381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Anime shows would you most like to see on LBRY? on: September 15, 2017, 10:34:12 PM
LBRY is looking at expanding its content and needs your help. They are asking what content would you like to see on the app.

Currently there are thousands of videos and content on the app but the team is asking What Anime shows would you most like to see on LBRY?

The app can be downloaded from LBRY.io
Won’t you get any trademarks from the people that are CEO’s of those Anime’s? It would be nice to have the shows that people like in other languages that people didn’t really see before. It’d not that easy to just pick a single Anime because the Anime that I see right now is not worth watching.
All the Anime and Cartoons that were on places like Nick and Toonami would be nice to see as well. Even the old Anime would be nice as well. An Anime that was made in the year 1970’s. Those would be a nice fit for LBRY’s catalog.
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What cryptos do you hold when the market is going down, and which you dump? on: September 15, 2017, 10:20:45 PM
What cryptos do you hold when the market is going down, and which you dump?

I don't think that selling anything is worth when market is going down.
You should plan beter you crypto moves.
And you should selling on way up not down -  know this is very hard.
That’s is how trading coins should be. If people really wanted to not have their coin in some Bitcoin Exchange then that’s better for the market as well. It’s usually the trader that sells his coin in a panic because he noticed that the price was going down then that trader will cause a spike in the chart, that will cause more panicking and cause the price to go down even more. That is why Bitcoin and all these Altcoins are made because they don’t have to be with the money from the government. We could trade it for something special.
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of Stake coins? on: September 15, 2017, 10:05:38 PM
I was thinking here in reserving some hdd space for a proof of stake coin. Say, buy a thousand of these coins and get a reward from time to time.

However, I never did this before and I'm confused about how it would work. Would it use too much RAM? Would it consume my CPU? Or would it use the GPU like in mining?

Also, recommend good POS coins to store in that way.
Some coins that have that in their system is because they want people to have their coins in their wallet at all times. That people that begin to hold the wallet is going to turn larger because of the amount of people that are holding the coins and then the price will go really high since there won’t be that many people trying to sell their coins.
It also depends more on how many people are wanting to trade that coin for something in the near future. That is why you should just get an old proof of stake coin.

384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Frequent Traders. How do you handle your news feed? on: September 15, 2017, 09:58:02 PM
Frequent traders, day traders, how have you set up your news feeds to best serve you?
With so many resources, have you identified which sources best for you?
Do you have any you would recommend?

Have you set up for instant notifications? If so, which sources?

Want to build up a solid stream of news.
As a base, coinmarketcap to view coin performance, Blockfolio mobile/ tablet app to view personal holdings value/ performance.

I like watching for certain news going on the CoinTelegraph website because they usually have more of a personal opinon when they give their input on. Most altcoins that get on that website does a really good job at holding their price.
I also look at coinmarketcap to see how a coin is doing and the coins that appears in that website usually has a thread somewhere that can describe what the coin is about. Also they have a newsfeed that allows the pricing data to be placed in a network that will have the price displayed somewhere else.
That’s the only things that I use.
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Okcoin and Huobi are next ? on: September 14, 2017, 07:35:10 PM
And again bitfinex is a chinese exchange. Losing 45% of the market means the dead end.

Bitfinex will not be shutdown. Yes it have office in Hong-Kong. But it is a British Virginia Island registered company.

Bitfinex will not be affected by China ban.

Here is official statement

That’s pretty good. I would figure that most of the coins that are being manipulated in the huge Bitcoin Exchanges are the ones that are spread out everywhere in the world so if one goes down then they could move onto another.
There’s big exchanges going down then? I didn’t really notice big Bitcoin Exchanges going down and causing the price to decrease that much since the news of China getting the ICO’s removed from their country was the case.
There might be a huge panic if Huobi goes down because most traders like that place due to their high bids on their exchange.
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs accepting Altcoins on: September 14, 2017, 07:26:55 PM
Are there a lot of ICOs accepting Altcoins? Please share ICOs accepting alts (beyond BTC, LTC and Ethereum) and which alts they accept.

If the ICO doesn't accept coins other than only BTC, LTC, ETH please don't share it here.
The only ICO’s that I know of is the WorldTurtleCoin and the Kandern ICO.
It doesn’t have features that I would want to use so I wouldn’t recommend anyone investing in them. It seems like the only investments that are accepting an Altcoin other that the ones noted is mainly Waves. There used to be a few projects accepting coins for a swap without relying on an escrow though they aren’t doing so well nowadays.
If Waves isn’t what you want then I can’t really help you since I’ve only did a quick look and found those coins. If you find any other ones then they may not be worth money.

387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please share your EXIT strategy... on: September 14, 2017, 07:16:23 PM
In a perfect world you have already spread your bags out. However, the reality is that 12% in the stock market is killing it. My goal has always been 20%, and hang onto about 10% of your bag in case it gets an insane pump, as long as you come out ahead, you can roll it into another opportunity
It’s kind of hard to tell that to someone that is trying to keep their coins within their storage because they want to see a pump even if they have the risk of them losing a bunch of money for their coins. It’s even harder to tell that to someone who is wanting to sell their coins for an emergency as well.
That technique does seem like a pretty good method though, it would make it look like you are trying to sell all the coins that you have and have around 20% of all the other coins. Why not invest in only 4 coins?

