362  Economy / Gambling / Re: What gambing games do gamblers want? on: March 12, 2015, 10:30:44 PM
From the gamblers that i have know in my real life it seems all they really want is to lose lol so give them anything with a high chance of losing and being absolutely devastated, almost suicidal and you will be sure to have a winner. It is sad really because they do not no went to stop and it can destroy so fast.. I play Dice and Poker when i have had a good time trading but i will never spend more than i would cry over if i lost, it is all about discipline for me...
363  Economy / Speculation / Re: What kind of money have people here made trading? on: March 12, 2015, 10:25:46 PM
I am sure some have made a bloody fortune threw trading and others have lost a fortune but the losers are likely to lie to you and their self lol I started trading altcoins when i first started and i lost a fair bit around 4-5 btc if i remember but then i stopped just jumping in and actually spending time researching the coins and their future, long story a little shorter ended up in profit not a fortune but got my money back so it's all good. Recently started trading usd/btc and i love it by far the best way to trade and the most btc to be made. I cannot give an amount because i really don't know except it is more than i started with and i have some in storage, spent some and cashed out some so probably 5+ btc since nov which is not great but not bad Smiley Happy trading

365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Would You Have Bid For The USMS Seized BTCs? on: March 12, 2015, 12:37:31 AM
The fact i do not like nor care about the government would make me not want to set any bids on the auctioned coins to put anymore of my money in their pocket.

Having said that i would put a low ball bid into the mix of around the same as the op about $100 maybe a little more but nowhere near what they got over the market price is crazy lol

My reasons for such a low bid would be because i dislike them and the way they received not the bitcoin itself.
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to spot scam coin? on: March 12, 2015, 12:29:47 AM
I dont know what i should be look for how do i know coin is scam? people cant do premine anymore so how are they trying to scam us now? It seem to me every coin is scam how can i avoid this?

They can do premines of course they can there are loads out and continue to be released everyday, the way to notice a scam coin is just open up the alternative announcements they will soon come flooding  in, you are right to think that most are scam coins if they are not scam coins they are shit coins and will lose all value the minute the dev and his mining buddies start dumping. I have stayed away from them for quite awhile now after getting rapped up in a few that i got burned on.
367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Guard your Bitcoin with Stainless Steel Cold Storage on: March 12, 2015, 12:19:18 AM
They look really slick, but I don't really understand how this can be safe if there is no backup. Or are you supposed to make 2 identical ones and just keep them at 2 places?

Not sure there is meant to be a back up i believe that is the back up, from the tests it seems pretty indestructible but obviously that is not taking into consideration that it can be lost which would be horrible. Maybe possible to make a paper back up and store in a safety box only to open if you lose the steel cold storage. The price is a little high between rum and sneekers so what about $40-$60 but then what price do you put on security hmmm
368  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to gamble with 1 BTC on: March 12, 2015, 12:13:15 AM
I am a all in kind of guy, so i would have to advise what i would do lol so that would be all in Smiley: Basically a coin flip  on a respected dice site that way you have lowered the house edge to a one time percentage instead of multiple boring bets that add up over time. Did you get a bitcoin and do this? Always be careful gambling and only risk what you can afford to lose.
369  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: INVEST BITCOIN!!! on: March 08, 2015, 09:08:23 PM
i suggest you do some research about trading altcoins with your bitcoin. BUT if you want to jump in without enough information and knowledge you will surely lose more money than you earn. but if learn the ways, the earning is good.

EVen the "pros" that claim to "Beat" the altcoin markets either only do it by manipulating the market or the flat out lie about their results. The problem is that there is so much variance and people are really bad in distingushing results into skill and variance.

There are very few who are beating the alt coin market consistently and like you said that is threw manipulation and flat out lies. Most of them who do are cum bags plain and simple. The problem is those who try to trade are so new to it most of the time they cannot hold for long enough or know when a coin is accumulating there is so much to learn not many have the patience to be able to but if you do then you can earn from it if you have a lot of discipline.
370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Value vs. The Dollar on: March 08, 2015, 08:54:30 PM
This is normal. Bitcoin is actually pretty stable for once. Hope it will keep this way since USD is very valuable right now.

The second thread you have bumped from a month ago, when op created this thread bitcoin was at 218-220 it is now 270 that is not stable that is all over the place and will continue to be until we get more people within bitcoin. The usd has also already peaked and now it is dropping to let you know..
371  Other / Off-topic / Re: If BTC goes to $1000 or more, what would you do? on: March 08, 2015, 08:47:54 PM
If it goes to 1K, Im unloading 80% of my coins, maybe even all. Hope that day will happen soon.  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I am 90% sure we will see $1000 again not this year though summer 2016 at a guess but who knows.
What i do know is i will be selling on the way to it and at 1000+ then get scared that it will keep rising and not be able to get back in lol
This is highly unlikely though because i reckon most of us will be doing the same thing a race to the dump.
372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What did you do with your bitcoin today? on: March 08, 2015, 06:46:09 PM
Today I hodl my bitcoin, a penny saved is a penny earned. Smiley

This is very true, i have a habit of basically hoarding my Bitcoin lol Was the same when i was younger with fiat cash was a waste of time until i needed it for college then became super handy.

