With the site operating pseudo-anonymously and not requiring registration other than login and password (I believe emails are optional), ... I think he was mainly avoiding anything that could be risky in terms of being a custodial kind of wallet thing and being forced to do KYC.

In the end, I think he simply does not want to operate a dice site anymore like before, so it just now runs on CLAM. You can play with it, but I would not call it an "investment" anymore. If he changes his mind, he can always go back to BTC or any other more widely traded coin/token. I'd like to shill him an alt that has a sort of predictable inflation, and sometimes even goes negative. LOL.
