41  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin arbitrage - how to do it? on: January 17, 2024, 09:59:22 PM
These days I think that's not profitable anymore, you could just end up losing on fees especially if you're not using bots. It was a loophole back then but I think exchanges already know it and they are likely to take advantage on it too, so for those who aren't that diligent it's probably not for them to do arbitrage.

Watch out for this guys.

Could this be a sign that the Raptors are waving the white flag? This will be big for the Pacers aiming for the "win now".
https://www.espn.ph/nba/story/_/id/39330081/sources-pacers-acquire-pascal-siakam-trade-raptors-pelicans

This was posted recently and I guess Indiana is building something. Did the Pacers really get something from this trade or the Raptors made some incredible trade considering those 3 first round picks plus Bruce Brown who I think is in his prime as well?
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chief $TROLL Officer, Elon did it again (or the Community?) on: January 17, 2024, 09:29:49 PM

$TROLL made fast to memecoin eco, Elon Musk made a joke and that is a new memecoin. Despite Elon's influence, the meme has the logo of the first ever meme of, maybe, all of our childhoods. Can this be the next $PEPE or $BONK?
It could even be the next Bitcoin if the community want to, it's 2024 and people still believe that drama of whatever Elon gonna post will matter for a memecoin. That's why people get rekt. You may profit on it if you're early but imagine those who FOMO? This isn't sustainable long term.
44  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bakit sa Thailand at hindi sa Pilipinas? on: January 16, 2024, 06:51:24 PM
Siguro hindi pa secure ng Binance yung license dito sa 'Pinas or there's some reason na baka i-monopolize lang for local exchanges. Sa tingin ko 3 years is a long wait, baka pwedeng ma lift up yung rule?
45  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another question? Tell me your average amount per bet and your monthly income? on: January 16, 2024, 05:07:09 PM
Hello gamblers, this is a kind of survey aimed at getting to know my fellow gamblers better, particularly in the context of sports betting. I would like to know your average bet amount and your monthly income.

You don't need to provide exact figures; an estimate would suffice. Through this discussion, we can assess whether we are being too aggressive in our gambling habits or if we are playing it safe with our bets.
The estimate would likely be around $400 considering I'm not that into gambling mostly (I'm into trading and LP lately). Monthly signature income was around $300 but this isn't the only income I get considering it's in BTC and fees these days is outrageous so most of the time the money that I gamble were from my trades.
46  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to manage gambling winnings on: January 16, 2024, 04:12:38 PM
<snip>
For me that was a genius move and I think that's considered a legal loophole. I agree that US has these taxes to pay on anything that you earn and good thing to look at when you're country is shifting just like on the system they use. But, this only gonna be used when you're that good at gambling but if you're a man that having windows of lose and win, it's like you're just paying the taxes.
47  Economy / Gambling / Re: From $17 to $37000!!! Craziest Crypto Win in 2023!!!! on: January 13, 2024, 06:26:14 PM
Since it happen May 2023 last year, when did this interview happened? If this was just a recent one then probably he already invested most of his winnings on crypto? (of course I'm assuming this might have been a late interview and was just posted here lately) If that's the case then he probably have profit more on it if he did invest those winnings.
48  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bull run begun ? on: January 13, 2024, 05:36:46 PM
With the current performance of Bitcoins, should we say that the Bitcoin bull run has begun or we should expect the real bull run  after the halving as usual.
The current market state is already bringing joy, is this a sort of trap or what could have led to the current positive market performance.

I do really think, sharing experience can help one learn and avoid the shock of greediness on investment. Tell us your view on bitcoins market performance recently

I think the bull run already begun when we climbed from $20k up to this level, though I don't doubt another run will come but I think we may see a drop before we begun to see the generational bull run we may come across. For me it's no trap  but just normal thing in crypto, it's not a straight up bull run, we may see a roller coaster
49  Other / Off-topic / Re: Know when to stop on: January 13, 2024, 04:44:00 PM
One of the most important factor of a successful gambler is to know when to stop, most gamblers expecially the addictive type don't even know what is stop when it comes to gambling. So it's very important to;
* Stop when your losing is now getting to you.

* Stop when you are now feeling as is you can't do without gambling.

* Stop when you have a big winning, by channeling the money somewhere else so you won't lose it back to gambling.

* Stop when you are not even winning at all, it's not your thing.

