381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Third Auction For Ulbricht’s Coins, Scheduled on: March 03, 2015, 06:31:53 PM
With the auction of his bitcoin coming:
http://bitforum.info/t/third-auction-for-ulbrichts-coins-scheduled/305

Do you think, Ulbricht can easily get back his coins if he is still running Silk Road right now?

I mean if he will be released right now, and start from the scratch again, how many years will it take to reach the amount of the coins he lost?

Is the present surge because of this?

That is not beyond the realm of possibility imo but not sure it would be because of this, they stole the coin in the first place not sure they care about the price difference of a few dollars.

To answer about Ulbricht i am not sure he would easily get them back but in the end if he was doing what he done first time around with better security procedures then i see no reason why he would not make a large amount of them back.

What would be the point though he was to greedy and could not leave with tens of millions the btc was wasted on him.
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ECASH]E-Money Advertising Revenue In Wallet | 8% Daily Stake for 21 days on: March 03, 2015, 06:10:34 PM
i like the 8% daily for 21days and then 8% annual. i think that and the advertising revenue idea is what attracted me to begin with. im sure others feel the same, but since the staking rates can be changed they may want to change them now. i honestly think 50% annual, that some people have mentioned in the thread, is way too high and if there is a max coin amount that it will get to that point quickly with 50% annual. so my vote is 8%daily for 21 days and 8% annual afterwards maybe 10% but thats my opinion. thanks for taking the time to listen to us iGotSpots.

Hey don't knock high PoS coins. My three are doing great!  Wink

Ok, so sounds like most people right now want 8% daily for like a month then 8% yearly. Keep suggestions coming

The thing i am curious about is if the original dev still wiling to take his advertising plans further? If not then i would go with the planned 8% for around a month but then follow Balls or MMXIV with a high annual % which will hopefully stop the mass dump at the end of the months 8%. Kind of like if people want to dump fine but they miss out on the annual and the smart cookies will buy and keep for annual reward  Grin

Please do something like that because without it i see mayhem after the month or before 8% will not get people to hold unless the original dev is still in the team?
383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do We Need Social Media Promotion on: March 03, 2015, 05:54:31 PM
Does Bitcoin Need The Social Media's Help To Promote Itself?

With the help of Social Media, bitcoin can attract new and young users. Learn about bitcoin and eventually adopt it.

Maybe this is the first step of mass adoption.

What do you think?

Yes i would agree with this to an extent because they are exactly who we are looking for young guys who understand the usefulness of being your own bank and not having someone else control your money.

It is these youngsters that will make the change, a lot of old timers are stuck in their ways and the old system which is ok but we need to get the young to step up and make the change before mass adoption occurs imo

So social media is a big marketing tool headed towards the young
384  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to play blackjack 100% effective? on: March 03, 2015, 05:47:25 PM
I mean, blackjack is about luck but a little bit of skill too and i was wondering if someone made the definitve strategy for online blackjack like if you get 12 then you have to stop or get another card, etc

Back in the day you would have been able to count cards so you would have had a very good idea of the range of cards that the dealer had left, but they caught onto that along time ago and now use multiple shoes to deal from.

You maybe able to find a online casino that has some tells and build a strategy but you would need to witness thousands of hands to gain any real knowledge of how its dealt.

You would not come and tell people how to do it  Wink

Good luck on your bj
385  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTER.com hacked - 7170 BTC stolen [DON'T KEEP YOUR MONEY ON AN EXCHANGE] on: March 03, 2015, 05:41:29 PM
I said earlier that the allowing of withdrawal of CNY and USD was meant to avoid legal problems. Now they have stopped for who knows how long.

Have they finished USD and CNY withdrawals now then? If they have and they have not started the process of alt coin withdrawals then the slightly paranoid have reason to believe that they may do a runner!

I would not find that surprising if i am honest because or all withdrawals would have been done by now  Huh

Looks like they brought time to get the alt coins ready to dump and now they should avoid legal issues if the USD and CNY has been withdrawn it is not good for my NXT and XCP  Angry
386  Economy / Gambling / Re: @@BEST SPORT PAID SERVICE EVER !!!!! on: March 03, 2015, 01:28:01 PM
Dude you have made this thread on 3 separate occasions and each time you have been told -

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ANYMORE !!!

I cannot work out whether you are trying to be legit or just trying to scam a few dollars  Undecided If it is the latter as said above do not waste your time because you only get one months 37 usd.

If someone with a trusted past tries wins and reviews you may get some custom but nobody wants to lose even that fairly small amount of money.

If you are honest Good luck
387  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wall Street Journal BTC Article (1st March 2015) on: March 03, 2015, 01:08:25 PM
There was already a thread about this if you would have looked before posting you would have seen you are creating a identical thread  Huh

Good question did marshals ask for it, who knows except them?

