Thoughts on shift now after the big price drop with all the coins?
It sucks, Shift is down way more than many other coins, so I expect a big rebound once the market turns positive, hopefully later this week. Consider it as an open invitation into Shift for new investors. Shift team has already managed to deliver a working product, and the actual price is undervalued. I have increased my position in Shift for a third of original portion. (thanks for for the fire sale!  ) That is good for you but not many of investors are going to spend their money here. Even bitcoin cash has more chances of attracting bees than Shift but it also has no great number of supporters. When it comes to choosing an altcoins, people go for Ethereum, Neo, Litecoin, Monero, Ethereum Classic, Waves or Ripple. Then there is bitcoin which is a must investment.Only a person that plans to hold more than 10 altcoins may include Shift into his portfolio. So we should invest by following he herd? Sure you will get average gains. But by investing in small coins like Shift you may get spectacular gains once it's protocol gains traction. Those coins you mentioned likely won't give you a 100x from here anytime soon, but Shift could. |

I hear the Sia team and binance are in negotiations. However binance wants a 50BTC payment for the listing. Still many new miners want Sia on binance, so we will see if that has any influence. Posting "I hear" on forum means nothing in reality, right? Hope you didn't not hear this from the team as Binance has a policy not to disclose anything regarding listing until it's official. Sorry guys, but for me SC had time to rise the price, and this time (as for now) already gone. I'm not saying that this is bad investition to buy SC, but in my opinion, (in this situation) it is very long term perspective to earn with this coin. Sorry to say, but it is what i think..

I do plan on selling it when it reaches certain price and buy again when it dips,but no plan on cashing out.I think I need to really understand this bullshit tax rules before tax season comes.
FYI, as as soon as you sell, even if you rebuy later, it is a taxable event. Untill you cashout you do not have to pay tax on your earning. That is so simple. In the US if you trade from one crypto to another, it is a taxable event. It is not considered a like kind exchange. The US gov passed a law explicitly stating like kind crypto trades are taxable for 2018. |

I put 90% of my cash into BTC in year 2014. I still hold them. I do not want cash in what I believe.
Well, the good thing is that you don’t have too and since your earnings are very high I doubt anyone in his right mind will sell their bitcoins with the only exception if you want to sell just to buy more bitcoin when the price decreases. Still all in. |

cause ASICs are "printing" out so many SC and an inflation is logical, isn't it? The number of coins created has not changed, only the difficulty has. Usually increased difficulty in mining leads to a higher price. Give it some time. |

Do I understand correctly that the next stage (GAS amount reducing by 1 token) will be after next 100 000 blocks or ~105 days? Current block is 1,899,900.
That is correct, it will be reduced to 7 GAS per block until the next reduction. However, keep in mind once the NEO platform is used with significance, GAS fees collected will also be redistributed to NEO holders. |

Sia is a very perspective coin.
But it never will cost a lot )))
Imagine a future time when many digital assets will need to be stored online in a highly decentralized, private, and secure manor. A time when SIA is a polished product and a natural fit for these needs. As life goes more digital we will want to store more of our digital self's in this manor, and we may have a lot of data. Sia could fill this need so I beg to differ; think about the future, not the now, and the future is happening fast! |

I know all market is down but sia drop in price toooo much..
Man everything is like -40-50% in the last 7d. :-( Everything will be +50% in next 10 to 15 days  But we need 100% gains to make up 50% losses. Still, this is crypto, will just HODL. |

Only a small fraction of Shift managed to get out, but there was some ARK, LISK and BTC on the hacked personal PC in cause. It sounds like they didn't even do basic security like encrypting passwords, I hope they learned from this. |

Now it's the US's turn. One day is left for decision of Senate Banking Commitee on crypto regulations. This is going to be deciding moment for crypto community. Does the Trump office have influence on them?
I think the US they are mainly concerned about ICO's and lets face it there is a fair share of scam ones out there. Regulation can also bring legitimacy as well. I am not too concerned about these senate meetings. |

I'm very disappointed in SHIFT.
While all coins are dropping due to corrections, SHIFT is seriously losing ground a lot more than the other coins. It's not far from being down to its price 6 months ago.
I will not sell yet because everything is in red. I will wait until it recovers but after that I'm out. The coin is painfully slow and there are competitors which have either overtaken it or about to overtake it.
No problem, sell if you are impatient. What they are building is complex and won't happen overnight. What they are building will deliver a great need for the world. I will hodl, I don't care about natural market fluctuations like the one we are currently in, it is good for purging the weak hands. |

hello, I still use the antshares wallet but it doenst open anymore for some reason. I downloaded the neon wallet but dont know how to move my funds to neon wallet? I cant upload my wallet.db file anymore. How do I get my old wallet imported in the new one ?

First backup your wallet.db. Then install the new neo-gui, I think it is version 2.6. Then open up the wallet.db with the new neo-gui and it should prompt you to convert the database to a new type of file. Say yes, and you should be all set. |

NEO is a 100% premined coin, isnt it? Why is it so exciting? ETH already does everything it doesand. No? O and ETH is mine-able to its a fair distribution. Unike NEO that is 100% mined by its founder and he is the sole distributor of it and selling every single coin and collecting the BTC. People are so dumb. There was an ICO for 1/2 the coins and investors were fully aware of the coin distribution in advance. Having a large amount of funds for development, marketing and partnerships is a good thing at the scale they are aiming for. Also they have not been dumping their shares. This is no pump and dump org. |
