Isn't TAP highly depended on the Iraq and Middle east output and the situation there also? There is only one confirmed donor to the TAP. That is Azerbaijan. If they can get another country, either Turkmenistan or Iraq, then the pipeline will become viable. But the situation in Northern Iraq is a bit volatile at this point of time and there are no plans for a pipeline yet.  Thanks for the info. But seriously we need a few English maps here. Something wrong with the wallet IRC says it's the block explorer, not the wallet. on poloniex they are say it's a wallet sync issue and they are looking at it no they aint.. what?? lol They stated its a blockexplorer issue... As I understand it, BC has 10 second confirmations and you wait for 10 confirmations to be sure it can't be reversed. This is correct? So a payment at a retailer will be confirmed without risk to the retailer in 1min 40 seconds?
Receiver will have to decide how many confirmations he needs before the payment is considered accepted. If you buy a cup of coffee, it is possible you wouldn't require confirmations at all. When buying something more expensive you could require 20 confirmations. Or if the buyer looks like he can run fast, and there is little distance between the register and the street door.  There is no magical number of confirmations after which the risk disappears totally, but it is reduced after each one. At least that's how I've understood it. EDIT: haha this thread runs so fast that as soon as I've finished writing my reply there are already 5 answers. So where does the 10 second transaction confirmation fit in? Surely, the headline for one confirmation should be 30 second average transaction confirmation, for low cost items. It could be 1 second but it could be 60 seconds. Well, whatever the time is, it's still the fastest out of all coins, right? And this will all be dealt with later. That's a way later stage.That is not that easy unfortunately. The IPO has ended 24 hours, and the DEV has not shown yet. It's absolutely abnormal.
His last activity is April 16, 2014, 08:11:05 PM.
He did not leave any message. I send a pm to him before the end of ipo, but got nothing.
It's certainly odd that dev hasn't made a recent post considering the IPO has recently ended. I would expect a post stating the IPO is now over, and summarising the IPO (BTC invested direct and escrow, plus anticipated qora per BTC). Plus updating the first post so nobody tries to invest. But nobody should have expected it to launch right after IPO. Dev stated clearly that this wouldn't be for at least two weeks: The release will not be for atleast 2 weeks but should be within a month.
There is still lots that needs to be done to make it a little bit user-friendly.
When is the claiming shares phase expected to start?
On the release which should be within a month. That looks just like time to pack things up and disappear. how many BTCs were invested rather scammed?

So , they are just sent on a work camp in another country. I wonder if they have the rights to leave the city they are deployed to No. They don't have any such relocation rights. They are mostly deployed in the poorer neighborhoods. They can't relocate themselves to the posh localities and earn more money. I'm pretty sure that none of them is thinking about relocating , but more about fleeing the country and get into the US or Canada. |

There are already games out there that promote kindness and familiy values in a subtle way, without actually stating it as a goal.
I start getting weary when a government starts stating such goals.
But based on your assumption ,we have to tackle everything that a government does as a possible threat to our liberty , pockets , minds? Not exactly tackle, but governments tend to have a nasty track record in those areas, so any such initiative automatically raises a few red flags and blows a few whistles. Worrying that much about what the government is planning to do will get you killed faster from stress than they can do it. |

Why anyone would buy until the dust settles on China is beyond me. Almost feels like throwing your money away. And no I'm not a greedy bear, I'm not a trader and never sold, just holding and accumulating. But I'm not optimistic about any breakouts until China is done banning, and might be hard to do without them.

Why would you feel safe there? Most likely at that point someone will post a message in Chinese which causes everyone to absolutely completely totally panic and sell their coins.
If you hold BTC you can always feel safe. Because no matter what China news 1 BTC=1 BTC , right? |

Because the DIFF is good enough to mine solo. Have been solo mining it for a while. Just very frustrating to see the 1000000 in the wallet just to have it orphan. Other coins I have never had blocks orphan (OK, when it's launched, but that is expected). But just way too many orphans with this coin.
Just how many orphans you've got that you claim that there are too many? I had well over a dozen in about a 12 hour period. In the past 24 hours I have only had 3. I can deal with a few now and then... Sorry but taking into account 12 hours and the block time a dozen orphans is inside the normal and unlucky range. |

Since we all got here anyway maybe it would make sense to make something of it. For example we can do at least a simple fork of Nxt. Like Nas. At least it's something. People will get coins, nobody lost money. Additionaly to 10B planned coins we can release 1B dev fund and 1B marketing fund. Is there any chance we can have a couple of develoreprs that can do such thing?
Why should somebody create a coin for the people that invested in a fake ipo? Whit this kind of userbase ... the coin is doomed. Besides , if somebody from the investors knew how to do this , they wouldn't be investors in a coin , they would have already launched it. Just some thoughts out loud. I guess you right. Well, how about that. We can make a coin for those who sent money to Anon. We were mindful, we're good initial investors and obviously we wanted to get into new coin. If others would agree we could find a developer for those 46 Btc, could we? You might not have 46 BTC to play with, as some escrowed investors would likely pull out. Some options would be: 1. Create PoS bitcoin clone 2. Create NXT clone 3. Create coin as asset within NXT 4. Create coin as asset with XCP Any of those could be done for considerably less than 46 BTC. But I'm with niothor on this one; I'm not sure such a coin would be in demand. Best example to clear things up. 200 000 coins or more , god knows how many BTC and how many $ vanished on mtgox.
