Do you think there will be an Eth Token that would compete with the parent coin price wise? I think most of the legit tokens have a very specific use in mind - NVT for example and the enabling of Electronic Game Card Trading and ownership on the blockchain. With the ICO it's worth/costs 1 millionth of an Eth but will it gain more value when Eth gains more value - without moving it's actual value - or will it gain in it's own right (just using that token as an example of a new token - substitute the above for any new token)
What happens if soft caps aren't met are most/all ICO's cancelled - or extended? What generally happens to Bounty Rewards in that case? Are they just wiped and nothing gained?
I'm guessing that there are no hard or fast (or legal) rules in place for these scenario's? Or are there?
ETH - After Caspar and Plasma will have much quicker and, crucially, cheaper transactions. So for me this. People are so used to not having to work in decimal places with FIAT currency that I think this is a crucial thing - people don't like having to think about or work out to many decimal places. So maybe a coin will come along where you can only deal in say 1 decimal place - or ideally no decimal places.. Is there anything out there like that at the moment - or anything coming up in the near future?
As Bitcoin rises in value it will stabilize and become less fluid - for this we're probably talking $1m per coin - rather than kill altcoins it will encourage investment and alt currency pairing - much like the Norwegian currency is used in FIAT markets.
There are some of course which don't seem to have much weight behind them - always research and check the team behind the project - if it's a project that interests you and you think has potential - and you can communicate effectively and quickly with the team involved - then dig deeper. If you can't get hold of the team/get answers/if there's no team listed (check Domain Name records etc) then avoid.
Prices have stabilized today for ETH and other coins today so, coming up to the end of the 2nd week of the ICO for NVT, it could be a good time to jump onboard the Nova Token ICO. More value = more tokens = more cards. https://novablitz.comhttps://t.me/novablitz.
The token bonus also gives an edge/added incentive. Of course, as always do your own research and due diligence.
ICO's are a great way to learn - even if you are planing to invest much it's always worth reading through the ICO Whitepapers to see how people/companies are utilizing Blockchains - there's always great information out there. There are a lot of ICO's of course and with that a large number that will probably not amount to anything but vapor - always do your research - particularly of the people/teams behind the launch.
Ethereum for me - I can see it rising throughout 2018 and also with Casper (cheaper transactions) and Plasma (a lot more transactions per second) coming c. early 2019 I think it could rise further.
This is not investment advice of course and just my own opinion - always do your own research and due diligence
Agreed, I'd use myetherwallet for ease of access speed - you never know how busy exchanges are really at any one time. You can send direct from coinbase of course but I'd like to use the same address for sending/receiving and prefer it to both be from/to my own wallet.
On a side note do you think there are other ICO's coming up that will finish that quickly - also what does a quick finish signify? popularity? big companies/dealers buying in - and if so, for what reason?
