361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 291.2409 BTC for a 0.0001 BTC transaction . on: May 02, 2016, 04:23:03 AM
snip

I see , so we are wrong thinking that hackers/ thieves did this.

To particularly whose error is that? By the sender?
Are you serious, you really dont know? Isnt it obvious mate? of course its sender's error. Hes the one sending the transaction. He didnt double check it before clicking send.
Oh no. He didn't double checked the fees in transaction. I know the sender is started to cry with that.
He didn't check to send the 291BTC to a change address or back to the originating address, not that he sent a 291BTC fee. If you don't spend the BTC in the transaction even by sending the remainder to  yourself it is automatically considered a miners fee.

You originally have 300BTC in 1YYYYYYYY->> you send 9 BTC to 1XXXXXXx ->>291 BTC is now the miner fee as you didn't also send it back to yourself (1YYYYYYYY or a change address). Using a poorly programmed wallet could do this or trying to send a raw transaction.

Bitclubpool has stated they would send it back to the original sender if they prove ownership, if no one proves to them that they owned the BTC Bitclubpool "will" donate it to charity.
362  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Made temporary bitcoin.info wallet and didn't back up -- Forgot passphrase... on: May 02, 2016, 04:11:36 AM
Is there anyone that can help? I e-mailed Dave with WalletRecoveryServices but haven't heard back. I have the correct identifier, transaction ID and MOST of my password. I also have the addresses involved (where the BTC was sent FROM and where it was sent TO). I can prove that I own the wallet as I am the only one who has access to where the coins came from (it's an account that I set up and verified with my phone number, etc.).

If someone can help I am willing to pay a fee. Like I said, I have the correct identifier, and most of the password; I just can't fill in the blanks. What should I do? I contacted the support desk at bitcoin.info and they verified the identifier etc. but are obviously unable to release the password since they don't actually *have it*.

If someone could at the very least point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. It's only about 0.77 BTC so not much but I am willing to pay a fee if someone can help me crack the password. I don't have the wallet.dat file or whatever as it wasn't backed up and like an impatient idiot I failed to write down my mneumonic...

I know. Stupid. I've never even considered doing something like this before. I was impatient and created a blockchain.info wallet on the fly with a (what I thought to be) easy to remember password. I got into the screen, transferred the BTC from my account to the wallet and while waiting for confirmations, it refreshed the page by itself and logged me out!!

So now I'm stuck here with no real options and have no idea what to do. If someone can help me I would be grateful beyond words.

Thank you.

Regards,

- DS
Do you mean blockchain.info? I never knew bitcoin.info was a wallet, I do believe that the recovery service requires the wallet.dat but I could be mistaken on that. Also having access to the sending address is meaningless and does not prove ownership of the recipient address.
363  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: YOBIT DEPOSIT MISSING - POSSIBLE THEFT BY YOBIT on: May 01, 2016, 08:52:04 PM
I still believe this to be a valid reason, I'm a bit surprised you didn't include it in your OP

I did not include it initially because initially I did not want to say theft. Yes i changed Topic later to reflect the DOGE transfer. i am not trying to bash Yobit.net . As I stated numerous times, I LIKE YOBIT. ITS ACTUALLY MY FAVORITE EXCHANGE. I felt it was better to let them explain to me what is going on. But yes the BAN for asking for an Admin for help resulted in me posting this. I may not have waited the entire 24HRS but I can guarantee once any of you dont see your coins deposited and yet see them transfered by yobit to another address you too would be here looking for answers and saying fuck that 24hrs. i understand about system transfers but that still makes 0 sense considering if you look at my yobit wallet via block explorer the doge coins are GONE. they have not just been swapped to some cold wallet. (i still have a 0 balance for doge on block explorer. And my wallets are not dead. they are used whenever coins are in them. So for them to transfer the coins out of my wallet behind the scenes is still a shady move. If my wallet reflected the 9k still it would be one thing but it is 0)

I am not trying to argue with anyone. Those that want to respond telling me that I fail because I did not wait can continue to do so. Its not your money that has disappeared. If you have a problem with me being concerned about my coins ($$) then just don't respond. This thread is not started trying to BASH yobit or harm it in any way. I just need this to be resolved.
There isn't much of an argument going on, a wallet sweep is normal and many users understand that exchanges need to sweep the wallets to condense coins and to protect them by moving them to cold storage, this process is automatic and if you look at your deposit address every coin that you deposit after a certain period of time gets swept.

