I'm not looking forward to this. Without a surefire plan to capitalize on these fork coins, short term seems doomish. I myself never time this stuff correctly, I just HODL I think there will be FUD and a 1/3 correction, like other waves in BTC's past, this due to the Segwit2x+2mb attempted fork...it will likely survive as an ALT.....muddy'ing the waters with 3 now flavors of BTC claiming they are "the one" thus usual....pump it up....then pump up the FUD ..drive it down and buy at the bottom So will let the present hoard ride..since 2013 onward, .and if I am (unfortunately correct about the above) buy when it dumps 1/3 in price, as it has in the past before the next "go around" to yet another future All-Time High... rinse/wash/repeat (how the btc whales splash in the crypto ocean..pump/fud/buy) |

difficulty wont go more then 50 mil so it will be 3.5 usd day without electricity  at least i will be making that amount  free electricity for me but other folks who have to pay for electricity they will be screwed some even wont get any revenue It will mathematically impossible for the Dash network to reach "50 M ". At some point waaaay south of that difficulty, a LOT of people that over paid for D3 Servers and are overpaying for Kwh, will be forced off the network because they will be mining at a loss. It's a game of attrition now. The same has happened in BTC and will happen in ALL crypto POW protocols. It's the nature of the beast. Man this hysteria is getting.....well......Hysterical. I'm bullish for long term BTC, and will only support the original Core Chain, but the times are very uncertain and locking in some profits now is probably a wise move, (TBH I've already completed a sell, as I don't want to get caught in a rush for the door).
Im still weighing these options, not decided yet: 1] to sell BTC now, in case bitcoin+b2x will go down, and after the fork both BTC+b2x will not add up to current price-so it would be cheaper to buy them after that 2]keep my BTC until I get b2x forked coins and then try to dump both as fast as possible, and wait. - the risk is it can drop down much faster before I'll be able to sell. 3] do nothing and keep both BTC and b2x indefinitely, hoping for the best. but i don't want to support any rogue fork or bitcoin takeover attempt.- therefore i would rather be out of BTC completely than hold b2x. 4] get out of all cryptos to fiat temporarily and wait for the dust to settle. (there is a chance alts will go deep down after BTC fork as well as bitcoin.) and reload later. 5] hedge with some alts (diversification) - may be risky as well. Some altcoins may pump hard though --- aditional possible options: *short BTC - but it would be against my "no BTC shorting" rule #1 of trading *spend some bitcoin for hardware and stuff, before it (possibly) drops. atm I still think we may see another ATH before fork, as people will panic buy, so they can get free b2x forked coins. ( hedging against the the takeover/death of BTC) The original chain Will survive The original chain is Just under attack Thats all To get more free coins If SegwitX2 has more hashrate iT doenst mean that Will survive still, think it is a plot so slam the price down to like 3k a bitcoin...even if these forks fail...likely price will reflect cheap coin as the fallback option if they can't win the chain from bitcoin core |

This D3 reminds me of the Antminer S2, S3 and the Terraminer from 2014.

Could you please tell more about that , what happened at 2014 ? Well as one example ..knc made Neptune sha-256 bitmain machines...took crypto/cash 10 months or so in advance...then took the pre-order $$$ and filled thier data halls up with equip...driving up difficulty to the point of when the Neptunes shipped about 7 months late .....they lasted about 4-5 months and maybe got 1/4 of their ROI back further folk who sued them under Swedish law LOST. Seems in Sweden, businesses are not covered by EU consumer protection...KNC got the courts to agree caused they mined crypto...they could ONLY be business equipment .(even though they did not advertise as such) and WON furhter more if you lose under Swedish court..you lost the 1.5k each unit to file with the lawyers and you had to pay I think up to 2k to KNC for damages too boot there are about 9 other instances of these kinda games where the corporation went bankrupt or something and walked with all the crypto..common as hell BFL/GAW miners/Alpha-Tech come to mind...all persons involved walked with crypto....the corporation took the hit if bankrupt or law enforcement don't think the rules have changed all that much...we could be in for another cycle of this kinda thing perhaps...er wait...no other crypto mnfg's of any note but bitmain...er never mind..only bitmain's tune now can be played |

yeah..my plan on mining like hell and hoarding LTC with my ROI'd equip till May 1st...seems like the way to go ...( a dubious plan..but a plan) they just are not frigging gonna stop.....the toaster train will continue by bitmain and of course, if LTC price was to jump to $100 bucks ..they would suddenly again, IMHO, have 'firmware issues' mysteriously (like last time may 2017) when the firmware fixed supposed machines arrive will show firmware 6 months previous as just dandy (as when fixed showed Jan firmware date on my machines) I see no prudent angle on getting bitmain equip of any flavor..it has evolved beyond rigged...and hell I can use the equip deductions too boot...still won't float.... If your view is that LTC is gonna pump to $100 bucks...just mine with what you got till the diff kills them or buy LTC .... why get dubious toaster level dumps of bitmain equip from now till may 1st say 2018 ..with corresponding dumps in price ...just to wiz in the bathtub and dilute your kool-aid crypto dreams no competition means no angle I can play, esp with bitmain having 90% of all asic markets now....of any crypto flavor be it sha-256/scrypt-pow/and/or x11..and again....they can only it seems pump out units in mass every 2 weeks the only way they know how to do this 'toasters' |