392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is regulation the Future of Blockchain on: September 10, 2017, 04:41:07 PM
Blockchain known for its de-centralisation properties. Is staring regulation from centralised government in the face. How will it react. I wonder how such a clash of interests would merge. Will it be good or bad?
It'll be pretty bad because the transactions on Blockchain can be viewed publicly, having it regulated is worse.

394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best ICO / token? on: September 09, 2017, 06:41:57 PM
Full disclosure, i am involved with Sparta, see below.

Why would you want to invest in Sparta? The project doesn’t really need to be here considering that we already have Bitcoin and the price of Bitcoin going up so there shouldn’t be any need for presales to be specific. With them trying to make 6,660,000 USD does not seem very smart, there’s a bunch of people that will lose their money on this project and I am pretty sure that there wouldn’t be any cares given from the people on the Sparta team.
A startup could be built just by using Bitcoin and with little or no money involved the team could make their system if they knew how to code.
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Chinese exchanges delisting ICOs on: September 09, 2017, 06:37:03 PM
News just in. Seems like the ICO slaughter is in full effect in China. But I guess most of knew that China issued a ban on ICOs and that exchanges who dealt in ICOs would have to delist or cease operations

Yunbao just delisted QTUM, NEO, RHC, MXI and MRYC

https://www.yuanbao.com/news/detail/?id=1576
I don’t even know what that exchange is. Do people really use that exchange to purchase those coins or did they just get rid of them because they weren’t doing well?
I haven’t found an exchange (not stating that there is no exchange doing it) that delists a coin that is within their top 5 trading pairs within the site. If they lose that money then they could just change where they are hosting the website and move to another location since they are making a lot of money from it. It doesn’t really make sense right now, if China decides to switch their views then those exchanges will be pissed.
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: One of Bitcointalks advertisers 'JesusCoin' on: September 09, 2017, 06:32:23 PM
People want decentralization and no regulation, here you go....
I don’t like the idea of that coin at all. It’s pretty straight forward that they are not trying to actually help the people in the community out by helping churches and other places with the money that is made from it.
If they were trying to decentralized the trading for the coin then they would have just launched the coin under a different name. The Announcement thread that they have is the proof that they are not trying to decentralize transaction either, their thread is self-moderated so that means that they will delete posts that THEY don’t seem fit in the discussion.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The great ETH Exodus on: September 09, 2017, 06:28:53 PM
As long as BTC continues to rise there is no reason to think that ETH will suddenly reverse/become stagnant. ETH is the go to currency for ICO's and will likely continue to be until someone comes along with something better and more credible. Does it have some flaws and weaknesses, of course it does. However, there is a reason for that market cap and ETH will evolve as time goes on. How many other tokens or coins have a few hundred of mil pumped into them a month?

Actually ETC (which i dislike as well just because of the cap out of thin air) is already far more credible, ETH is the least credible (of coins with MC) of them all! They cannot even say they are immutable, they are a centralized entity which means they are not TRUSTLESS as well!
ETC is a better money maker if the investor is planning on hoarding a bunch of coins and selling it if the price of it gets up to the price of Eth. There’s been threads throughout the years that state that the whole Eth project is trash so the price will go lower or won’t rise again though they have been proven to be wrong in that occasion. We really don’t know if the price of Eth will go up again, though I do think that the project does have the potential to go up again since there’s a lot of people backing it.
398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet with lowest transcation fee on: September 08, 2017, 07:35:00 PM
I think it must be Electrum cause you can choose the amount you wanna pay for transaction fee. But you shouldn't set the transaction fee too low cause it'll make your transaction get confirmed much longer. I think the normal amount for transaction fee is 0.0004, it's not too much and still keep your transaction not too long Cheesy
Electrum is a pretty good wallet to use when there is multiple people that you need to send money to. It gets pretty troublesome to send money to people that is usually a receiver so it wouldn’t make that much sense to keep sending them Bitcoin and setting the transaction fee to a low amount. Sending Bitcoins should be an easy process and Electrum does help with that fact though there would have to be a little bit of tweaking in the client in order to make that work.
Multibit is the best client to use because the transaction fee is set at a really low amount.
399  Other / Off-topic / Re: I am getting sick of fucking Chinese idiots on: September 08, 2017, 07:33:49 PM
Chinese government ban of Chinese ICOs forces their people to buy non-Chinese ICOs and existing cryptos.  That's good for non-Chinese ICOs and will eventually be good for all existing cryptos.
With China trying to get rid of the people doing ICO’s and the people joining the ICO’s it is pretty good for the people that know how to use computers and the Internet. The censorship is real, once the people in the Government find that more people are learning how to bend the rules and do things that the Government wouldn’t allow them to do then that is when they will put harsher penalties for not cooperating with them.
It’s pretty easy to use a computer and participate in an ICO in China, if you look around the Internet you wouldn’t be complaining about it so much.
400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China bans exchangers on: September 08, 2017, 07:27:34 PM

The Chinese are very smart, have accumulated bitcoins and now can do anything with the market.
That’s kind of the right way to put it though that doesn’t necessarily apply to everyone in China. There’s people living in China that want to have Bitcoin though they can’t and there’s some people in that area that want to purchase something that will make them money (not knowing that Bitcoin is a route to make them some nice amount of cash).
Bitcoin is being bought from the major people in China that want more Bitcoins in their wallets so they could dominate the market when the price of Bitcoin gets expensive. I am pretty sure that we haven’t seen anything yet.