As for coins not showing as deposited, that occurs also, API or a cron job that lags can cause this, did the LTC and Doge deposits occur around the same time? If so then there might have been a server problem that just didn't see the deposit hit the account.

I am also not saying 24 hours is the maximum time you need to wait, that's just the minimum time to expect any sort of reply from a large company, that if they were experiencing a server error with recording deposits you were not the only one who would have made a report. I'm having trouble moving about 3k from a coinbase wallet, its the weekend I understand that the earliest I'll get a reply is sometime on Monday.

You are saying that you want a reply from yobit as to what happened, after they pop up and say yes this error happened will you then say well fix my deposit? Seeing as they haven't gotten to your ticket yet the reply would be no, wait until your ticket is acted on. Yes the coins are yours but a risk you take when sending coins to anyone is a delay in deposit caused by any number of errors.
364  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Acussed by making scam on: May 01, 2016, 07:23:41 PM
Why even fight for this account back? It's not like it was very well trusted back when you controlled it or even had many posts. A new account could be made and started with less effort.

A mod can check the logs, but still your account was compromised and for that it was your fault.
365  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: YOBIT DEPOSIT MISSING - POSSIBLE THEFT BY YOBIT on: May 01, 2016, 06:06:37 PM
This is for those calling me a liar and saying I did not give valid time. Check the screen captures and then doge trans id and WITHDRAWL that is not by me or my account but done behind the scenes at yobit (doge never even showed up in my wallet. yet someone at yobit transferred them. So if I seem like this is urgent, it is)

(Sorry forum is saying that there not valid. Go to the links for screen capture or disappearing coins)

Now I did not start this thread as theft or mention it. I did not put the doge transaction down because I did not want anyone to jump to the theft thought. So in other words if you guys seen your coins literally disappear in front of your face you would sit back and say. If you see what I see wouldn't you also be concerned? I tried to not say anything about the doge and get an admin as fast as I can before my LTC disappears also. I am not trying to start anything. As i said I hope this is all a complete misunderstanding as I do like yobit.

If you all see what has happened to the doge deposit you can understand my urgency about the ltc. If jumping the gun because i watched my coins disappear into another wallet makes me into a liar then I don't know what to say.

For the doge that could be something, I would highly suggest running a virus scan on your computer, changing your passwords (email, and yobit) and making sure to submit a ticket for possibly being hacked or an account being compromised. The screen shots you showed seem to be someone actually transferring the funds, but again going to a chat box isn't support and if it was stolen, there isn't much you can really do until a site admin can look at the IP logs and notifying them in a chat box is not the proper way to do that, they have a system in place that must be followed. You could make a scam accusation about that, but more people would say what I said and claim you were hacked.
Stikethrough for thinking the screenshots were yobit account withdrawal / deposit logs, not the dogecoin explorer.

I misread the screen shots, and my original assumption seems to be correct. The transactions on the doge chain seem to be a simple wallet sweep which occurs normally on every exchange to move funds around for other transactions and to move coins to cold wallets.

And yes I would wait at least a day before going into a chatbox where the mods are not real support staff they are simply chat mods, if support is requested their job is to say submit a ticket. If the person refuses to do that and keeps mentioning it in the chat, they can temporarily ban you from the chat and if you continue after that then permanently ban you. When I say keeps mentioning it I mean bringing it up more than once, if all deposit / withdrawal problems are dealt with by the ticket system regardless of if an admin is in a chat (which is called a trollbox - do you really think support would be issued) then wait for a reply or at least wait a reasonable length of time. Strictly from your LTC deposit, it was confirmed at midnight, you wouldn't have made a support ticket right away as it would take some confirmations so 1-2 hours later possibly, your forum post about it happened about 12-14 hours later. I don't see that as being a reasonable amount of time for a company to investigate a discrepancy in a currency deposit, seeing as they also have other customers and tickets to deal with, but then you also were chat banned before making the post, so you waited even less time.
366  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [14000Th] Eligius: 0% Fee BTC, 105% PPS NMC, No registration, CPPSRB on: May 01, 2016, 06:00:38 PM
Hi Guys

I only mined a few days last week for the first time on eligius, I stopped and turned off because it wasn't until the third day I started to read about when I would get any payout, and it seemed to me that it would be ages, so I stopped, at that time the stats page was telling me that I had 181BTC in the queue before me and that it would be about 7 Blocks until I got my payout, which I thought was to much for me to wait, today a few days later I visited to check on progress and it now says there is 210 BTC or about 8 blocks till my payout

Help, How can it be that I go backwards?