it is hard for folk to get their head around btc with its price etc per btc concept and the fact that it went from $750 to $7500 usd in 1 year the main problem is ...they see it as a bubble like the internet dot com bubble the difference is the folk who made the protocol for the internet .the VALUE was NOT in the protocol of the internet...it was in the APPS and tools used on such with adoption thus when you bet on the wrong software or tools or app's on such ...when the dot com bubble blew up..the value went with those things with cyrypto and BTC as a protocol to move change....like the concept of borderless money and such the value is NOT in the made applications or tools to define its use...the value CONTINUES TO ACCUMULATE in the protocol itself .ie the block chain or price of BTC or whatever other crypto of choice...it can take a hit on a failed project..but with adoption and other projects ...thus not as risky imho thus.....in crypto or bitcoin's case....the protocol is all and adoption...with tools apps etc running 2nd place as the money maker...the sum of all the apps and adoption adds value to BTC and your crypto of choice.....the choice of applications/tools and such..those can fade and come back..as long as protocol and adoption continue for work with BTC and crypto of choice...failure can still happen ..but less a bubble and more a rocket imho (biased) or how my muddled brain looks at it |

All I know about bitconnect coin..is it shows up mining on the ALGO of Prohashing a LOT....probably 40% of mining profits come from that ONE coin for scrypt-pow.
I myself have all my mining capacity going to paid out in LTC as my bet to pump..eventually...if BTC can keep at least say 5k to 6k range if not more

however, likely if it is a scam...prohashing and other pools are keeping the coin up .....if it is a scam...with how it is setup/promoted etc so yeah.....I can see
where holding the coin could be 'iffy as hell'
anyway, a consideration on why this coin's price is pumping .....it is at this point of time ..it seems very desirable to mine by various crypto pools algorithms
(the ways of future SkyNet crypto pools algorithms are mysterious to me ..in what they mine/pump/etc)

Yeah ..again my premise...if BTC sticks at say over 6k to 7k or even as low as 5k....and LTC does not pump to at least $100 bucks (pessimistic) I have some doubts about hardware asic mining of any flavor be it sha-256/scrypt-pow/or x11 ..at least at a level we small guys can buy and afford to run such equip at a profit Historically, with BTC between 6K and 7k ...pessimistically we should be at least at 150 usd LTC if not 300 usd LTC Thus my bet....440 to go to hit 1,000 LTC and holding on the above bet..... I have an OK hoard of BTC so can't see putting all my current mining into that for a 30% to 40% correction like BTC has done in the past...it will come back but likely outside of my (pessimistic) may 1st 2018 mining deadline to accumulate LTC this my next hoard bet ( I also have other alts) just looking at my best use of the next 6 months of mining and the assumption that bitmain will make all my scrypt pow by that time ...space heaters thus my bet others w/o other resources or hoards in cypto take this with a grain of salt the safest mining now of any asic flavor imho due to price/difficulty/etc imho is ATTIC MINING ... 1) clean out attic sell all junk on eBay...(in my case would be 5k of crap easy..) 2) put in BTC or other crypto and HODL 3) add floor in my case to attic and capet (2k) and paint etc pool table bar etc 4)Attic is now added rec room to house...value of house goes up 10k due to empty attic 5) all crypto tanks to tulips from your attic mining ...you still doubled your money but really, it is a boring way to get $$$ you don't need to dump into crypto...what I would do BEFORE guessing on any home miners at this point especially if you are at my 12c kWh rate...it just don't cut it anymore at that elec rate and again, take my LTC bet with caution..I have mining and $$$ I can afford to lose on such a bet on this thread's premise...so be aware stacked deck in my favor on this bet.....won't hurt *much* if I'm wrong |

They promised their minerbox solution this last Summer ...no show They said previously to this that coupons would apply to future Sia coin obelisk orders......(I have 5) now they say only 1 coupon per unit ...I'm not getting another 5 They also will not allow a swap of a siacoin miner pre-ordered for this DCRD unit ........even thou same price Lastly, they pop'd out this DCRD on like Nov 2nd or some such ...and will only allow it for pre-sale till Nov 24th and are unclear WTF presale means...they still say they are gonna sell 4000 units of each So out of my approx 12.5k invested...it is likely I will take a loss on these...with me looking at profit rate 50% to the tax man, unless I found some equip to apply that 50% too instead ...I'd pay either way...why not apply it to dubious equip at a 25% in real $$$ risk this year due to high tax on mining income? Hi. Today I recieved information about my november batch was shipped, but package is only antminers without PSU's Anyone had similiar issues? Yep..the PSU's on the same order...folks seem to say are consistently 2-3 weeks later .....bitmain you have to 'love em' .... they just must bounce out of bed every morning.....with 'evil glee' to start the day on how to muck us up......(glad someone is having a good time) |

