Is Puerto wrong?  I'd love to see a link to a reasonable explanation for any number of things.  I asked directly.  The response consistently ignores the companies responsibility while attacking detractors.
Ok, invoke away!  If you didn't read Puerto's link and haven't been paying attention... you just might want to take a close look.

Yeah I have thought of doing that, I think it's a great idea.  I should copy it over and see what it looks like.. hopefully get a chance this week.

ASICMINER shares are blowing UP! but i don't trust it, once the hardware sells run out, dividend & price might tank.

i own a small amount of ASICMINER, i'm waiting too see what happens to ASICMINER when the mining bubble pops.
Bah I know!  I went to buy a few shares yesterday and saw I had just missed the last 2.6...  Now I have to pay 3?  idk..  probly regret not buying a few to dump in a couple months after they double

Hi. I updated my Group Buy. Lower pricing. New escrow address.
Ok thanks!

Ok guys I finally watched Yifu's Bitcoin 2013 talk.  Took a while to get the time to spend half an hour picking something apart.  I can see why people want me to change their data, he seems very credible.

However..
It's very strange he said sabotage, there is no incentive there.  Anyway, six miners being damaged can't account for months of waiting.  They say the chips are made, I still don't see why people don't have them.
Where are the hardball questions guys?  When do you get a chance like this?  Guess I'll have to go next time with my own question list.  He didn't even talk about sending chips at the conference.  It was mostly about the miners.  I really don't feel like any of my previous questions were answered.

To me it's as simple as this:  People bought chips from them, they are not sending them.  They don't have good reasons for this.  Until I find some I'm going to keep moving them back.  I think that because he seems like such a nice guy it's hard to question him, but personally I need some clear answers.

Thanks for the kind messages!

In adult life, the State is certainly the bully most to be feared most of the time by most people, but... I don't see a clear point of transition in life - the "-archy" asserts itself at birth, although not usually in the form of the State.

I'm starting to think there are "good -archy" components, such as potty training or driving on only one side of the road, but that in attempting to enumerate them we would all disagree, eventually leading to some version of where we are now - a myriad of laws that nobody much likes.

I think the dividing line is this:

A good rule or law assists and streamlines society. Ignoring such a rule causes chaos and damage to the community. (Seat belts, driving on the right side of the road, simple contract law, industry standards)

A bad rule or law oppresses and consolidates control into certain groups or institutions. Society would function better if it ceased to exist. (monopoly, barriers to market entry, excessive taxation, back-room committees, frivolous fines, the war on drugs, militarization of police)
There is a big problem when deciding what a good law and bad law are.  For instance it could be considered that not wearing a seat belt is a victimless crime, why make a law about it.  What gives another person the right to take their money because they are taking unneeded risk?  It's different if that risk is something like tailgating, I really wish there was something I could do about that..  I consider it a threat to my life.  I don't care if they're not wearing their belt if that's what they want, just don't increase my chances of dieing.
Monopoly laws don't work, but it would be really nice to not have corporations that are more powerful than many governments around the world.

I agree with your point, and most of your divisions.  It just seems like a difficult thing to do.

Yeah I'm watching that closely too.  I'm hoping the tech curve will keep us busy and interested in mining, but growth is definitely not steady in the short term.
It's possible that there will be certain times where a new cheap tech comes out and everyone can mine, then other times we'll need more infrastructure that only comes with capitol.

I think your Terrahash prices are way off. They're about 10 times more expensive than what it says in your chart on the first page...
I guess they changed prices.  Is the ellipses to show your disdain for such an error?  lol
393  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: List of Avalon-ASIC-Miner-Developers and Assembler on: June 13, 2013, 02:00:28 PM
I spend so much time in custom hardware, yet I never saw your list SebastianJu.  How strange!  When I first saw it I thought you had taken my idea, then I looked at the date..  and wondered if you had thought the same when I made mine!

I'll link to this on my table, I wasn't able to do some of the developers justice, like burnin.  So many categories I just didn't have room in the list.  Also you have some other types of data that I am not including.

Maybe you should change BFL 5 gh/s to 'YES' on shipping. They have shipped some 1k units in the last two weeks. If Avalon is shipping so is BFL.
They might ship some product, but are they currently shipping anything that you can buy in their store?  Being that this is about lead time I have to take into account only the miners that are ordered today.
398  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: June 12, 2013, 09:31:17 PM

Twp decades barely classifies as long term, let alone super long term. Super long term is a couple of centuries.

According to wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Term_(time) long-term is usually considered above 3 years.

Yes, and super long term http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Long_Term_(time) is, "like a really long time."
399  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Low Watt Miners GH/BTC, ROI [Updated June 12] on: June 12, 2013, 08:56:12 PM
Yifu talked about a lot in the Bitcoin 2013 video. From deliberate sabotage from shipping companies,, pricing, USB controllers that can't handle certain volts, procuring certain other parts...

I'm not sure why a shipping company would do that.  Wouldn't it hurt their reputation?  What incentive is there?
Pricing?
USB controllers and other parts aren't needed to send out chips, unless I'm misunderstanding you.

...
I'm not sure, obviously, what the future holds, but I'm fairly certain it is neither linear nor exponential.
I agree with that. Exp growth is absolutely not sustainable.

It could hold until the next block reward halving. That doesn't seem too infeasible at the moment. However I'm thinking growth will cool off to 5% as the ASIC fevel cools down. A few companies completely failing to deliver will achieve that, by cooling down the demand.

Another variable to add to the scenarios is expected delivery dates. You cannot count amortisation since day 1 when most companies will take a very long time to deliver, except ASICMiner.
I agree that the difficulty will continue to have some crazy slopes and rises.  The average difficulty of all total rises has been about 17%.  It's handy to say 17%, but it discounts all of the major changes that have happened.  Basically this is what I'm doing with the 1 year estimate.  There are situations where a 12% average may end up actually giving the ROI of a 15%, if the growth is weighted toward the beginning of the cycle.  That's why I added the higher percentage columns, it looks like we will have a fairly low growth cycle compared to current estimates, but it could be heavily weighted toward the near future.

Do you have the information on the bills hidden and sealed, so people know if it has been redeemed?