Either way wall street and bitcoin is not good for the unsavvy investors in bitcoin it will be one hell of a show though  Cool
388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cannot Succeed (heres why) on: March 03, 2015, 01:04:36 PM
Now let us imagine that bitcoin reaches "the moon" as is often wished for in the Bitcoin community. Let us imagine that one BTC is worth 1 million dollars.

Sorry but i need to stop you there  Smiley bitcoin is not reaching a million dollars not this year or next or 5 after that, we have been to 1000+ and one exchange did do a runner you a quite right but it will not be long before we have a peer to peer decentralized exchange hopefully with smartcontracts so no middle men! Then you have no reason of bitcoin not succeeding it will flourish without the greedy ones stealing peoples coin.
389  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: transfer money on: March 03, 2015, 12:50:12 PM
Hey guys   I've tried to search for this on the forum but i couldn't find it...
I'm new to bitcoin exchanges ...i've been using them but never traded them....
my question is:  i know u can transfer bitcoin between exchanges, but can you transfer money???

thanks

Short answer as far as i know you cannot send money straight from exchange to exchange without a 3rd party, in this case have a look at okpay, moneypolo, ego pay, you will be able to send from exchange to one of them and then to another exchange. I warn you though it will cost you both time and money makes it not worth doing imo. Try do what you need transferring btc is my best advice.
390  Economy / Gambling / Re: From 650 Bitcoins to one: Why you should never gamble on: March 03, 2015, 12:41:42 PM
Well, I have a gambling problem and I will ask my "Shrink" for help. My problem is that I like to play roulette.

The first step was admitting you had the problem my friend so a big well done i am just sorry you could not have done it sooner as you obviously also are. Good luck with your recovery it will be very difficult i have a best friend who is 100% the same except he lost everything including his mind  Undecided

Bad luck man! You'll win at the start but end up losing it all.

Could have just kept it at Bad luck man! For starters you are wrong buddy! Who says you will win at the start? You could not win until the end when the law of averages kicks in. The thing is it is all averages the friend of mine had done a lot of study before he started with real money and check this over 1380 something recorded spins 666 was black 666 was red  and the remainder was 0's.

Add up all the numbers on a roulette table and they to add up to 666!!

The story goes a monk created the game and could not figure out how to beat it so he finished his life that shows not even the creator could beat it and it destroyed him, i will hold a prayer for you OP because it will be so so hard you are trying to climb out the abyss and the dark one does not want you to leave  Undecided
391  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bubble FULL TILT POKER on: March 03, 2015, 08:56:39 AM

Good luck on your future games OP
392  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot.com -- The Social Gambling Game on: March 03, 2015, 04:17:57 AM
it would be better if moneypot receive some kind of coin as doge , Ltc

I don't personally use it, but I've heard good things about https://shapeshift.io/ being used for this. You can enter your money pot deposit address, generate a doge/ltc address and transfer funds easily =)

Never knew about shapeshift,io thats a pretty damn cool service Cheesy

Just found this thread  Shocked

You guys are giving good reviews and the game sounds fun so i will bite and join you for a few aha

Used shapeshift a bit just a few months old so nothing major but all good so far.

Will report back soon  Grin
393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin on wall street journal font page on: March 03, 2015, 04:11:49 AM
Isn't there enough scammers and thieves to deal with already without the wolves of Wall Street adding to the problem? These guys 'll make MK look like a petty thief.

I have to agree these guys are the worst thiefs scammers and all around dirty little men on the face of the planet the last people i would want taking an interest in any part of my finances are the wolves!

Wolves are sharp not just their teeth lol

If they want to be part of bitcoin the chances are they will go for broke and full control, not sure how that would work but not very good for your average joe investor but exciting and fun for anyone who can see what is going on  Roll Eyes Tongue

And so it begins...
394  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there a true 'bank' for bitcoin? on: March 03, 2015, 04:04:58 AM

A place where you can give your bitcoins and earn savings or take out loans or whatever the other banks do really , just simply a bitcoin bank?

Yes there is a true bitcoin bank and that is 'your' wallet, we are breaking free from banks and fractional reserve thiefs god willing so the plan is to not look back  Smiley

Spend time researching what you believe would be a good investment and go with it, be your own boss of your own money.

Good luck
395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralized exchanges will never work on: March 03, 2015, 03:55:13 AM

they say the same thing about a decentralised finance system, yet we see the beginning in bitcoin

The saying that goes back far in the past something along the lines of never say never  Wink I am not sure how close it is but take a look at Forex!?

Pretty sure that you can deposit btc onto there, i will take a look and get back to during the week
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of a coin who reduce the total amount of coins being minted? on: February 27, 2015, 06:15:35 PM
This is just to get a feel for the altcoin communities feelings in this issue as it is being discussed in various coins at the moment.