I sent it...I advice everyone to send complaints because they cannot abandon the buyers...the profit can go down, okay, but they cannot leave buyers who have spent $ 2,000 (with customs charge) Also open a ticket...everyone...this D3 is a total failure They don't care.....they won't reply....there is NO chance......it is how bitmain has always rolled.....hell when LTC price went from 4.15 to 20-30 bucks at the start they literally took my eastshore orders out of the truck and back to the plant....so the eastshore rep said...eastshore lost at least a million on that stunt on the shipping dock yanked back.... and they kept them for 6 weeks because of firmware errors, but really to stop seg witness on LTC and the firmware arrived dated Jan 2017! yeah right, filled the data halls they owned again my point, not a chance in hell they will listen to anybody... and if LTC price goes up to $100 bucks I"m sure there will be another 'firmware problem' as they stock up their data halls again its how bitmain IS as a corporate culture |

why do you think 50 mil is aMAX ? because of quantity they sold, and after last batch which was 1 month ago there was no other batch and it seems they won't sell anymore so far. approximately 100k units was sold it will give around 45mil difficulty + other company miners that will give us 50 mil +- 2 mil it doent make sense to produce additional units to sell, unless something changes in good way they made max quantity wish some profit possible and screwed other manufacturers pretty sure release of D3 was aimed to kill competition 50 mil is max for now at least for 3-4 months imho, they will sell more...they will simply dump the price down to say 900 bucks or some such...the bitmain toaster train will continue..again imho Congratulation to all D3 owner, you now have a very expensive heater lol

i think better to bet on bitcoin in the long run. We all know BTC will steadily increase in price/ what we can't say about other coins. I agree..but BTC tends to have waves...where BTC goes up high and retracts (for a bit) 30% or more I think BTC is going to hit 10k and then correct again 30% plus...before consoidating and moving on IF i think LTC will increase in price by 2x or 3x in that same period and I'm mining 5 LTC a day...well...thus my bet eventually, this LTC may move to BTC also...I'm just saying...I'd like to hit 1,000 LTC again (440 to go) by say May 2018 and damn would I be a happy camper if it went to 100/150 or hopefully 300 usd per LTC (hey a guy can dream) worse case...LTC tends to dump LESS as a % historically than when BTC corrects...so hell, I'd just hold it a bit longer for the next go around or so it has seemed to me since 2013 |

Unfortunately our dreams don't count no word on that x11 helium coin yet? probably won't make anything on that either but at least on a launch I could have LOTS... (hey, lots of dubious coin crypto on a usb, takes up less room than hoarding cats...in my old age.....) Searing, I think they are going to launch fairly soon. They're still working on the wallet and the network, but I don't expect it to take much longer. Maybe they'll release it in a few weeks. (I hope.) You deserve a god payday. As I said, you can't always mine unicorn gold poop....I did great this year.....and again..if I mine the x11 to LTC (and hopefully LTC doubles) and count my Baikal 300mh cube (made like 1.5k on that) and this 2nd D3 arriving this week...well...I MIGHT break even on equipment (man what a sorry hope) but that would be w/o electric included and my equip depreciation etc to the tax man tossed in..this would be lumping all my x11 profits for the year together..again be very, very lucky to get ROI (w/o electric that would be a loss) re-read above the unicorn dreams a person will do ...for the sole sake of eqo protection anyway, what I'm doing ..mining it on prohash with the rest of my scrypt pow miners to all to LTC...so LTC Is my bet...it better pop to 100 or 150 usd (it if pops to 150 I'm probably golden on the x11's (again w/o electric) quicker but that is my bet....if, imho, LTC say can't get to $100 to $150 or hell $300 with BTC at $6k to $7k than imho, scrypt-pow mining in the future is dead and all new coin creation by hardware of ANY flavor x11, scrypt-pow, sha-256 will be replaced by a wave of BITCOIN FORKS of existing network as a replacement for such and/or now becoming outlawed ICO's no longer being in the running for fast/dirty wealth creation....I see the possibility of many, many dubious forks off of BTC ..not just main BTC but forks of forks and/or other cryptos will be ugly imho..but I'm again above ...betting on LTC and current BTC price ...for LTC to do its historical 'catchup' kinda/sorta in price to BTC mainstay we will see, my bet on all my dubious equipment (soon to be doorstop x11's, soon to be doorstop knc titans, a bit later but soon to be doorstops L3's) you can review this post and my paranoid viewpoints above at a later date (or as I like to call my ramblings, crypto rationalizations of a desperate nature) |
