Normally, my answer is "NO [I prefer to keep a low profile]", but considering that I can easily apply them to my hardware wallet, I might try such things for a change, but I'll send it to a P.O. box of some kind [having said that, I'll probably just buy a printer to create my own unique vinyl decals].
I don't care very much about case skins, but I would consider purchasing screen protection that can change text(screen color and protect screen from scratches. Many people reported scratches happening very easy for Bitbox02 and for first version of Passport hardware wallets. I know some people still keep original foil on their Trezor wallets ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) These offerings might be more useful and sought for by companies though if they need different coloured keysigners to make them more identifiable for staff.
I saw ledger is making custom brand names on their metallic parts and they have cases in different colors. Using skins in easier and cheaper than buying new device in different colors, and you can choose much more color options. It looks nice and I definitely see the appeal. It would also give some protection; in fact, I complained about BitBox02 build quality in the past (screen scratches) and suggested someone start making screen protectors for these wallets.
Yeah I just wrote about that, and I think you generally have problem with screen scratches on all your hardware wallets ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) So it's great to see, but as it's a purpose-made product just for hardware wallets, we again run into the issue of preserving privacy / pseudonymity during ordering and shipping. If instead, you get a custom-cut 'general purpose' piece of adhesive sheet somewhere, it's less likely to reveal what you are going to use it for.
I think they are selling stickers for other stuff also, like cars for example and general use stickers.

Block (ex Square) developers decided to reveal more information about their upcoming hardware wallet device, and this time they talked more about processors. They first considered making their own open source ASIC processor but that would prolong release date, and have other complications along the road. This is why they decided to choose one of three models, Secure Element (SE), System on Chip (SoC), and Microcontroller (MCU). Final choice was Silicon Labs EFR32MG24 secure MCU that is based on the ARM Cortex-M33 architecture, and they plan to release firmware and hardware design open source as much is possible. Looking at their release design we can see device with usb-c connection, Li-Po battery, fingerprint sensor, nfc coil and rgb led. In heart of everything is Silicon Labs EFR32MG24: https://wallet.build/processing-our-processor-choice/https://www.silabs.com/wireless/zigbee/efr32mg24-series-2-socs

One more preevish website... I really don't understand what's happening with all this obsession of making the one real successor Domain oh.gold is cool, but it's more suited for something related to gold than with bitcoin.

In some comments I've read it's an attack on Bitcoin. They first sanctioned Tornado Cash and accounts are to be frozen, now they start with the biggest crypto personality Micheal Saylor. What are your comments about it, are Bitcoiners next?
Good luck trying to catch all the bitcoiners around the world ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) I don't know what Saylor was doing, but taxes are getting crazy, and there are no connections between Micheal Saylor and Tornado Cash, but in future they could always try to add new restrictions and regulations for Bitcoin and mining. I think people need to understand that governments should be working for the people, we pay them and we can always fire them, one way or another.

Would you buy a skin that would make your hardware wallet unique? There is one website called Builtinvain selling products like this and you can buy them using cryptocurrencies. They can be used to change the color for hardware wallet cases, and to protect screen from scratches and change text color. Currently supported hardware wallets are Trezor model T, Ledger S,X,S+, Bitbox02, Dcent and Safepal. https://www.builtinvain.com/
Note that I am not affiliated with this website in any way, I just think this is interesting idea.

What was he thinking trying to pull of such an exit scam?
Get rich or die tryin' while stealing money from other people ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Albania is known as one of the most corrupt countries in Europe and possibly world, so who knows what people from there promised him, maybe new identity and citizenship with different name. Who knows what really happened, someone probably snitched him, but Albania is not that far from Turkey, and it was not so easy to travel in last few years. His new accommodation is already waiting for him in Turkish prison. If you are smart and think ahead, 2 billions are more than enough to disappear forever, but since he was caught in Albania (lol), he obviously wasn't too smart and didn't prepare his exit scam
Or outside circumstances and travel restrictions messed up with his plans ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) 2 billions sounds like a lot of money but with current inflation, money printing and rising prices I wouldn't be surprised if that value gets similar like in Zimbabwe soon. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FXtQAjjX.jpg&t=663&c=b-7yRlFtdxEeNA)

On Passport, by default you can only install a firmware image that is signed with Foundation's developer signing key. However, you can add your own key and then it will let you install firmware signed by yourself and present you with a warning on each boot (so you'd notice if someone did it on your device).
That is fine and it reminds me on something similar we can see on smartphones running grapheneos. I am not sure how other hardware wallets are dealing with this because I never researched it deeply. What are your thoughts on this article
I don't know what to say about two year old article, nothing new is said there. There are risks purchasing and using hardware wallets, but you can mitigate most of them if you are careful. You can buy device locally in official reseller shop, use disposable email address and alternative delivery address for ordering and delivery, use PO or UPS boxes, etc. Alternative way is to build your own DIY signing device or just use small old laptop as a cold storage. There is no perfect universal solution for everyone, and I can find negative or positive for any options.

