41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you truly believe in cryptocurrency on: May 16, 2018, 06:37:56 AM
Seems like most people just want to become super rich in a short period of time.
If you don't believe in this new technology, and just want to earn quick money, I think you will probably not achieve what you want.
All I want to say is be patient, live your life, and don't get too emotional by all the negative news/FUD. Yes, crypto might be ended in a really bad way and you lose most/all your money. But if you truly believe in the new technology, just invest the projects you like the most and hold until it gets mature and returns.

I am a believer and supporter of cryptocurrency. Since I started doing business in crypto, I find it enjoyable, and you own your time. Aside from having profit in your crypto investment, you are also able to manage your time well.
42  Economy / Economics / Re: A government can create a cryptocurrency ? on: May 16, 2018, 06:33:41 AM
What do you think about this possibility ? Would you invest in your government currency ?

This is possible and probable since governments have funds and have resources to create their own coin. It would also be good in terms of online transaction so that payments will be based on that coin rather than using credit card or debit cards. However, disadvantage is that, only the people in that country will be benefited.
43  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people think everyone is a scam? on: May 16, 2018, 06:31:56 AM
It seems as though there is a predominant attitude about people trying to do business that most people are scammers. We have run into this time and time again, accusing us of running "dirty" money or stolen goods.
We put ads or offers in various places saying "vetted buyer" and "respected escrow" and still get negative comments from people that don't even want to do business. They would just rather demean and abase and not add any positive thoughts.
I will say that we have had pretty good success in spite of the naysayers. Doing business in this way is new to most people and seems foreign. But we have plodded through and have achieved a success that has proved that not all are wrong.
There are people all over that are looking for honest services, and we have carved a niche for that entity. We know that there are scammers out there, but we are working to elevate us to a position of reknown.
Not all offers are scams!

Well, those are thinking of people who never been and experience in crypto world. There maybe some people involved in crypto who are real scammers but 98% of us are not. I believe that these people who thinks that doing business are scammers are those who have no knowledge about business and no money to invest as well. Just keep doing a gopod business and they will soon see the good results.
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I never sold my First bitcoin. Are you also emotionally bound to bitcoin? on: May 16, 2018, 06:29:33 AM
It has been 2 years that I bought my First bitcoin. I have never been able to sell or trade it. Is it only me who is emotionally binded or does this happened with anyone else?

Also, is it a good thing to be emotionally attached so much to Bitcoins?

It is a normal feeling since it is your first bitcoin and you may think that its more valuable especially that you exerted effort just to own that. However, you can make it grow by double if you just know how to trade with it. If not, then sell it when the price become high and buy again when it becomes low.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Future of Cryptocurrency on: May 16, 2018, 06:27:40 AM
Seoul Mayor Plans to Unveil Better Self Crypto for Stratup Blockchain.

Park Woon-soon has announced that South Korea will launch its own crypto and create a better environment for startup companies Blockchain and cryptocurrency in the country. He wants to form a blockchain that is oriented like a startup industry and focuses on developing Seoul's cryptocurrency, 'S coin'.

One of the reasons for the development of 'S coin' is to improve the transparency of governance that exists there. Although the Korean government initially applied very strict rules against cryptocurrency.

what do you think about this? is this good news about the development of cryptocurrency in the future?

It is a good move for south korea's government to launch their own coin. This will make an impact in the global community especially those who are in doubts of embracing cryptocurrency. If this will come to reality, for sure cryptocurrency will be really have an high demand and countries will start to highly recommend investing in crypto.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This guy has lost 103 Bitcoins on: May 13, 2018, 09:37:06 AM
This guy has lost 103 bitcoins he mined back in 2011 and then lost his wallet dat file similar to what I have done but wow this guy must be gutted the amount of money he has lost compared to me

His Address    166BuLPWHUjqoqiYp5rGE3B5r5AmqgHpoL    Final Balance   103.20832384 BTC

So many people have the same problem and I wonder just how much Bitcoin is stuck not being able to be used Sad

He says "I used to mine Bitcoin back in 2011 and I lost my wallet.dat file (through several stupid moves on my part). It's got approx 103 BTC in it, anyone is welcome to it, I've given up trying."

Those were the days when bitcoin was actually undervalued and the price is not as much as of now. Maybe, that person took for granted that amount of bitcoin because its not valuable as is now. But no, if you lose that amount, it will be really so disapointing and saddening.
47  Economy / Economics / Re: one question tickling my mind on: May 12, 2018, 09:53:32 AM
i have one question..

in 2011 bitcoins per 50,000 to 500,000 we spent for nothing, just pranking and stuff...

if one person kept 50,000 bitcoins in his account from 2011 up till now,

would the bitcoins still be valid for transactions?