* When your losing is weighing you down, stop and restrategize .
Can we agree in some part that those successful gamblers are those semi-addicted types of gamblers? Do you think they are the one that may have the urge to fully understand what you have stated regarding this "when to stop" stuff or even revise what's even more best? Just an opinion.
50  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You'll be a discipline gambler in sports if you have a real bankroll. on: January 13, 2024, 03:00:14 PM
So the question is, can you manage with $50 as your total monthly bankroll, or would you rather increase it and risk losing money that is not meant for such purposes?
Depends on the individual I guess. You might have that bankroll in mind to play with for the whole month but having just a good bankroll isn't enough if you'll be caught on emotions in the middle of the game. To be a disciplined gambler is to discipline your psychological capacity first then bankroll comes next.
51  Economy / Speculation / Re: will the btc price reach 100k ? on: January 13, 2024, 02:29:21 PM
What do you guys think?
We hit almost $70k when no traditional market comes in the play and with the exposure right now with the Bitcoin spot ETF that should be entirely possible considering how scarce it is. It may be a bumpy ride before we get on that level but we will get to that level and I don't doubt that possibility.
52  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Drop to Zero? on: January 13, 2024, 06:57:02 AM
it is very unlikely that the price of bitcoin will fall to zero. if that happens there will be a big shock in the world of crypto currency. aka the world of crypto currency is finished, no one uses it anymore, it's called crypto currency, whatever the name of the coin. everyone will not believe about crypto currency this mean crypto currency end and finish.
no more crypto currency
Now that an ETF was made possible I don't think we may see that scenario to happen unless anyone uses it no more. Even these days lot are still doubting Bitcoin and most of those who already know it but did miss the train up to this day really did miss the huge generational wealth they could accumulate. But, it's not that late to the party, I think 2024-25 will be a huge year for those who will join.
53  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Drop to Zero? on: January 12, 2024, 09:55:09 PM
Can the price theoritically drop to zero but practically trade above $40k. Kinda confusing.
Yes it's possible if no one would really use it anymore but everyone has their own opinion and he's not just that fond of Bitcoin. There's nothing confusing in it, he just share his opinion that there's possibilities that it may drop to zero but right now it's still trading so you basically can see it's still on $40k.
54  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sure match prediction on: January 12, 2024, 05:57:19 PM
I have 8 years experience about gambling.. so you can believe me about my statement.
Yeah we believe on your statement because that's your opinion to yourself but for sure I'll not trust my money over this joke. What's even more joke is that the odds you're trying to takeover as if you're the god of gamblers is way too high. It's way more true if you're offering some lower odds.
55  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Makakaapekto kaya Sa Bitcoin Adoption Sa Mga Nangyayaring Rigodon Sa Ating Bansa on: January 12, 2024, 03:20:24 PM

7 lawmakers from Duterte-chaired PDP-Laban defect to Romualdez-led Lakas CMD
Para sa akin lang parang ang layo o maliit lang na porsyento ang maaaring maging epekto nito kung sakali unless yung mismong nasa administrayon na ang magsabi mismo na posibleng magkaroon ng restrictions o kaparehong scenario. That's just my take kasi parang both sides neutral lang naman pagdating sa crypto adoption.
56  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What ugly incident or occurrence have you ever experienced in gambling? on: January 12, 2024, 01:56:33 PM
So far I haven't had this kind of encounter on my gambling journey especially when we talk about it online, maybe offline I did. Considering it's in Africa I think this is a huge sum of money already as almost as $3200 USD and it would just gone by a malfunction of his device. Truly life changing if he was able to cashout it in time but can we argue that it might be on the casino site fault as well? It seems he can easily click the button now that the crash game was over. Any thoughts?
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF approved, next Ethereum ETF? on: January 12, 2024, 12:01:29 PM
https://x.com/news_of_alpha/status/1745769388177842359?s=46&t=wHrUx5ZkTAtBKk5_0xEddQ

Even Larry Fink has now eye on it but I think that's not surprising at all. Well, can we see it being approved? I think so but they'll surely extend it same to what they did to Bitcoin. Bitcoin spot ETF has a close voting to be approved, what would you expect for the spot ETH ETF?
58  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think women will make better gamblers by their nature? on: January 12, 2024, 06:45:13 AM
Women by nature are more conservative than men. They are better manager of resources and know how to prioritise things. This is what is needed for successful gambling because with it, the chances of using funds meant for basic needs in gambling will be minimised.

So do you think women will make better gamblers than men?
Conservative but when they're triggered they can blow up as well in one go. Well, maybe it's a thing in the past but women these days do tend to take risks too, same as men, and that narrative that they might be a better gambler is just surely a hoax. They might be conservative but they're more emotional as well and we can't deny the fact that gambling tend to involve a lot of emotions.
I think women would be worse as their conservative nature is usually in their family, once they are in a local casino in Las Vegas for example their conservative nature gets out of the way and they become dangerous animals in the sense that they would not care much anymore and their only desire would be to win the jackpot or a lot of money.Their desire for wealth in my opinion is more than that of man but is buried down in their conservative behavior, once this is out the true nature unfolds.
I think I agree with you, most women these days or should I say the recent generations of women was on the desire for wealth may it be on any world countries. Can't say for sure on the later generations that may be introduced onto gambling, they're probably the women that aren't risk-takers at all or most probably wouldn't enjoy the sense that they will gamble.

60  Economy / Speculation / Re: BitcoinETF approval will possibly cause much bigger jump than most people expect on: January 11, 2024, 02:43:21 PM
There was no price shock or massive price pump after the bitcoin ETF was approved.
bitcoin price is normal. the increase or decrease is also small according to the price increase on normal days. like there is no big news at all to shake the market
Because it has been rumored for months now and that's when we go up from 20k to 48k just recently. As I've said before and what others are telling too, this is more like a sell the news thing, the psychological level people is anticipating now is if it touch $50k or slightly higher than that and people will move back to alts. By the way, people now speculates on ETH or even an XRP spot ETF, probably these two will run hard next.
