The new self appointed "takeover dev" mat5x who has NO permission whatsoever to touch it, also has not replied to any of my PM's!
From what I gather reading his "stuff all" posts on this forum, he seriously has no idea what he's doing, and has took it upon himself that he can just walk in and takeover elacoin.
This is BS, I have been supporting/mining this coin for over 3 months!!! I know all coins are down across the board since a week after MT Gox shut down, but I have never seen elacoin drop to the prices they are at now. This has been the most stable coin I have ever mined, that's why I put my money and equipment into it.
What Im trying to say is that the context of his last comments were basically saying he was going to mess with the algo. What the fuck for, I have no idea! Again who is this idiot???
Well about 3-4 days after that was posted my mining quota that I get, because remember I've been mining it for 3 months suddenly dried up!!!
I cannot even begin to tell you how frustrating this is!! I have spent over 5K on equipment and have had a good return from mining eleacoin, only to have this total stranger and newbie walk in and stuff up all I have done.
This is total BS. I am quickly losing all interest for anything to do with mining whatsoever and advocating to others to stay away!
I have never read so much BS from daydreamers in my life! I finally got a system worked out that pays my electricity bill and some fucking noob comes in and destroys it!

The situation in Ukraine and Crimea is deteriorating quickly. It's possible we will see a similar situation like Cyprus, although the price action may not be similar.
Cyprus? You know that people buying bitcoin in Cyprus last year during the crisis was a myth , right? Yes it was "already in-game players" who caused the price rise due to that event . So why would it be different with a bigger crisis looming ahead: Economic sanctions against russia .This would have major economic and political repercussions worldwide. I just don't think that people will buy the story once again. The china hyped turned against us , the April bubble could have burst with bitcoin at 5$ if gox hadn't turned the trades off. Nothing good is coming out of those mad man bull runs. Besides , with all the repercussions , I doubt people will think about bitcoins , more about their job and family. |

I will say one thing if you click your, "Show unread posts since last vist" The amount of [ANN]bullshitcoin, crapcoin, dumbasscoin, ext is very very ridiculous. I can only guess some fool made a opensouce coin code and every stupid newb is doing it just like the ponzi's.

to sum up what happened the last days for those who missed it (some asked already):
1) takeicoin project got a message of brad takei asking for not beeing affiliated with it and 5 minutes later of edie windsor lawyers wanting edie removed from the website - takeicoin immediately shuts down takeicoin twitter and the website
2) 4 hours later takeicoin tells people in the forum what happened, after i asked him to do so in IRC. he claims the takeicoin project is over and apologizes for everyone who lost money. he claims he lost money too.
3) a few hours later he claims someone wants to buy the coin and rebrand it, and makes consecutive statements about selling the coin to someone who wants to rebrand it
4) a little later he claims he wants to help the new buyers with the rebranding
5) some days later he claims he will rebrand the coin anyway "if the buyer doesn't follow through", with his own and bigger team
6) a little later after i asked him he claims the buyer didn't buy it and now he rebrands it himself with a great team and everything will be perfect
Well , that kind of shows what is in place for this coin. |

I'm looking for less known coins , that haven't yet hit the news , but still have some potential , cons that have stayed below radar for most people or have become more or less abandoned. Are there still things going on with this?
I am mining this coin but don't see a lot going on with it at the moment. Could be I am mistaken or could be it is due for a resurrection. It could use a block explorer (if it doesn't already have one) to be added to any of the bigger exchanges. Well , the op was here around Last Active: March 15, 2014, 11:49:55 PM , but there are very few people around. |

update: I have contacted every exchange i know of. MET can currently be voted on Mintpal, Cryptorush, and a new exchange: https://www.icurrex.com, which is in alpha. Also, I received a response from Cryptsy. They said they will take the coin into consideration, which means it has a chance to reach the vote page. ALSO: for those who are unfamiliar with SPH-SGMINER: Metacoin can be mined using sgminer, which is a gpu miner, using sgminer.exe -k quarkcoin sgminer can be found at: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=475795note the miner is experimental but it works Also, I have changed the main super-node to 162.243.33.157, which should help sync. Sorry for the lack of responses I have been busy with other stuff  The rumors of Dev abandonment are false! So it seems , let's see if he is willing to continue working for this coin and not dropping it in one day. |

Do you still have a balance in the mining pool? Have you updated your wallet? Have you run -recheck on the wallet? Have you contacted the mining pool?
