3941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Germany Continues Shutting All Unlicensed Bitcoin ATMs on: August 29, 2020, 05:19:17 AM
Without having proper permission fro the government it is not possible to operate ATMs because it is related to banking so if they want to make profits in this way then better to go with all the improvements. ANd the service provider should oppose only if the ATMs which are regulated are getting closed. Roll Eyes
The crackdown on illegal and unregulated bitcoin ATM is understandable because as a government, you do not want your taxes/lifeline of your country getting cut short. In my opinion, the crackdown was not necessary, maybe make amends and make this illegal and unregulated ATMs into legal and regulated one. I do not know about the whole story but I think they are targeting small time businesses which is pretty scummy in my vocabulary, compromise could have make things better but my opinion is not worth a salt for their government plans.
3942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Patience above all will be rewarded here on: August 29, 2020, 04:40:05 AM
These people might be in need of the quick cash, but that does not mean they do not believe in bitcoin, what is wrong with that? The people who adapt survives and I do not see anything wrong with that, I agree that patience is a key but will hunger wait for bitcoin to reach the moon? No. I get that people hate bandwagon but is it really worth it to hate and create a divide in bitcoin community?
3943  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be carefull Newbies! Fake Promo-code scams on: August 29, 2020, 04:00:09 AM
Thanks for these heads up for newbies, pretty helpful in my opinion. You didn't include the link of the scam site though but there is someone who posted the link so the problem was already solved.

it is not necessarily a fraudulent scheme. Recently, there was a campaign called Root bat and there, too, in order to withdraw the money that came for the bounty, you had to make a Deposit of one dollar. I did it and it worked perfectly. So check the information - it's not always a Scam.
Your case is special one, the number of legitimate sites that do this is outnumbered by scam sites to the point that most people will not trust them no matter how legitimate they are, I agree that doing research is a good move regarding this one but always remember that in crypto space, "free" is a red flag.
3944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your keys, your bitcoin? on: August 28, 2020, 01:52:58 PM
The problem with the "your key, your bitcoin" thing is that most of the time, people share their shit to others, sometimes intentionally (to brag about it), impress someone (you trust your date aren't you?) or in some cases accidentally (slips about it and ends up telling about it).
3945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Research and Experience, There’s No Other Way! on: August 28, 2020, 12:46:43 PM
@OP, might as well add perseverance and enthusiasm as needed traits in understanding Bitcoin because its very technical for most people and at the same time, learning it would become somewhat boring that is why we needed also those two traits if we ought to understand BTC much better. Imho.
I think that it should be a given trait for anyone who is aspiring to learn/understand bitcoin. OP in my opinion got all the bases covered, regarding absorbing knowledge and stuff. The other stuff will be entirely dependent in the person.
3946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UK hospital launches rehab programme for bitcoin addiction on: August 28, 2020, 09:56:24 AM
What the hell? There are addicts in crypto? That is pretty crazy considering this might be an obsession that inhibits people to do other things other than Bitcoin. Maybe gambling is one thing but this is new for me.
3947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Laws of Bitcoin on: August 28, 2020, 09:21:54 AM
The last one is just a common sense, I mean why would you push your chips all the way when you know that the return will not be immediate. Most of the rules do make sense but I do think most of them can be condensed into common sense, a lot of red flags for promotion? Common sense, Letting other's opinion cloud your judgment? Common sense, Not bragging about your wallet? Common sense. If you know what you are doing then you are good to go, the more you know.
3948  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to Bitcoin in the long term? on: August 28, 2020, 08:31:31 AM
As history shows, miners will mine. When, for example, the price of bitcoin fell to 3000, many miners were faced with a choice whether to continue mining at a loss or stop it.
Many of them said they intend to close their large farms. Nevertheless, most of them continued to mine, because if they did not do it, others would.
Exactly, miners will be around as long as there are still blocks to be mined, i do think that the number of miners quitting and aspiring miners is not balanced or the former undermining the latter, it is the opposite in my opinion. I think the long term goal for bitcoin does not entirely involve miners, the global adoption could be the long game or other impressive things that are still waiting to be discovered.
3949  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and me (Hal Finney) on: August 28, 2020, 07:50:51 AM
Documentary worthy story in my opinion, especially he was a member of Cypherphunks in which some of its members were the suspected Cicada Testmaster. ALS is really something, brilliant minds taken away by this disease.
3950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can't wait until I can pay using bitcoin at the supermarket on: August 28, 2020, 06:51:30 AM
Just a feeling I have. It's all credit cards and dollars and shit.

