3881  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-08-18] Bitcoin firm licensed to trade in baht on: August 18, 2014, 04:33:23 PM
That's interesting, especially when I thought Thailand had officially banned it. I wonder if it was the same situation like the china 'ban'.

The Thailand central bank banning Bitcoin news was definitely a fake, that was discovered ages ago.

Around twice a day
I actually do value their views on certain issues Wink

You are fucking lucky TrailingComet that's for sure, I don't necessarily hate my parents, but I do want to have an ocean between me and them as fast as possible so it costs a lot for them to contact me or visit me.

I just write them off as intolerant scumbags I would never befriend, even if you have a high political official cheating on their spouse or something it's none of your fucking business what they do in their private lives, you should be judging them based on their policies and voting record and trust me, when it comes to most politicians now that's all you need.

Is it just me or is the gaming industry getting lazier and losing ideas so they are recycling other games? I just wish they remake some awesome ps1 games like nightmare creatures or RE2, instead of making genetic look-alike games.

Doesn't seem to be just the gaming industry. Movie industry is the same way. Remakes and reboots all the time. Once every few years one original title comes along

Totally not just you, even Yahtzee has been complaining about the lack of good games and angryjoe isn't even bothering to make many review videos, I thought it was just me as well but then I had a look around, they're either just blatantly giving up or are moving over to the crappy console market. To be honest I think this would be an awesome thing, if more games developers take the route of some developers and go pure console that leaves the PC market wide open for indie developers, I'll be glad to be rid of these wankers.

Guess it all depends on what you mean by educated then lol Tongue

I can't be polite about games like this, every time I see this lineup it bores the shit out of me the games developers need to get their act together.

I think this video is just highlighting on how uneducated our society is. People assume that you mean gay when you say hetero-sexual this way because almost no one will refer to their sexuality this way.

Being uneducated isn't the fucking problem.
I think it is. Back when Jay Leno was on, he had a "section" of his show called "jaywalking" asking people very basic questions and the vast majority of them got it wrong.

That's called being uninformed and ignorant, not uneducated.

If you like co-op KillingFloor might be your thing, not that many zombie co-ops out there though.

This isn't spam you're wanting people to write is it? Can you go into more detail on what it is you actually want?

3893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Comes To Business Schools on: August 17, 2014, 09:55:46 PM
Considering that the 'prerequisite' for school economics was bullshit and we've had whole generations growing up not knowing how the banking system works properly and how currency is actually created and circulated, the only prerequisite you really need to learn all of this is some basic maths at least for the general theory behind it.

^ I'm technically proof of this because I have no college or university level education in economics or mathematics, in fact, to my memory economics was barely taught in school beyond a couple of bits of extremely wrong articles in textbooks.
3894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Autonomous machines and bitcoin on: August 17, 2014, 09:37:57 PM
I think this sounds entirely possible but it's also the kind of technology I despise, there's nothing that sounds worse to me than a machine programmed by somebody to run your life, I would do everything to break it, we already have prototype driverless cars and houses that operate themselves.
3895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Comes To Business Schools on: August 17, 2014, 09:21:13 PM
Nice. I'm currently working on bringing it to my highschool via economics.

+1.
Bringing it into economics would be great and at high school would be too great. I hope it will be done. Choosing a thing when the edu is at early stage would be great for them. They can find a new way for earning money for his livelihood. He might find a job too. BTW I am really happy on hearing the news and thanks for sharing.
Kindly,
       MZ
I am not sure that high school economics is an appropriate place to be teaching about the economics of bitcoin. In order to really understand the impact that bitcoin has on the economy you would generally first need to understand various economics theories, ways that central banks control the value of fiat currencies and the effects of having different kinds of fiat currencies. These topics are usually not taught until at least the 2nd college level of an economics class.

Patronising children is precisely why so many of them grow up thinking they're stupid.

"He grabbed for my gun and succeeded at defeating my retention holster, now I'm wrestling him for it before he pulls the trigger {bang}" If physical evidence shows a struggle, not criminal.

This is why if you're going to learn how to use a gun you should train in unarmed combat, fucking noobs Tongue
3897  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Rand Paul: We Must Demilitarize the Police on: August 17, 2014, 07:39:35 PM
Whether or not the person was fighting back is irrelevant, if you have a gun you don't shoot an unarmed person otherwise you're just a murderer, why the fuck is that so hard to understand for some people?
3898  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-08-16] WSJ: German Startup Says Its New Chip Halves Bitcoin Mining Energy on: August 17, 2014, 07:36:53 PM

Due to this, at some point, miners pay more for energy costs than they get back in bitcoin.
I always thought about this problem. I hope the solution will be found

That's the difficulty working as intended, it's supposed to prevent people from getting Bitcoin easily and churning out coins at a ridiculous rate, as for the cost of electricity itself, that's a problem that has plagued our species for a long time.
3899  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your biggest fear in life? v. Real Talk on: August 17, 2014, 04:38:20 PM
. Hyperinflation

. Oversensitive/Insane women who go batshit insane for as far as I know reasons that the everyone else would think is trivial - I'm seriously tired of having to deal with them, they're as unpredictable and deadly as landmines and can end up ruining your whole social circle if you're not careful because they'll make you out to be the bad guy ( At least I can actually describe what kind of women I'm talking about now! I wasn't able to do that before! Cheesy )

In fact, I think I may actually put oversensitive/Insane women on the same level of destructiveness to peoples lives as hyperinflation, I have seriously had conversations with girls before and then all of a sudden they go ballistic with me and even other girls I've talked to about it can't figure out what went wrong.

You know if you weren't such a fatass and ate more fruit and vegetables you wouldn't have these problems right?
