2981  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Notes on: December 16, 2022, 06:53:48 PM
Could you reveal part of the private key (so that you have some authenticity) then have some kind of gadget that sends a message on chain to keep a record that the card has been opened, or something like that?
Partial revealing of private key in public would reduce security and increase chances of someone stealing your coins, so I wouldn't do that.

Is it possible to have bitcoin notes in that case, with the denomination (e.g 50 sats), the private and the public key, printed on the note, and each note have it's own wallet ID?
There are several types of Bitcoin notes already, and I even saw one project is working on DIY BTC notes that people could print in their homes.
I don't know if we could add 50 sats that you can't spent for anything today, and it would be very stupid to print something with value of 1 sat being around $0.00016,and 50 sats = 0.00840081.
Alternative for Bitcoin notes are cards that can be used like cash are Satodime, Satscard, and maybe few more.
2982  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: what is the best crypto wallet for mobile? on: December 16, 2022, 06:46:32 PM
hello all,  i am currently using trust wallet as my main wallet. my previous wallet has been hacked by someone and that too was a trust wallet. today a friend of mine had to face to the same problem i faced. his wallet also was a trust wallet. why these trust wallets are being hacked?? isn't trust wallet safe?? if no why?? is there a better wallet for holding my crypto temporarily?? i am asking about mobile wallets guyz, not about cold wallets.
No, something isn't automatically safe just because you stick ''trust'' or ''safe'' label on it.
I wouldn't use Trust wallet for anything because they are closed source and supported by Binance, but I can't tell you why you or someone else got hacked, probably because you didn't use internet correctly and you downloaded some malware.
There aren't many alternative option for mobile wallets that support shitcoins, but one of them could be unstoppable.money, that is open source.
2983  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [PRE-ANNOUNCEMENT] Looking for feedback. Crypto Visa Card on: December 16, 2022, 05:57:52 PM
So we forgot to mention the most important feature; You don’t need any form of ID to buy/fund a card. Our website will be live within a week.
That is good to hear, and I am interested interesting in reviewing and testing this cards when you release them, but please consider adding Bitcoin and other coins.
Maybe you could also explain why your cards will not work with ATM's, and are you planning to release both digital and physical cards with worldwide delivery.

Based on the first post, it's only virtual cards. OP also said they can't be used for ATM withdrawals, meaning you don't have a physical card you can insert into the machine.
Probably, but there are some physical debit cards that don't work with ATM's in some regions, and don't ask me why Smiley
2984  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kevin O'Leary says that Binance put FTX out of business on: December 16, 2022, 05:51:58 PM
Do you agree with him ? I feel this can cause legal issues for him for lying in front of senate.
It seems to me that FTX exchange was always government sponsored honeypot, that was clear after public fact that their CEO is one of the biggest donator to democratic party and they have other political ties.
It's not like I am defending Binance or CZ that are probably doing similar thing for China, but I don't think that Binance put FTX out of business, they did it themselves.
My theory is that this crash was intentional plan to crash FTX, than claim how crypto is wild west, blame Bitcoin for everything, and add new strict restrictions and regulations.
2985  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance’s “auditor” Mazars,nuked the website with Binance’s proof of liabilities on: December 16, 2022, 05:35:05 PM
All other Mazari websites work normally starting from their main .com domain, but they probably paused with crypo audits to avoid bad press.
I tried searching terms like Crypto, Binance and Kucoin and they deleted every trace, only thing that was giving me some results was when I entered Bitcoin term.
This doesn't look good for Binance, and I expect to see more problems for them in next weeks, but I said from day one that this Proof of Reports is just BS.

2986  Other / Meta / Re: We can not discuss if 'ChipMixer is a honeypot or not' outside their own thread? on: December 15, 2022, 11:48:34 PM
Protocol-level fungibility can be used to launder money so by your own logic you're promoting money laundering.
Didn't you saw latest US news?!
There was OG complaining and protesting every day about money laundering of US dollars.  Cheesy
If Elon Musk laundered money with his DOGE scheme than people shouldn't drive Tesla because they are supporting money laundering.
Anyone who sent deposit to buy Tesla is supporting money laundering, drug trafficking and illegal surveillance.
Don't buy a knife because knife can be used to kill people, and in some countries knife is already illegal believe it or not.

