At least this ICO is pricing their tokens properly.

With all these new ICO's coming out with literally *billions* of tokens, and yet they have ICO prices at a dollar or more.  Terrible investment.

Po.et just announced their per-token price will only be $0.06  .... so even a very small investment will get you a lot of tokens.

And more importantly, its backed by some trusted names that have been in Bitcoin for years.  I hate to keep name dropping him but Adam B Levine is the host of Lets Talk Bitcoin where Andreas Antonopoulos first sprang from, and he is on board with this project heavily.   For me that's a significant factor as the potential for "scam" goes to literally zero with his involvement (in my opinion).  That separates this ICO from the others.

The developers have shown that they know and care absolutely nothing about what the real world needs with Bitcoin.   How it is going to be used by real people, and what the industry has been begging for, for 5 years.  

This is exactly why we are in this position in the first place.  People got fed up and split off from the development team that was vocally apathetic about everything except the code.  There was a massive disconnect between "lay people" and the dev team - and since there was no leadership in the dev team to force them to write code that would include end-user needs, it never got done.

TLDR:  The fact that one group has "competent developers" means nothing to me.  At the end of the day your code can be amazing, and no real human beings will ever use it if you aren't creating a product they care about.  And if your "competent developers" care nothing about what end users want, then you've got a product that will never get used.

Glad you guys decided to actually do something to make people aware of this ICO.

Kind of floors me that there's been literally no outreach anywhere online to inform people about this upcoming ICO or this project.

And your reddit is a ghost town with 16 subscribers. 

This could be a bad thing, and I would highly recommend getting someone going on social media hardcore in the next 4 days.

Unfortunately due to the insanely high total coin supply, the value of EOS is going to struggle to come anywhere near ETH or BTC, which only have 100m and 21m respectively.

1 Billion is a lot of fucking coins, and will pressure the price multiples of times lower as a result. 

That's why this bullshit $1.90 EOS price during the ICO is just that.   Bullshit.  With this many coins, people need to be able to get at least 50,000 EOS to make any substantial profits, and that's impossible at this absurd fake price.

That's *exactly* how it played out with Ethereum, except people had to wait nearly a year and a half for a single line of code after the ICO, and it wasn't another 2 YEARS after that, that the price actually broke out past $2.00

And the ONLY reason it did that in the first place is because of Bitcoin failing to scale and people jumping ship to its "alternative".

Had Bitcoin scaled in a timely fashion and confidence not been lost, I doubt ETH would be above $10 right now. 

Keep that in mind when it comes to EOS and price predictions.  Hope you have 3+ years.  Make that 10 if there's no crisis among the other coins. 

And EOS doesn't even provide an entirely new platform like Ethereum does.   At least BTC and ETH were completely new concepts.  That's what gives them their value.

Do you newcomers to Cryptocurrency (referring to you guys who run this Tieron ICO and every other newcomer from Silicon Valley) not comprehend that 1 Billion tokens insanely dilutes the value of your tokens, and makes it impossible for your investors to make money?

The value will likely go almost nowhere or very very little.  You would need to be holding 60,000 + tokens to make any decent ROI on the insanely tiny moves these coins will make on exchanges.  What's the obsession with 1 billion all the time?   There's even one with 3.4 billion.   

Think a little folks.  If you're going to come into this space - don't change a proven model that has been shown to work.  There's a reason ICO's before you guys got here all had thousands of percent in increases.   And none of them had ONE BILLION tokens.

Their backers are legit.  I've spoken to Adam Levine directly about it.  If you're not familiar with who he is, he's one of the biggest voices in the cryptocurrency space as he is the founder and lead of the Lets Talk Bitcoin podcast since 2013 (this is where Andreas Antonopoulos first sprang up from)  and he's listed on the backers section on their site.  

Adam has been heavily involved in trying to figure out a crypto-usecase for online publishing and media, as well as artistic works.  This project sort of touches on that.

When I asked why there was no bitcointalk thread, the answer in effect was:

"Poet is focused on business development and partnerships [to build value for the token and the business]" rather than hyping things with vaporware on social media platforms.

They've avoided the vaporware approach and already have an Alpha Testnet up and running, but they also have a Sub-reddit and a Telegram and a Slack Channel for communication.  But quite a few people view Bitcointalk as a place where people just talk too much trash.   That wouldn't be inaccurate.

Note:  I am not related to the team, so no translation requests, etc.  Many know I've been around this space for many years.  I am just excited about this project, and its strange there is no announcement here since the crowdsale is coming up soon.  I'm interested in keeping the information flowing.  There seems to be a major pivot happening in the ICO space where these companies are more interested in doing actual deals with other businesses in the industry, rather than empty promises or hype on Forums or Reddit.   That was the explanation I was given for the lack of social presence for Po.et.  They're already hard at work building an actual product.  I've been in this space since 2012 and this one's legit.

Howso?  They're already trading IOU's on HitBTC at nearly $1.90 per coin.   If I did my math somewhat right, the ICO price was about $0.40 .....  and for some reason just like EOS, its maintaining an absurd price on exchanges.

Vircurex basically stole $10,000 worth of Litecoin from a friend of mine when they went 'temporarily insovent' several years ago.  Promising to pay everyone back - and never did.  Their repayment schedule (still owing massive amounts of money) has not been updated since 2014, and was removed from the site soon after.