As with this keep stacking them coins how ever much you can afford and you will either have a good investment or you will not i just cannot see spending it on things and regret it later when it turns out i paid a stupid amount more than the item or bill was worth, we are at the bottom of the price imo

So would be crazy to spend but each to their own as the spenders probably think the hoarders are crazy Smiley
373  Economy / Economics / Re: Is money one of the three most important things in your life? on: March 08, 2015, 06:28:33 PM
Money is like blood. You need it circulating to stay operational. There've been phases where I've had nothing, and others where I've had plenty. I'm not sure my happiness level was any different, but the sense of reassurance is very powerful when you have some tucked away.

Agreed. Money reassures every human individual that he/she has better chances of living compared to those who have less or who have none. We cannot deny the fact that while we are living, we are bound to money, and we cannot live without it.

Wrong money does not reassure everyone just us who have been raised to worship money there are plenty of happy people around the world who live self sufficient happy lives without the need of paper.

Again you have it wrong just because you have money does not give you better chances it reduces your chances because you become dependent on something that has been created to control you.

We have indeed been bound by money and that is what is destroying us.
374  Economy / Gambling / Re: What type of Gambling do you prefer? on: March 08, 2015, 06:20:18 PM
i'll prefer investing based gambling  then minesweeper Grin

There is a saying each to their own and this applies to you, have you not seen how many investment based games have done a runner with peoples investments.

It is the people that play them are just as bad as the owner who will do a runner. minesweeper is not bad i guess as long as the site is trusted and you have fun i do not mind what method i choose to have a flutter.
375  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [BTER.com] Where would you be moving your *altcoins ? *if you will receive them on: March 04, 2015, 12:29:49 PM
Their latest tweet says all altcoin withdrawals will be open in a week, but there are claims that they have emptied their office in China. I don't know if they are serious or buying time before they disappear.

I have personally gone with the latter and that they have prepared to disappear.

My reasons 1, it has taken to long far to long! 2, they completed fiat withdrawals so the do not face the legal issue they would have stealing peoples cash.

The thing i do not get though the owner name is out there so the last thing he should be doing is planning to do a runner  Huh

Confusing i just hope anyone with a fairly large amount which they 'should not have had' on there in the first place but hope they get it back.

Stealing is horrible  Undecided Cry
376  Economy / Gambling / Re: What type of Gambling do you prefer? on: March 04, 2015, 12:23:59 PM
Blackjack, Roulette, and Texas Holdem.  Dice is too addicting for me to play.  Undecided

Dice to addictive but you play Roulette and Black Jack  Huh

Dice is what you make it, it is all about self control in anything you do in life my friend.

On a side note Dice is my favorite because we should do what we have fun with.

I have been liking to play poker on Nitrogen lately.

I have seen this once before your post, is this site any good because i prefer poker out of most forms of gambling. I assume it is btc poker?

Cheers

377  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bubble FULL TILT POKER on: March 04, 2015, 12:16:38 PM
are you saying, full tilt poker is going to accept BTC... or is it a rumour, if its true, then its good for some more peoples who are now a days investing in ponzi....

only rumors.

He is the only source I know that would say such thing

Well if you look you shall find!

Maybe type into google is pokerstars going to accept Bitcoin then you will find that he is not the only source that would say such a thing and it may well be true.

I will not leave a link because i don't do that but am telling you you will find with that simple question to goofle.

Do not judge by a name lol

378  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [BTER.com] Where would you be moving your *altcoins ? *if you will receive them on: March 04, 2015, 12:10:12 PM
Depends on what altcoin im getting.
These will be my preriority

Bit-x
Btc-e
Bittrex

Added btc-e and bit-x , I've forgot these 2 exchanges.

You forgot an exchange that is in your signature and pays you every month Wink

For the majority of my alts i use Bittrex and Poloniex firstly because i trust them secondly because their customer service is very good in my experience.

BTER customer service was always terrible that is why i stopped using them for even close to large deposits or withdrawals.

I like the way 'if' you get them back! I have wrote my few off as a loss and lesson learned.
379  Economy / Gambling / Re: From 650 Bitcoins to one: Why you should never gamble on: March 04, 2015, 11:57:37 AM
sorry to hear that gambling ruined your life man.. We've seen other stories like this but yours is more brutal losing so much money in a blink of an eye Sad

Not as bad as you think when you do think about it, he won around 650btc which was mainly profit and then he brought something for around 40 btc i believe and then lost most of his profit.

So really he only lost his profit so he never ruined his life although he could have had a much easier life had he not done that. The main thing is to live and learn.

for me getting a chance of being multimillionaire, considering where the prices can head, is a live destroying event.

Of course lose 650 BTC from my own pocket would be worse

I was about to say fat chance of becoming a millionaire from 650 btc but that is very doable  Shocked Poor OP!

Few questions if i may, over how long a time period did you win the 650btc of course roughly?

How long did it take to lose again 'roughly'?

Thanks i am super interested.