Fungibility on its own is not against the law, at least not where I am, and if it ever is outlawed then it would likely make protocol-level fungibility (or usage thereof) unlawful as well. For example some exchanges delisted Monero etc for "compliance reasons", which is a good indication of how this would play out.
I have to agree with him on one thing, it would be much better to have protocol based privacy for Bitcoin.
We can compare this with Monero, but Bitcoin is much bigger and it would be much harder if not impossible to make it illegal at this point.
2987  Economy / Services / Re: 🔥 Any Sport Livestream 🔥 - World Cup, NBA, NFL, UFC... (Free) on: December 15, 2022, 11:31:38 PM
If you want to share a service like Rojadirecta with the best sports streams just let me know and I will make the list on this post.
I won't get into legality of this service and I think we all know that people could get in trouble, so it's better to at least use some VPN for this website.
Problem I have is that this Rojadirecta website doesn't have https certificate so nothing is encrypted when you visit this website.
As for browser adblocker, there is much better open source alternative called uBlock Origin.
2988  Economy / Reputation / Re: JollyGood and his devaluing attitude on: December 15, 2022, 11:10:21 PM
You appear to be the 1 trying to keep the drama going IMO. You take every opportunity to call out JG that you can. The reality is you come off as a bully who is also trying to harass a user instead of just moving on and ~JG. If all the DT wanted him off then they would have removed him by now. You're closer to being ~ than he is IMO at this point.
Maybe he would stop if we didn't saw other members popping up all the time complaining about JollyBad and his feedback and/or behavior.
Just look at his post history, feedback to other members and than say who is acting like a kid and drama queen.
He is obviously enjoying this and he gave you a merit for your post, so good work in his eyes Cheesy

@BitcoinGirl.Club you should really stop feeding the troll, and leave him in his duplicated gambling topics.
2989  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [PRE-ANNOUNCEMENT] Looking for feedback. Crypto Visa Card on: December 15, 2022, 11:02:38 PM
We are looking for people who already use such services to find out what they encounter and what can be better.
If you used such a service before, could you please leave some feedback.
Tell me one good reason why you don't accept Bitcoin for funding your cards, and only USDT token on centralized blockchains that can be frozen?
Only reason I would think about using your card is if it can offer some kind of privacy anonymous cards without the need for passing any kyc verification.
It would be good to see more information about your cards and how they work, so post some website links if you can.
2990  Economy / Reputation / Re: Cryptochanger.to Locked SCAM or what? on: December 15, 2022, 10:55:48 PM
Member cryptochanger.to and shady team from their service created new topic and they started with the same crap in self-moderated locked topic.
Now there are two same topics that are both locked and I am again reporting new one to moderators for breaking forum rules.
They failed to reply or explain anything here, so I am warning everyone to stay away from this potential SCAM exchange.
New topic for reporting:

2991  Other / Meta / Re: Ignored user's post on QUOTE is visible on: December 15, 2022, 10:37:08 PM
I knew it from long ago but today realized that ignore option doesn't serve its purpose. If we put someone on our ignore list, his/her post isn't visible. But when someone else quote the ignored user, it gets visible which I guess doesn't make any sense. Why don't we have the option to ignore someone permanently in such a way that we don't see their post without removing them from our ignore list?
It's the same thing if I quote text from some article or magazine, or if I indirectly use words written by someone else.
I don't understand why would that be a problem for anyone, but if you want to go extreme than you can start ignoring everyone else who is quoting members that you ignored.
If you understand coding you could also try creating a script that would do what you want, but I think this is just a waste of time because in very rear occasions I see quoted posts from ignored members.
2992  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How does ballet wallet works on: December 15, 2022, 10:16:27 PM
I was checking an article on hardware wallets and got the link to ballet wallet. I was expecting a hardware wallet there but it's cold storage. However, I'm a bit confused. It seems like a paper wallet. If it's cold storage like a paper wallet; how the security of the private key is ensured? The company itself won't manipulate but is there a chance that they can manipulate; do they have access to the private key? If not, how do they generate the private key?
It all looks like a card; the private key (passphrase written) is covered as a scratch card. How is it a secure one?
Ballet is not really a hardware wallet, it's more like collectible item that looks cool and that's about it.
I think it's NOT safe to be used for storing bigger amount of coins, because you have to trust them and their manufacturing procedures don't have any leaks.
They claim they are doing this private key printing in different locations, but I prefer generating my own key or seed words instead of third party doing it for me.
For me this is not secure wallet, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
2993  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: SCAM upozorenja Zbirni topic on: December 15, 2022, 09:34:08 PM

2994  Local / Off-topic (Hrvatski) / Re: Kutak za kulturni trenutak on: December 14, 2022, 04:54:51 PM
To korejska verzija one spanjolske serije?

