don't expect to get a bit-dime back from him in this manner, I might keep the awareness happening so that nobody will continue to invest in his crap, as happened for 5 weeks after the LIF.B rip-off.

Is that stupid? You be the judge, apparently you are comfortable with the issue staying open and future potential victims buying this worthless shit. Bully for you market genius boy. Should Peter come back and want proof of investment and loss, it can all be provided.

Lou said it, thats why I gave up on GLBSE, I pray Ver 2 is better

Seriously, how freakin long was dishwara up there..  idiots were trading that shit months after it declared dead
1244  Economy / Speculation / Re: Teflone's Technical Analysis on: January 25, 2012, 01:08:52 AM
i don't agree, a major player although has more power is vulnerable as any one else on the market and assumes greater risk

Your right, but they dont care...  Its pennies to them..

The bid side is propped up pretty high.  If they wernt there ?

We would be a bit lower, 5.80 or so..
1245  Economy / Speculation / Re: Teflone's Technical Analysis on: January 25, 2012, 12:51:54 AM
We are going steady sideways, or down as long as we are underwater looking at starfish..

In other words - we need more credit to buy Bitcoins!  Grin

Sorta, I wouldnt suggest buying more, but the market is on pause.

The power of the people moving the price as a whole entity is halted, till a major player makes the move.

This is where they want us. So sit back, and relax..

correction: market doesn't need any big moves to start a movement, just a (strong) signal would suffice, doesn't even have to be from a major player.

I've watched it long enough, it needs major players at this point to make it move..

Right now the major players are just dumping slowly, trying not to spike..

Then, bam! were going down so they can pick up cheaper coins..

Rinse, repeat.

There's been so much discussion lately about price stabilization, welcome to the Pax Manipulus  Tongue

False stability..  Until...  Ka-blammooo

Think of it as a sleeping volcano..

Eventually it has to release pressure... then where it goes.. no one knows! Smiley

Give it some time for short attention spans to kick in and new marks to enter the game. New marks are key, their wide eyed bullishness will make those once burned anxious about missing the Next Big Move. Then lather, rinse, repeat.

Relevant joke:
A man noticed a farmer walking with three-legged pig on a leash. It looked very odd. He said, "Farmer, why are you walking a three-legged pig?"

"Why, stranger, this is no ordinary pig," the farmer replied. "One night our barn caught on fire, and before my wife and I even woke up, the pig had called the fire department, and herded all the other animals out of the barn. The next week, a burglar got into the house, and the pig had him tied up and the police were on their way before I even realized what had happened. Then just last week, I fell into the duck pond and was like to drown, except this pig jumped in and pulled me out. Like I say, this is no ordinary pig."

"Well, that truly is a remarkable pig. But tell me, how did he come to have only three legs?" "Are you kidding? A pig this good, you don't eat all at once."

you are retarded and should be labelled SCAMMER based on this post alone

you even used the word 'mark'...

Its funny as fuck though..

His point is people are raping the btc economy..

1252  Economy / Speculation / Re: if you were the manipulator, what would you do? on: January 24, 2012, 08:14:02 PM
not at all, cause I admit 20% of them succeed at manipulating

Its ok, we gather here every Wed. for moral support.. Smiley
1253  Economy / Speculation / Re: if you were the manipulator, what would you do? on: January 24, 2012, 08:09:52 PM
my theory about manipulators is that 80% of them fail at manipulating

like everything else in life

Dont worry, stage 3 frustration! is next!   Smiley

Its the closest picture I could find on short notice
1254  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Doldrums on: January 24, 2012, 07:59:56 PM
It's because...

...just went to check.

Yup, Bitcoinica still has the * on the buy side.

lol

1255  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [IDEA] plugin for dd-wrt that allows selling internet connection to neighbors on: January 24, 2012, 05:55:23 AM
The problem of not having a connection to send coins is a non issue..

You make it available, and use a web based coin payment page..

If you look at captive portal and hot spot, they all work perfectly fine..
1256  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] LIF.A, LIF.B, LIF.CX, and LIF.M on: January 24, 2012, 03:53:01 AM
Sad

at least i got my 4 btc from him.

Yep.  Peter gave you face value and the rest of us squat though.  Still waiting for my orders to be filled Peter.

I feel ya teek, geeezz, Sad

No wonder you were frantic about figuring this out, I had no idea he had such investors like you.

Such a fly by night ending..

So what straw was it that broke the camels back I wonder?

Shorting the hell out of btc.. ?

How does everything fall apart when btc goes up... ?

Somewhere there had to be coins living and breathing and appreciating on their own right?
1257  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Poll] What do you think the price will be 7 days froim now? on: January 24, 2012, 01:54:42 AM
I didn't get liquidated.  In fact, I helped the price rebound by increasing my long.  I have already closed that position when it got too high.  How am I adding volatility?

1258  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Poll] What do you think the price will be 7 days froim now? on: January 24, 2012, 01:21:13 AM
not me you are not so great at analogies....

massive instability keeps people from jumping on board.  case in point, i told all my friends about bitcoin during the good wives hype and they were ready to try out the waters...after that crash you could forget it.

Yes... Let's hide how tiny and unstable our little market is.  That will solve our problems.  But who will bury the last guy's head in the sand?  If your friends can't stomach a temporary dropout, BTC won't be ready for them for a few more years.

No, lets use mtgox through bitcoinica and increase volatility while Advertising it!

Sometimes I crack myself up. Cheesy
1259  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] LIF.A, LIF.B, LIF.CX, and LIF.M on: January 24, 2012, 01:00:32 AM
Waaaaa... I trusted Peter..

Im a little hurt..  Huh
1260  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Poll] What do you think the price will be 7 days froim now? on: January 24, 2012, 12:41:21 AM
1. Reserves are finite.  Too much speculation in one direction locks it up in that direction until someone takes profit or is liquidated.
2. There is slippage risk.  If someone tries to exploit this, they can hit Bitcoinica hard.  To do so would take quite a bit of capital.
3.  Zhoutong could be dishonest and force liquidations by trading on mtgox, but there is no evidence of such behavior.  Such behavior was once used by so called bucket shops to mitigate the slippage risk, which was more severe for them due to them hedging partially with manual decision making.  Bitcoinica now covers all positions, so unless slippage becomes a problem due to targeted attacks, Zhoutong will make more money by playing fair.

Number 2, is EXACTLY what im talking about...

So what is your issue with me ?

Wake up, people have a lot of capital..  this is happening. now...

And the locking up starfish makes it worse! If you cant understand that, I really have little more to say..
Not my job to teach you.

As long as Zhou is dealing on mtgox, there will be massive bouts of volatility from the big players screwing around with Zhou because there is a clear sign * saying, hey! come over here and abuse me!  Who wins?

Not us.

I have no issue with you... You are the one bringing emotion into this conversation.  In fact, I'm a little taken aback by it.

The * is caused by traders.  Anyone who is holding long on Bitcoinica knows about it.  They are the ones taking the risk, and the ones who may be screwed.  If you are not one of them, why complain?  If you are one of them, why complain when you could close your long?

Should we shut down the pirate bay because it allows you to do things that may get you in trouble?

Why complain?

Oh sorry, unlike you, I actually care and have empathy for the common bitcoiners losing their money and coins.
Because you do realize its just the common bitcoiners, the type of people that dont have a lot of disposable income that are losing.

And who said shut down bitcoinica ? I didnt, so your analogies are weak at best.
I want bitcoinica to be its own entity. End of story.

But you have fun taking money from the less informed..

I will sit on the sidelines of bitcoinica and not make things worse.