Yeah, I'd rather spend the shit money and save my bitcoins, but I can't wait until I can use real money everywhere. I'd rather get paid in bitcoin and spend bitcoin.

That will be a dream come true for most users and even HODLers since they will be given the opportunity to directly buy something they need from a supermarket or grocery store using something that they gained over the Internet. Bitcoins platform is still expanding to most countries and would set an example that even fluctuating Cryptocurrencies have the chance in the market.
It definitely is a dream come true but I do not think that we should hold on to that because I do not think we are getting close to mainstream yet, there will be a lot of blockades that bitcoin will have to surpass to have these things become a real thing I might sound like a pessimist but this is more on pragmatic, I believe that bitcoin can go to mainstream but their biggest blockade will be government, the more corrupt the government the bigger the blockade bitcoin has to surpass.
3951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment plan on: August 28, 2020, 05:31:42 AM
Personally, I only put my chips on bitcoin, I have so much to learn yet. If we talk about long term investment, I do not think that we should consider just holding on to the cryptcurrencies, investing it in crypto businesses is way better in my opinion, it is a big thing considering that we are not spending the crypto we hold so we might as well invest it to something that has a return. Passive cashflow is better than stagnant one. Consider doing spot trading to grow what you are holding, my friends gave me these tips and I am currently saving to have a fund for trading.
3952  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do scams harm Bitcoin's reputation in the mainstream world? on: August 27, 2020, 12:43:44 PM
Definitely it hurts the image of bitcoin but I think that it is not a big deal because we as the community can help in preventing people from falling for these scams and scummy schemes. Imagine if people worked to educate people about these kinds of scams, reasonable ones will listen and become cautious, the image of bitcoin will only be truly tainted if we as the people who trust it did not do anything about it. We also should add that we are not the only one that works on making a good PR, authorities involved in cybercrime prevention makes the big chunk of contribution in these thing so we should help them whenever they are in need of help.

Remember that like Rome, Bitcoin is not built in a day or something like that.

3954  Economy / Economics / Re: Some are hungry, some are losing their homes - some are doubling their wealth on: August 25, 2020, 08:35:20 AM
This is the sad truth or harsh reality you can say. Every stock market crash brings in new billionaires or millionaires and on the other hand bring worries to the poor. Mukesh Ambani of my country has climbed up to position of 4th richest man from around 10th richest in this Coronavirus time itself. And he might just have donated a few million dollars into the government fund to fight his share of Covid. This is the sad reality these billionaires don't care about thr normal people. India has a lot of people who became rich in 2008 market crash some even made a fortune in local market crashes on 1991. Every crash makes a lot of billionaires.
I try to wrap around my head with that concept but I do not think that we should be blaming these people when they go up. I know that I sound like an ass saying these but what we lack is oppurtunity and I do not think it is unfair that only few rise to the top, our society encourages competition so they did nothing wrong in my opinion, maybe their abuse to their workers are one thing but that is for another story. The reality might be harsh but we can do something about it, we do not want other people tearing down other people but when it is billionaires, it is justified? Another problem is there are so many who are not content with what they have, maybe it is a good thing but when it becomes an obsession then there is something wrong.

Remember that there is no healthy obsession.
3955  Economy / Economics / Re: The number of jobless people has crossed one million in US - worrying sign? on: August 25, 2020, 06:19:53 AM
It is not just in the US with a high number of jobless people, but the other countries will also have the same experience, especially in this pandemic. Many people lost their jobs because of lockdown happens in almost countries, so that has an impact on the countries, but after the new normal, people seem to find a new job, so they can still survive. We can now try to get our needs by doing many things to earn money, so we can help the government reduce those numbers.
This should be a wake up call for people to vote for the most deserving and efficient leader. This couldn't have happened if they do their job that they promise to do during their campaign. I have lost my faith in people trying to run for offices because most of them get their power trip once they are seated on it, maybe putting a law where they should do their promises within a 2-3 year period and if they do not deliver then remove them.
3956  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it possible that the 1% group want to kill us intentionally with covid ? on: August 25, 2020, 03:22:55 AM
But they do need them. The reason the 1% are the 1% (at least the most powerful of the 1%) is down to exploitation of many workers and the size of the population..

