for 1060 3Gb, driver 382.53 works and will work for epoch 185 but not for 186.

if someone find drivers that can do 186 or more, please share (maybe olders drivers).

to test it is easy: -benchmark 186

hello, I have a question about ledger and secure nodes :

when I bought the ledger nano S it was recommended to not use it as a mining adress because it would have problem if too many transactions occured between two uses of the ledger. Would it be a problem with 6 secure nodes (in the future, this means 6 transactions a day) on a ledger that is not used often or do the problem occurs with way more tx than that?

thx

Just add comma

,
after "cryptonight_type" : NORMAL

and quotes too, like "normal"

Still receiving the same error  Huh

the problem is somewhere in the last part of the config with examples. I did delete all that part.

my working config:

{
/* Type can be : normal, normalv7, lite, litev7, heavy, ultraheavy  */
"cryptonight_type" : "normalv7",

/* Intensity 0-> auto intensity, or value from 1-300  */
"intensity" : 0,

/* To use 2 threads per card set double_threads to true  */
"double_threads" : true,

/* Gpu target temperature, leave it on 0 if you don't want to use this option  */
"target_temperature" : 90,

/* If you use a SSL/TLS encrypted pool set this to true*/
"pool_use_tls" : true,

/* Mining pool address WITHOUT the stratum+tcp:// or stratum+tls:// part  */
"pool" : "xmr-eu1.nanopool.org:14433",

/* Address of you wallet  */
"wallet" : "mywallet",

/* Password for your wallet, probably just x  */
"password" : "x",

/* Location for devfee servers, to get better latency  */
"location" : "europe",

/* If you want to log console output, put a filename here  */
"log_file" : "log",

}

Hello,

for whose with 1060 3G that doesn't work, what drivers do you use? Are you dual mining?

most of my rigs are in 382.53 and one is on 388.00 I think, all on cuda 8.0,  and I have no problem in ETH only.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.4 (Windows/Linux) on: March 14, 2018, 03:07:08 PM
Hello guys,

just a quick question:

is it worth it to use the cuda 9 version of claymore on 1060 3Gb (the good ones ^^)? If yes, what driver do you use?

the drivers I have the less problem with are the 382.53 but they do not support the latest cuda.
Thx for your reply
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.1 (Windows/Linux) on: February 28, 2018, 04:46:57 PM
Hello Claymore and all,

I have a problem with my new rigs of 580 :
The -cvddc command has no influence. The voltage stay the same for all cards.

W10 64 bit, drivers blockchain, I tried claymore v9.7, 10.6 and 11.1.
Tried on 2 rigs with two different VGA card models.

My rigs with rx470 and 570 have no problem, same versions of windows and drivers.

The over/underclocking with claymore works well, only the voltage.

For information, the rx x70 are on old motherboards but the new rigs are on 1151.

thanks

is there a way to take back my hush that was in the web wallet or is it lost?  Cry

apparently no body cares about the upcoming fork as the price is dumping...

Hello,

I'm new to the xmr community. Just bought monero but I can't get them to my wallet.

When using the windows GUI wallet, the payment ID is 16 digits but apparently, exchanges needs a 64 one. HOw can I have a 64 digits payment ID with this wallet?

thx
You only need payment ID when you send to exchanges/retailers/services and they'll generate it for you. When you withdraw to your own wallet you don't need any payment ID.

cryptopia ask me a payment ID and bittrex too. And they are not happy with de 16 digit one.
It's optional. Just leave it blank.

lol
it worked...

thanks

hello,

the airdrops conditions are quite hard to follow. Specially the posting on forums, I'm not a much verbal person, and I d'ont think I have a lot of interesting things to share if it does not concern GPU mining...

Is it worth it?

what is the factor for this formula
Quote
For balance <= 10,000 ONION, equivalent ONION = factor X ONIONs in account

is more 0.1 or more 0.0000001?

thx

so, do we know when the tracking of node will work again?

it has been days since no reward as been acknoledged by the system :/
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZenCash: Private, Secure, Resilient CryptoCurrency with zk-SNARKs on: December 15, 2017, 06:07:59 PM
you have to think long term.

if Zen price triple, mining difficulty will triple too because zen is a minor coin in mining and profitability won't change much for miners.

but the numbers of node won't triple. Not only it is harder to make a node than to switch coin in mining but the pricier zen get, the harder it is to make a node.

Zen is a very good coin with more value than most but it's not even in the top 100 marketcap. Long term it's value may explode, and the node holders will benefit the most of it.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZenCash: Private, Secure, Resilient CryptoCurrency with zk-SNARKs on: December 15, 2017, 04:39:56 PM
Every time the price is trying to move up someone dumps it down again. Is there someone trying to keep zen down maybe?

Yes this somebody has a name "no marketing" and not smart % for secure nodes... too many % for miners (88%), too small for secure nodes (3,5%).
Dash is sucessfll and have 45%/45% so zen also should change it - min 10% for secure nodes should be to be stable and profitable for longer time. Now probably is too many miners which dump coins fast after mining.

If i can suggest something to zencash. Change white paper asap.
- miners 70% (18% less then now)
- secure nodes  15% (11,5% more then now)
- marketing 6,5 (6,5% more then now because in white paper there is no such thing... and this is one of the most important thing here and now to make zencash more popular!)
PBC could change zencash price 300%-400%... and zencash team alone can't change price since very long time - even secure nodes (so one of the biggest news/change for each coin) are on mainnet... because there are no marketers/smart marketers in the team Sad  That's why it is the most important to make % only for marketing. (in the future there should be also few % for bulding tools for secure nodes to go to mainstream with zencash)

It the end then zencash will be much more stable, safe and value will be much higher then now. Marketing gives value to the coin, then also it will be more profitable for miners and secure nodes... zencash will be more popular and budget for marketing will be also higher each month  (popularity, coin value, profit for miners, secure nodes will rise)

ps. i am miner and i have also coins prepaired for secure nodes

let me guess, you have nodes but you don't mine right? Cheesy

hi, is the start of the payment of secure nodes still planned for today?

I can't find the information on your tweeter nor blog

thx

thanks but I thought we need a transparent address in ztxxxxxxxxxxxx for the secure node reserve, will it work with a zn adress?

Hi, is there a way to generate transparent address with Arizen or do we have to use swing for that?

thx
