The problem with beliefs is that they cannot be disproven. This rules out most of the discussion.

i will be happy when people stop seing bitcoin as a investment and see it as a curentcy

Bitcoin is an investment to the future. However, it is not get-rich-quick scheme in nonbitcoins.
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help on IXCOIN ! on: June 04, 2013, 05:25:51 PM

i still dont know how to do this can you help me ? is it adding to the ixcoin shortcut ?

i am getting this error when i put the command it appear error

the name 'C:\program files\ixcoin2\ixcoin.exe addnode=198.154.60.183` specified in the target box is notvalid make sure the path and the file name are correct.

please help !

You need  a dash before the addnode

C:\program files\ixcoin2\ixcoin.exe -addnode=198.154.60.183

But where are you putting this?  can you type this at the command line.  It should  work from it.

I'm showing zero connections as well.  Can somebody take a look at this and tell me what I'm doing wrong.

So I go to start menu and type in cmd to open up  the small black command window.  The prompt already has the following:  C:\Users\Vlad> and then I type: \downloads\Ixcoin\ixcoin.exe-addnode=198.154.60.183

The response is:  the system cannot find the path specified.

I tried different variations but I get the same response.  I put the ixcoin wallet download in the downloads section and not in the program files because that's where I keep all my other wallets but that shouldn't matter as it's just a location, right?

I may be  putting this command in the completely wrong place but that's the only place I know which has a command line.  Any help is appreciated.  TIA.

Try adding extra space before dash. ie. not "C:\downloads\Ixcoin\ixcoin.exe-addnode=198.154.60.183" but "C:\downloads\Ixcoin\ixcoin.exe -addnode=198.154.60.183".
If it again cannot find the path try "cd\downloads\Ixcoin" and then "ixcoin.exe -addnode=198.154.60.183".
365  Economy / Economics / Re: What happens if some1 rich buys it all? on: May 31, 2013, 06:05:15 AM
This might work... If you can achieve and maintain "amazing product" monopoly on free market. But I do not think that real monopoly is possible without state cooperation.
366  Economy / Economics / Re: What happens if some1 rich buys it all? on: May 30, 2013, 08:15:32 PM
What happens when some super rich buys all the land and houses in a country?
(Considering the government does not cooperate with this rich one, that means only way of buying is voluntary exchange and not for example state tolerated blackmailing, bribing authority and police, usage of force, etc.)

You can earn bitcoins simply by providing goods or services which are valuable for other BTC owners.
If you want to take fiat out of equation, replace BTC owners with miners. (You can earn bitcoins simply by providing goods or services which are valuable for miners.) Then enlarge this set by everyone who sells something to the miners. Then enlarge this set by everyone who sells something to anyone mentioned in previous sentence. ... Repeat until you are happy.
If you are still unhappy then I guess you ask and yearn for a system of some fair distribution of bitcoins not determined by individual egoisim and greed of above mentioned iteratively growing set (enlarged by people "rich" in fiat). I hope Bitcoin will never becomes such "fair" system, it will be its death.
What you ask for can be theoretically achieved by forking (cloning) Devcoin with "this time the right group of elites". If it can be indeed achieved practically in larger group than a community then Karel Marx was probably right.

Edit: Concerning your

script that judges how many shares something is worth, or if we need a script at all (Democratic voting)
No one have created a script, a program or even formulated an algorithm which would be able to judge worth of humans achievements. (Although philosophers are trying to formulate such principles for over 2000 years. And as cpt. Picard said, there is no greater challenge than study of philosophy. :-])
As for democratic voting... I always wonder that (most) people understand that two wolves and a sheep can not democratically vote "What is for dinner?". But they do not understand that a horde of starving poor (underpayed, exploited, dying children, fairly deserving, etc.) and one rich hoarder of wheat can not democratically vote "What is for dinner?" either.
(I wonder if they understand that ten thousand wolves and one sheep can not democratically vote either.)
368  Economy / Economics / Re: Hmm... is it time to crash BTC exchange rates yet? on: May 30, 2013, 07:20:39 PM
I think BTConomist theories are built on assertion that it is possible to monopolize mining or at least that it is somehow possible for decisively big proportion of miners to collude or to follow common goal which goes against interests of majority of BTC Economy.
I simply do not share this assertion in the longer than short-term.

...
I have initiated a recovery process whereby anyone that received a double dividend will see a balance reduction of whichever was the lesser of the two dividends.
...

Personally, I have no problem with that.
I would also expect that your "lesser dividend selection algorithm" will not fail if both dividends are exactly the same to the single Satoshi. :-]. This is my case.

371  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transferring BTC on: May 17, 2013, 12:20:20 PM
If I transfer BTC from an exchange to my wallet which is on an offline computer, what happens? I will bring it back up in a week but what happens to the BTC, do they not send or stay still? Thanks.

They still transfer. All you need is a wallet.dat Smiley Don't lose it. You'll lose your wallet if your "wallet.dat" gets deleted.

Is it a solution to copy wallet.dat than save it somewhere in the cloud? (like GDrive, or DropBox?) Thx!

Yes it is. But the wallet.dat should be encrypted! Anyone who has access to unencrypted wallet.dat (or is able to decrypt it) have access to your bitcoins in that wallet.
You can encrypt it in the bitcoin program or you can encrypt it independently (or both). Do not loose/forget the password!

This has nothing to do with luck. It is just probability.
In the long term you will always loose. In the short term you can make some money if you are smart and understand mathematics.