Feel free to post a more detailed answer or suggest more / better options and I'll add them.

I think this is a good idea but not many devs do it as you can see, they seem to like the raising the supply threw POS.

One coin which i know is reducing supply in future is XCP / counterparty and they are introducing smartcontracts that cost XCP each time a contract is made, there is no more xcp to be mined so this coin will become extremely rare.

It is a fair way i guess as if you do not want to make a contract then you do not pay for one, those who do not still benefit from others who will and the reduce in supply should mean the value rising.

397  Other / Politics & Society / Re: When USA invasion to Russia starts? on: February 27, 2015, 02:03:34 PM
I've been told by many legitimate sources that west (Especially USA) is planning to attack russia  Huh When it's going to happen and how?? Smiley I want to know usa doctrine
USA has many bases around the globe and is planning to take over everything!

Are your legitimate sources youtube? In a way you are right they have already started to attack russia with sanctions on the country but i do not believe they will attack russia by force unless forced to. USA does have HQ's all over the world and it does look like they are attempting to takeover most of the world but what happens when they get to China/Russia etc there will be big problems for the world if they try this as these countrys will not bow down to them and they are not weak like many others they have taken control of. Lets hope eveyone can just be friends  Smiley
Having a forward base in another country doesn't mean you want to take over. How would you plan to take a country that has for instance 500k troops, by having an airfield there, managed by 200 people? Cheesy

Oh right i see what you mean silly me thinking they would take a country with as you say 200 people, i guess they only have 200 people in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, South Korea , Kuwait, Bahrain, Japan, Germany, Italy, UK with many many other deployments around the globe that are bases all with thousands of troops stationed and that is just so 'if' the time comes they already have the foothold to deploy thousands more. It is a game of chess and the pieces are in place and have been for years.
398  Economy / Economics / Re: USdollar lost 97% of it's value? on: February 27, 2015, 01:25:46 PM

I live in a civilized country, we use money to survive.

Lol bro!  How does it taste?  Sounds particularly uncivilized.  [edit].. of course to be fair it all hinges on what you mean here by "money".

Civilized country did make me laugh, you mean you use paper to survive and that paper is worth as much as toilet roll in fact it is worth less because it is 'debt' the closet thing to money on this planet are the shiny pieces of metal you find funny to collect.

Money is in fact 'gold' paper is just a receipt of the 'gold'. It all started many years ago in a village/small town the gold smith was his own bank now he stored his gold in his safe and people realized that they could ask him to store their gold also and so they asked, he agreed to this and stored the towns gold etc

He would give them a piece of paper which was their receipt a modern day iou of the amount of gold he held for them, after a while he realized that not everyone came to collect their gold at the same time so he could loan a % of the gold out and make profit which he done and at the same time created fractional reserve banking which in short your 'money' is worthless and is backed by 'nothing' except ofcourse most of the sleepy population Smiley

399  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC Friendly banks? on: February 27, 2015, 01:04:48 PM
im in the US and since my first post..(i'm still a newb) but i have been trading and working with alt currency's here and there.. i deposit cash but it's getting to rather high amounts i wanted to know before i get some kinda SAR filed on me and my account closed are there any BTC banks out there that are friendly to us users?? i search up and there is a thread from 2013 and no longer updated.. any luck out there?i don't do wire transfers and things like that.. just face 2 face meets and then alt. trading that im starting to learn.. thanks guys!

If you are depositing in cash then the only people that knows what you have deposited is you and who you done the trade with, you should not have no problems for the time being as no personal identifying information is given i assume. I would not call anything that claims to be a bank friendly or trust worthy maybe i am just old fashioned but bitcoin allows us to be our own banks so i will live that way and trust no one with my coins except me.  I would advise looking into it further but if i was you i would not worry at this point you are using cash deposits and i have to assume using an exchange like btc-e? If so just keep up to date with what the exchanges are up to and if they bring new rules what could affect your trading etc you will know to change tactics. Happy trading.
400  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you consider OKpay to be trustworthy? Why or why not? on: February 27, 2015, 12:44:58 PM
i know okpay has a lot of seo personnel doing the good deeds they need to cloud their real quality - that quality is the most bad customer service in this planet and oh they keep your money for x number of days probably trading bitcoin with them

I have to agree with the customer service i have never been so annoyed opening an account with anyone like i was with them, i believe they trade threw moneypolo's name/reputation and i was able to get my account verified with them first attempt but when it came to OKpay i was run around repeatedly saying my id what got me verified on moneypolo and other sites was not good enough and was declined this happened about 3 times then i told them how i felt about them and moved on after closing my account! Then they continue to send me emails but i cannot see what they are saying because i closed the account because the lack of customer service and impossible verification, i was close to offering them a few dollars to sort it and i am sure that would have worked. Would not bother wasting your time with them.