Coinkite launched 3 new projects based on NFC JavaCards. Can someone just purchase blank NFC JavaCards, load your firmware code in them, and use them in the same way like new cards? There are some valid reasons why I would choose that, one of them is not being directly connected with anything crypto-bitcoin related. I would prefer buying bulk empty cards locally and making my own custom design for each card. I don't see anything being mentioned about source code, so I can only assume it's not open source.

I *think* a lot of the clear-net stuff that is cloud hosted is from businesses running their nodes. Their website and back end commerce is already at Amazon cloud or Google Cloud or wherever so that stays there too.
This is probably true, but this is making Lightning Network much more centralized than it should be. If something happens with major cloud providers that would shut down most of the LN nodes and capacity would see drastic reduction. I know VoltageCloud is actually using googlecloud, and any privacy on LN is also questionable when we know all this. As for most users, running one of the nodes in a box that I love or any pre-packaged LN node it's usually just a click to do TOR, or in the case of Umbrel something you can't unclick. So things like that probably make up a large portion of the TOR nodes. Where people want to do it, but don't want to do it by hand so to speak. Which is fine, I want to drive my car I don't want to know how to refine gas.
There are now so many options to choose from (myNode, raspiblitz, etc.) and Umbrel is just one of them. Sorting by capacity isn't really accurate though. If you sort by Node, you'll see better distribution (although Amazon still has 16.64% share).
You can sort them any way you like, but majority of nodes are still on cloud servers. Centralized exchanges are probably using cloud servers, for example I can see that Kraken exchange has Amazon ISP, Okex exchange uses Alibaba, and Bitfinex is using Google Cloud.

Mempool website added beta support for Lightning Network and you can find there lot's of useful information and pie charts. First thing you see is that most LN clear nodes are running on Cloud servers (Google cloud, Amazon cloud, Data Web Global Group, Digital Ocean, Hetzner, etc). However, around %80 of LN nodes are not shown here because they run on TOR, but 70% of liquidity and capacity is still coming from four biggest cloud servers with clear nodes. Clearnet capacity is 4,187 BTC; Tor capacity is 367.76 BTC; and rest of capacity is from unknown. This is clear centralization and I really don't understand what's the problem of running your node on raspberry pi or old laptop/computer... probably it's more convenient and cheaper to use someone else computer ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) What do you think about this? https://mempool.space/lightning https://mempool.space/graphs/lightning/nodes-per-ispPS I heard that Hetzner recently released some announcement saying that using their cloud for any cryptocurrency related services is against their terms, and they will have to ban that soon. Same thing could happen with all other cloud providers at some point.

Few days ago CoinDebit announced they are temporarily shutting down their service while they transition to a better prepaid card issuing provider. They had very big interest during beta card program and they are now working on better system for full product roll out. Everyone with funds on their card will be able to get full refund in Bitcoin or transfer of funds to new upcoming CoinDebit cards. https://www.coindebit.io/announcement

If they want to give away USDO, they should do so without requiring users to post to claim it (e.g. accepting entries via PM) and post it Bounties (Altcoins).
It's compromise solution, but I still don't get it why they should post giveaway in Bounties-Altcoins section for something that is not actually altcoin ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Maybe because 100$ USDO equals 100$ us dollars (and other stable coins) if I understand correctly, and I don't really know how exactly they are calculating real value for 1 USDO. This looks like a grey area so maybe we need special board for posting stuff like this.... anyway I think it's good they got unbanned quickly.

Yes. Similarly to BPIP, once posts are in the process of loading, my plugin will connect to my server's database and check for tipped posts.
Oh so that is why you wanted to use BPIP code few days ago (suchmoon gave his blessing) so this could be considered a first ever BPIP fork, let's call it BPIP Cash ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Is this extension going to be used only for Lightning forum tips, or you will try to combine current BPIP options with your own? Second quick question: What happens if your server goes down? PS I think this topic should better be moved to Project Development or Services, instead of Meta.