If you stop mining your payout priority decreases, also other miners can join the payout queue.

its unfortunate but I cannot go weeks without getting paid, and even before I stopped the stats page suggested it would be 7 blocks, which was way to long for me, and now its 8 blocks because I stopped, thats a bit of a catch 22 isnt it

Your answer suggests that as I have stopped, I will probably never get my small 0.3 BTC, I am already going backwards, how do I checkout or figure a date for possible checkout

You'll eventually get it if you stop, but don't think you'll be paid out before the people who are submitting new shares. The priority goes to the newest shares submitted, if you drop out your newest shares remain the same while others have newer shares sent to the pool. But what you were missing was, that amount  you get paid keeps going up as you stay mining on the pool, once the payout queue is entered you will be paid for every valid share you submit until you are paid out, then you have to wait again to enter the payout queue, so leaving with 7 blocks ahead at 0.30BTC when your turn came up you could have been looking at a 0.6BTC payout.

7 Blocks doesn't necessarily mean weeks, if the pool is lucky and fines 8 Blocks today you could have been paid out today. But if you are living / paying bills daily off of your mining income then you may need to re think the pool you are on, a more reliable payout also usually comes with less of a reward. Also the payout queue is the automated system, wizkid has sent out and cleared the payout queue manually before.

But I seriously doubt that that person did this unintentionally. It has to be intentional. Perhaps he owns the address 155fzsEBHy9Ri2bMQ8uuuR3tv1YzcDywd4 as well.

That's BitClub Network's mining address. So you're essentially saying that tx was staged by the miner, as discussed above it's possible but pretty risky. BCN did get a lot of publicity because of that including some mainstream news press hits.

It was more likely the sender forgot to send the 291BTC to a change address and just sent x BTC to where he wanted to send it using a raw transaction or a wallet that makes you do  change manually.

All BTC must be sent, first to where you want it sent and then either back to your own address or a change address. If you fail to do this any left overs get given as a miners fee, most wallets will automatically send to a change address.

Wallet 1SamNZsRh1CqFxR9JyqF6EsQ8iv3QgrRT is the subject of stolen BitCoins:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=589433.msg6904002#msg6904002

Then it all clears. Wewillallbeforgotten is scammer afterall. Marvellous work TIMELORD2067. You are Sherlock Holmes of bitcointalk.org  Cheesy

Thanks for your good wishes, this is the negative trust I have given Wewillallbeforgotten

Quote
Claims to be the original owner of Avirunes but cannot provide signed message, *but* admits being owner of linked Wallet address 1SamNZsRh1CqFxR9JyqF6EsQ8iv3QgrRT that has an unresolved (?) Stolen BitCoins accusation against it.

If Wewillallbeforgotten can sign a message from either

Code:
1NuYgr8p1pu8MkfEtkynebL4b4mjjdRz9E
1SamNZsRh1CqFxR9JyqF6EsQ8iv3QgrRT

Then they are the likely original owner of your account (How ActSeller got a hold of it is another question entirely)
Before giving negative trust that 1Sam account might have done nothing wrong but played at Luckybit (edit* or funnybtc.com - it seems funnybtc.com was also a gambling site), the person that says he was scammed was scammed by a website called funnybtc, who then spent the BTC on a wager at Luckybit. The funds then flowed from a luckybit wallet to a luckybit wallet and 1Sam. Unless I was missing something.

Maybe I am mistaken but the scam accusation against the 1Sam / luckybit is not very detailed. I do still believe that the account should not be given to Wewillallbeforgotten and should remain with the current account holder for other reasons, mostly Wewillallbeforgotten has failed to provid sufficient evidence that he owns the account other than that he at one time owned the account.

The evidence of being able to login to a Blockchain.info account is not actual evidence, they've been hacked so many times he could just have the user information.
370  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Need Help to Start Bitcoin Mining on: May 01, 2016, 10:02:39 AM
I'll list the things that you should consider prior to setting up a mining equipment:

1. Little to free electricity rate (as mentioned above)
2. Good mining location (you should have a place that could handle the noise and at the same time, doesn't have flammable surrounding)
3. Good air conditioning (you need good flow of cold air in order to reduce miners heat as much as possible)
4. Stable internet connection (the speed is not that important but it's consistency is important)
5. Depending on your budget, you will need to purchase the most efficient miner available in order to have the most profit overall
6. PSU or a power supply (as mentioned above)
7. Depending on how much your going to invest in a mining rigs, you should choose if you'll be mining solo or in a pool (if you have more than 200 TH/s of hash power, you could consider mining solo but anything less than that, you should only consider pool mining.

