but you could and be protected because cash has protections.

How is any of those equivalent to cash? Cold hard cash?

there's no mention of "x" ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) ...anyways for me it's about lesser rigs and more hashes. Also, Sapphire 280x might be more cost effective, good luck on finding them. XFX ones are there on FK, which are never recommended and they won't give you the cost-effectiveness since it has lower hashes XFX cards have reliability problems, not lower hash per se. Those things are chips of silicone, the quality varies from card to card, I haven't ever heard about XFX ones giving lower hashes in general. Mind pointing to any link that you've read on this?

Upto 3 unpowered ones won't hurt. Get your hands on whatever you could since getting those cables from HK to India takes over 2 weeks xD

![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) A hero member! lol thanks for update ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) nice suggestion ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Oh my bad! I actually thought your account might be hacked. Oh and btw A Sempron 145 would suit nicely instead of Athlon. And for PSU, always go for Seasonic. They deliver the best products in prices lesser than Corsair or Cooler Master. MSI R9 280x are very much available locally, at least last when I inquired in Kolkata last week. XFX should definitely be avoided, but if nothing else is available they'd be better than R9 290s with worse Kh/Rs ratio. People do mine with 16X 7950 XFX branded.

A 6950 will have 40-50 kH less than a 6970. If you get a good 6950 and tune it right, you might actually get almost at par with a 6970. If it's just about mining, why're you so specific about a 6970? Btw 6xxx series is pretty old and outdated, most owners that'd be selling would have no bill anyway. I think that 6950 guy does.

Every village has at least BSNL and Airtel towers. GPRS is sufficient for transaction (heck, I even use GPRS for mining as none of the 2 broadband providers will give me internet due to location). An android phone can be had for 2.5K. An used netbook for less than 7-8K. I don't see how this is not affordable when it's a co-op in case and not individual farmers themselves. This will be swifter, cut down on costs and also more transparent as many farmers might not have bank account of their own but can have their own wallets, with wallet file being stored on a cheap pen drive.

Read "Properly tuned" as a combination of overclocking, undervolting and an optimized scrypt algorithm. Its definitely possible to get 650KHS at 200-210W running in the low 70s. Though I agree with you that the VaporX will have a better edge over the DualX in cooling.
I pointed you to the litecoin wiki, you should check it out. No serious miner ever runs his cards without underl volting. That's one of the reason why sapphires are so popular as they are voltage unlocked. Despite under voting, when you ramp up the core, it's going to eat 220W which will read 250ish at the wall. I've personally tuned 5 off 7950 and honestly speaking I prefer keeping them them in a safe range of OC so temperatures don't run anything over 90C. It's a case of diminishing returns where a sacrifice if 20-30 kh/s for a 5C temp drop is preferable. And keeping within the safe range I've gotten 650 with only one vapor x. Another point is, the new vapor x use 2 of 8pin pcie, probably hinting they use more wattage. I'll be getting a kill a watt myself soon.

R9 280x v had taken the crown from 7950 as the king of mining. They give ~750kh vs 600kh of 7950, cost 23k new. That's why I wonder why 7950s are selling at such inflated prices
R9s run 250W v/s 200W of the 7950. A properly tuned 7950 can put out 650KHS with ease. So really you are only getting 100KHS extra at 20% more power utilization. Good prices though, @jinson. Best of luck on your sale. 200 vs 250 on stock? Look at the litecoin wiki's mining hardware comparison page and you'll see that an overclocked 7950 will draw anything between 220-260+W and an overclocked R9 280x will draw 250-290W (as measured by kill-a-watt. These are power draw figures at wall, so the actual draw is less and thus within the max TDP range). And you don't just pull 650KH/s with a Sapphire Dual X with that ease, the majority of them have low ASIC score. To get 650 out of that is usually impossible without hefty OC which will draw 250+ W (and run at 80+ C). A Vapor X or Asus DC2 version of 7950 will give you 650 KH/s but they also have wose KH/$ ratio. Any how the two cards come really close.

1 and 4 are network related. When the connection between your machine and pool is dropped, some of the work your machine has done can't be sent to pool servers for shares, cgminer displays 4th msg.
Thread 1 being disabled could be due to many reasons, you have to post your .bat or .conf file and specs too. Maybe wrong parameters or throttling.

And receive them 25 days later. Time is money that's why people are willing to pay such inflated prices. I had 2 pair ordered from Hong Kong on 12th (shipped same day). Only one pair reached me 2 days back. Still waiting for the other pair.

Good idea subvolatil, the individual trades should keep it up until the exchanges are back in action.

Peoples who don't know anything about technology is monitoring Internet Business and even they can't understand what is Bitcoin ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) In India the afsar-shahi is always reluctant to learn about new things but rather try to apply old rigid framework on newer concepts that don't even fit in. A visit to any BSNL office will show that with the uncles and aunties working there with very basic knowledge of networking.
