Heres the important question. Can you implant the features the community wants and how much BTC will it cost us. We needed a new wallet months ago and want to add new features to make Whitecoin more attractive to everyone.
You really didn't read my post, did you? Right, So I'll take that as a no. So shall we start looking for another programmer? Other than one who makes a smug appearance every few months... What are the bounty limits we are willing to spend for the features we want? The way you treat me, I treat you. I do not think this is the time to get into discussions of "you did this, I said that .. etc", the reality is that currently WC is working properly and that improvements need to give a greater potential to this coin. The programming is very complex (I started very many years ago in basic, pascal and delphi later years though since I left) and anyone who has ever programmed knows it is very difficult to give an eta or promise some results because basically almost impossible to know the problems that you'll have to find the path that must be solved. That said, I think what we need is some way to access some improvements and I only would like to know your opinion about what you can and can not do and the funding needed to undertake these improvements. regards |

On the one hand we try to check as a foundation in Canada with visibility and legality that implies on the other hand we have to create a coin "companion" to hide from the world? I understand that Whitecoin Foundation (and with this answer has Cryptohunter without dwelling too) need resources for proper operation and also I find it almost embarrassing to have only a little more than 500000 WCs to undertake projects for the benefit of WC, even providing funding if necessary, and not only to spend it on projects for WC, but also as payment for services rendered by Mogonzo, DEVs, etc ... Maybe we should ALL scratching a little pocket and provide the funding necessary to address all the challenges that lie ahead WC. That said I think the biggest challenge we have to rush WC is the promotion, get sites where you can buy with WC, has found us, I believe that is the most important for any currency that claims to have real value in the future. |

Let's use the WC people pay with for the WOC coins for development and marketing. Same for the 6 million WOC pot.
These pots can be monitored with alerts so if the coins are moved with out community consultation the markets for wc and woc can be shut down.
Let's get on with it. WOC must be an amazing coin or don't even bother since it is not amazing in every way with a great anon whitepaper, sms wallets all the bells a whistles then it is not worth starting.
However if it looks great people will buy it and we will have the development funds to push out something amazing.

WOC brings nothing to WC unless it is created as a tool WC and accessible only through it.
Its launch if it is not subject to that link with WC, is similar to dozens of coins continuously born and ever more implementations and development and I see no reason that it should "inherit" the community WC community. I think we should focus on improving what we have (and we've invested) to improve their marketing, and their adoption by the general public which is what will really give a value to WC.

Notwithstanding the SAT was more concrete than would CENT.
Had 7.7 billion of SATs and SAT2 were created with a premine 100% bone 7,700,000. For CENT the problem is that we do not know how many actually circulating whereby a hypothetical premine of 49 billion (if we think like many, many of these coins have been lost) would premine worrying.

We know how many coins have been created but it's impossible to know how many have been destroyed by way of wallet deletion/corruption etc. In all likelyhood Cryptsy's wallet(s) probably hold the majority of coins that have ever been created. Any coins not reissued from a premine of a relaunched coin could be dumped to an unrecoverable address after a specific deadline. It's been done before. Why the need for a whole new brand at all? Just call it Pennies v2 (CENT2) and use the same logo. It worked just fine for Saturncoin, cryptsy just announced they completed a division by 1000 on the SAT coins they held and opened a new market to trade the converted coins:   Why reinvent the wheel? Hey Everyone,
I'm happy to report I just gave my first mainstream media interview for WhiteCoin. I sent out a press release announcing ourselves to the Canadian media earlier this morning, and response seems good so far. Keep an eye out on google news to see if others pick this up. Yes, exactly. DO NOT changed the name and logo. Only chance of getting back on Cryptsy is with a v2 of Pennies. CENT2 sounds great to me and like Petr1fied said, there is now a precedent at Cryptsy to get it done.

We need to stimulate WC to more buying and selling. Great new coin features to stimulate buying, and (more) places to spend WC for goods/services to stimulate selling/spening. And focus our promotions on that area. Please stop promoting to hold, don't reward staking/holding any more than the stake itself, the real reward should be in buying and selling(spending). I'm not an expert in the field, I don't really have an idea to accomplish this, but for a community coin with lots of ideas, we can get places, right? Apps, games, whatever to throw WCs at.

Heres an idea. How about the only way you can mint WOC would be from the POS of holding WC? Essentially replacing the POS reward from WC to WOC. That way it encourages buyers to buy and hold WC so they can get WOC. The maximum amount of WOC could be equivalent to the 2% stake of the total WC (currently 302,655,967) So basically 6,053,119.34 WOC could be minted every year.

See my biggest issue with ANON is tax evasion shit and getting the gov't all down on us because we enable it with WC...

If protection of the currency itself is the top priority meaning, when ISP's crack down and go against Net Neutrality (they decide what you can surf, how much you pay for premium content, regulate what flows through their internet fiber etc.), wouldn't it be in Crypto's best interest to have a mechanism in place to over come this?
Simply put:
1. Put a "privacy" switch inside of WC wallet
2. This then switches to a "Tor" type network
3. ISP's cannot mess with this type of traffic therefore the transactions will be solid and live on
if you want to, throw up a mixer and use that in conjunction with "Privacy"
I think this type of thinking would align with The WCF mandate to fight the good fight, we will then partner up with my buds over fighting for our rights for Net Neutrality... could make this happen VERY FAST if we want to imo, now i haven't talked to Mindfox (WCF's CTO) in detail about this process however IMO, if we are not trying to hide anything and its not going to compromise the blockchain at all, then this approach would have my vote...

And now what happend in next quarter an hour: a) setup.exe - does nothing, i started to be suspicious its a virus - hard restart the computer to safe what i can b) everything looks fine, now my Mintpal account logged out - i had my pwd stored in Chrome, just logged back again c) everything looks fine, Mintpal acc logged me out again - logged back in and FCUK - all my WC were gone d) i tought its a mintpal fault, they had restart sth - therefore the logouts - i tought it will be fine in a few mins e) wrote to #whitecoinfoundation IRC - but nobody has those problems f) starting to investigate what was happening g) obviously I have sold all my WhiteCoins for the price 125-122 satoshi...nice but where are the BTC? h) BTC were traded for DarkCoins at the lowest offer i) DRK were withdrawed to some guys wallet (not mine) and confirmed using my email j) there is no confirmation email, even in trash k) tracking the DRK wallet using the blockexplorer and the coins were sent half an hour after that to Cryptsy wallet l) probalby traded there for clean and clear BTC.