Billionaires and millionaires cna make their money either directly or indirectly from factories employing people in countries like China, India and Thailand where its less cost to live and more demand for jobs than availability so people are forced to work in poor conditions (afaik).
This is what I thought too. Why would you kill your unique resource? The so called 1% will not be at the top without the help of the other 99%. This theory is just a complete BS because they have been killing people ever since. This conspiracy theory is just OP's justification on why there are people at the top.
3957  Economy / Economics / Re: China is winning the Economy Wars on: August 24, 2020, 11:50:57 AM
I wouldn't want that neither but I also do not want USA or EU to do anything neither, I hate china so if I was given an option of China or USA or EU at least I would pick EU that way I could say that they are not good people but at least they do not have that ill intention in a very backwards way, they would try to profit economically at the very worst and that is fine, they wouldn't make you go backwards in political way. Compare that to USA and China, they are very backwards countries, I already live in a backwards country so they would make it even worse.

Look at Syria and ISIS, that is basically what USA did that caused ISIS to grow bigger and bigger, or look at what China is doing at Hong Kong, they are trying to own them by brute force. I just want every nation to be independent, why can't we have big nations not meddle with other nations.
Why do we have to choose who we want to dominate? Why aren't people allowed to live in balance, why always choose the lesser evil when most of us deserve something better.

Correction in regards to Hongkong issue, China technically owns Hongkong but they are not following the rule by forcing Hongkong into their fold by 204u but they are enforcing it thus devoiding the agreement which does not ring good for Cantonese as they have a high degree of autonomy like Macau.
3958  Economy / Economics / Re: What should you learn so you never get affected by a economic crises ? on: August 21, 2020, 09:01:56 AM
Human effort is not enough in any organization , thank God for many technolog put in place to boost most economy, such as, computer engineering,  IT, Electronics device, mechanical graphic design and language translator etc.
This pandemic has cause many people realize technology is good for humanity.
We definitely should put efforts in our innovations but we also forgot that this crisis should help us shape us as an individual, we always innovate technology for the benefit of many that we forgot ourselves, try to improve as an individual first before anything else, your body is your shot at everything. We also should learn how to handle our finances really well because when another crisis arises, things will go south real quick because we didn't improve.
3959  Economy / Economics / Re: Our country was called Province of China. on: August 21, 2020, 07:34:34 AM
If our Puppet President still does not take an action regarding this then shit will hit the fan because people are slowly disliking his way of governance. I do not get how people are zealous about this Puppet when all that he did was launch a slaughter of the poor and suspected drug personnel, he is the greatest and vile enabler, with peace that came from the blood of others, I do not have faith that they ever get things done right. We also should make a shout out to the hypocrisy this Puppet does, if his allies commit corruption, he can turn a blind eye in a heartbeat, while the masses are drowning in poverty, he does not care.
3960  Economy / Economics / Re: China is winning the Economy Wars on: August 21, 2020, 03:12:14 AM
If you really are worried about China becoming too powerful because they are a dictatorship and you would rather not see them that much powerful I would say you should stop buying stuff that are made in China, I have started doing that most recently and try to go full local and even though it is a bit more pricey it is not as pricey as you might think, maybe 10% to everything you spend but that is it. Obviously who would want 10% more spending but that also means if the whole world does that China suddenly becomes a very poor country once again.

Also if you are worried that China is killing people, you should check all the other big nations as well, even USA kills natives right now with poisoned water instead of directly shooting them. I say your own nation is much better than any other nation, at least your atrocities are your own.
Supporting your local entrepreneurs is a good thing but in my opinion, it will not be easy to overturn China via trade embargos, the reason for that is most of the raw materials and essential products are produced in their country. The only thing that could make a dent to this unstoppable juggernaut is by relocating the factories of many foreign products to other countries and sanctioning trade embargo for raw materials. But that will not be enough because there is still a real estate bubble in China with their ghost cities and their state backed companies that rake in billions upon billions of dollars, these companies can't be easily removed as it has its roots so deep in many other companies that it will topple if they ever pull out their investment.

Regarding the killing of natives in America, the reason that they are different is that they have people who help defend them while in China, thousands have been missing ever since without any reason for them to be taken away, the so-called re-education camps are just a front to oppress the minorities in China, and families of these prisoners can't appeal to anyone as everyone sees this camp as a good thing thanks to life long propaganda and police state, this camps will stay there to oppress more minorities.
