If you sell, you lose but if you hold, you can retain back the past value of the amount of bitcoin you hold. It's a choice that you must choose wisely, keep and wait until the dust settles and covid becomes treatable so that there will be no longer panic from the market from different sides of the market.
The news says that there's a huge percentage of affected people that has been cured and recovered so there's a cure and antidote that has been made and applied to the affected people. The health sector is doing their best to fight this pandemic.
This came as standard instruction where I am : There is currently no specific treatment for coronavirus.
Antibiotics do not help, as they do not work against viruses.
Treatment aims to relieve the symptoms while your body fights the illness.
You'll need to stay in isolation away from other people until you've recovered. Just like a cold or flu, this has to be fought by the body. I am not sure about what antidote you talk about?! TBH the only deaths so far are people with pre-existing illnesses and especially elderly. Regarding BTC, this would be the worst time to sell, unless you bought cheaper that this a while back.If you have money to survive this unfortunate event (spare food, being safe, etc), in my humble personal opinion, you should not sell. At the end of the day though, you know what is best for you and your money. Here lies the difference, BTC is different as it is all entirely up to you with what and when it means and values to you (when correlating to cash $,£, etc)

Buying opportunity approaching! I just need to learn when to sell at the right time.
Why are cryptos falling, their prices should be rising like gold at times like this.
I opened up coinmarketcap this morning, saw all the red, and said "holy fucking shit".
Weird times, but whatever, as long as I make a big profit!
i thought gold is up only due to having $$$ being pumped into by the fed reserve. btc is down as people are selling and reacting to the surroundings (ie. corona and lockdown, travel bans, isolation, etc...) PS> let the price drop, i wanted a low entry level for a while

Coronavirus or not, any chain of events that would force people to get liquidity (cash) will force people to sell - I am referring here to people who own 'considerable' amounts of BTC.
We are fundamentality driven by emotions... fear rules overall.
I believe more will sell as the virus will spread and as well, the second emotion will kick in, greed (can be seen as FOMO) and people will buy-in.
The true test lies ahead. Survival and reaping what comes after

Hi,
found two PSU's not being used in the garage (evga 1000 and 850 , gold 80+ model both).
if I want to power a 750W ASIC miner should I use one PSU for 2 hash boards and the other one (smaller) for the last hash board and the mainboard?
also, since they are modular, can any leads be used to power the gear? ie. the GPU/CPU/peripherals?
thanks

I am afraid to do a gestimateROI for these do to the halving. based on: Antminer S17+ 67TH/s - $23/TH (@40W/TH); and Antminer T17+ 55TH/s - $16.50/TH (@50W/TH) plus shipping 21-30, Apr. 2020 and previous antminer experience of selling new gear while having pended orders at a later date makes me think... Could mean that Antminer S19 Pro 110TH/s - should cost between $1850 to $2500 based on the TH current price. Will probably get one not to remain behind

What is making me freaking angry is following:
There is no goddamn way to mine using a wallet or mining address as your worker. Yes, exactly, you got it.
I am trying really hard to understand the above. Are you talking about pool mining? As far as I am aware (from other BTC inno miners) where you have the username you can use a wallet address (for example NiceHash worker name is the wallet). Have you managed to sort it out? Unless you are talking about solo mining? Do let me know. Regarding the software, personally, I do not see that happening any time soon.

personally I would go for BTC, but you would have to factor in the refunds and how will you credit the people back, if needed.
eBay and PayPal I personally stay away from them as they have fees which would have to be included in the price, making you sell at either a market price or for a lesser profit.

|
|
On a case by case basis.
For example, personally, I would chase them on common issues for miners in the exact circumstances I have encountered and allow them to answer on the lines of 'in this environment, the equipment should behave optimally'. Now, if the answer would be received would take it from there and find possible reasons (again coming from them) as to why the miners are not working. In a utopian society, would shift the blame and obtain an exception to the case on delivery charges on warranty returns, conditioned on the issues being solely theirs and not mine. This would ofc be conditioned again on the testing and if the report finds them at fault I would accept the shipping paid by me to be refunded, again, have it in writing as pre-agreed, and again, this costs time to achieve.
It would be a back and forth process, requiring time, thus costing money, but for higher amounts, anything more than $£1000 for me, I would chase it, again personally I would, as everything that helps reduce costs impacts my ROI.

I have to ask.
Have you ordered them recently?
If they are still in warranty go back to Bitmain, start the ticket for the whole order and put them to pay to have them back and serviced at their expense...
Also, go on their Facebook and Twitter, even LinkedIn if they have if they do not help out as this is inadmissible.
No one should get used gear, let me correct that. If you get used gear it has to be within certain standards. I haven't dealt with used gear as much as other members in this community, but I have never, yet, seen a falling radiator...
Again, really sorry to hear this has happened to you and hope you get through it

a bit of a rushed post as I am heading out the door... Bitmain has completed my refund, I believe it has both refunds in one transaction, I have emailed for confirmation. T17e from September order has been updated, finally https://imgur.com/a/tzDyTU1Will edit post for better sense when back and/or when Bitmain reply on confirmation for refunds. I believe many refunds will go out today as BTC dropped a bit in price

Hi, @Philip Hope you both get well soon. Wednesday business day in China had long time passed for today (Wednesday) and no refunds have been processed nor any emails have been received on my end. The refund I am talking about is the $398 to BTC for the second batch of t17e that bitmain sold in sept 2019 Another email has been sent to Carol: Hi Carol,
My refund has not been received yet.
Could you help expedite this?
I do hope this will not hinder our collaboration going forward.
I look forward to hearing from you
Regards.