Of course, that would still be valid until now. As long as it is bitcoin and bitcoin is valid, those are greatly valid transcations with high price. Just remember to keep your private keys until now and surely, you could still use it.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HOW CAN I START BOUNTY??? on: May 11, 2018, 08:50:17 PM
HOW CAI I START BOUNTY?I'M NEW USER TO BITCOINTALK

The first thing you must do before you join bounty is to rank up to Junior Member. While doing that, you do your own research about bounty campaigns, ICO projects by reading articles and forum discussion here. Then, you go to bounties and search for the good bounty campaigns. There are lot of them like facebook, twitter, signature and many more. I suggest, follow the rules before you join.
49  Economy / Economics / Re: crypto market demand is increasing on: May 11, 2018, 08:47:40 PM

Cryptocurrency has been a fast growing industry since its official launced. People see cruptocurrency its potential in making them wealthy and gain assets thats why many are hooked and getting into crypto world. That articles is indeed a good news for everyone.
50  Economy / Economics / Re: A wise strategy for your bitcoin on: May 11, 2018, 08:43:51 PM
Hello everyone, I want to share about my strategy with bitcoin and I need your advice.
So the example is, I've buy bitcoin in price $2000/btc with amount $750 so I have 0.375 btc. When the price climb to $4100/btc, I sell my 0.184 btc to get my first capital and get $754.4 and 0.191 btc left .then when the price dump again to around $3900, I buy it again with my $754.4, so I get 0.193xxx btc and  my total btc is 0.384xx. With my $750 I can keep increase my bitcoin with this strategy. So what do you think. Am I doing right with my bitcoin? Or you have any advice. Please explain.

That is certainly a good strategy and you are on the right track. You simple buy when its low and sell when its high. However, you have to always see the market and get a good timing so that you can always win or gain in bitcoin. I would suggest, you also invest in other coins.
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some government ban bitcoin? on: May 11, 2018, 08:41:15 PM
China-based cryptocurrency exchange BTCC suspended all domestic trading in yuan last weekend. The decision came on the heels of a September 5 statement from regulatory authorities in China, which required all domestic cryptocurrency exchanges publish closing announcements, stop registering new users, and establish a schedule to cease yuan-denominated trading by September 15. Huobi and OKCoin — two other exchanges based in China — have announced similar plans to stop trading. To be clear: China has not banned the use of cryptocurrencies. It has banned cryptocurrency exchanges and initial coin offerings (ICOs). Even still, it has prompted some to consider whether a government might ban cryptocurrencies like bitcoin — and, perhaps more importantly, whether such a ban would be effective Smiley Smiley Smiley

Some governments are banning or banned bitcoin because they simply cannot regulate or control it. Bitcoin is virtual currency and provides financial freedom, decentralization and privacy to its users. These things are opposites of the governments policy thats why they are trying to banned bitcoin.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much can you make from bount campaigns? on: May 10, 2018, 07:46:11 AM
What's a ballpark figure you can earn from all these bounties that get posted?

I have a high number of followers online and recently started making crypto videos, I'm looking to do a weekly showcase of promising ICO's and a full promotion over all my social media.

Will I be able to earn a decent amount from bounties? Shall I contact ICO's and ask if we can do a deal instead of bounties? I just don't wanna put a load of effort into promoting ICO's if it's for such a small amount.

Thank you :-)

The profit in bounty depends actually on how many campaigns you join, the value of the coins of the project and the promotion of the project. Sometimes, you win and sometimes you lose but the minimum I think you can gain in bounty is 200USD per ICO. If you are hardworking in doinf bounty, then surely, you can make a lot!
53  Economy / Economics / Re: Is small business ready to sell for cryptocurrency? on: May 10, 2018, 07:43:28 AM
What do you think, how many people are ready to sell their goods or services on crypto? Let's say that we have service which help quick and easy to build online store and sell for cryptocurrency. What kind of reasons can motivate people to start a crypto business?

Well, small business I think are not yet prepared for cryptocurrency adoption and integration in term as a method of payment. There are still many things to consider before that happens. Especially so, the price of cryptos is volatile and the transaction fee is quite high.
54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop Listening To False News... on: May 10, 2018, 07:41:59 AM
The current "crash" is caused by one bad "news" after another. A lot of them are the false or twisted truth.

For example, today, once again "China Full ban crypto". What the... Why is it causing another crash?? Why is it even "news"?

It was already banned in China back in September 2017. All trading platforms suspended trading in September. Anyone from China who still trade Crypto must be using foreign platforms. Sure, they reported that China added all crypto exchange sites to Great FireWall. So what? These people have VPNs! When I was in China, everyone who visits foreign sites use VPNs. Yes, China banned VPN as well a long time ago. So what? Everyone is still using it. Just like ignoring the traffic light is illegal in China, but at every intersection, you will see people ignore the red lights... the truth! Just because it is "illegal", does not mean no one will do it.

