I agree this should not be in the Long Term board, two weeks isn't a long term at all. You should move it to the main lending board, it'll get more exposure there. The link to move the thread is in the lower, left hand side of this page. Good luck.

Damnit Theymos, I'm an engineer not an artist! It's an actual 3d model I'm working on, still a work in progress. The back of the (virtual) coin is blank still. More to come.

While perusing those boards I've noticed a significant number of threads that I had never noticed before. Even the Altcoin Ann board has a few gems in it, but prior to this change those threads were buried, and if you don't know they are there, they're impossible to find.
I also think there's been far less spam in those boards since it doesn't help for newbie spammers and bots to post in the threads they've been promoting in the past. Suchmoon had recently done some statistical evaluations that support my suspicion.
Overall, the system has been working quite well, in my opinion.

I google error OP is getting, and there are many results that go back up to ten years in past, but it's not clear exactly what causes this error. Maybe it's a combination of GPG4Win and specific versions of the operating system (Windows in this case). I've seen that error before, and I think it was answered correctly by NeuroticFish. Also you may have to make sure that the signature file ends with .asc, not with .asc.txt By default Windows wants to save the signature as a .txt file. If the OP doesn't have Windows explorer set to show extensions of known file types it will look like it has ".asc" as the extension. The OP needs to make sure the extension is actually ".asc" for the signature file to decode the signature correctly.

it's seems unreal that you can infect Linux system by executing command in Electrum. Please somebody confirm or deny that it's possible. Dangerous misconception. Linux systems are as vulnerable to malware and viruses as any other system. Most hackers target Windows and Macs because they are more common, and therefor maximize the hacker's efforts. This has given many Linux users a false sense of security. Mac OS has been based on Unix for several years now, and as a result there are more hacks that can target multiple platforms. As o_e_l_e_o mentioned, you executed a python command from and untrustworthy source. The best way to ensure your safety is to delete your hard drive partitions and reinstall the OS.

The best I could find is the Bitcoin physical coins that are made from copper. I couldn't find any marketplace that facilitates this type of transaction. Selling copper for fiat is still the mainstream way to trade copper.
@elda34b, Thanks you for your comment. I think it make sense. Another cool idea! i never taught of this!! I don't think that's a practical sales venue for recycled copper. Coining (the manufacturing process used to make coins) requires blanks that are already the shape of a coin and need to be a specific size, with relatively tight tolerances. The size of the blanks is dependent on the features of the finished coin.

I am just trying here as a new avenue. There's nothing new about newbies asking for no-collateral loans, and there's nothing new about them getting denied. No one here will lend to you, so you might as start down yet another new avenue.

That's a bunch of BS! Luckily you didn't enter the command correctly, which is most likely designed to drain your wallet. No legitimate service is going to ask you to run some command like that. At the most they'll ask you to sign a message using the address from which you sent the funds.
Use ChipMixer, click on the link in BitCryptex's signature.

It's a nice shot, But send me me one when a car hits you off it.
Then we can compare notes
Didn't the driver have insurance? Or was it a hit-and-run? Or is this just an attempt at Loan-and-Run?

OK thanks. Yes, we're happy just to have the ETH and BCH. Would have been nice to get the SV too, it's at least $1000 worth but I get that it's impossible without the keys. Thanks for the help!
Before giving up on the BSV, you may want to try to update the firmware. There's still the chance that the device will not reset itself and function with the old seed still activated. Now that you've extracted the ETH and the BCH the risk has been mitigated drastically, and you're only out the BSV if it fails. Just a thought.

I want to kill myself. Your life is worth much more than $16k. I'm sorry for your loss, but if you're anything me you'll make more mistakes, it's part of life. They will only make you stronger in the long run. Thank you, at least I will not waste more time on this, and will be much more careful next time, checking signatures. Can't stress the importance of this enough. Even those who've been into crypto for a while can be duped by a subtle scam like this one. Learn to use PGP, learn to verify signatures. I just helped a friend of mine get into crypto currency (actually I forced him to, lol.) Before helping him set up his new Trezor T I showed him how to use PGP and verify Electrum and Trezor bridge downloads with it. It's one of the most important steps you can take to ensure your safety.

At what day did the scam happen and how? One of those days during the Earth's Holocene era. You don't deny that the scam happened, just that it didn't happen on the date h4ns said it did, which is irrelevant. The how is simple; you promised to refund the money, then didn't. You're reluctance to answer my four simple questions is all I needed to justify my support the scam-flag. So, feel free to shut the fuck up. Any minute now sweetheart.

I would like to say Thank You to all the users who took the time to make reports on abusers in the crypotalk campaign without really being asked. Right back at ya! Thanks for tackling the job, I'm sure it wasn't fun. The forum would have turned into a spamfest if someone hadn't stepped in, and there isn't any one who could have done a better job. I really didn't expect a reward, it's much appreciated. Helping you keep the forum free of spam was enough of a reward in itself and I'll continue to do so. I'd like to add a little extra to the users who did the hard work of finding the offenders. Speaking of class act; the kettle calling the pot black.
