I did finally get it working with msi afterburner the newest version... it was the beta. Still though I'm looking for a easier solution. Like support in cgminer or bamt oh well hopefully it comes soon

How do you undervolt the 7970, voltage is greyed out in msi afterburner and trixx, setting it in cgminer doesnt have any affect. I have two msi reference versions

I got some 5870's today, a his reference and a non-reference. Been playing with the settings listed here. No crashes at 0.959 volts, but even though I have core at 850 and get almost 400 reported mhash it appears to produce less shares then when I put them at 1.02v and the same speeds, which has been my go to setting for 5970's. It shouldn't take more than 10-15min to throw luck out of the equation as far as shares are concerned right? Does anyone else notice the same thing?

yeah its really hard to totally revert the drivers maybe someone else has figured out the trick, I've just started from scratch when I found out 12 didn't work as well. I think it has something to do with the sdk version they install but I'm not sure

because you were using poclbm probably, it definitely makes a difference with phoenix

also what amd driver are you on? I usually stick with 11.10, version 12 doesnt seem to work very well for me

1025gpu/300memory/1.163v is what i start at, will do 325megahash on BAMT, out of 7 extreme 5830 have only seen one that would only be stable at 1015 most will do 1040, its got to be a driver or bad miner flags to be that low

if your using windows I use guiminer and phoenix with phatk2 with similar results

when a gpu hangs bamt automatically puts a noOCGPU1 where 1 is the gpu number file in /live/image/BAMT/CONTROL/ACTIVE you need to go to the directory and delete it to get it to overclock again
