4763  Economy / Lending / Re: [LIST] Bitcointalk's Lending Services [LIST] on: April 24, 2019, 12:19:07 AM
I guess you missed to add this guy, he only started April 19 unless you only place a lender who already gave a loan to a user here. This guy has none yet as of this moment.

teck28 || Required || || New Lending Service

I didn't miss him, I just don't want to include newbies or Jr. members in the list.  Even though I've clearly said that it's not an endorsement, I don't want to leave people vulnerable.  If he's a legitimate lender, he'll likely rank up in no time and I'll add him then.
4764  Economy / Lending / Re: [LIST] Bitcointalk's Lending Services [LIST] on: April 24, 2019, 12:05:18 AM
Can you add a column that says when they started their lending service or giving out loans? This way it would help those who plans to borrow to determine knows who are in this business and if they plan to borrow they are confident that their collateral (if they will use one) will be safe. I wouldn't send any collateral to those who are new and without any trade history.

I'll work on that, but note the list is organized with the oldest services listed first.  I'm using excel to create the table, and it wants to post dates as a numeric value.  Frustrating, but I have a work around.  I'll implement it when I have time.

Why all the fuss about "willingly locking my account"?  Why not just stop posting from the account(s) you want to "lock"?  What does theymos have to do with it if you decide to stop posting from those accounts?  What's with the deadline of one to two weeks?  Why does any of this matter to anybody reading the meta board?

Or, how about this:  Don't go away and just play the hand you're dealt.  Deal with your red-tags, accept the fact that some people are going to accuse you of doing things you may not have done, accept the fact that you Hilarious don't get along.

Grow a pair, and stop being such an attention whore.

This time last year someone hacked my account and changed my password.  This is to say I have now got my account back.  My temp account ThirdPrize2 will now become redundant.

Have I got any trust issues outstanding on this account?  I can't see any.

4769  Other / Meta / Re: I'm little bit confused about Yobit Campaign, I need an advice. on: April 23, 2019, 12:28:15 AM
Doesn't really matter now does it? Yobit signatures have been banned on the forum for the next 60 days

And if they actually come back 60 days from now, I hope they hire a reputable manger who'll keep the spam to a minimum.  Whoever that manager is, he'll have his hands full.

I don't know if they intended to pump the forum with a bunch of spam just to get their name out, and get people talking about them, but think about the way this worked out for them:  They had a tone of members spam the forum for a couple of days; the whole forum was in an uproar;  8 threads with Yobit in the subject were started just in the meta board.

It'll be interesting to see if they actually come back 60 days from now.  Hell, we'll be talking about them for another week at least.  They're getting a shittone of free publicity just from all the chatter.  The just scammed us for an advertising pump and dump.

4770  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Appeal [I doubt it was spam and reported] @ theymos on: April 22, 2019, 09:22:03 PM
So we're gonna get 129 appeal threads now?

The deluge ought to provide a few distractions from the incessant DT bashing and merit mafia malignment.

I thought nobody in their right mind would attempt to impersonate a Yobit shitposter Wink

Every AI has a set-back or two.  Remember HAL9000?

I thought it was harsh personally as I certainly wouldn't lump you in with the mass of yobit shitposters, but you were pushing your luck with the repeated off topic posts in my opinion.

I agree, in this particular case.  Mday, and a few others should not to be lumped in with the mass of zombies that flocked to that shitshow, but unfortunately they'll likely have to swallow the pill with all the rest.

If you're talking about Cryptohunter I would agree also. Not sure why he's currently feigning a ban though and trolling on other accounts but an admin should look into it.

Is she banned, or just faking it?  Obviously there's at least one new user with her style of ranting running around trying desperately to match Thule's red tags.

4771  Other / Meta / Re: Yobit spam on the forum on: April 22, 2019, 06:21:51 PM
Some people were talking about neg-trusting spammers for spamming. This is not appropriate; report the posts, and if that doesn't seem to be working well, come to Meta with specific examples and suggestions.

I know I've mentioned this, but  I'll refrain from tagging anyone for spamming, and follow your instructions.

I'm glad that Yobit is in a time-out.  Maybe next time they'll hire a manager rather than just encouraging a bunch of spammers to dust off their Sr. Member alts and plague to forum with shitposts.
4772  Economy / Reputation / Re: Yahoo62278, One of best campaign manager? on: April 22, 2019, 06:13:43 PM
You found one user in one of Yahoo's campaigns who's posts you don't like, so Yahoo isn't a good manager?  That's quite a stretch.

Yahoo has proven himself to be one of the better mangers here.  Besides, the posts of that user you referenced aren't even that bad.  I've seen much worse shitposts in paid campaigns.

4774  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Confused, bitaddress.org generate 2 addresses on: April 22, 2019, 05:16:14 PM
What security risk exactly in involved by storing multiple chains of coins on one wallet? (Assuming they have replay protection that is.)

None that I know of, but I have never owned any BCH and don't plan to.  My recommendation stems from the assumption that the OP is new to crypto, and keeping different chains on different wallets may be easier for neophytes to manage.
4775  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Confused, bitaddress.org generate 2 addresses on: April 22, 2019, 03:42:06 PM
Either coin can be sent to the address you've created, but only use the address for one type of coin.  If you send BTC to that address, use it only for BTC.  Do not send BCH to the same address.
4776  Other / Meta / Re: What does signature campaigns mean for DT abusers ? on: April 22, 2019, 02:48:50 PM
The thread is about when signature campaigns will accept negative trusted members the meaning of negative feedback will lose its power and at the same time the DT abusers will lose their power.

First: Only the shady sponsors of sig campaigns will accept users with negative trust.  DT didn't make those companies shady, their own reputation did.  Sponsoring the spamming of the forum by red-tagged accounts isn't going to help that reputation.  Birds of a feather, as they say.

Second: What power?  The power of persuasion?  That's all that DT status amounts to.  It's a review, and nothing more.  People can heed the warnings, or ignore them.  There's no "DT power" other than how prominently DT users' reviews is displayed.  That's all.  Go ahead and make it mean more than that if it pleases you, but it's still just a review.

to avoid derailing that thread...

Lol, that thread was off the rails from the OP.

Thanks for the list, I had asked LoyceV if he could provide an average earned merit of the participants of the campaign, your list makes it easy to calculate.  The 351 participants so far average 12.1 earned merit each.  That's actually more than I would have guessed, but there are 169 participants, almost half with 0 earned merit.
4780  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should I leave the Yobit signature campaign? on: April 20, 2019, 11:44:52 PM
I don't think you have to worry about getting red-tagged by any DT members just for wearing the signature.  I don't plan on tagging anyone for that, and I think most DT members are planning on holding back.  Like The Pharmacist alluded to; the OPs of many of those scam accusations just stop responding to the threads they created.  That could mean their issue was resolved, but since most just peter out we don't know for sure.  Furthermore, nobody has provided concrete evidence of a scam.  So, in my opinion tagging some for promoting a scam would be inappropriate given what we know today.

I might tag someone for plastering shitposts across the forum but if I do, that person will get ample warning and be given every opportunity revise his strategy.  And I'm talking extreme cases, I don't have time to police everyone who's wearing the sig.

As far as whether you should quit the campaign, that's really up to you.  I personally would not want to promote an outfit with Yobit's reputation.  Even if all the scam accusations are really just customer support and software issues, there are way too many for my liking.  And you know what they say about smoke an fire.