First of all thank to all of you who respond me. I am glad this forum have very kind & supportive friends.

As i am new so i am trying to understand electricity consumption, meanwhile please tell me the source where i can buy hardware with support.

BR

If you tell us your electricity price we can help you with the ROI.  Remember it's speculation so no one can say profit for sure, but with electricity price you can get a decent guess.

But you can get it off your last electric bill, a lot allow online at this point and can see over multiple months.  Should be pretty  easy to get this information and it is vital.
Also if you do have really high electrical rates you (OP) may wish to find a host that offers a better rate. You might want to do this anyway if the hosting providers charge less than your costs are even if your electrical rate is semi reasonable.

List of hosts from the forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=622998.0

$70 per TH with all of them. The SP35 is supposedly sold - haven't handed it to the customer yet but I'm pretty sure the deal will go through.

My offer
SP30 X 2
0.5btc x 2 = 1Btc

Ok, where you located? One of the SP30 is problematic and we're working on determining what is going on with it. The other fully working on is in Labrador so it will be a while until we go out there and bring it back to Montreal for shipping. However I do have a SP31 in Montreal running just fine. You can have that one shipped to you in a day or so from now. 4.4 TH it what it performs at, so following my suggested $70 per TH idea it would be 0.68 BTC for that one.

Let me know if you are interested.

He's posted elsewhere of where, it is to Pakistan. Just as a heads up Israeli goods are banned from customs clearance in Pakistan so anything that says Israel or that makes it seem that the product is from Israel will need to be removed or it can be confiscated by Pakistani customs. This includes needing to forge customs paperwork saying where the item was produced.

Damn, that is quite sad to hear - the discrimination part. Thanks for the info and the heads up. I will not be forging any customs paperwork so I am going to have to pass on this customer and find someone else.

The discrimination part is a bit sad to hear, but then again they are dealing with huge conflicts and boycotting products.

If the customer wants to send it to a freight forwarder in Canada or the US you might still be able to salvage a sale. In that case you would ship to a local address and they would ship to the final destination on the request of the customer, which that would then be between the customer and the freight forwarder.

374  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Genesis-Mining and Bitcoin reward halving!! on: May 01, 2016, 09:11:20 AM
They cannot provide a definitive answer, seeing as with BTC it could while likely won't, fail. If they say it will be profitable and then it isn't then they can be held liable. Its a risk, you would need do do your own research.

A better way to get a reply would be, what conditions would have to happen for you to no longer pay out? You would be basically asking them at what price is the contract no longer profitable due to fees and that they would no longer pay BTC to contract holders. Divide what you make now by 2 and subtract out their fees for that same time period and  you have your answer.

Another user posted about ghash contracts no  longer being put back up when it was more profitable, the cloud miners say they "mine with equipment" if that is true when the miners are no longer profitable they are sold or disposed of, in business holding inventory / stock actually has a cost and is not free, storage of the units would also be a factor and to prevent any outrageous costs from occurring (if BTC didn't swing back up) they would be forced to "sell" the equipment they have. Any "new" miners would be new equipment on new contracts, as the old contracts are no longer valid new hashrate will be resold.

Yes its a Chat ban. There is nothing in the FAQ rules about asking for help in chat. There moderator Domi tells everyone that has a legit question to put a support ticket in and also to "Ask the Admin" when he is online. How can I ask the admin when I am being banned by the mod when I ask if the Admin is around to help me :/

This has turned into THEFT by yobit FYI to those who have read the thread. I will provide screen shots in a few mins. And will also post in correct sub forum for scams theft etc. Thank you. Still hopefull that what I am seeing is a big flipping mistake if not its def turned into theft.

I followed what I was told by Domi the Moderator until being banned. I am not lying about this nor making false accusations. I was told to Ask the admin. And doing so resulted in my chat ban. This is not the only thing that has pushed me to these accusations. If you give me a minute to post my screenshots you will understand.

