Much credit needs to go to that man Victor Osimhen because for me, he seemed like the man of the match. Well, congratulations to Kalvin Philips, he took the right steps before it was too late. David Moyes had been consistently observing Kalvin Phillips before his return to West Ham. Moyes attempted to secure Phillips' signature during the same summer he joined Manchester City. However, Phillips opted to work with Pep Guardiola at Man City, despite the intense competition for playing time. It turned out that he wouldn't have the regular playing opportunities he desired at Man City due to the stiff competition. Anyway, this acquisition is considered a positive move for West Ham. Kalvin Phillips is recognized for his outstanding skills in defensive midfield, a strong work ethic, and being a genuinely nice person.