2995  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Gemini allegedly hacked, 5.7 million emails leaked on: December 14, 2022, 04:20:05 PM
As the title said, (allegedly) yet another exchange got hacked, this time "only" emails and partial phone numbers got leaked. All those having accounts there, get ready for phishing emails.
Some people would think that someone is sponsoring and paying this hackers to specifically target crypto exchanges.
I think that Gemini exchange is mostly oriented towards US and North America customers and they won't be happy about this leak, maybe we could expect new wave of lawsuits if they get tricked with some phishing scam, or if they start receiving calls and sms messages.
2996  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Coinkite ColdCard Mk4 Review on: December 14, 2022, 04:06:49 PM
You seem very angry, just don't use CC.
There is no reason for me to be angry for exposing constant lies of  hypocritical egoistic guy who thinks he invented wheel all over again Wink
I sure won't use CC, thank you for your smart suggestion, and I see you know very well how to rename repos and do git trickery cloning  Cheesy Cheesy
2997  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Coinkite ColdCard Mk4 Review on: December 14, 2022, 04:00:20 PM
There was not Trezor "clonning", you maybe unware that we also contributed to mod-crypto. That was the only lib shared with trezor, many share that lib few years back. It is the norm in any industry to share the same crypto libs, we have since moved to libsec256k1 maintained by core.
I am really sick of hearing you bitch all the time, but since you want to go this road I promise to dig deep and release everything about this.
First thing I am posting one of Coldcard tweets from 2018 when you released firmware as open source... but you used Trezor GPLv3 code, that you didn't acknowledged.
It's ok to say that I don't know what I am saying (because I am just an amateur) but you claim that Trezor main dev PavolRusnak is lying.

2998  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Elon musk listen to bitcoiners not to delete Hal Finney's account on: December 14, 2022, 03:49:38 PM
Hal Finney never wrote much on twitter, there is total of 41 tweets made by him with zero likes.
Most of his tweets are already archived and saved and there is always a chance someone could hack it and start new wave of controversy.
I would let Elon Musk do whatever he wants, because I don't really trust him after circus show he made with Bitcoin, Tesla and Doge.
2999  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Coinkite ColdCard Mk4 Review on: December 14, 2022, 03:34:53 PM
That wouldn't be possible there are thousands of contributors, all would have to agree. CC is largely single source (us), the very few external contributors had no objection.
You cloned and used parts of original Trezor open source code, and that is ok because they are the first original hardware wallet, and now you are bitching that someone else used and changed your open source code.
I found that extremely egoistic and hypocritical, but you can do whatever you want, it's your product.
Passport released everything including hardware as open source, and they used totally different hardware than Coldcard, so you are obviously going in totally different directions.
Good luck to both of you.
3000  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance's proof of reserves raises red flags: Report on: December 14, 2022, 03:02:28 PM
Almost identical wording to the not-an-audit that Mazars performed for Crypto.com, which as I point out in this post, is completely meaningless. And again, just like the Crypto.com one, absolutely no mention of their centralized token they can print out of thin air to prop themselves up and use to buy enough bitcoin to make everything look peachy.
Oh but Binance can ''burn'' they tokens and they are doing this circus trick to fool all the people how their token is special, scarce and very valuable.  Tongue
I posted their official reserves chart several times and they have extreme high amount of their own printed stable coin BUSD, that should be red alert for everyone, even without all the other crap they are doing.
I said t before and I will say it again CZ = Scam Bankman, so don't be surprise to see more arrests in future...
I don't care what this crooks are doing, but governments will blame Bitcoin for this and they will try to push for more strict regulations in future.