I initially did not call this a scam or theft. it was only after I was told that I was spreading disinformation by asking to chat with admin (if you use yobit you know mod says ASK ADMIN.) I was never told not to ask anything via chat even by the moderator. I was banned for spreading false information about yobit. I did not accuse yobit of theft on there chat. I stated one thing. And that was "blacksmith, Admin are you here. I need your help". I never once stated anything about the possibility of theft. This only came up after I was banned and noticed something beyond NOT GOOD. I am still hoping that this is just a huge misunderstanding and if it is I have no problem publicly apologizing to the service and its admin. I honestly like yobit. After I post my screens and you see why I hurried to call foul you will understand. Again I truly hope this is all just a big bug mistake. give me like 5 mins please before I continue to be called a liar etc. if you do not feel my in a hurry HELP is justified after seeing screens then attack away.
How many hours did you wait after the transactions confirmed to submit a support request?

How many hours did you wait after submitting the support request to get a response? (currently 29-30 hours on a weekend from when the block was first confirmed)

How many times did you ask in chat the same question?

Based on block timestamps and forum post times you gave very little time for it to be investigated, and based on another yobit user saying "that was you in the chat" you seem to have been causing an issue or at least asking multiple times.

Hey OP, if you want to get more attention, I suggest you create a thread/move this thread to the "scam accusations" subforum and create a formal complaint, you will get more attention there, and maybe receive help.
I don't believe the OP is telling the full truth and is exaggerating, he claims he was banned for a week, but the ban seems to end within 24 hours. He was told to stop bringing support issues to the chat, and did not listen. As he seems to post right after it happens with a ban for half a day yesterday, I think he submitted the issue by ticket and did not receive an immediate response so began requesting support in chat.

That is why he suggested him to post in "Scam Accusations", so the thread will get more attention and who knows? If the yobit admin joins the discussion, we all will know who's true and who isn't?

@EpyxZ You're not offering a service, this doesn't fit in marketplace.
We can actually determine fairly easily that he did not give them a reasonable amount of time to fix or even look into the issue. This can be calculated by the time the block was found and the time he posted his claim on the forum as well as the times he was banned for asking for support. If he was banned from the chat the same day it occurred, he gave a large exchange less than 24 hours to get to a support ticket, while it also occurring on a weekend.

Should I make a scam accusation against coinbase? An hour ago I had a problem with a withdrawal and they still haven't gotten back to my support ticket. I plan to give them enough time to respond, before throwing accusations around.

@CoinSiteDesigner The OP is commenting on the service provided by Yobit, he believes it to be slow. Without giving Yobit enough time to respond this is not an actual scam accusation, he is just upset with the speed of the service.

I'm thinking of using coinbase(multisig vault) for long term storage as a viable alternative as opposed to holding the keys because of fear of EMPs, losing the neccessary items or simply forgetting.

So how safe is it? I read this https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2kr1qk/coinbase_multisig_vault_not_as_secure_as_you_think/ but is it still valid?

Do you control the private keys?, if you don't then it is not secure.

And yet banned again. This time for a week. For asking DOMI to get ahold of admin to rescan wallet. No big fucking deal. Just my money.

Error
You are banned until 01.05.2016 22:05:00.

- Trust until this is resolved. no response from support. Chat mod keeps banning me to keep this quiet. 25 ltc and 9k Doge GONE.. chat mod needs to be removed. I have done nothing wrong. Banning for asking for the admin when you are missing $100 in coins is fucking ridiculous

If they have a rule where no support is permitted in chat under any circumstance, then you were banned for a legitimate reason. I personally don't use yobit, but if they do have any rule like that or that all support must be done via ticket then you are again in the wrong.

Is your ban just a chat ban?

Difficulty is changed in april about 8%. you can find it here https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty
But the profit is not only depended on the difficulty but also on your hash-rate and the total hash-rate, how many orphaned blocks your pool has mined, pool luck and so on and so on.

As the time passes, the difficulty will increase more and more.

Of course but my point is that the OP said he sees nothing in the profit in the month april. I think that one month difficulty increasing can be compensated by other items. On the long term you will indeed see a decrease in profit.

The OP never said that, the  OP said.
Hello I have a question that I am trying to find answer, but unsuccessfully and was hoping someone could help me in here, The BTC Difficulty was to go up in April, But in my cloud mining rigīs I have not noticed any change in the daily profitīs, will the difficulty only be noticed in a couple of months or will it be visible very soon?
Any answer that will help me clear this issue is welcome!
Thanks
I have not noticed any change in the daily profitīs, April 1 Up .82%, April 14 Up 7.09%, April 28 Down .01%, The adjustment on April 28th did not alter the difficulty by much which made it remain the same, as it remained the same the PPS / daily profits would have also remained the same or not changed.
