if stability is your priority don't push your cards too much, in another word use stock bios with a little bit OC. the key to stability is keep your cards still cool also give them enough a power.

This's few steps for Solo Mining:
1. Install a Qt wallet, run Qt wallet as a server.
2. Create a coin config.
3. Pointing your Rig to localhost.
or else create your own mining Pool and add the coin that you want solo mining to that Pool.

Yeah, your're absolutely right. During the time I built very first rigs, I watched a lot of youtube tutorials from Bits Be Trippin', Voskcoin, IMineBlocks and CryptoCurrency Network.
I just started step by step, get problems -> search/check tutorials and debug, again and again. Now I build a rig very quick without any problem.
yeah, same as I feel. if want learns something must one by one then practice what is learned, that more effective. although many time to learn it, but all of that is replaced with knowledge. 2 years ago I don't know what is a mining from A to Z then I started from 'A' (try and error) and next steps. |

Opini pribadi, kita tidak punya beginner's section karena semua topik yang membahas Bitcoin secara umum, mulai level pemula sampai lanjutan, kita tampung di subforum utama. amishmanish bilang seperti itu mungkin berpikir kita belum punya thread berisi panduan newbie, padahal thread seperti itu sudah banyak seperti yang sudah dilist di thread indeks agan joniboini. So, menurut saya belum perlu lah kita memisahkan beginner section. Nanti kalau sudah banyak topik yang membahas hal teknis dan advanced baru mungkin perlu dipisah ada technical discussion dan beginner's section. Btw, walaupun saya bilang sudah banyak tapi masih banyak juga hal tentang Bitcoin dan cryptocurrency yang belum tercover/belum ada di SF Indonesia  Jadi kontribusi untuk membuat thread-thread seperti itu masih sangat diharapkan nih, Agan-Agan. Ya. Saya jg baca thread itu, memang menyedihkan indonesia termasuk didalamnya. Hal tersebut lebih kepada beginner yg "kejar2 setoran" tanpa peduli qualitas postnya. Menurut saya, bagaimana pun kita menyediakan sebuah "wadah" untuk beginner tapi kalau tujuan utamanya "money" hal itu tentu tidak akan efektif akan tetapi hal tersebut setidaknya menjadi sebuah usaha yg baik. Tidak semua beginner benar2 "beginner", banyak beginner jadi2an, menurut saya yg perlu dilakukan lebih ke personalnya. Beginner "jadi2an" ini yg menyebabkan indonesia paling banyak Spammer". Saya rasa yg paling efektif bukan "wadah" tapi "rasa tega" untuk tidak memberikan kesempatan rank up. Jangan terpengaruh oleh drama korea.

The prices of graphic cards are way too high for my liking. The market is also still bearish and I'm out of fiat.

when Cryptocurrency doesn't become a trending topic again, 1 year ago the price of BTC increased significantly so many people interest to mining of altcoins (result it converted to BTC) and they know that a graphics cards can do it. the impact is many demands for GPU and market know " what is to do". in facts, now price of BTC and almost all coin has a decrease, but price a graphics card still expensive. not can predictions, you must brave take a risk or just so become is observers. |

actually, everyone has an ability and thinking is a difference. when first mining until to date, I'm using NH(and its kinds) only 2 months, more interesting using the separate software because of more has knowledge although must spend the time to learn it.

I don't see or think all this mining is the best thing. I see it has mere waste of time and energy. Most of the mining you can not get $20 in a year.it time wasting.
At this time, yes For new miners when buying GPU with a high price and almost all coins mined has decreased in price and hope a faster ROI.But No, for miners who bought GPUs 1,5 year ago, until to date still have profit, only have decreased and no energy and time waste its. |

maybe the price of GPU is a bit less when the manufacturer will new release cards, but will not go back to normal as before. I was reading Asrock will also enliven the GPU market. especially NVIDIA, I can't wait for whether their latest card is better than the previous card.

*I've got some few questions to know though, about what's the best algo to use using Nvdia GPU, since its not that as scarce as AMD. I do know that I can make a bit more profit if I use AMD but the supply is the problem, whats the best coin to mine And my recent question about nicehash thing and other apps used to mine like ccminer.
For NVIDIA 1080'ti or 1070'ti, NeoScrypt coins be a good choice but strong enough in Ethash algorithm equal to RX580 8GB or may more almost reach Vega. I suggest NSGminer for mine NeoScrypt nor Ethash you can use Claymore. |

my advice is you better buy rx 580 than the old type like r9 290 ..
because the diff coins will go up every once a month, you still have to know that.
totally wrong... the diff doesn't increase every once a month but a matter of minutes and depend on a coin its, every coin has a technical data each. in the next year your r9 290 may no longer work

actually, I don't understand what the goal of this OP.
only for is known points 2 and 3 technically can do mining in bitcoin but for the profit problem better doesn't do it. GPUs better mining altcoins such RX 580 to mine ETH/ETC coins.

You don't understand what are you talking about. Mining on 1 GPU is not profitable now. That's it.
OP doesn't focus on electricity although you mention an electricity cost effect to profit, but a problem primary not that. let's focus on a specific problem although I know problem profit can be influenced another factor and OP has been confirming: Sorry @dimsk but I just want to stay on topic on my questions and you advising on the power consumption factor wasn't helping answer my queries.