So just this (one) news of China banned Crypto, it was repeatedly used to crash the Crypto market (4 or 5 times). Do not fall for it!
1. Summer 2017, China banned ICO.
2. September 2017, China banned crypto trading.
3. November or December? China became unfriendly to crypto mining (Large-scale miners moved oversea already)
4. January 2018. China banned websites of foreign crypto exchanges. (VPN!!!)
5. Today, "China Full Ban Crypto"... (Really?)

So what is next?
"China really ban crypto"?
"China really full ban crypto"?
"China really really full ban crypto"[IMG]
"China will jail anyone who trades crypto"[IMG]
"China will execute anyone who trades crypto"?
"China will nuke every country who trade crypto"[IMG]??

Stop spreading this nonsense. What's done was already done in September 2017. Nothing has changed ever since. NOTHING really changed in the last 4~5 months.

Yellow journalism at its best.

Same goes for Korean and Indian news. South Korea did not really ban crypto. Just one guy wanted to ban it. It was not approved, nor implemented. So far they have only added regulations that people can no longer trade anonymously. So what? Didn't Coinbase, Kraken, Bittrex etc. US-based platforms all require our IDs and photos?

India also did not ban crypto. Just a minister made some unfriendly speech toward crypto. No real "ban" whatsoever.

From the look of it, someone or some groups are trying hard to make the prices go down. The sad thing is, people are falling for it. The same China "news" was used on 5 occasions to cause the market crash while nothing was really changed or happened. Korean news was used on at least 2 occasions.

The bottom line is, let's just ignore all the stupid "news". Use our brains. Not hearsay from yellow journalism. It is getting annoying to have every little "news" to impact the market price.

There is no good benefit in spreading and listening to false news. Readers should be more vigilant and wise in choosing or believing the news about bitcoin. It takes a good mind to believe a good news and vice versa to unwise mind. Those negative news really hurts the reputation and trust of people to bitcoin.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam coins everywhere. on: May 08, 2018, 05:52:09 PM
It really is hard to believe that there are some ICOs who are intended to scam people. There are all hypocrits and rely on the weakness of people especially those who are new to bitcoin. So sad.

That is the common trend these days. There are a lot of scammers taking advantage of the popularity and benefits of cryptocurrencies. They cannot think of legal ways in making money and acquiring assets for themselves. It is indeed very sad to think that these scam ICOs are collecting the hard earned money of people.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When do you think Eth will break $2,000? on: May 08, 2018, 05:49:16 PM
When do you think Eth will break $2,000?

We can never tell when would be that time. If we try to study the market of ethereum, the market volume and transaction has a big difference. In terms of usage, ethereum is the main platform used in many projects and even those in crypto world. Breaking 2,000$ mark will be determined by how big the market volume for ethereum.
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin failed as a currency on: May 08, 2018, 05:43:44 PM
Bitcoin was supposed to be used as a currency, not only a form of investment. However, it's been more successful as a form of investment, a "speculative asset".

Do you guys think that this can change in the long term ?

Bitcoin is really supposed to be a currency that will be used in buying, selling and payment for certain items or work. However, because of its success in having a high value or price, it became a main source of investment, a making money method by many people. Well, this is not bad afterall because its just justify why it was being created.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Long term vs. Short term on: May 07, 2018, 12:19:54 PM
How are you handling your portfolio? How much are risking in % of your portfolio in short term gain vs. Long term gain?

Well, I prefer the short term gain but a lot of gain. Sometimes, holding coins for short term is good becaus ethe value would drops as time goes by. There are also many coins that worth the keep because as time runs, their value keep on increasing.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reaching Exchange Before ICO Ends on: May 07, 2018, 12:18:07 PM
This would be fun and exciting!!!

Just imagine an ICO Project that is already in exchange right after the project starts!
Let say the token price is $.05 but in the exchange it is $.001, we can say it is cheaper than the original price but it is assurance that your work and your effort will be paid off 101% at the end of the campaign and the token has chance to grow and that is not a problem at all.

What do you think?

That is true and a normal situation in every ICO or project. The market seems to be difficult for new coins because most investors have to hold their purchased tokens during ICO. That makes the price very low because of low transactions and demands for the coins.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm now a MILLIONAIRE because of NEO. on: May 06, 2018, 07:25:59 AM
I bought in early, and kept dollar-cost-averaging along the way. I now around 35,000 NEO which are generating me about .5 GAS per hour. With NEO, and the GAS making me free money 24hrs/day, I can essentially quit my job now, as income from GAS alone could pay my bills in my Country. Cool

That's a very large amount already. Since you invested in NEO earlier, you are very lucky because the price has increase and it became one of the most valuable coin in the market. You seems to be really satisfied with that.
